In regards to shipping and ship hate.
For those who don't know, I am a support worker. I support vulnerable adults ( the youngest currently being 19 and the eldest being almost 70 ) with mostly mental health issues but also some with autism and personality disorders.
The 19 year old has been bullied so severely you wouldn't believe the effects it has had on her.  I can’t talk about it because of confidentiality but sometimes I wish I could just because it is a lot.
Today I supported her just to get a bus to go to a support group. There she met with friends who understood her and have been in her shoes, where they can feel accepted and just sit and chat with tea and coffee and snacks and there is a studio upstairs so they can make artwork.  It’s amazing and I got to chat with other people like her. I showed interest in one girls hat and then suddenly she was showing me her art and OCS from different fandoms.
She absolutely lit up when I mentioned being in one of her fandoms and then she got really worried because she had just told me about one of her OCS that she shipped with a canon character. She was terrified I was going to judge her. She been bullied over her ship then her art and then it turned to just cruel online bullying.
This girl has been through hell in her real life and her art and her ship was her escape and people destroyed that for her.
I am full of so much fury for her.
I want to make something very clear, I am Not in anyway saying that LGBTGA+ people cannot dislike a ship when one of the characters is canonically queer.  I am not saying they can’t complain about it on their blog and openly hate it and talk about how it effects us.
What I Am saying is that this does not give anyone a free pass to come into someones ask box and give them shit for their ships.
You do not know who is sitting behind that computer, you could be calling another queer person homophobic, you could be telling someone who turns to these characters and ships for comfort and solace from the hell they go through in their real lives to kill themselves.
Someone shipping Mercy76 is not erasing anyones sexuality.  Jack Morrison is canonically gay.  If a Mercy Mun and a 76 Mun want their muses, their versions of the characters, to make out it does not make THEE Jack ‘John’ Francis Morrison any less gay.
If you don’t want to see it unfollow, blacklist, request a tag etc.  You control your experience on Tumblr.  If you don’t want to see it you don’t have to see it.
What you absolutely should never do is go into someone elses Ask box and bully them about it.  Because that’s what it is.  It’s harrassment and it’s bullying and it’s harming actual people.  It’s bullying hidden behind a veil of righteousness.
My otp’s for Mercy are McMercy and Gency, I like other ships but those are the main two.  If it had came out that McCree was gay I would hope my McCree partners would still ship with me because we have built our characters relationships, I can’t speak for them but I can say that they have been a great comfort for me and I love the Muns and I get a great enjoyment and escape writing with them.
tl;dr dont be jerks to real people over fictional characters, you don’t know the person behind the screen.  You dont know how they identify, you don’t know what struggles they may be dealing with and you don’t know how much of a lifeline one thing can be to someone in a Mental Health Crisis.
You control your dash. If you dont want to see it, dont look at it, leave other people alone.

Stranger things is about mental health & trauma- deal with it!
I’ve seen a lot of people claim anyone who mentioned this topic immediately be gaslit and told they’re “just crazy” and “rudely projecting their own issues on to the characters.’ Like- no you don’t have to believe my  Will DID/Lonnie theory ( I could be wrong). But to claim one of the show’s central themes isn’t about mental health/trauma (screams either complete lack of lit comprehension or denial cause you have your own negative biases towards such people). So let’s just go into what’s literal text-not subtext/symbolism. Just the super blatant stuff.  RIGHT IN THE SHOW!
S1
-We have El when she first appears on screen  asked by Benny if her parents starved and hurt her and if that’s why she ran away. Benny then calls CPS to say El “may have been ab*sed or something.” After this Lucas says there is “seriously something wrong with her-wrong in the head. She’s probably from the NUT-HOUSE in curly county.penthurst” We also see El  cannonically has PTSD-all of s1 she’ll see something benign (a cat, a coke commercial, a closet) and is triggered to see a traumatic flashback. That’s literally ptsd.  There’s also hints throughout the seasons she’s developmentally behind in both language, telling time etc (neglect like El’s irl can cause an intellectual disability-analysis on El/that subject here).The real pethurst in pensylvannia (not the one in stranger things/ Curly county)  closed in 1986-  it was a facility for people and mostly  kids with intellectual disabilities (it wasn’t technically a psych facility like the one in st)-but it was infamous for it’s abuse of these intellectually disabled patients kept there. We also have Brenner be a ab*sive psychiatrist.
- Hopper after suffering from the loss of his daughter. Is popping pills like candy, drinking and smoking constantly. He later says he used to hallucinate and forgot what was real -seeing and hearing sarah and says if he didn’t confront the pain he’d “fall down a black hole he couldn’t get out of.” NO... subtext here about what the void represents nope.
- Both mothers (Terry & Joyce) are dismissed as being mentally ill and simply grieving the loss of their kids . But both end up being right about the supernatural.
- “Terry pretends Jane is real. i mean it’s all make believe. you know the doctors all say it’s a coping mechanism.”
- While with Joyce the whole town pre s1 already questioned her mental health. Jonathan says “She used to have anxiety problems (pre s1).” And Jonathan, Hopper, and Lonnie all assume she’s hallucinating: talking to Will via lights, seeing a man without a face, saying Will’s body is fake -due to grief. Plus Lonnie mentions the fact Joyce’s aunt Darlene also used to hallucinate as a possible reason  (terry’s aunt also had mental health issues mentioned in s2 by Becky). Lonnie even says everything Joyce is seeing  is “all in her head.”  Hopper and Jon both say she needs to sleep and accept reality and Lonnie says she needs to see a “shrink”.  Hopper “i’m not saying that you’re crazy”. Joyce : “no, you are.” Joyce also says to Lonnie “Stop looking at me like that... like everyone else like i’m out of my damn mind.” Hopper also says about Joyce she’s “on the edge”. Callahan says in response , “she’s been on the edge for a while now” (referring to her mental health- even before Will’s dissappearance)”. While Lonnie says Jonathan is “feeding into her hallucinations ... you’re going to push her right over the edge.” In s2 Hopper says “ I think everyone is on edge- you, me, Will most of all. (when talking about Will’s ptsd/trauma)”
- in s1 They claim Will just “fell” over the edge of the quarry’s cliff. Later the only other queer coded character (Mike) jumps off the quarry cliff (where Will’s body was found) cause the homophobic troy forced him too jump. Troy even says earlier dead-Will is “flying with all the other fairies all happy and gay” (to Mike). And Troy says to Hopper El made Mike “fly” after jumping off the cliff. Friendship saved him from jumping off the edge metaphorically ( and he’ll prob eventually be happy and gay too).
