Clint: Tony! We can’t possibly know a vigilante is literally a thirteen year old and not do anything!
Tony: I mean, I’ve looked into her file, she’s almost as advanced as I was at her age. Hell, given the proper resources, she could be just as ahead as seventh-grade me. I think she has a good head on her shoulders.
Rhodes: Tony, don’t be a dumbass. That kid may be smart, but she is thirteen. When we watched her on the cams, she had a Hello Kitty backpack on. Not to mention the fact that she lives in a foster home-
Clint: and “nice” foster homes are rare-
Rhodes: yes, anyway, the point is-we have to keep an eye on her.
Tony: fine. But I’m not a babysitter.

Penny Robinson: I’m backup.
Don West: No. You’re a stowaway. The adults are talking.
Ava: I’m sorry, I’m confused as to the relationship here. What is she? Your ward?
Penny Robinson: No. I’m Penny by the way.

Tony always makes Penny a special extra "plus one" when going to important functions. And it hurts Penny, being in this weird in-between area, not treated as a prospective date but not being left to her own devices either. Tony never gives her her own ticket or invitation, just makes concessions to add her as an "extra." It makes her feel unwanted. She's just always tagging along, an extra space, never Tony's date. She's not a kid anymore and she really wishes Tony would see how grown up she is and how much she'd love to be with him. But he just keeps treating her like a tag-along kid (affectionately, but still.)
And Penny's so tired of it. Can't completely hide it. Starts letting some of her thoughts slip out to certain coworkers as yet another function approaches.
And Tony's fashionably late, only telling FRIDAY to register the usual ticket as he's getting ready for the party, date all set up. And FRIDAY tells him the extra slot is unneeded.
Penny's already been registered as checking into the event as Quentin Beck's "plus one."
-
Tony has a bad time at the party. His date gives up on him after he keeps ignoring her, he's always searching the crowd for Penny and Quentin. The little voice in his head that sounds like Pepper tells him it's a bad PR move to even try to approach or talk to them but he can't just... not be aware of them.
And oh is he aware. Penny's smiling and laughing and chatting happily, rarely away from Quentin's side. And Quentin... he seems to always have a hand too low on Penny's back, too high on her thigh (when did she even get a dress with a slit like that?), and she's just letting him, and still smiling, and Tony's blood boils hotter and hotter as the night goes on.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Dust filled her lungs, and Penny desperately fought the urge to put her hands over her ears to block out the noise that surrounded her. 5 years. That's what Doctor Strange had said as he guided her through a portal and towards the compound - well, what used to be the compound.
Penny couldn't really comprehend what was happening around her. There was fire, fighting, screaming, and it was so loud. She didn't know what to do with herself, so she did the only thing she knew how to do - swing in to battle. There were aliens, just like last time, on Titan. This time, it seems as though they were multiplied by a thousand. It seemed never-ending. No matter how scrambled her brain was by her surroundings, there was one thought screaming at her in the front of her mind.
FIND MR. STARK!
She whipped her head around, searching frantically for the red and gold armour. Her heart pounded in her chest and she could feel her blood rushing in her ears. What if he's hurt? What if he never made it? What if something had happened to him? Penny tried to stop that train of thought before she sent herself into a spiral. That's the last thing she needed right now. He had to be alive, surely the wizard would've told her if anything had happened to him.
She fired web after web at the aliens, almost as an afterthought. She continued her search until she heard the familiar whirring of repulsors. She could've cried at the relief that filled her. She felt safer in an instant, knowing that Mr. Stark was close by. Penny scaled a pile of rubble, hoping to get a glance of the man. Her face fell and she felt her blood run cold in panic as one of the aliens aimed a weapon at him from behind. He wouldn't see it in time. Penny didn't hesitate to swing down, webbing up the enemy swiftly and making sure that the threat had been neutralized.
Finally letting herself breathe, she ran down towards where Mr. Stark lay on the ground, having been knocked down by the alien. The girl grabbed him by the hand, pulling him up onto his feet. She rambled for a moment about how she ended up back here, a habit of hers when she gets excited. Penny took her first real look at the man, noticing with a pang in her chest that the man did in fact look older. It really had been 5 years. He looked the same, but with a few more lines on his face and a bit more salt than pepper in his greying hair.
