Thank you for asking @persephones-valentine I'll take the opportunity to talk about a bit about Saya's band Kirye Eleison and their members.

Here they are!

So, Saya met them at uni, she was already into goth and metal music but they were the one that motivated her to make a band. They get along pretty nicely with each other, but Saya is the most distant of them, she doesn't stay to celebrate after the gigs and when they hang out she's mostly quiet letting them talk and such. The girls really care for her and they know Saya is really peculiar in the way she share her time with others, so they let her be trusting she will come with new songs.

So! The band members:

Viper: Main guitarist. She’s the most extrovert of the members, with a strong personality and a lack of patience to deal with annoying fans (she’s always ready for a fight). Her family owns a bar, and she’s the older of 5 siblings. She had to help raise her siblings, work in the bar, and keep up with her studies. She had always dreamed of becoming famous with her band, and as soon as she learned about Saya’s talent, she proposed to herself to make her famous.

Ivy: Bass. The closest to Saya. She had a band at high school until they disbanded for unknown reasons. Her pacifist behavior works as a nice contrast with Viper’s aggressive attitude, but she’s still very mischievous and likes to play pranks on Viper and Saya. She’s a bass prodigy but prefers people to ignore it.

Vultur: Drums. Viper’s best friend. Due to the lack of a manager, they work together to organize events and places for their band to play. She’s overly honest, but her tone sounds extremely sarcastic, which confuses people. She is the most experienced of the group at surviving supernatural encounters since she’s a fan of the occult, and people fear her ability to cast a curse. She lives at a Temple due to her family tradition. Some rumors say she killed someone.

And for the question about the Kaiba bros. Yes, Mokuba finds out really quickly, practically on the second week Saya started working at KC. He uncovers her like in metal since this girl loves listening to music so loudly. He doesn't show up to the gigs until Saya gives him permission, Mokuba knows she need to trust him first and Saya is alway running away from everything so it takes him some time to finally see her sing.

For Seto, that's another story. It takes him months to finally know about Saya’s band. And I don't blame him, Saya is extremely secretive around him. So when he finds out it's the most shocking experience for him.

I hope to be able to draw that moment for Seto soon, because it's one of the most important moment for both of them. It's so exciting to even think about aaaaaa.

Here is a scene I wrote for an au (that I really need a name for bc it dominates my thoughts).

Bit (a lot) of background on this AU: It's supposed to be a superhero/urban fantasy/soulmate au. Everyone has some degree of magic, they just have to learn to harness it. All soulmate pairs are the canon ones from Double Life.

Scar (Hotguy) and Gem (Fauna) are heroes. Grian (Chaos Sparrow) is a vigilante. Pearl (Scarlet) is a villain. Jimmy is just a civilian, but he's a victim of the prophecy (basically just the Canary Curse).

It was supposed to be Scarian mild annoyance to lovers and Gempearl enemies to lovers, but it has gotten more focused on the:

Scar & Gem besties relationship,

the Grian & Pearl chaos skyblings relationship,

the Grian & Pearl & Jimmy & Lizzie skybling/seabling relationship,

the Scar & Pearl depression villain arc relationship,

and Gem & Grian's sibling dynamic.

At this point in the story, our four main characters (Gem, Scar, Grian, and Pearl) have made a deal. The higher-ups at the Hero Corp want to interrogate Scarlet (Pearl) for information because she's not only the primary villain of the city, she's also the leader of the underground, who are presumably the people who want to assassinate Jimmy (if he dies, it's basically Ragnarok). Pearl does not have control over individual people or groups in the underground, she just runs the system.

The Hero Corp wants Gem and Scar to retrieve Pearl and bring her to them. So Gem and Scar set up a meeting, since there is mutual trust between the four of them.

The conclusion was that they could take Pearl, but Grian would take one of the heroes as collateral so that he could ultimately get her back. They decided to exchange Gem rather than Scar because they knew that Gem is the Hero Corp's precious baby and they'd be desperate to get her back, which ensures Pearl's release. Additionally, Scar's magic is incredibly strong since he's a fae. He has a natural advantage that bypasses some of Pearl's talent in magic.

So he places a curse on her that can only be broken if Scar chooses to break it. Basically it prevents her from flying (she's got wings, so does Grian), getting out of range of Scar, and the curse includes the ability to control whether the person the curse is placed on can talk or not, but Scar refuses to utilize it.