s2/3
-Will is seeing a therapist . And we are told he has ptsd and will experience the anniversary effect, personality changes,nightmares, having episodes, etc. And things “will get worse before they get better”.  Mike also asks if what Will is seeing is “real or like the doctors say all in your head?” And Will continues to see hallucinations of the mf/upsidedown that only he can see initially.
-Hopper also agrees with owens mentioning how he knew guys with ptsd . joyce : “it’s not like he’s describing a nightmare. He talks about them like they’re real.” Hopper: “Yeah, because they’re not nightmares they’re flashbacks.I think he’s right about trauma.I think everyone is on edge (bringing that s1 ref back), Me you, Will, most of all.Nothing’s gonna go back to the way that it was. But it’ll get better.In time.”
-Nancy suffers from survivor’s guilt and drunkingly says she killed Barb. Jonathan says like Nancy he has “a weight that you that carry all the time . i feel it too.” (cough depression). He also says he tries to be there for Will but says about Will “he’s not the same. maybe things can’t go back to the way they were. (mirroring Hopper’s words earlier that season)”
-Jonathan said in s1 Joyce had “anxiety issues” than Nancy says in s3 “you really are your mother’s son... you worry too much.” Then we see him look worried after the comment.
- in s2, Axel & a scientist both call El and Will “schizos” because of their powers. In s3 mrs driscoll isn’t believed about the supernatural cause she’s schizophrenic-but like Joyce/Terry was right.
- Kali saves a woman named Dottie (a british slang term for crazy)  from a mental hospital and then compares herself and El to dottie. saying her non-powered gang is “Like us ...outsiders... society discarded them.”  In graphitti we even see the title “obedlam” a british poem about discarding the mentally ill and leaving them homeless.  El before this sees a mentally ill man screaming “we’re all dead!” Kali’s friend says to El, after this encounter they were “dead all of us” until kali “saved them here” (points to head) “and here” (points to heart). Pointing to the theme of love and friendship helping those with such issues. Similar to the cliff analogy.
-The cycle of ab*se. Max in s2 says she’s afraid of becoming like Billy (her ab*ser). We see Billy mimic his ab*ser neil and inflict pain on max. In s3 we see the roots of his behavior are linked to mimicking Neil- Neil in a flashback says  about baseball “what are you scared?”  “ did i raise a p*ssy for a son”. So young Billy later in a fight says to a boy “ what are you scared to fight me? fight me p*ssy. (as he beats the boy)” Deflecting his anger of his father on to someone else. In s3, We see as a kid he used to say to Neil “don’t hurt her” (his mom)-specifically after  Neil backhand slaps her -but we later see possessed Billy backhand slap Max (just like neil).  The resentment to his mother leaving - festered into how he views women and max negatively . And his attraction to mrs wheeler prob is linked to him subconsciously missing his mother. Max in s2 even says  he can’t take it out on her mother so he does so to her instead (we even have Billy hallucinate hurting mrs wheeler).We see in s2 the cycle of abuse is there- Billy mimics Neil, and then Max mimics Billy. Billy harrasses Max and yells “SAY IT!” (mimicking Neil).  Max like Billy later  yells “SAY IT” and uses a bat /violence to stand up for herself against Billy- which earlier she said she was trying to combat … explaining she can be angry like Billy sometimes but she never wants to be like him (her nickname symbolizing this: aka ‘mad max’).  Billy’s last dying words were an apology to Max- for becoming her neil. And we hopefully will see Max break this cycle.
- Will says his now memories (that he describes like dreams) are “growing “, “spreading “,and “killing”. While Kali says they need to face their father and (as Brenner) says El has to confront her “wound” or else it’ll “grow”, “spread” and “eventually it’ll kill her.” Kali says she used to be like El . She used to bottle her pain away and it “spread.” But she then says  “I confronted my pain and I finally began to heal (from those wounds).” We also see with jonathan and nancy when describing “shared trauma” zoom in onto the scars on their hands. The wound heeled into a scar so to speak.
S2 & 3 ENDINGS
both have Hopper do a speech that delves into dealing with trauma/depression but still finding good along the way.
-s2 Hopper outside the snowball: “how are you holding up? Yeah, that feeling never goes away. It is true what they say, you know. Everyday it does get easier.”
-s3 Hopper monolouge : “ Feelings jesus. For so long, i’d forgotten what those even were. I’ve been stuck in one place,in a cave you might say , a deep dark cave (cough s2 supernatural cave). For the first time in a long time, i started to feel things again. I started to feel happy. Life... yeah sometimes it’s painful .sometimes it’s sad, and sometimes it’s suprising... happy.. And when life hurts you, because it will .remember the hurt . The hurt is good. It means you’re out of that cave.”
BUT YES- St has nothing to do with mental health/trauma, we’re just “crazy” and “projecting”. It’s not like some of ya’ll  act pompous when you just have a bias and get pissy at the idea of relating to characters you “other” as “crazy” or “damaged” irl or anything (so attack people for pointing it out). Or (benefit of the doubt) you are just like.... oblivious... or just a kid who doesn’t know better XD

Royalty Au
Kakashi and Gai have known each other since childhood. It’s an outcome of Kakashi’s father, Sakumo, being the royal guard to King Dai. That plus Sakumo being an only father since his wife's death, and he finds himself having to have Kakashi by his side a lot growing up. He could get someone to take care of his son, but Kakashi keeps running them into the ground and scaring them off.