Just as she took a breath to continue her tangent, Tony took a sudden step forward and pulled the young girl into his arms. Penny didn't realise just how loud everything was until the world went quiet. Safe and wrapped in her father-figure's embrace, she felt like she could finally take a breath, her first in what felt like ages. She didn't comment on his trembling hands or the teardrops she felt hit the top of her head.
Tony held the girl by her shoulders, pulling back to look at her. Penny couldn't begin to decipher the emotions running across his expression in that moment. He says nothing for a moment, an uncharacteristic silence for the man of a million words. His eyes, however, spoke volumes. She could tell there was so much he wanted to say, she wondered what words he would decide upon. She was confident that no matter what, they would be the right words. He always seemed to know the right words.
"I love you, Penny."
That wasn't quite what she was expecting, but did it ever warm her heart. She opens her mouth to reply, but Tony cuts her off, seemingly desperate to get all those words out at once. "I... I never told you that while you were here. I spent five years knowing that I held my kid in my arms while she turned to dust and I never even told her how much I love her. You didn't even know. And -"
It was Penny's turn to cut him off, not with words but with a hug. She held him tight, whispering softly. "I knew. I did." She drew away to look up at him. "I love you too, Mr. Stark."
Tony had tears in his eyes. Penny just smiled, her own tears tracing their way down her face. "God, kid. You... You have no idea how much I missed you. Every day, Penny. Every single day I thought about you. There's so much to tell you, I -"
Tony is cut off once again by a yell, and the sounds of the battle raging on around them comes back into focus. The two share a look, unspoken words between them. There will be hours and hours of conversations, there will be tears, laughter, fear, love. For now, there is a fight to win. Both of them smirking at each other and shrugging, Tony brings Penny in for one more tight hug, holding the back of her head gently, as if she might fade away. He kissed the top of her head, and lets go of her with a squeeze. "Duty calls, Mr. Stark." Penny says, a glint of excitement in her eyes. Tony breathes out a chuckle, looking at Penny like she hung the stars in the night sky. "Just like old times, hey kid?"
Preparing to dive head first back into battle, Penny pulls her mask down over her face. She shoots a little salute at Tony before swinging away to see where she could help. Tony sighs, allowing himself a moment of grace in the chaos around him. He had her back. It really worked. He had his kid back in his arms. He had so much to tell her. He was different now. He wouldn't blame the tears in his eyes on the dust in the air, he would blame them on the relief that came with seeing your child alive and well after watching them die.
He would make sure she knew how much he loved her, that she would never question her place in his life, as a part of his family. He would bring her to his lakehouse. He hoped she would like the room he had designed for her when they built the place. It may have made Pepper question his mental stability a bit at the time, but hell, she loved Penny like she was her own too. He would introduce Penny to Morgan. God, they would get on like a house on fire. He'd be grey in a couple weeks with the amount of worrying he'll do over his two daughters. He knew Morgan would grow up to be the best of all of them with Penny as her role model.
There was so much to say, so much to catch up on. For now, there was a battle to fight.
A battle he had one more reason to win.

Best Penny Parker Fics Part 1
Mr. Stark is dead.
It's her fault.
Even in heaven, there is a touch of hell. Penny experiences that in one of the worst ways and doesn't know how to live with the pain and worse-how to live with the pain alone.
Penny Parker was sure that someone would die; either she would kill her family for embarrassing her, or her family would kill Flash for bullying her.
Penny had felt something sick and afraid in her stomach at the way Sam Wilson had looked at her mentor…at the way both of them had looked at her. Or maybe she’d just been imagining it. Maybe her own memories had been coloring her thoughts. Still, the next words had come almost before she’d decided to say them.
“We’ve met, actually.” Penny had told them, holding out a hand to Sam, smirking just a little. As if on autopilot, he had taken her hand, shaking it once, but not squeezing. She made up for squeezing his hand just a little too hard. “You threw me out a window.”
Penny Parker had lost all hope of feeling warm ever again.
She had failed her favorite hero, May had died in a car crash and she had been tossed around from bad foster home to slightly less bad foster homes for the past six months.
She got through each day only to lie awake in her bunk each night and wait for the next day.
That was until she met a baby calico kitten with the whole world stacked against it.
She had been a hero for over a year, maybe she could do it one last time?
While the Avengers try and fail to hunt down Spider-Man, Penny Parker hides the fact that she's a foster kid living in a group home. When Tony Stark takes her in, what will happen?