Also since Scar is a fae, he can't lie. But he does have a silver tongue that easily gets around the lying factor. Also he doesn't know that he and Grian are soulbound. Also Gem doesn't have a soulbound. Also I'm really insecure about posting this like I think it's cool but maybe other people won't think it's cool but an IRL friend really liked it but idk and I did write this all on discord because I needed to explain the scene to said friend and it was going to be easier to just write it and AAAAAA

Scar's usually green eyes are glowing red.

He's angry.

"It seems to me that you want a villain," Scar says, his voice echoing in the silent room. "I can give you one. Isn't that what you want?”

No one says anything.

Scar's red eyes burn into the side of [boss]'s skull. "I thought you wanted a villain.”

Some people are staring at him. Some are trying to get out of this room. Some are trying to ignore what's happening.

"Did you not want a villain?" Scar asks. "I don't appreciate lying.

"I can't lie," Scar says. "I'm not sure if you know this, but I cannot lie. I feel like maybe you'd extend the same courtesy for me.”

"Do you want a fucking villain?" Scar snaps. "Or are you just unsatisfied with me having boundaries? Not liking how you compare me to Fauna and wish I got taken instead? Realizing that Villains are people too?”

It wouldn't've been terrible to be taken by Sparrow (Grian, Scar thought with mild wonder. A beautiful name. His heart fluttered, despite the situation), but the thought still stood. [boss] didn't know that Sparrow wouldn't hurt him.

"Don't you want a villain?" Scar asks, quietest yet. "Don't you?" More silence. The clock on the wall ticks. Scar can hear his heavy breath in time with his heartbeat. "Well, I'll give you one." He rips his hero badge from around his neck and lays it on the table. "I resign.”

And he stalks away, the explosion of "no!"s and "why?"s and "HOTGUY GET BACK HERE!"s blocked out by his mind.

And he walks up to his apartment, his mild haven here, and sees Pearl and Jimmy. He snaps his fingers, lifting Pearl's curse. She looks up in alarm, and Jimmy follows suit.

"We're leaving." Scar tells them, leaving no room for argument. "And we're not coming back.”

Now that we know FOR SURE that WOTFI is coming, we're getting the little bits of clues we have put together. And the title did not lie, Mr Puzzles really did reach his lowest point. I also loved the bit of the channel acknowledging the "i want the old SMG4" fans.

- bellatrix calling rita baby!! BELLATRIX!! CALLING!! RITA!! BABY!!!! this one is actually canon to me and it’s something that can be sooo beautiful and special and AAAAAA

- in a similar vein, rita calls bella darling… this one is less near to my heart but i still think it happens in literally every fic ive ever written lol

- okay this one’s a big one: rita is worse than bella at the start!! she’s offputting and more than a little stalkerish and hurts people for basically no reason and not a single soul likes her bc she’s AWFUL! and the only person who likes her is bellatrix who thinks she’s the most perfect person to have ever walked the earth, the best thing to ever happen to her even if their relationship is actively making her worse…. like i think rita doesn’t really have many morals when they meet whereas bellatrix is like. still trying to be good. i think at the start she wants to be good… and then that turns into wanting to be good for rita which is a slightly different thing that nonetheless drives me insane… but then also there are external factors and what not and she gradually loses sight of this etc etc and it ends w rita coming face to face w a line that she wouldn’t cross, a line that bella has crossed and that’s the point of no return for them in many ways (the dark mark)

- referring back to the last one again, when i say rita hurts people for no reason, to her there is always a reason, i think she cares a lot about the justification of all her actions even if it’s petty or a little irrational and ridiculous… like i think there’s always some logic that makes sense maybe only to her behind her actions and that’s why bella getting the dark mark is so unforgivable bc there’s no world in which she’d be able to somehow justify genocide even if she doesn’t actually care about the war at all

- bella on the other hand is the loyalest dog that has ever walked the earth and that’s why rita’s articles are unforgivable to her (this is the hc that rita writes an article about bella/the black family/whatever… i always think this comes just after bella gets the dark mark so rita justifies the 'betrayal' w the fact that bella betrayed her first) bc she just can’t forgive or even really fathom how rita would betray her like that bc she never would've done the same bc she's loyal to her very marrow and would've remained so even if her and rita were sworn enemies