Thankfully, the king is very understanding and loves that his son has someone else to play with.  Most people who interact with Gai treat him like a porceline. Like they have to be super careful around him or he might shatter. Kakashi doesn’t do that. He respects Gai of course. Calls him ‘your highness’ and always bows when they greet each other or say goodbye, but otherwise, he considers Gai his friend. They run around the garden together, learn together, play together. Everything that Gai does, Kakashi does with him. Sometimes Kakashi will even be able to help Gai with his learning, being a quick learner himself who can explain things better for Gai than his tutor.
As they grow up, they continue to hang out. Even when Kakashi starts to train under Lady Kushina as a page at the age of 7, Kakashi will often use his time off from training to spend with Gai.
Gai is the first person Kakashi ever tells of his dream to become a great knight. Not just like his father, but even better. He wants to prove that he’s talented and smart and that he can protect the Kingdom and the Prince from anything and anyone. Gai feels a little sad that day, even though he loves the excitement in Kakashi’s voice when he hears about his dream. But knowing that Kakashi is going to put himself into a job that could get him killed young, all to try to prove himself. that hurts Gai’s heart.
When Kakashi is promoted to Squire at the age of 11, it’s a huge celebration. People are amazed by this kid's progress. the standard age for becoming a squire is 15, and Kakashi’s already well on his way to becoming the youngest knight in history. Even with his extra duties though, he makes sure to always visit Gai in the garden at least twice a week. They still have race’s around the place, and sometimes Kakashi will show Gai how to sword fight. Gai does get lessons from a tutor of course, but he finds that he learns easier from Kakashi. Kakashi just has a way of talking to him that helps him understand quicker. Plus Kakashi always lets him make things into a competition, which helps a lot with getting him pumped and ready to learn.
When Kakashi is knighted at the age of 16, Gai’s not sure how to feel. He’s excited for his old friend of course. This was part of Kakashi’s dream. He’s already making a name for himself separate from his father. But at the same time, Gai’s terrified that this means he won’t have any time with Kakashi anymore. Kakashi will be too busy to visit him, and he’ll be alone with no one to hang out with but the people who treat him like porcelain.
Of course, Dai won’t have that. Kakashi is immediately made Gai’s royal guard. Partially to keep him out of the field where he might find nothing but a young death, and partially to keep Kakashi and Gai close. He knows how important the two are to each other already, and he refuses to be the one to tear them away from each other.
When it comes to marriage at the age of 20, Gai is not excited. He can’t think of anyone he wants to marry, and he always finds problems with the people that he is presented with. Genma is too pessemistic, Obito is too... well, Obito. Him and Kisame just want to rip each others throats out most of the time, and while he gets along fine with Rin the two of them both agree they’d prefer to be friends.
It’s not until someone mentions to Kakashi that he should also be looking to settle down that Gai realizes why he can’t choose a marriage partner.
He doesn’t want anyone else. He wants to be with Kakashi. To have Kakashi by his side, not just as his knight, but as his partner.
He knows it’s not conventional. Most people marry royalty from other lands to strengthen treaties or secure partnerships. But his father never married. He found other ways to do those things, so surely Gai can too. Right?
He’s afraid to bring it up to his father. Terrified that he’ll be rejected. But when he finally does, Dai just laughs and tells his son that it’s about time. That he just needed to tell him what it was he wanted, and he would make it happen for him.
Gai and Kakashi don’t get married right away. Neither of them is in a rush.
But when they do it’s a big event, and Kakashi is not pleased about this fact.
Both of their fathers are standing by their side, proud that their sons have found each other and can be together. That they know who’s side they belong at. Kakashi can’t imagine Anyone else protecting Gai, and Gai wouldn’t have anyone else standing beside him as his husband or as his royal guard.
Kakashi’s position does not change at all. There are people of course who are adamant that the King's husband cannot be his royal guard. that the position is too dangerous.
But Dai knows that neither of the boys are going to let anyone else take Kakashi’s position, and he’s alright with that. Kakashi has always been the one to protect Gai, and he always will be.
Skill Swap Au
Kakashi and Gai still meet outside of the academy, but it’s Kakashi who has been turned away. Denied entry because of his lack of skill in Ninjitsu or Genjutsu. Gai feels bad for the other boy. He looks so sad standing there by his father's side, the White fangs side, knowing that he can’t get into the academy because he has been deemed ‘not good enough
Seeing something in Kakashi that no one else did, Gai decides to challenge him to a spar. It takes a few attempts, and Kakashi gets annoyed really easily at his challenges and tries to remind him that he’s just going to lose to ‘the genius’, but finally Kakashi caves.
And Kakashi loses, badly. But when he crawls to his feet and stuffs his hands into his pockets determined to leave, Gai stops him and tells him that they should spare again.
And he doesn’t stop challenging Kakashi. No matter how many times Kakashi wants to give up. No matter how often the two of them hear that Gai’s ‘wasting his time with a failure’. Gai never gives up on Kakashi.
He knows what Kakashi could be capable of. He has seen his own father train her to be strong, and he has seen Kakashi training on his own. Kakashi is not a quitter. He works his butt off and always comes home bruised and tired from his efforts. Gai knows if they just keep at it, that Kakashi can become strong.
Ultimately, with Gai’s help and a lot of perseverance, Kakashi finally makes it into the academy. It’s a moment of celebration for them both and Gai can’t stop congratulating Kakashi.
Halfway through the year, Sakumo’s mission goes terribly wrong, and suddenly ‘the white fang’ is a name no longer spoken with pride. It’s a name that people spit venom at. And that loss in pride hits Kakashi hard. After Sakumo’s death, Kakashi disappears from the academy.
Gai’s terrified that Kakashi has given up. That he’s just going to let those hateful people’s words win and stop trying to become a great shinobi.
He’s wrong. Oh so wrong. Kakashi’s more determined than ever to prove himself. to show the village that he can be a great Ninja no matter what they say. Every day from dawn to dusk Kakashi trains endlessly. Pushing himself to near collapse just to get stronger.
