So recently I played an "old" game named "Penumbra" and oh man it was fun. I loved the atmosphere of being lost alone in some cave systems and attacked by mutated dogs,spiders,Alien looking humans and some weird other creatures. All characters were very memorable and the pot itself was so cool. Man just ran off by a death letter to Greenland,to find the place of excavations that his father worked as a translator and managed to get lost from his group and survive hell. And the music and sound design oh BOI.

It felt like really passion driven game and I had a lot of fun playing it , sadly now we see not so many games like this because of a greedy game companies that care about the money and not the passion and ideas behind it.

Writing more chapters for the Penumbra crossover fic as a warm up. Thinking I may split this into two parts, with SOMA being in the second half.

I like developing the dynamic these two have. In some moments, they got along well while in others they don't. Jocelyn is an OC I made a few years ago, but was repurposed for this story. Clarence acts as her ally in it.

It’s not just because the song has the word “moon” in the title. It’s also kind of a metaphor for Lunaris being basically a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and for the invasion that he enacted that led to the final battle of Season 2.

Violet is an absolute enigma of a character. She’s smart, serious, intense, has a couple major hyperfixations, and is super blunt; she can be hard to read, but whoever she lets into her inner circle, she is steadfast loyal and supportive of them, as we’ve seen in episodes like Friendship Hates Magic! or Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks! (even though we totally should’ve gotten more elaboration from the latter episode on her relationship with Huey). Okay, getting off track. The point is, this song kind of explains how with Violet, there is more than meets the eye. There’s more complexity to her than the casual fan might think.

We don’t know a whole lot about Rockerduck in the show, other than that he’s a super rich capitalist. So…money.

I think the tone and lyrics of the song really fit Gandra’s rebellious nature. Gandra doesn’t like being tied down to one place. She’s mysterious, with a complicated past. And I think this song sums that up well.

What's the song Gorecki refers to in your Sinking Bell fic? The Lamb one.

Oh, that? Leah was referring to Gorecki, by Lamb. It's what she names herself after. In Penumbra: Black Plague, the Tuurngait is a hive mind that counts as one being, so when its ranks "break off" from it and gain individuality, they choose a name for themselves. Gender, personality, voice, etc. Clarence seems to have based his entire male persona off Clarence Odbody, the guardian angel from It's a Wonderful Life.

Jocelyn likes new age music, plus artists similar to Enya and Celine Dion, so Lamb would be the kind of band she listens to around 2000. Leah Gorecki is meant to be more "optimistic" than Clarence- sort of a foil to him. She has more romantic ideals and doesn't hate humans, though people that commit crimes get on her nerves, talking more formally. And conversely, she takes inspiration from music that has positive lyrics about love as opposed to a movie with existential, dark scenes.

Still hates Jimmy, though. Since Gorecki identifies as female, she sympathizes with Anya's plight, taking a liking to her. Gorecki might get over that grudge as the story progresses.

omg I love CIS enthusiasts in Frictional Games fandom. like… back in 2010 they made a russian voice lines for all Penumbra series (Clarence’s was hot af…), made a Necrologue DLC for it (and devs liked it!!!), after that they voiced the first Amnesia on russian, recently someone ported it on mobiles as Sclerosis… and now the other studio did a russian voicing for the Bunker. like OH MY GOD GUYS YOU LOVE FGs SO MUCH…….

unfortunately I didn’t see anything for Justine/AMFP/Rebirth except the basic translation, but taking into consideration that was a LOT of work to do (especially in Rebirth) I respect that the game has russian subtitles on Steam. also, I know there was a mod with ukrainian subs for Rebirth!!!