Pepper’s shocked face finally registered to Tony and he looked at her in question. Her eyes flicked between him and Penny before he still shrugged that he didn’t understand the expression.
“Spider-Man?” She said with emphasis on the last work.
“Misnomer,” Penny answered for him as she turned.
“Tony once said that you’d kill for me.”
Natasha gave her a look she couldn’t quite interpret. Then she shrugged. “I’ve killed for far worse reasons.”
In the few months after Penny’s disastrous Homecoming night, the Stark and Parker families figure out how to find common ground.
Penny hadn't really had birthdays. And especially not parties.
But, with Pepper pregnant and every moment being dedicated to the coming baby, Penny is really looking forward to this one day.

Another great pic set drawn for me by @konako. Again these are for some of my MCU fics that feature Female Peter Parker (Penelope Parker). This pic (and fic elements) take inspiration from the 90s Spider-Man Clone Saga comic arc that lasted from 1994 to 1996. It is not a direct adaptation, it is merely inspired by it and draws some content from it.
This pic features Penelope, her clone Beth Reilly (Female Ben Reilly), and Kaine Parker, a clone who suffered from a degenerative condition.
Now I know the Clone Saga is....divisive among Spider-Man fans...and yeah, the longer it went on the plot just went off the rails and went batshit crazy. But I do love the introduction of Ben Reilly/The Scarlet Spider, and some of the Clone Saga contents, but it did really go off the rails after awhile and the writers were just cramming so much content into it without much care for how ridiculous it was getting. It was crazy even by comic book standards. As always, my version of Penelope's appearance is based on Anya Taylor-Joy, as is Beth's. However I wrote in that the degenerative affects Kaine suffered under, made her body age beyond what Penny and Beth were, so instead of being a teenager, she is in her late 20s/early30s. Kaine is based on actress Meghan Ory (who some may know as playing Ruby on "Once Upon a Time" among other roles). Who Konako has drawn such great art of Meghan before on her page, and she did again an amazing job here capturing the characters, the outfits, and even the anatomy of them. (Kaine is older, and in the comics, when Peter is older he has a larger physique than his teenage self, so Kaine here being physically older is bigger than Penny and Beth) Below is a link to two of my Female Peter Parker fics: Some Reassembly Required A New Team: (Done Right) Siberia: Take Two These fics are NOT Steve Rogers Friendly, or Wanda Maximoff Friendly.

The Avengers learn a secret Penny Parker had hoped to take to her grave.
—————
“How was school?” Tony asked with what Penny might call a casual tone — if she didn’t know better.
“Fine. Nothing new to report on.” She shrugged to emphasize the absolute boringness of her day before sinking into the couch so that her body was obscured by Clint’s.
Tony crossed his left leg over his right and leaned forward. “No?” He asked, dangerously casual.
Penny winced at the forced casualness of his tone. She had a feeling Tony already knew that she was lying — though she had no idea how.

Talking to Strangers
MULTI-CHAPTER 4/? LINK TO A03
The man on the desk look at her with a scold. Penny definitely didn’t look like she belonged there, with her hand-me-down clothes and although being fifteen, she looked thirteen, fourteen at best.
No matter what the man thought, she had a badge and when scanned, all her information appeared.
______________
Two days after one of the most successful therapy session she ever had, mostly because Tyler leave her alone, she came home from school to find two more boys than usual. Her oldest foster sister, Jolene, was the one that told her the situation, but Penny already had an idea of what was going on.
Her first thought was where they were going to sleep.
Foster parents that took more than three children that aren’t siblings are prone to take more.
That is exactly what happened in the new place she was living. Now, two weeks after her arrival, the already overpopulated house was made home to another two kids, siblings. When Penny came, the house already had 5 kids, with her they were made 6, now there were 8.
Another fun fact about the foster parents that take too many kids, is they do it for the money.
Penny admitted that saying that was unfair, not all situations were the same, but most of them had that in common. Mrs. and Mr. Miller, her actual foster parents, were one of those.
Jolene was the one to explain all of the brothers’ backstory. Tom and Robert, six and four, respectively. An abusive drug addict father that ended up killing their mother.
“Lucky that they were at school when it happened” Jolene had said, and Penny couldn’t help but to agree. The last thing those kids needed was to witness their mother’s murder.
Jolene had already given up her bed, and Penny as the second oldest, was quick to follow.