It’s at this point, after finding Kakashi unconscious in a field after a long day of training, that Dai decides to show him the eight gates.
Having Kakashi around the house a lot more is pretty weird, but Gai also really enjoys it. Kakashi’s not always the friendliest person, but he’s always helping out around the house with chores.
Gai graduated from the academy at the age of five, setting the record for the youngest shinobi to become a genin ever. Choza Sensei decides when he’s six to have him compete in the chunin exams, and he is promoted before any of his classmates even make genin.
Kakashi graduated at the age of seven, which is still really impressive given the fact that people have always said he would never amount to anything.
Gai gets placed on team choza with Ebisu and Genma, while Kakashi gets placed on Team Minato with Obito and Rin. Kakashi’s still very ‘by the rules’ because of his father, but rather than fighting with Obito over who’s stronger, Kakashi and Obito get along a bit better.
By the time they’re 11, Kakashi has actually managed to beat Gai in a fight. It’s no surprise to Gai when he becomes a chunin along with the others, even as Gai is promoted to Jonin ahead of them.
Team Minato still gets the Kannabi bridge mission, but they’re given another Jonin to lead the mission while Minato takes care of his part of it. When Rin is kidnapped, Obito convinces Kakashi to go with him to get her even though they’re going directly against Jonin’s orders.
Kakashi still loses his eye protecting Obito, Obito still awakens his sharing, and then Obito ‘dies’ saving Kakashi from being crushed by a bolder.
Kakashi is blamed for the mission going wrong when they get back to Konoha, but instead of allowing it to eat at him, he decides to keep training. To become stronger and show the village that he’s not the failure they think he is.
Gai is determined to help him in this mission and starts making their competitions into training sessions together.
Whenever someone gets rude with Kakashi or blames him for Obito’s death, they usually find themselves meeting the end of Gai’s foot. Kakashi may not be willing to stand up to them, but Gai is more than happy to do it for them.
Rin doesn’t die in this au because of Kakashi. Instead, recognizing that she has no other way out, she uses Kakashi’s distraction while fighting the enemy shinobi to take her own life.
Obito’s still mad at Kakashi for not being able to save her, and Kakashi still see’s her blood on his hands in his nightmares. But that’s because he actually held her body while she bled out.
Recognizing his student’s strength and hurt, Minato decides to shove Kakashi into Anbu. Something that’s frowned upon by many until Kakashi starts going out onto missions. They’re surprised by his sheer strength and ability in the field.
When Minato dies against the Kyuubi, Kakashi sinks deeper into depression and tries to push everyone away, including Gai.
Of course, Gai doesn’t allow this. He refuses to let Kakashi suffer alone and always tries to keep up with their competition and spars.
When he realizes just how bad Anbu is affecting Kakashi’s mental health, Gai decides to try and join so that he can be with him. But he’s turned away because of his personality (just like in Canon)
So instead, he decides to get Kakashi out.
Kakashi’s not too happy to be made a join sensei after being shoved out of Anbu, but he takes it as punishment for not being able to help Itachi avoid the massacre route that he chose to take (in Kakashi’s eye since he doesn’t know the truth at this point)
Over the years, Kakashi has grown a lot as a shinobi. Even Itachi was surprised to see just how strong Kakashi was with just Taijutsu and did a lot of training with him to improve his own Taijutsu.
Come the Chunin exams with Team seven and Team Gai, Neji, Lee, and Tenten are unsurprised to find that Team Seven is extremely skilled in Taijutsu. Kakashi has taught them well, and these three are ready to take names and kick butt.
Sasuke still loses in his fight against Lee, but Lee’s proud to say that he was taught Taijutsu from their sensei (taught first by Gai, and then improved upon by Kakashi) and that they’re surely going to get stronger with more time under him.
The month that Kakashi spends training up Sasuke’s taijutsu is possibly the worst month of Sasuke’s life. He’s introduced to Kakashi’s personal training methods and it is not fun. Not one bit.
And after the chunin exams, while the village is trying to repair itself from the Konoha crush and settle into some sense of nromality, Itachi and Kisame show up. This time, it’s Gai who faces down Itachi and ends up in a 72 hour genjutsu. Itachi knows better than to allow the genius time to come up with a plan. But then just as Kisame is about to swoop in and finish Gai, Kakashi shows up and kicks him away. A genius and the best taijutsu master of Konoha? Itachi is out. This is not worth the hassle.
Sasuke finds out about Itachi's appearance in the village while Kakashi, Kurenai and Asuma are watching over Gai while he's resting from Itachi's attack. Kakashi of course goes after his student
Kakashi also gets to the the 'dynamic entry' against Jiraiya, kicking him in the face and away from his students. He recognizes Jiraiya of course, but damn he'd be lying if he said that didn't feel good.

Her Tears (Part 2/2)
Dean x Reader
Synopsis: Monsters aren't always supernatural creatures. Sometimes they're normal looking, everyday people. When one of those people scare y/n, Sam saves the day with Dean as a witness. But maybe he can be the hero by the end of the night.
Word Count: 1554
Warnings: Harrassment
@beanie-beebo I think?
Tumblr media
The car ride back to the bunker was eerily quiet. So much so, you worried something was wrong.
“What’s wrong Dean? Mad at us ‘cause you didn’t get a hook-up?” You teased.
“No.”
Okay….
“I know! You’re upset I beat you at pool,” you tapped his shoulder playfully.
“No,” he shook his head.
“Shall we continue our night at home?” You asked hopefully, ready to forget about the creep and what he promised. You shivered.
“You guys can. I’m goin’ to bed,” Dean answered as he witnessed you shivering through the rearview mirror. “You cold, y/n? Sammy, give her your jacket.”
“My what?”
“Your jacket Sam. She’s cold,” he snapped, unable to look at the traitor. Sam knew what you meant to him. He freaking knew. Yet, he kissed you anyway. The memory had him clenching the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white.
