My apologies for adding on to the MFK but there's one I have not seen and I'm curious about your take on:

Penny MFK: Robot, Cyborg and Android

Penny: MFK II

Penny: I am confused, Friend Nora. You wish for me to play this game, MFK, with an robot, cyborg, or an android?

Nora: Yeah!

Penny: But, I do not know any robots with similar intelligent levels as humanoids. I know many individuals that can be classified as, Cyborgs. But, I am the only android in existence. Should I count myself in the as the android?

Nora: Nonono! You can just pick someone to be one of those characters.

Penny: I can choose someone to be anyone? Even you, Friend Nora?

Nora: Yes. But, no.

Penny: Okay! In that case I will kill the robot!

Nora: You're just killing a robot, and not a robot of... someone you know?

Penny: No.

Nora: Fair enough. Who's next?

Penny: I shall fuck Cyborg Friend Ceil!

Ciel: PFFFT?! W-W-What?!

Penny: Hello, Friend Ciel!

Ciel: P-Penny? D-Did you just say you'd fuck me!

Nora: Since when were the two of you married?

Ruby: Wait...? Were married?!

Nora: ...

Nuts and Dolts Week: Day 7

Ruby clutched the piece of Floating Array she had kept from the fall of Beacon, the sword still felt foreign in her hands. She had spent weeks practicing with it as another option for close combat since she still wasnt all that great unarmed. But at least using the sword was going to be another option. 

“Are you ready?” Jaune asked as he held his sword and shield up. “You know I’m not going to go easy on you.” 

“I am,” Ruby said as her fingers trembled. “I have to be.” 

“Then your training starts now!” 

Ruby stepped back as she blocked Jaune’s strike, not expecting the power that came from it. Her arms trembled as she made her own strike against him, hitting his shield as he blocked. The sword vibrated in her grip as she took a few more steps back. It was still different from fighting with her scythe, Floating Array vibrated differently, built to be used remotely and not by hand. Still, she looked over Jaune and rushed behind him with her semblance to strike his back. 

Her blade was once again met with Jaune’s shield, and then a strike from his blade against her. She struck back over and over only to feel Jaune’s shield against her blade and then a strike of his own hitting her over and over again until her aura broke. Her legs finally gave out as she dropped to the ground panting. She looked up at him as he held a hand out to her. 

“Are you sure you’re still okay?” Jaune asked. “You still seemed distracted.” 

“I’m fine,” Ruby said as she took his hand. “I just need to practice.” 

Jaune shook his head. “I’ve seen when you’re fine. This… this isnt fine.” 

Ruby sighed and looked at the blade of Floating Array, swearing she saw Penny’s face in her reflection. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she gripped the hilt again, voice cracking as she spoke. “I… I have… I have to be ready to get my answers. I need to know why our friends had to die, why Penny had to be killed like that.” 

“And you’ll get those answers when we head off. You’re still recovering, Yang still needs you-” 

“What about what I need?” Ruby half yelled at him. She took a breath and wiped away her tears as she held Floating Array up. “I’m ready again.” 

“Your aura-” 

“I’ll be fine. Please, I need to be ready. This is all I have left of Penny and I need to make sure I can use it when I can’t use my scythe.” 

Jaune sighed and raised his own sword and shield. “Alright, but if I draw blood, we’re done.”

Ruby stared at the melted blade in her hands, her breathing starting to feel panicked. Everything on the bridge had gone wrong, Cinder had melted the only piece of Floating Array she had been allowed to keep as a wish from Penny, as an offering of her love. And now, it was damaged beyond repair and she still wasnt sure if Penny had survived.

“Ruby!” Weiss called out. “There you are!” 

Ruby quickly sheathed her melted blade and looked over at Weiss, surprised to see her. “Weiss. What are you doing here?” 

“I fell too. Just like you did.” 

“And… and Penny?” 

Weiss looked away. “Let's find Yang and Blake first.” 