When Penny arrived, there was only one room designated for kids. It was big enough to put six beds, three on each size, and at the time, it was perfect. Now they had a 4 and a 6 year old boys, that needed a bed. Jolene was 17 while Penny was fifteen, they could live without one. The room also had one dresser chest that luckily, had eight drawers, so that was one thing they shouldn’t worry about.
The boys were scared, and Penny could understand it. She and her brother weren’t that young when they ended up on foster care, but she remember when her parents died. Even if she could live wither aunt and uncle, it was a new house and a new country.
Penny wondered what would have happened if her aunt and uncle weren’t there at the time. Aunt May was a consolation as she sometimes spoke in Italian, like her mother used to do. Uncle Ben was so much like her father and always told them stories about him when they were sad. She couldn’t imagine the grieving process without them in the picture.
It was 5 in the afternoon, and she was watching the two brothers play. Suddenly she felt as she couldn’t breathe. Although of the gender and the age difference, she couldn’t help but to compare Tom and Robert to her and her own brother. Alone except for each other.
Unable to stop picturing her twin and her and the other setoff siblings, she leave the room, ignoring Jolene’s worried look.
The other day, her journey to the cemetery was a long one, after all, her foster home was in Manhattan, while All Faiths Cemetery was at Queens. A trip there was out of the question, as she would be back after curfew and dinner.
Suddenly, she remember the conversation with the Avengers that she had yesterday. Penny searched through her backpack, hoping she hadn’t put the new badge on her drawer at the house. A really low probability, but one you couldn’t discard. Much to Penny’s relief the badge was there. With the odds of being thrown out lower, she made her way to Avengers Tower.
______________
The man on the desk look at her with a scold. Penny definitely didn’t look like she belonged there, with her hand-me-down clothes and although being fifteen, she looked thirteen, fourteen at best.
No matter what the man thought, she had a badge and when scanned, all her information appeared. He told her which elevator to take and began to type on his computer.
On the elevator, a female voice spoke.
“Hello, Miss Parker, I am FRIDAY, Tony Stark’s Artificial Intelligence, which floor would you like to go?” Penny thought about it for a while before concluding she didn’t know what the hell she was doing.
“I am looking for Mr. Stark. Or any Avenger” Before the AI could answer, she added “They told me I could come.”
“I am aware of your relationship with the Avengers, I can take you to Mr. Stark’s floor right now.
Penny let out a relief sound. After the initial rush had come down, she thought that maybe it wasn’t one of her best ideas to come here and just ask to see the Avengers, one of the most famous people in New York and people that had many enemies. She wondered how many people came asking to see an Avenger.
When the elevator stopped she come face to face with Tony Stark. He look at her, worry clear on his face. She tried to talk, but the right words just wouldn’t come out of her mouth.
“Is anyone else here?” Even if she trusted the Avengers more than she previously did, that didn’t that she wanted to parade her problems to all of them. Especially not Steve Rogers that although he had apologized, she still didn’t feel right to her. Her feelings had to do, perhaps, with the similarities that the Captain had with a man that belonged to Penny’s past.
“Everyone is on the communal floor, but I can call someone if you are more comfortable?” It was obvious that Tony felt that something was wrong, but he couldn’t tell why.
Penny shook* her head. “I was hoping I could talk to you, and you told me I could come whenever I wanted.”
“I did say that kid, don’t worry.” He gestured to the very expensive sofa and waited until she had sat down before doing it himself. “What do you need?”
“Today two more kids arrived at my foster home.” She paused a little before continuing. “Now we are eight, but that doesn’t matter.” This time when she paused she looked at him expecting an answer.
“Do these kids make you uncomfortable?” That was a good question. Was she uncomfortable? Quick answer was yes, but not in the way he was thinking. Also, was ‘uncomfortable’ the right word? She thought that it wasn’t.
“They are six and four and they scared. They had barely talk to me” She could tell he was confused.
“So, what is the problem?” He seemed kind when asking that, but so did many bad people. Tyler was seen kind by most, maybe annoying, but Penny knew. If her shitty life had taught her something was to not judge a book by its cover. It didn’t matter the cover was nice or bad.
Thinking more, she suddenly felt stupid. She probably was worrying Tony for no reason. Of course, a sibling relationship would remind Penny of hers and her brother’s relationship, they were siblings.
“You know what, it is stupid and shouldn’t have come. You are probably very busy and…” She was already standing up when Tony took her wrist.