“Uh-okay-” Sam started stripping his jacket off.
“I’m not cold, Sam. But thanks,” you gave Dean a sidelong glance and leaned back into your seat. Not sure what his problem was, but more than happy to be in the safety of Baby, even if Dean was acting weird.
Sam knew exactly what Dean’s problem was. He had seen you guys kiss and obviously didn’t know why it even happened. In his state, there was no talking sense into him either. He sighed, Dean was hopeless at times.
~~~~~~~~~~
Once back at the bunker, you practically ran to your room to wash off the creep and the kiss. Not that you didn’t love Sam, but kissing him was the same as kissing your long lost brother; gross and unnecessary.
Except, maybe, for tonight.
But never again.
Hopefully.
Ugh.
Sam, wishing he could follow suit, followed his brother down the hall instead.
“Sam, stop following me. I’m going to bed, remember?”
“No you’re not and we both know it, Dean.”
“Look,” Dean spun around. “It’s cool, okay? I get it,” he started back down the hall.
“No, Dean, you don’t-” Sam reached out to grab him.
“I do. Really, I do. She picked you. That’s fine. I’m fine,” he almost shouted.
“That creep was all over her, Dean! You were busy getting drinks when he whispered- I don’t know what- in her ear and she visibly paled,” he paused, letting Dean sink that bit of information in. Taking a deep, calming breath, he continued. “She was scared. I ran over there and told the guy she was with me in hopes of not causing a scene, but-”
“You did,” Dean sighed heavily, shoulders slumping. “He made you. God, that perv! If I hadn’t-”
“Dean, don’t blame yourself. If it wasn’t her -who has us, by the way- then it would’ve been someone else. Someone who doesn’t have us.”
“But it was her!” Dean rounded on Sam. “The only other person aside from you that I cannot live without,” he said between clenched teeth.
“Pretty sure you were planning on killing me tonight,” Sam attempted to lighten the mood. Dean  glared daggers at him.
“What did he say?”
Sam shrugged.
“Sam,” he took a step closer with each word. “What. Did. He. Say.”
“I don’t know, Dean. She wouldn’t tell me, I swear.”
“But he scared her?”
“Looked like it. She was pretty pale, man.”
“I’m gonna kill him.”
~~~~~~~~~~
Bam. Bam. Bam.
There was only one man who knocked like that.
“Coming in!” Dean shouted, swinging the door open only to see you wearing his old shirt you stole and no pants.
So much for a warning.
“Dean!” Mouthwash spray covered the tiny mirror above your sink, the minty liquid dripping down your chin. “You coulda waited a half second. Jeez.”
“Pants, y/n! You live with men! How many times do I have to tell you,” he said, unable to look away. He loved seeing you in his shirt. Granted, he didn’t know you had stolen that particular AC/DC shirt until this moment. That thought was short lived the moment his eyes made it to your legs. Those legs. He just knew they would be silky smooth to the touch. His fingers twitched.
“My room, Dean! I don’t have to wear pants if I don’t want to in my own room! Behind a closed door!” You shouted back at him, not caring about being half naked. It’s not like this was the first time and you doubted it would be the last. Plus, you liked that he couldn’t help but stare at your legs. “Maybe you should learn manners!”
“Manners?” His face scrunched in confusion, now looking you in the eye. Clearly, he had no idea what you were talking about.
“Nothing,” you sighed, knowing he hadn’t heard a word you said as you wiped the mouthwash off your chin. You were tired, just wanted to go to bed, and really didn’t want to deal with Mr. Grumpy-pants.
That sigh broke Dean’s heart. He didn’t know why, he just knew in his gut it was more than a simple sigh. Something had happened at the bar and he was too busy getting drinks to notice. If something had happened to you, he wouldn’t have been able to forgive himself. Quietly he stepped over to you, wrapped his arms tight around your body, bringing you into his chest and loving the feel of your curves, but he needed to know what the creep had said to you.
“Why didn’t you scream, or yell, or shout? Why didn’t you call for me?” Dean said into your hair, his voice rough.
“Wha-” You pushed against his chest to pull away, but that only made him hold onto you even tighter.
“That creep-”
“Ugh. Sam.”
“He was worried about you. Don’t be mad at him,” he paused to keep himself from admitting why Sam really told him. “What happened.” It wasn’t a question. It was never a question when Dean asked anything he felt he needed to know.
“Nothing, Dean. It’s over. I’m fine,” you choked out trying to keep the tears at bay. That creep wasn’t just a creep. He was a monster. Not the weird, supernatural kind. Not the kind you were used to ganking, but the kind that preyed on women. The kind that hunts women for fun and games just to torture them. The kind that left a deeper emotional scar than any physical scar could ever make.
“Mmm, you smell delicious,” he whispered, smiling with a cruel glint in his eye. “I bet you taste even better than you smell, darlin’.”
You shivered.
“You cold?” He chuckled. “Don’t worry, I’ll warm you right up. I’ll rub you in all the right places and make you feel oh,” he licked your ear, “so,” his wet tongue stroked again in front of your ear, “good,” he nibbled your earlobe.
Frozen, you felt all blood drain down to your feet.
“And if not tonight,” he sniffed your hair again. “Then soon. I promise.”
Dean felt you shaking in his arms. “Hey, hey, hey,” he whispered. “I’m right here, sweetheart. I’m not going anywhere, I promise.”
Those words. Those two simple words are what caused you to cry out, your knees giving out from beneath you.
“Whoa, what’s wrong?” Dean panicked, sinking to the floor with you, turning you in his arms to cradle you. “Y/n, it’s okay. I’m here,” he rocked you back and forth as he gently shushed you, attempting to calm you down.
The more you cried, the more Dean wanted to go kill the guy. Each sniffle. Each wracking sob. Every time you shook in his arms. What had the guy said? What could have possibly hurt you like this? He had never seen you cry. Not like this. Maybe a few tears for the kids you guys couldn’t save, but never this heart-wrenching. Never had he not been able to make you smile after a hard day. A hard hunt. But this. . . he didn’t know what to do when you were like this. He didn’t know how to make it better.