- interesting to me also that if rita had been the one to get the dark mark (not that i think this would ever ever happen. but hypothetically) bellatrix would absolutely have followed her into being a death eater and everything. and if bella had been the one to write the article, i reckon rita would’ve probably forgiven it, probably even respected it a little…. so like even tho the two of them are so similar in many ways there’s this fundamental irreconcilable difference between them that leads to them falling apart no matter how desperately they try to cling onto each other :(

- a lot of people are like oh, they’re so toxic! but jen @quillkiller and i were talking about this the other day (most of these are things i’ve talked about w jen lmao and it wouldn’t be a post about quillkiller without jen being involved somehow… no one understands me and them like she does) and really, i think that removes a lot of the nuance, and i HATE when nuance is removed, bc i think that sure, to anyone else their relationship would seem toxic and unhealthy or whatever but for them it’s probably the healthiest thing they could have, probably the best thing that’s ever happened to either of them, i just think there’s SO much love

- and that’s another thing!! they’re haunted by each other for the rest of their lives!! constant perpetual unending haunting, there’s no escape, there’s that fine line between love and hate and even if the feelings are all complicated now, it’s the sense that they’re SO intertwined that even though they’re apart and they don’t know what they would do if they actually saw each other face to face again, they can still see each other in everything. EVERYTHING.

- and it’s worse for rita imo (in terms of the haunting i mean) bc bella’s in azkaban, out of sight but never out of mind, and then she’s back and it’s horrible but then she’s dead and that’s even more horrible and rita carries that ghost around with her for the rest of her life, probably the only person who could still say she loved bellatrix by the time she died, even if they hadn’t spoken in decades… bellatrix is in every word she ever writes and every plan she ever makes and every single part of her life in some way. she lives in a flat that bellatrix has never been to but she’s still there in every corner of every room

cassia she's usually pretty fearless (and eager) when it comes to meeting new people! if you look interesting, or what she overhears from your conversation catches her attention, girl's gonna step right up and involve herself. a decent amount of her ''''introductions'''' start with complimenting an accessory of yours she loves or thinks is neat--maybe asking where you got it. if the vibes stay good and groovy through that initial exchange, she'll follow up by giving her name. if not, she'll dip. simple as that. nyxram pre-triceraton rebellion? she simply would not. most of the time, her presence in the room is either subtle or unnoticeable, anyway. she's only going to socialize with you if there's no other option, and she definitely won't be the one to initiate it. it will be less an 'introduction' and more 'how many ways can i signal to you i don't want to talk'. post-rebellion, she's, in some ways, forced to socialize a bit more, but remains monosyllabic and minimalist as she can get away with. you'll get her name, and the bare minimum answer for any question that follows that. she'll be as friendly as she feels she has to be. gwyn chances are, if she's the one initiating the interaction, she's talking to you because she thinks you might be 'useful' somehow. you won't know this, of course. could be as small as needing directions or getting a scope of the area, but she could also be looking into swindling you out of a meal or lifting something off of you when you let your guard down or even setting you up to take the fall for something. she will have discretely hovered nearby--listening, getting an idea of what you respond positively and negatively to--and when she actually does talk to you, she'll use whatever approach will put you at ease the fastest. could be joining the conversation enthusiastically and confidently, could be joining with the preface that she's a little lost and needs guidance as she's new in town. she's a tricky one. a social chameleon, for better or for worse, and she'll work a room when she needs to. ash will most likely NOT make herself known in a group of strangers and continue playing the role of an inanimate object (she often takes the form of a dagger on gwyn's belt). on the rare occasion she feels the need to make herself known, it's usually in a threatening manner and done to keep you away from gwyn (who's most likely unconscious) or herself. this is how they met the turtles, actually. after gwyn passed out from a burn-wound, leo reached to pick ash (currently in the form of a spear) off the ground, and she shape-shifted into a scythe-like weapon, cutting his forearm in the process.