“I can assure you that nothing you are having troubles with is stupid” At her look of disbelief he added. “I once heard that it doesn’t matter that you are drowning of a glass of water, you are still drowning. I promise that I will listen and help as much as I can. It is your decision if you want to.” With that, he let go her wrist, that wasn’t held with any force. Pre- spider bit Penny could have broken free if she wanted.
She pondered at to what to do. Looking at Tony’s eyes she saw something that she hadn’t seen in a very long time. An actual desire to help.
With that she took the decision that would most like it change her whole life.
She trusted Tony Stark.
“They remind me of me and my brother.” She finally began, after sitting on the sofa again. “So scared, yet they have each other.” Penny look down at her lap. “Everything was easier when I had my brother with me.”
Tony remains in silence, waiting for her to continue. When she made it apparent that she wasn’t going to say anything, he began talking.
“When my parents died, I didn’t cope well. I began drinking and smoking, all so I could forget the pain for a while. I was destroying myself.” Penny wondered where this was going. “A year later or so I decided I couldn’t continue that way and it work for a while, until I visited Rhodey’s mom. She is a wonderful lady that would always let me stay at her house on holidays when visiting my dad was too much.”
Tony looked at her, like he was debating on continuing.
“When I was watching both of them interact I couldn’t help but missing my mom. You see my dad could have been a bastard, but my mother, she was an angel. She loved me and I wish I could have said that I loved her more than I did.” He made a pause again. Penny could see it was difficult. “That night I drank so much that I ended up on the hospital.” He look at her directly in her eyes. “It is okay if you miss your brother, kid. It is natural that little things will remind you of him, and I will not say you will ever forget him or that you will stop hurting, but from experience.” He took her hand. “It will hurt less, and when you remember him, you will not cry, you will laugh, happy for the memories you have with him.
“I don’t feel like I will feel better.”
“This won’t happen tomorrow or in a week. It takes time. Right now, you only see dark, but I assure you there is always light.”
And for the second time in this day, Penny took a decision that will change her life.
She believe Tony Stark.
And she also hugged Tony Stark.
______________
Natasha knew something changed.
She wasn’t sure if it began the day Penny punched Tyler or later, when Tony gave her a badge. The thing was that at the moment, although she could see that Penny was grateful, she didn’t look like she was going to take the offer.
That is why, when Tony came to the communal floor the day after giving Penny her badge, saying the girl had come to the Tower, she was surprised. He didn’t say the reason behind the visit, only that she had already left.
After that day, Penny was a constant in the tower. She was a little more open with them, but mostly Tony. It made Natasha wonder what exactly happened that Thursday that made the young girl trust the man so much. The thing that troubled her the most, in a bad way, was how every positive favor that the girl show Tony was like it was taken from Steve. While Penny wasn’t rude like she was with Tyler, she wasn’t friendly and if Natasha was honest, it confused her more than anything ever had in her lifetime.
She had figured out that Penny Parker was a mystery. She obviously didn’t trust easily. She was still wary with all of them, never talking about anything personal, and watching al of their moves, but she seemed to be more wary of Steve. Never talking with him unless he talked to her directly, and she avoided him in favor of others.
At first, Natasha thought that it had something to do with the recent conflict between Tony and Steve, and as Penny seemed to like Tony, she immediately disliked Steve. Her theory was quickly refuted by Penny forming an unlikely friendship with Bucky.
It seemed that for now, Penny Parker would remain to be a mystery.

“There needs to be somebody else with me!” Your father exclaimed.
“Oh, well maybe you should’ve thought of that before making this fraudulent internship?”
“It’s… real. It’s real to me.” Your father gazes at you longingly.
“Soooo people are supposed to believe I have to work my way up through this internship despite the fact that we share a last name and address?” You look up from your laptop for the first time during this conversation.
“There’s celebrities out there that don’t give their children even a penny, you’re lucky.” Tony shrugs, popping a grape in his mouth.
"Plus, it makes perfect sense! You're a little builder like me aren't you?" He says in between chews.
“Those are mine,” You snag the bowl back to your side of the kitchen island. “and I’m adopted!” You shove two grapes in your mouth to one-up him. “Do you know how effed up you would be to cut off my only source of income when I’m adopted?!” You were muffled by the grapes in your mouth.
“Don’t curse.”
“I said eff I didn’t say fuck.”
“DON’T CURSE.” Tony warned.