“What can I do, sweetheart? How can I make it better?” Dean croaked out, still rocking you.
You shook your head, snuggling into his chest. Your sad attempt at hiding.
“How can I make it go away? Tell me, please, y/n. Tell me and I’ll make it all better,” he begged, wishing you would open up.
After a while, the tears dried up and the shaking stopped, and you whispered, your broken voice barely audible. “He promised.”
Dean stiffened, his mind reeling. He knew what you meant. Really, he did. He just wanted to be wrong. “Promised what,” he ground out.
“T-t-to, to make me. . .”
“Don’t,” he said. “You don’t have to say it.”
“He licked my ear,” you whispered, snuggling deeper into him.
“I’m gonna kill him.” Dean stood up with you in his arms and set you down on your bed before turning away to get Sam. They were going to teach that monster a lesson.
“No!  Please, don’t leave me. Stay with me,” you begged, grabbing his arm, your red-rimmed eyes still glassy from the tears.
“Always,” he caved, unable to say no to you. Especially in the state you were in.
Tomorrow, Dean vowed. Tomorrow he would find the monster responsible for your tears. He would find him, and he would pay.

Conversation
The Complete Fiction of HP Lovecraft rated by me, someone who read them all* but has a terrible memory
The Beast in The Cave: uh a guy goes on a cave tour and finds a creature that was like a human that got lost and adapted to its surroundings. 0/10 just because im pretty sure there was another one with this exact premise and neither of them were memorable at all.
The Alchemist: dude achieves immortality and lives in the narrators basement and has pledged to murder his entire lineage or something. 4/10 the alchemy stuff was actually kind of interesting
The Tomb: im pretty sure this is the one where a guy starts hanging out in a tomb and like travels back in time/becomes one of his ancestors? 5/10 if its the one im thinking of i did enjoy reading it
Dagon: guy lands on a mysterious island with signs of a long dead civilization. 1/10 i do not remember what happened in it
A Reminiscence of Dr. Samuel Johnson: 0/10 i have no memory of this
Polaris: also 0/10 i forgot all about it
Beyond the Wall of Sleep: could be any of the dream focused ones. if its the one about the dude sailing into the void or whatever than 4/10 not too bad
Memory: ironically, i dont remember it. 0/10
Old Bugs: 1/10 for the title god i wish i remembered this one
The Transition of Juan Romero: i got nothing. 0/10
The White Ship: this might also be the one about the dude sailing into the void? i liked that one he lived in a lighthouse and boarded a dream ship and just fucking left it was fun. 4/10
The Street: uh i think really steep street that didnt actually exist. 3/10
The Doom that Came to Sarnath: i wanna say another one of the dream centered ones where a town discovers some old relics and blatantly disrespects them and gets exactly whats coming to it. 5/10 they deserved what they got
The Statement of Randolph Carter: ok this dude shows up several times. i think this one is about how he returns to his childhood home then travels back in time and creates a time loop paradox thing. 1/10 meh
The Terrible Old Man: uh some thieves harrass a weird old guy and get got. 5/10
The Cats of Ulthar: someone is mean to a cat in a dream city, all of the rest of the cats get revenge and are revered for the rest of time. 2/10 (-3 because lovecraft has a specific name he gives to apparently every fictional and real cat he encounters and wow i wish he hadn't)
The Tree: i feel like this is something to do with a person becoming a tree but i cant actually remember. 0/10
Celephais: yeah no i got nothing 0/10
The Picture in the House: also nothing 0/10
The Temple: nope 0/10
Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and his Family: is this the one where the dude's great grandfather married an ape? i dont think so but im not sure. 0/10, -5/10 if it is that one cause that one was especially shitty
From Beyond: nope 0/10
Nyarlathotep: charismatic dude shows up and is like get in bitches we're going to the void. i love nyarlathotep cause hes the one who directly interacts with humanity and like wears a human suit or whatever so hes just some dude whos like hey im gonna feed you to azathoth 5/0
The Quest of Iranon: got nothing 0/10
The Music of Erich Zann: narrator makes friends with an old musician whos being hunted by supernatural forces. 2/10 because i remember it but it was just ok
Ex Oblivione: 1/10 for the title but i have no clue what it was about
Sweet Ermengarde: lovecraft's sole attempt at comedy. not to my taste like at all 0/10
The Nameless city: nope 0/10
The Outsider: also nope 0/10
The Moon-Bog: sounds cool, dont remember it. 0/10
The Other Gods: dude tries to find the gods of humanity where they live on a big mountain, actually finds them, is immediately smited by the Other Gods who protect the gods of humanity. 3/10 he deserved it
Azathoth: dont recall, 0/10
Herbert West- Reanimator: Arkham man Herbert West and his assistant ressurect the dead with little thought to the consequences, then get murdered by a band of said resurrected dead. 5/10
Hypnos: nope 0/10
What the Moon Brings: also nope 0/10
The Hound: still nope 0/10
The Lurking Fear: again, nope 0/10
The Rats in the Walls: dude returns to his ancestral home, hears rats, excavates the basement and finds out that his ancestors ate human flesh, eats his friend. 1/10 it was an interesting read but can lovecraft please stop calling cats that.
The Unnameable: no clue 0/10
The Festival: nope 0/10
*Under the Pyramids: ok im pretty sure this is the one with houdini which is the only one i could not read. i went into this mentally prepared for lovecraft's bigotry but i was not mentally prepared for him dropping harry houdini, avid skeptic who absolutely would have beat the shit out of him for this, into the middle of his super racist paranormal horror. -1000/10
The Shunned House: nope 0/10
The Horror at Red Hook: also nope 0/10
He: cool title, no memory of the story. 0/10
In the Vault: wow im bad at this. 0/10
Cool Air: still no 0/10
The Call of Cthulhu: kind of all over the place, there was a thing about artists and then a thing about a cop investigating a cult. 3/10 meh but ill give it a bonus for being a staple of horror fiction.