Ruby felt her heart stop when she saw the look Weiss tried to hide, the sorrow in her eyes and the crack in her voice as she spoke. It was the silent answer that gave her enough of an answer about Penny’s fate, once again losing the woman she tried to save, the woman that she vowed to keep alive no matter what. Her fingers trembled as she reached for the last reminder she had, wrapping them around the hilt. “She… she died, didnt she?” 

Weiss stopped in her tracks, pausing before she spoke. “I-I’m sorry Ruby. Jaune tried to save her, but Cinder… we really should find Yang and Blake first. I dont want to explain this more than once.” 

“We did everything right,” Ruby said through a few tears. “We used the scepter to save her, gave her soul a new body, made sure she would live… and I still couldnt save her!” 

“And it wasnt enough this time-” 

“She has to be alive! She has to be here!” 

“Wait Ruby-” Ruby rushed off deeper into the forest of the Ever After, her semblance carrying her as far as she could go. The scars on her arms burned as she pushed herself to use every last drop of aura she had, finally dropping out of her semblance and crashing on the ground. Her eyes widened as she watched what remained of Floating Array drop into the water in front of her, sinking until it was out of sight. Her body went limp as she lost the strength to keep going. Beyond her memory, Penny was gone. Forever.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love White Rose. Their dynamic of rivals to partners is just so cute and all.

But I really love the chemistry between Ruby and Penny! They are just always so comfortable with each other and just plain old adorable! I first started out with it being a minor ship in my brain, but when Volume 9 showed Ruby’s reaction to Penny’s I couldn’t help it; they just took over my heart. I’m so sad that we won’t be able to see any more of their dynamic, but at the same time it was so refreshing to watch Ruby morn Penny. It just shows us how much Penny really means to Ruby, and it made me cry when I realized that Ruby never got to say goodbye. She went through so much just to have Penny stay by her side, only for all that effort gone when Penny died not much later.

I can’t imagine the pain that Ruby had when she heard the news. Imagine being able to save your friend that you lost once, hoping not to lose them again, only for you to lose them immediately. Permanently. And right after the news, everyone around her acts like nothing has happened. They just started to make jokes and act all happy, ignoring how the news affected Ruby. I mean she literally passed out when she got the news, and team RWBY didn’t think that it was a clear sign of emotional distress!

I don’t blame Ruby one bit for going off on everyone when she did, in fact I’m surprised that she didn’t say anything earlier with all the crap that she was going through!

Now I absolutely love team RWBY with all my heart, they are all dorks and deserve all the happiness in the world. But I just can’t help but feel bitter about how they went about Ruby’s mental health.

Anywho somehow my rant about how much I love Ruby and Penny turned into a bitter rant about team RWBY….

Just wanted to say that I love those two!!!

They are just so cute!!!

Penny gets a concussion and wakes up speaking Wingdings

(Wingdings isnt spoke, so... take this as you will. Personally, I think its more gibberish than anything.)

“Penny!” Ruby called out. “Are you okay?” 

Penny paused for a moment as she stared at the sky above her, still not sure when she ended up on her back or where she was for the moment as a headache ran through her head. She sat up with Ruby’s help, rubbing the back of her head and feeling a bruise. “🕈︎♒︎♏︎❒︎♏︎ ♋︎❍︎ ✋︎?” 

Ruby hesitated. “C-come again?” 

“🕈︎♒︎♏︎❒︎♏︎ ♋︎❍︎ ✋︎?” Penny froze as she listened to what came out of her mouth, not entirely sure how she said what came out of her mouth. She tried to speak again, everything that came out of her felt familiar, but sounded… distant. “✋︎ ♎︎□︎ ■︎□︎⧫︎ ⧫︎♒︎♓︎■︎🙵 ✋︎ ⬧︎□︎◆︎■︎♎︎📬︎📬︎📬︎ ❒︎♓︎♑︎♒︎⧫︎📬︎ 🕈︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎ ♒︎♋︎◻︎◻︎♏︎■︎♏︎♎︎ ⧫︎□︎ ❍︎♏︎?” 