cassia immediately tells you you're wrong, probably with a lopsided smirk and a long "uuuuuhhhhh noooooo?". depending on the energy you gave her when you corrected her will depend on the energy she gives you back. if you were rude about it, she's going to be equally rude and condescending when she corrects you--and best believe she'll have receipts and proof that she's right. if you weren't rude, she'll be more gentle and take a more 'educative' approach. you shouldn't be shamed for being wrong if you're willing to learn! and also if you weren't a jackass about it. nyxram says nothing verbally, but her eyes say it all: you're wrong. this isn't an opinion, it's a fact. but you're free to continue living in your wrongness. she makes no effort to correct you and carries on as though you said nothing at all. whether you think she's right or wrong, or whether you know yourself to be right or wrong, doesn't matter to her. the only exception i can think of to this 'rule' is traximus (and maybe grax's spouse, xi, once they become friends), but i doubt he'd correct her when it comes to an area she's obviously very knowledgeable in. the most likely situation would be when it comes to translating/communicating with other races and potentially getting words or sentence structure confused. he's often on the right track with this sort of thing, but not quite right. when this happens, she prompts him to provide reasoning for why he thinks his answer is right, then bluntly (but not unkindly) tells him why it's not. he's usually receptive to this; they trust each other. gwyn varies with who she's talking to, as well as the context of the situation. like... if she thinks it'll be beneficial to let you be right, she will. if it'd be even more beneficial to stroke your ego, she might prompt you to "tell her more" or "teach her" (this will not only give you a false sense of control, but it will also give her a better idea of YOUR understanding of the topic or lackthereof, which could be useful to exploit if necessary). if she doesn't think letting you be right matters, she might go the opposite route and respond however she thinks will most embarrass you or make you feel stupid. could be laughing at you, could be bluntly telling you you're wrong... again, depends on the person, the topic, as well as her current 'needs' out of the exchange. ash says in the most matter-of-fact tone you can imagine: "...no." and then moves on. does not elaborate--in fact, often refuses to elaborate. you'll know you're wrong, but nothing more. die mad.

oh gosh. i'm not sure, but i know it definitely WILL affect their parenting... i think at first donnie will find himself just... deferring to his partner a LOT in almost any situation because he's afraid that he'll fuck it up, because he DOESN'T feel like he understands proper boundaries or what parenting is supposed to look like, etc etc etc, and he's afraid he'll mess up. he probably reads a TON of parenting books as well because RESEARCH and will often try to pull directly from them in any situation he can, and is confused when things don't go exactly the way they were described in the text... leo i think kind of tends to flounder between being overprotective and feeling the desire to protect his son from everything and anything and wanting to overcorrect this tendency by pulling back and trying to give him as much freedom and space as possible, which sometimes leads to some... inconsistencies. there's definitely a learning curve for both of them, but they both get the hang of it eventually. they both have lovely partners and a very loving and supportive family to help them and they'll figure it out with a bit of practice.

Sensei Garm is dead by the time Jay arrives in the picture, so when SoG comes along he's pretty confused. He doesn't have a personal connection to Garmadon like the rest of the group does, so he's actually the one with his head screwed on the most about taking him out and being wary of him. Overall though it's pretty much the same as how canon Jay acts about Garmadon. Meanwhile Garmadon's just kind of baffled that Jay exists at all since he was missing for so long

2. Yes he does! They stay after the game but they're not yellow anymore they're average scar colors

3. Kai and Jay have a lot of tension throughout the whole AU! Their dynamic is so interesting to me and I like to explore it in the au. Kai is SUPER distrustful of Jay and they take a while to warm up to each other. On the flip side, something that happens that absolutely SHATTERS Jay's trust in Kai for a while. Their relationship is super important to me so I'm excited to develop it more!!

star trek update time! wednesday we watched voy's "displaced" and ds9's "children of time" AAAAAA from which i will. never recover

this one was truly so fun. i loved the mystery of what was going on, i loved how janeway was (i felt) unnecessarily hostile and then it turned out she was RIGHT, i loved when chakotay gave up on winning and decided to simply do as much sabotaging as possible before the same was up because i loved watching him cause problems on purpose

similarly the scenes in the biomes/tunnels were fun not only because janeway had a blast bargaining with that one guy but because and and tuvok were ALSO having fun creeping around causing problems on purpose

the final moment of joy was janeway willing to leave those aliens to freeze to death in their own fake biome if they didn't let everybody go. prime directive? we don't know her. sometimes it's annoying how trek only remembers the prime directive when it's convenient, but this was so much fun that i don't really care

shoutout also to tuvok for vulcan nerve pinching that one guy. not nearly enough vulcan nerve pinches lately

there's really not a clear right and wrong answer and it kind of sucks that the episode painted staying behind as like "the right thing to do even though it's very difficult to make such a sacrifice." like maybe the colony is miserable. struggling to survive. and that thickens things up a little

i read that dax was originally supposed to be the one to redo the autopilot because of his guilt over the accident which would have made lots of sense - i think we could have swung it to dax getting helped by odo, because dax's dedication to keeping the colony alive makes less sense the more you think about it, and then kira's slightly less horrified? maybe that removes some of the teeth, idk

also the most confusing thing by far for me is in the dream sequence we have the gulit hunts you and the radio messages but what do you think "happy and fun why was it done" it's so out of place compared to the others

So like, I don't think we have enough information yet to fully discern who the protagonist is, but based purely on the details we do have so far, I'm tentatively inclined to side with MatPat on this one: I think the most likely candidate at this point is the unnamed Head of Security, owner of the executive slide with the missing name in Chapter 2.