Pickman's Model: uh artist sees some wild shit and draws it and then it eats him. 2/10 i forget the details
The Strange High House in the Mist: if this is the one im thinking of, dude does a dangerous climb to find a mysterious house and meet the inhabitant who is kind of interdimensional and also being hunted by interdimensional things. also maybe the house eats people? 2/10
The Silver Key: another Randolph Carter one, and i think this is actually the one about him travelling back in time so idk what the other one was. 3/10
The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath: randolph carter goes on a quest in the dream world to find the gods of humanity and ask why they wont let him check out this cool city he can see from his window. lots of action and very wordy and went a lot of different places. 4/10 good read but extremely xenophobic
The Case of Charles Dexter Ward: guy investigates his ancestor who looks disturbingly like him, ancestor comes back to life and kills him and takes his place and a bunch of other stuff happens. mostly a dramatized genealogical study. 3/10 not bad, very suspenseful
The Colour Out Of Space: meteor lands on a farm, scientists get weirded out by it, everything in the area gets weird then dead, alien thing gets enough power from draining nearby life-forms to escape earth. fun twist ending. 4/10 bonus for being one of the better ones, detraction for writing out a 'rural accent'
The Descendant: nope, 0/10
The Very Old Folk: nope again, 0/10
History of the Necronomicon: very dry. fake history of lovecraft's fake book thats super important to a lot of the stories. 0/10
The Dunwich Horror: isolated witchy family has a kid who no one likes that grows up real fast. graphic descriptions of renovation. a horror gets unleashed on the area and the local folklore scholars have to deal with it. 1/10 nothing good enough to counter the xenophobia
Ibid: i remember this one. no idea what it's deal was. pseudo-bibliography? it was weird. 0/10
The Whisperer in Darkness: guy has a correspondance with another guy about local folk legends based on evil crab things. other guy gets straight up replaced by an evil crab thing and first guy doesnt even notice. imagine if you followed up on a scam email and didnt realize anything was up until you saw that the face of the dude you were talking to in person was a mask. 4/10 for the comedy this guy would not last in the internet age at all
At The Mountains of Madness: guy whines about penguins and how awful it would be if there were civilizations that predated humanity. also commits grave desecration. i get hit by the realization that if lovecraft was less of a racist coward he wouldve made a great speculative sci fi author. 3/10 i would love to watch that old asshole get absolutely torn to shreds by the monster fucker community
The Shadow over Innsmouth: Fish People! Leave Them Alone! Or Else! 5/10 the protagonist gets to live the dream by escaping human society and becoming an immortal fish person
The Dreams in the Witch House: dude rents an objectively haunted room, doesnt listen to people trying to help him, gets murdered by a weird rat. later they find a shit ton of bones in the attic. 2/10 meh
Through The Gates of the Silver Key: Randolph Carter transcends time and space, then de-transcends time and space and immediately gets stuck on another planet in the distant past, makes a long and difficult journey back to earth to find that his estate is being divided amongst his heirs. the comedy potential of a man stuck in an alien body dealing with a legal system that has declared him dead is not examined. 2/10
The Thing on the Doorstep: narrator's good friend marries a fish person witch who steals his body. thats basically it. 3/10. at this point im like wow these narrators really refuse to believe the heavily foreshadowed supernatural explanations that turn out to be correct huh.
The Evil Clergyman: dude is in a room. some ghosts (?) show up. dude has a UV light for some reason. Gets his face stolen i guess and just has to live with it. 5/10 for being absolutely buck wild and refusing to explain anything
The Book: nope 0/10
The Shadow Out Of Time: dude gets his body stolen by ancient scholar species. agonizes about it for a while. finds archaeological evidence of said species. finds a book he wrote while living with said species. almost gets eaten by something. 3/10 more cool speculative sci fi but lame protagonist
The Haunter of the Dark: you'd think id remember it bc this was the last one and i read it last night. oh wait, nvm i do remember it. dude finds an old box in a run down culty church and unleashes a horror that then comes and fucks him up. 1/10 meh.

Maggie Sawyer Trini (Power Rangers 2017) Sisters Headcanon(s)
(I’m going to mess with the ages a little, or at the very least the timeline so that Maggie ages way too fast, but it’s 2 am and I stopped caring 3 hours ago)
Maggie is 9 years older than Trini
Trini was 5 when Maggie was kicked out of the house by their parents
(She was sitting on the stairs just outside of her parents vision, but she could clearly hear her parents screaming, and even clearer see her sisters tears as she tries so hard to stay quiet.) (the moment the door slams shut was the last time she respected her father)
1 year later, her father leaves the family
(Although she resented him, Trini never stopped blaming herself. If only she was different, if she fit in more, he wouldn’t have left)
June Gomez started seeing one Mr. David Kwan only 3 months after that, a man Trini sees briefly at church every Sunday. 1 year later they were married and shortly after had two twin boys: Victor and Diego.
Trini, from the moments she laid eyes on these teo boys small and fragile in the hospital crib, loved her brothers more than she ever thought she could at 8 years old
(Still aching over the loss of a sister that would carry her on her back and run around the house, who would build her blanket forts and cuddle with her when the storms got too loud. Trini vowed to protect them, to make sure they always had someone like Maggie was to her)
Trini would always tell the boys stories of Maggie; about how great and loving she was, how she was funny and protective. She would show them her picture of her, and made them promise not to tell their parents about this
As Trini got older her family moved from Nebraska, to New York, to Minneapolis, to whetever. Trini started to forget Maggie, as much as it pained her. It started with her voice, her laugh, her warmth; but Trini always kept a picture of Maggie in her luggage so that she’ll never forget what she looked like
When Trini was twelve she was granted a phone of her own for the first time in her life, and that same birthday she got a visit from her aunt Lisa that she hadn’t even heard about for years. Her mother and her aunt had a whispered argument at the front door. Finally, Trini received 10 brief minutes with her aunt where she got a hug, a happy birthday, and the first phone number entered into her phone: one miss Maggie Sawyer
Trini was terrified about calling her. What if she doesn’t want to talk to her? Or thinks she’s just like their parents? Or doesn’t even remember her (which is ridiculous and she knows it). Instead, Trini writes and rewrites a letter of a text, which she almost doesn’t send
Almost a day later, after she spent the whole day and night distracted and anxious about it, Trini got a call from her sister. School had finished and she was a few blocks from home, but she stopped and sat on a park bench before, hesitantly, answering
For a moment it was silent, untill a voice whispered “...Trini?”. She didn’t even realise she was holding her breath until she released it all at that moment. “Mags?” Her voice was soft abd strained with emotion.