“We should get you looked at.” 

Penny nodded as she stood up, leaning against Ruby as she made her way back to Vacuo city limits. Everything had started to come back to her as she felt the warm air run against her face, remembering the grimm that fought them and the rock that hit the back of her head as the grimm ran off. “🕈︎♒︎♏︎❒︎♏︎ ♎︎♓︎♎︎ ⧫︎♒︎♏︎ ♎︎♏︎♋︎⧫︎♒︎⬧︎⧫︎♋︎●︎🙵♏︎❒︎ ♑︎□︎?” 

Ruby sighed as she held Penny. “I-I dont know what you’re asking, Penny.” 

Penny nodded and pulled out her scroll to type, pausing for a moment when she didnt recognize the keyboard that pulled up. It was still the same keyboard, the same letters that were standard among the common language that all the kingdoms spoke and wrote, but as she looked over each letter, she couldnt seem to bring herself to read or write with them. Her fingers trembled as she tried to tap on the letters that were familiar to her, eventually making her way through the keyboards until she found one that looked more familiar to her. She tapped away on the keyboard until she finished what she wanted to say, holding her scroll to Ruby. 

“I’ll have to translate that.” Ruby copied over the message to a translator on her own scroll, pausing for a moment. “I dont know how to read Atlesian, but if this will let me know what’s going on, then it’ll be something.” 

Penny relaxed a bit as she pulled her scroll away, clearing away the message she typed only to type in a new one. “I’m sorry this is difficult for you.” 

“I’m glad you’re okay,” Ruby said as she finished translating over the first message and started to read the second. “We still need to get you checked out for right now, and maybe see if we can figure out what exactly you’re speaking. It doesnt sound anything like how Weiss talks when she slips.” 

Penny looked at Ruby a bit curiously, but nodded and put her scroll away, headache still pounding away at her head. Being human had a lot to get used to, and how much everything hurt was still something she couldnt get used to. Burns, getting hit with rocks and claws, getting cuts and scrapes, landing on her back… sure those all hurt when she was a machine, but now, it was almost like her senses were on overdrive. Every little feeling more intense than the last no matter how careful she tried to be. And the way her head pounded almost felt overwhelming to her, unable to focus on anything else beyond the throbbing at the back of her head. 

She felt her foot slip on a rock, losing her balance as she leaned hard into Ruby. Even when she wasnt in danger, she could still feel her body shake from the slip, hands reaching out to the ground to catch herself before she fell. Her breath hitched as she felt Ruby hold her close, warm breath running across her neck. “❄︎♒︎♋︎■︎🙵 ⍓︎□︎◆︎.” 

“I… I still dont understand, but… I’m always going to be here for you,” Ruby said with a smile. 

Penny felt her cheeks start to heat up as they reddened, her heart nearly pounding in her chest as she looked up at Ruby. “✋︎📫︎✋︎ ⧫︎♒︎♓︎■︎🙵 ⧫︎♒︎♏︎❒︎♏︎ॐ︎⬧︎ ⬧︎□︎❍︎♏︎thing wrong with me.” 

Ruby helped get Penny steady on her feet. “I wouldnt say there’s something wrong, but you did get hit pretty hard.” 

“That is not-” Penny lost the words she wanted to say as she caught Ruby’s silver eyes glinting in the sun, her cheeks becoming a deeper red as she felt them heat up again. “I-I feel… hot.” 

“Just a little further and then we’ll be somewhere someone can look at you and make sure that you’re fine.” 

Penny nodded and looked away from Ruby, focusing on the way her touch felt. She smiled a bit as she spoke again, familiar words leaving her lips as she spoke her native tongue. “I do not want this to stop.”