We know that Playtime did take steps to conceal what they were doing from their Average Joe workforce. The instructional posters directly order employees to stay out of the Innovation Wing unless they have authorization. Marcas Brickley's tape indicates that he witnessed PJ Pug-A-Pillar moving around through the gap in the Innovation Wing gate, but he has no idea what the "monster" was, and he's disturbed and distressed by having seen it. The workers in the lobby in the Hour of Joy tape don't seem to have realised that Huggy Wuggy was not a statue. Poppy recalls workers panicking and asking, "What are those things?"

The correspondence between Playtime and the contracted construction company directly states that the secret labs they're building are strictly need-to-know, only to be discussed with those with authorization at Playtime and the building company.

Mommy Long Legs recognises us. Given that the average production-line worker was not aware of her existence, that means we are someone who was high-ranking enough to know about and be directly involved with the Bigger Bodies Initiative.

The Head of Security would absolutely have a good reason to be wracked with guilt. If that's us, keeping the Prototype contained, and the Bigger Bodies creatures compliant and harmless, was our responsibility, and we failed. We knew how dangerous the experiments could be - Huggy Wuggy killed several security staff during his escape attempt, after all, people whose lives were ours to safeguard, people whose families we would have had to break the news to - but we still failed to put sufficient measures in place to prevent a mass uprising (it's implied we as the player character are not fully aware of what happened at the factory, but we know that something went horribly wrong enough for all our coworkers to vanish from the face of the earth). It's entirely fair for us to feel like every single human life lost in the Hour of Joy is on our head.

Rich is an interesting possibility, but while he clearly doesn't like working for Playtime and suspects something is Off about the place - he brings up that the workers aren't allowed to talk to the orphans, and that the orphans are deprived of sunlight in the underground Playcare - he doesn't seem to be actively complicit in Playtime's atrocities. He's a regular day-job worker, not a high-ranking exec, and I don't think he has any clue just how evil his workplace really is. My suspicion is that Rich's audios exist to make a point to the player that good people also worked at Playtime, who didn't know about the Bigger Bodies initiative, and who were slaughtered regardless during the Hour of Joy. Rich exists to provide a face (or, at least, a voice) to the people who were killed who didn't deserve it.

So personally, I'm inclined to think that this is possibly CatNap, now a young adult, trying to rationalise what the Hour of Joy was meant to achieve versus what it did achieve. Because in the end, it didn't actually do shit. The experiments are still trapped in the factory. Cruelty is still ongoing, only now it's toys hunting toys rather than humans experimenting on children. CatNap is old enough to remember the glee and relief and catharsis brought on by the Hour of Joy, by being free, by being safe, by being reassured by the Prototype that it was all over. And then the gradual, sinking realisation that they're all trapped, every one of them, with a dwindling food supply and no hope of ever going back to their former lives. I think he's asking himself what the point was, when it didn't actually achieve anything long-term.

Also the "get up " radio do you think it's the same as the death messages?

Short answer: Possibly.

That's not Prototype's voice. We've heard him talk in his tape and in Project Playtime - he has a very deep, almost demonic growly voice. Honestly, the get up almost sounds more like Harley Sawyer, the doctor. But we also know Prototype is a vocal mimic, so that very well could be him talking to us, using one of his many imitable voices.

Since the hallucination is guided by CatNap, and CatNap has had a telepathic connection with Prototype, I actually have a few theories on what this could be.

It is Harley Sawyer. We know he essentially tortured the experiments post-transformation, Prototype in particular. This could be a memory CatNap has seen in Prototype's mind of one of those sessions - making a point to the player that the experiments were subjected to horrific abuse and an uprising was their only option.

It's us. Again, if we're the Head of Security, that could be us snapping at an experiment, suggesting we were somewhat callous and not particularly invested in their welfare. Which would make Prototype's Get Up death screens a deliberate mockery - turning our own words back on us.