They talked for so long; at first it was emotional, filled with ‘I miss you’ and ‘you seem so different’ and ‘I’m sorry’, but eventually it turned into talks about what the hell has been happening to them.
Maggie was 21 and had just finished her bachelor in criminology at Gotham University and is currently in the academy. “I want to help people” is all she says about it, and it’s all that’s needed for Trini to understand
Trini’s late coming home that day and her mother won’t stop ranting about how she needs to tell her where she is and how she was worried, but all Trini can think to care about at that moment is how she’s fetting her sister back; she says sorry before brushing oast ger to go play with her brothers
The next few years Trini and Maggie keep talking at least once a week. Trini hears about Maggie’s adventures in the GCPD, her promotion to detective, her interaction with Batman, her love with Kate Kane and, eventually her heartbreak. Trini, in turn, tells Maggie about the twins, about school, how frustrated she is with the constant moving, how she might have a thing for the popular girl Veronica. The talk and listen and are always there, abd it’s exactly what eachother need.
When Trini is 15 the Joker has gone on a spree throughout Gotham. She sits there watching the news and calling her sister, on the verge of tears because ‘why won’t she pick up?’ It isn’t until 3pm the next day that she gets a call and Maggie says that she’s fine and was just on duty and that she just got her heartbroken because she was more focused on getting civilians safe than going after the Joker herself. 2 months later Maggie arrives in National City, because everywhere in Gotham reminds her if Kate
Trini moves to Angel Grove, California for her junior year..
When Trini hears thd news, she skips school and takes a train into the city. She knows Maggie has the day off before starting at the previnct the next day, and she knows here address, so she just appears and hugs her sister for the first time in over 10 years and their laughing and crying and crying and it’s so good.
When Trini gets home, her mother yells. Trini stays silent, takes the pee test when asked, and continues to the boys room to tell then all about her day
It continues like it had before; Trini and Maggie talk, rhough now without worrying about time zones. They still don’t see eachother much, but Trini still hears about Agent Alex Danvers, and Maggie can try to act pitraged by this ‘egotistical government monkey’ but Trini knows her sister is smitten, and she’s nit even surprised when Maggie tells her quitley that they finally got together. Trini listens to her fears and their struggled, but by the start of her senior year both Maggie and Alex are happy.
A few months into her last year of hell Trini and 4 othere crazy kids fron her school find alien coins, die, gain superpowers, find a space ship and a really weird cave, and almost die (again) saving the world. Of course, she can’t tell Maggie any of this, just like how Maggie can’t tell Trini everything she did with Batman and what Alex’s job actually is. They know somethings missing, and Maggie finds it strange how suddenly Trini gained four extremely close friends in a matter of days, but at the same time Maggie knows exactly what happened
After a few months everything relatively settled down in Angle Grove, but apparently Maggie just survived an alien invasion and is engaged
Trini gets a call not long after from a miss Kara Danvers, who really wanted to talk to Trini because Maggie apparently talks about her a lot, inviting her and the fellow rangers to a bridal party for her sister because she’s heard Maggie talk about her and her friends and how she hasn’t met them yet so why not kill two birds with one stone
( she was also instructed to bring 20 boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts and, if she wanted, to buy some for herself because Kara apparently eats that much and she was paying for it so hey )
They all go to the party
It’s a surprise party, so they wait a half hour while Kimberly and Jason charming their way into the friend’s and family of Alex while Trini makes sure Zack doesn’t ruin anything and that Billy is comfortable surrounded by new people
Trini does get to talk to a few people though, mainly Kara Danvers who’ really excited to eat Krispy Kreme but also really excited to meet Maggie’s family because she knows Maggie had it rough and is glad to meet the other people who care about her.
She also talks with Lucy Lane, who was getting along rather well with Kimberly and was interested in seeing how similar Trini and Maggie were.
She had a brief conversation with Winn to gauge his personality before leaving Billy with him for a bit; apparently they wanted to discuss blueprints for sone design but Trini and Jason had to make sure that he would be considerate of Billy
When Maggie and Alex arrive they don’t immediately see Trini and the others, understandably as they were at the side of the crowd. Trini was kind of enjoying just watching her sister be happy with her friends
When Maggie does see her she gives her a hug so tight it lifts her off the ground and kisses her forehead because she’s just si damn happy
They play silly themed games that Eliza planned and Trini got to see more of her sister just being happy
After everyone leaves it’s just Maggie, Alex, Kara, Trini and the rest of the rangers
Alex and Trini start to bond over their strange love for horror movies when one of thrm awkwardely started small talk with “so... seen any good movies lately”
Maggie gets to harrass most of them because she knows that her baby sister cares about these people a lot and needs to make sure that they care just as much (which they do)
( she has fun messing with Kim because she knows that her and Trini have a thing going on and that Kin was slightley scared of her )
The rangers end up staying in the guest room that night while Kara went home (they totally figured out she’s Supergirl. Except Jason, who remains oblivious). An elaborate set of lies were set up where some parents think that their child is staying at a friends while others are covering fir them because they know how important this is
They all pile onto the double bed, squeezing in so that Jason is in the middle with Trini and Kim on his left and Billy and Zack on his right
They all fall asleep, happy that they all had extended the family that would love them unconditionally