“Ugh, where’s mom? I wanna complain about you.” You groaned, taking yourself and your laptop upstairs.
“Leaving at 11:30!” Tony shouted through the stairs.
You waved him off, rushing to your room. You continued working on your computational model simulated lab that Bruce designed for you to play around with.
“Bam.” You say to yourself as you let the 3D models crash into eachother.
“Knock knock.” Your mom says quietly.
“Mom, don't say knock knock. Just knock on the door.”
“Honey, let’s get off the computer for a second.”
Pepper closes your laptop gently. “Just go with your father hon. He’s just using this as an excuse. He wants you to work with him more he loves you.” She crouches down at your eye level, taking your hand.
“Everybody knows how smart you are, they want to work with you. Okay? Okay. Great, get dressed.”
“It's not that I don't want to go, it's the fact that I'm probably not allowed to touch anything fun or follow dad anywhere cool. Also your pep talks are getting shorter and shorter.” You huffed.
“I’m hungry. I want lunch. Maybe your dad should’ve waited for me to make my toast before asking me to come up here.” Pepper takes one last look before leaving the room. “Be ready in 5 minutes.”
You begrudgingly come downstairs.
“You look great honey.” Tony clasps his hands together.
“I didn’t even change.” You said flatly.
“…Okay. In the car.”
Pepper gives you a look with many meanings behind it. If you had to guess, her expression meant “Be nice”, “He’s trying his best”, and “Shut up don’t complain”.
You give your mom a half-hearted thumbs up before leaving.
After a little while of driving, Happy comes to an abrupt stop.
“Dude what the-” Your phone dropped to the bottom of Happy’s seat in the process.
“Here’s the kid.” Tony says, trying to hide his smile. It was evident even from the backseat.
A boy with a linty hoodie and a beaten down bag waved to the car, a matching grin plastered on his face after he realized who was inside.
“Mr. Stark!” He exclaimed.
Your dad gets out of the car, exchanging words with the boy.
Tony opens his door. “Yeah go sit back there. Now, I trust you know not to bother my daughter.”
As if on cue, Peter opens the door to see you with intimidation in his eyes.
“Hi.”
“H-Hi.” Peter sits in his seat stiffly. He extends a hand and reels it back realizing what your dad had just said.
“He’s just kidding.” You shake your head, chuckling. “…I’m allowed to greet people.”
Peter swallows a lump in his throat. “Right. Of course. I’m just not sure if I can greet people.” He wipes his sweaty hand on his sleeve before extending it out again.
“Peter.” He looks up with a shy smile.
“Y/N.” You nod, shaking his hand.
“I saw you on youtube. The robot you built? The one that could project a hologram five times its size? So cool.” He gushes.
You smile shyly, having to look away from embarrassment.
“I’ve seen you on youtube too.” You grin subtly.
"...Oh god. I was only ten, my solar system was supposed to orbit around slowly. I used paperweights instead of styrofoam balls and the battery I used was high powered, they weren't supposed to fly out like that. I even paid for the school's camera with my Christmas money-"
"Uh- no.. I meant like the spider thing?"
Dumbfounded, Peter looks over to Tony through the rear view mirror. Tony meets his eyes and gives him a wink.
"Oh... I didn't know you knew about that." Peter sinks into his seat.
"Don't be embarrassed. I think it's cool." You smiled.
Peter unconsciously smiles back at you. "Thanks.. I…try." Peter cringes at his attempt to reply to you normally.
You lessen the distance between you and him and look at him fascinated.
"How do you swing around? Lab-made fibers? It looks.. almost organic."
Peter tries not to flinch and holds his breath. He should've brought his breath mints. What if his breath stinks? He ate a string cheese before he left the apartment.
"I-I uh- I make them myself. It's web fluid. When it flys out of my web shooters, it solidifies into that flexible, strong stuff." He pulls up his sleeve to show you.
"Woah, how many cartridges do you need?" You run your fingers along the band around his wrist, staring curiously.
"They last a while, but I switch them out like every few weeks-"
"We're here." Happy yawns, taking the opportunity to stretch his arms.
"Thanks Hogan." You pat his shoulder from the backseat and get out of the car.
Peter blinked and all of the sudden, everyone filed out of the car. He frantically steps out, his eyes having a hard time adjusting to the sun.
"Here." You push him three inches to the side, bringing a shadow to shield the sun from his eyes. A really big shadow.