It's Prototype, same as the death screens, and he's just using someone else's voice. You may have read my theory that Prototype was military, and if this is him, that comes through here; he's a stubborn, hard-headed determinator who has very little patience for us failing to make ourselves useful. He needs us. Get up. We can die later.

As a side note on this section, the "DON'T MOVE. DON'T MOVE AN INCH." voice? I have a fond headcanon that that's us. That's our voice. That's CatNap's - Theo's - final memory before he completely lost consciousness when he was electrocuted: it's us and our security staff cornering Prototype at gunpoint when he brought Theo back for medical attention. That's the moment he was recaptured - Theo's last memory of being human.

Because it's a hallucination. We're not seeing what actually happened. We're seeing a representation of the protagonist's mind making sense of everything they've learned.

If we are the Head of Security, we know about the Prototype. Keeping his ass contained and making sure he couldn't hurt anyone would've been our primary job. Because we're a human and part of Playtime's executive board, we would have seen him as an evil monster who's violent for no reason, and we would have been given access to the shrink's reports on him - we'd know he's fiercely intelligent, we'd know he's stealthy, we'd know anything that would be relevant to us keeping the facility workers safe. But I think the protagonist underestimated him - a wholesale rebellion prompted by his mind control ability never crossed our mind. And here, I think the protagonist is realising for the very first time just how intelligent he is, just how much influence he has, and that he masterminded the toys' rebellion. We're realising it all comes back to the Prototype. And we're setting that knowledge in the wider context we now have of just how torturous the experiments' treatment and situations were while Playtime was functional.

However, it could also be to do with CatNap, since he's the one guiding the hallucination - Prototype's hand reaches down from on high to smite us, in line with CatNap's religious zeal. It could be CatNap trying to scare us off by showing us the Hour of Joy in a glorious light; his hero saving all the experiments. Fear him, lest ye be smoten, and all that.

There is definitely a Vibe about that interaction, a distinct tone that he doesn't have the rest of the time. I'm undecided how I'd read that tone - on one hand, it sounds almost resigned, as though we've made our choice as to whose side we're on and the Prototype considers this us deciding we're his enemy, but on the other...that doesn't match up with my suspicions about his ultimate goal.

It could, of course, also be resigned as in grief. One tired old soldier to another tired old soldier: he knows we didn't really have any other choice than to try to kill CatNap, since CatNap was determined to kill us, and he had no choice but to follow through because all the doctors who could have tended to CatNap are dead, but he's hurting and angry and bitter about it all the same.

I haven't talk about shinjiham enough in this au lol so anyway I was thinking about how Shinji kinda use Minako's house as a place for him to basically get away from his foster home and also practice his cooking. The kitchen back at the foster home is off limit to him and the rest of the foster kids so he couldn't really cook there. Minako didn't know he likes to cook until one day she brought him home to hang out and watch TV and while they were watching some silly cartoons on MTV suddenly she gets hungry and was moaning about how she has to eat instant ramen since Liz isn't home so she couldn't order takeouts. Shinji asked what's in their kitchen and said he can probably cook something for her if she lets him snoop around the kitchen. She was surprised that a guy like him wants to cook and he smiled and reveals that he cooks a lot when he was in the orphanage and one of his current part time job is a cook and he enjoys it a lot despite the stressful chaotic enviroment of the kitchen.

When Minako showed him their kitchen, he grimaced at the stacks of instant ramen filling up their cabinet and even more so when he realize that almost all of the food in the kitchen is basically instant food. Yet, food is food and whatever they have in that home is the most food he'd ever seen in a kitchen since he moved into his foster home so after going through every cabinets and drawers and scanning the fridge, he managed to whip out a mean fried rice out of minute rice, soy sauce packs from sushi take outs and veges from salad bowl. She was genuinely impressed that he managed to throw some random shit together in a pan and create an actual food and even more so when the food is really good. Shinji, as usual would undermine his skill and when Minako insist that he's really good at it, he would quickly change topic by scolding at how shit their diet is and Liz should learn how to cook lol

Ever since then, any time they hang out at Minako's home, she always expects him to cook something for her and while Shinji complains about how even after every visit the amount of instant and junk food never changed and also joked that Minako brought him back home just to be her private cook, they did actually bought some fresh food (mostly because Minako told Liz that she should buy something fresh just so Shinji can cook something with it when he's visiting lol) and he also really don't mind cooking for Minako at all. At one point when Liz's at home, she actually did bring both of them out together for grocery so they can cook something special for dinner all of them actually did have a good time just being able to spend time together and Shinji, despite being awful at expressing his emotion and doesn't show his emotion, is enjoying the brief domesticity he has before having to return to his home.

Also I find it so cute that Shinji's love language is basically act of service. Shinji is blunt and has no problem telling people straight up that he didn't like them and basically do whatever he wants and basically scaring people away but he's also extremely bad at telling people he loved that he cherished them and enjoyed their company so he definitely showed them through doing things such as cooking for Minako. And skdjsksosks love that in his SL when you didn't romance him, he's like "You're hungry? I'll make you something. Might as well talk and eat at the same time, right?" Like AAAAAA idk him just cooking for her is basically him letti g himself be open yet vulnerable to Minako and oh god can someone just like put me to sleep its 2 AM here-

I have a Luke headcanon I want to share with you >:) (This is so much longer than I meant it to be. I'm so sorry).

So, he's great at fixing antiques, right? He can get just about any part, and if he can't, he always knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. Now, someone in the NSB would NOT have enough spare time to learn all that and make all these connections. I don't know if it was ever explained how he got into antiques or met so many people, but I have an idea.

Rosa is crazy important to him, yeah? Even when he was away for 8 years, he always kept the camera filled with photos of her. Given that Stellis is some place in the future and Luke's camera already looks old to me by today's standards (though I have very little camera knowledge), it's basically an antique in and of itself.

So here's my theory: One day, while Luke is away from Stellis, the camera breaks.

Luke would probably be super stressed about this, running around trying to find the parts to fix it (and trying to learn HOW to fix it, too). I think that's how he got into antiques and met so many people willing to sell extra old/rare parts for repairs.

im so in love with luke learning how to repair antiques in a frenzied panic of networking and "aaAAAA HOW DO I GETIT BACK" HJDFKHDF. it would also be super sweet if that camera was somehow also from mc somehow, like it was one of her bday gifts to him when they were teens. maybe luke had had an interest in antiques before she gifted him the camera, which made the camera more special because his first ever antique came from her ;w;

im also endlessly endeared by luke learning his contacts like this cuz im imagining a bunch of more elderly antique enthusiasts wondering why this puppy looking teenager is so frantic about his camera, then he fesses that there are Very Precious Photos in it and theyre all like AAAWWWWW and they teach him the tricks of the trade and eventually learn about mc along the way because luke? not talk about her? impossible. Screw it, lemme post about my transfem!Genie headcanon. I have an entire multi-chapter fanfic planned for her that I one day hope to write, but for now, I'll just ramble.

This headcanon started because I was coming up with an alternate timeline where the Professor befriends the Genie, and as part of them getting closer, the Professor decides to disclose his actual name (which some people don't know... it's Concupiscence McNasty btw, Connie for short). Then, when Connie asks for the Genie's name, the Genie realizes that he, well, doesn't really have one!

Because he's a little devious, he forces Connie to guess his name, planning to use one of his guesses as his new name. At one point, Connie joked that the Genie's name is Sara (which would be a nightmare (/lh) for him if true because imagine if the person you're flirting with has the same name as your nemesis-slowly-turning-bestie 😔), but then something happens inside the Genie... a new feeling he isn't very familiar with before. He... likes being called a feminine name?

(Okay I'm gonna be so honest while I'm typing this, a lightbulb clicked in me and I'm aAAAAA-) So yeah he decides to steal Sara's name lmao much to Connie's horror, and that moment starts an entire character arc where Sara realizes that he - or rather she - is a trans woman!

About that lightbulb moment: I was gonna have her named as Yazrin immediately after the Sara joke via the Professor helping the Genie find the name through a bunch of googling, but I'm now thinking that Yazrin can get her actual name later in the fanfic 'cause some trans people, like me, go through a period of choosing different names before they settle on one that really speaks to them.

Part of her character arc is not just becoming a woman but also transforming (hah) from an edgy little misanthrope who uses sarcasm and distance as a deflection tactic to one of the most genuine, optimistic beings who loves the world and everyone in it, and maybe she can get her name from talking with someone she meets on the street after helping them?

Maybe that person has a friend or a daughter named Yazrin who passed away, and as a sort of tribute to them, that person suggests Yazrin to name herself that, and Yazrin is very honored to do that in a way. Also, Yazrin is just a really good name, y'know? :>