Peter can't help but let his mouth hang open.
"Just as flashy as I remember it dad." You said before stealing his sunglasses from his face and running to the doors.
"Hey, GENTLE! They're Dita! VINTAGE!" He shouts.
You giggled as you tried to frantically slide your keycard into the scanner that unlocked the doors.
"I'm gonna tell the receptionist they're a gift!" You yelled back before rushing inside.
This makes your dad quicken his pace, rummaging his pocket for his keycard.
Peter had never seen Tony like this before. There was someone who was alive, very real, and actually had authority over him. His child. Peter slowly catches up to Tony who's waving his credit card around the sensor.
"Sir.. I don't think that's the right card." He mumbled.
Tony looked down at his gold card, his brain short-circuiting for a moment.
After composing himself and taking out the correct card, Tony almost flung the door open, his eyes locked to you leaning over the front desk.
"Y/N!"
You turned around, the sunglasses nowhere to be found.
"Yeah?" You tilted your head innocently.
The receptionist takes this opportunity to go back to her typing after you finally stopped talking her ear off. She wasn't wearing them either.
Peter stood awkwardly behind Tony. He stared at the high ceiling and the enormous fish tank that stretched across the wall with fish he had a hard time telling if they were real.
"Gotcha." You reveal the sunglasses behind your back, handing them back to your father.
"Not my style.. Also probably not her's either. Right, Erin?"
The receptionist only shoots you a glance, her fingers never stop clacking on the keyboard.
"Kid, this way." Tony sighed, gesturing Peter and following you to an elevator.
Peter shyly makes his way to the corner of the elevator and staring at the array of buttons. He's never been in a building with over five floors, let alone a hundred.
"So... What are we doing exactly?" You asked your father.
"I thought I'd give the kid a tour." Tony says while he scrolls through his phone.
Peter fiddles with his hoodie's strings, unable to make eye contact as he's being mentioned.
"Oh." Tony stops.
"What?" You asked warily.
"I need to approve something. Something either dumb and obvious or an array of important decisions." Tony looks through his missed calls and rings a number.
"Tour my ass." You mumbled.
If superheroes do anything, they double book. Constantly.
The elevator dings and you and Peter file out. You turn around and Tony doesn't step off.
"You've been promoted to tour guide. Okay bye." Tony closes the elevator doors and you watch him descend to a lower floor.
"I went from being a child of nepotism to a tour guide? I don't consider that a promotion."
Peter was visibly dumbfounded. He was intimidated by Tony by some degree yes, but he already knew him. He's never been to the tower, and now he's alone with his child that could make or break his reputation here.
"...Dude?" You wave your hand over his face. From your perspective, ever since your dad went downstairs, Peter had been blankly staring at the floor.
"Hm?" Peter's eyes didn't leave the floor.
"Wanna meet Dr. Banner?" You smiled. It reminded Peter of a cat that knew it was doing the wrong thing.
Something about your expression told Peter you wanted to bother Bruce more than you wanted to introduce Peter to him.
After a string of trailing after you in hallways that looked like they were from the future, you slid open the keypad, and rapidly drew a complex pattern into it.
"Hey Dr. B."
"Woah." Peter's eyes wander throughout Bruce's lab. Holograms fill a lot of empty space.
"Hey mini Stark, hand me that slide rack will you?"
You were all smiles. Peter could see you were finally in your element.
"What are you doing now?" You peer over Bruce's shoulder.
"Not too close, unless you wanna put on a coat and some goggles." He says, eyes locked on the microscope.
You immediately run back to the doors, a nervous Peter Parker blocking the coat hanger.
"C'mon Peter." You enthusiastically put on a lab coat and fasten the glasses over your face. Without hesitation, you put another pair on Peter's face and throw him a coat.
You grab him by the sleeve just as he put on the coat and run back to Bruce.
"Dr. Banner, this is Peter." You smiled.
Bruce looks up from his microscope and gives a small wave.
"From what I've seen, I think he might be one of us." You chuckled.
"...And maybe one of you guys." You give Peter a teasing smile.
Peter let out a small and odd noise before clearing his throat.
"Dr. Banner, I'm a huge fan." Peter gushes.
"Hey, show him your webs." You pull his sleeve back.
Bruce’s eyes studied the webshooters.
"He's the spider guy." You say proudly.
Peter tries not to shake uncontrollably from a mix of embarrassment and excitement.
"Oh.. You made these?" Bruce blinks curiously.
Peter nods and tries to conceal his growing smile.
“He’s one of you guys. I told you.” You wink at Peter, only for him to see.
“That’s… how? How did you make these?” Bruce chuckled in disbelief.
“Can I borrow your whiteboard?” Peter asks.
After writing down the entire formula for the polymer he used for his webs, Peter finally slouches over. His work takes up a majority of the board.
Bruce stares in awe of Peter’s creation.
“Basically this is it.” Peter scratches the back of his neck.
“Visit any time kid.” Bruce chuckled, speechless. He gives Peter a pat on the shoulder.
“How about a snack?” You asked Peter.
“If you’re gonna pass this little audition with my dad, you should probably know where the kitchen is.” You sighed, pulling the goggles off your face.
“Are you sure you’re not just hungry?” Peter asks.
“Oh, I finally got the boy to let his guard down? Telling jokes now huh?” You laughed.
Peter shakes his head, smiling to the floor.
“I just met Bruce Banner.”
“Mhm.” You trail down a long hallway, to a shiny pair of doors that stretched from the floor to the ceiling. The kind of doors Peter would visualize any person having a hard time opening.
Behind the doors was a kitchen area bigger than the living room of his apartment. The marble top island was like his dining table.
“Take anything.” You said casually, fetching two spoons from a drawer.
Peter walks in like he’s just attended his own surprise party. When he opened the pantry he didn’t expect a wall of snacks.
“I like these.” Peter points to the bag of mini reese’s cups.
“Then bring the bag dummy.” You snorted and opened the freezer.
“How about some ice cream?”
Peter and you somehow moved all your snacks to the balcony and you started tearing away at them almost immediately.
“You brought a lot.” Peter unwraps a peanut butter cup while you sink your spoon into your coffee ice cream.
“What are you hinting at man?” You give him a glare.
“NO! God, no I meant I don’t want to eat all this food, it’s- it’s not mine I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that.” By the end of Peter’s sentence he pops the candy in his mouth, defeated.
“I’m messing with you. Dig in. Seriously though Cap is on a new diet he found on this dumb blog. I never should’ve gave him an iPad for Christmas.” You rolled you eyes.
“It’s mostly my snacks now. Sometimes Natasha eats with me when I bother her enough.”
“Cap? Cap as in?” Peter knew the answer but needed a confirmation. There was no way he could be convinced he’s in the very building where all these heroes roam around.
“Captain America.”
“And Nat?”
“Oh, Black Widow.” You say in a sultry voice.
“That’s my lady. We watch dumb movies when I come around here.” You added.
“That’s.. wow. You see them often?” Peter takes a spoon and digs into the ice cream too.
“I guess.” You shrugged.
“Just so you know, they’re all lame like me. Not as cool as you think.” You grinned at the memories you had of them hanging around.
Peter shook his head.
“You’re not lame. You’re cool. I don’t think anyone else can mess with Tony Stark like you can.” Peter chuckled.
You look down and take another scoop of ice cream.
“…Not that he’s the only reason why you’re cool. You’re so smart and really funny.” And really pretty. But he wasn’t going to say that.
“Thanks. You’re pretty cool too.”
Peter let out a dry laugh.
“No. I’m not. You should see me at school seriously. It varies from being invisible to being a-”
“Don’t call yourself a loser or a nerd before I do a flip off this balcony.” You groaned.
“Besides, what’s a nerd if not a person in the wrong environment?” You give him a nudge.
“This is an environment where nerds thrive… And the occasional superhuman.” You added.
“Then why aren’t you getting recruited possibly, like I am?” Peter asked.
“My parents won’t ever let that happen.” You sighed, opening a bag of spicy chips.
“Maybe in the future, I’ll be one of these guys, we’ll be older, and we can convince your parents.” He said.
“You’re so innocent.” You laughed. “But yeah. If you somehow land a spot here, you have to help me get in too.”
Peter held out his pinky.
“..What are you doing?” You raised an eyebrow.
“I…pinky promise.” Peter held a stern expression. For the world’s best tour guide, he was willing to keep his word.
“Okay, swear?” You held out your pinky.
“Swear.”

Title from: Who Knew? - P!nk
________________________________________________
Staring out at the still water, Penny felt as if she was being mocked. How could something be so still, so peaceful, when she felt like she was being torn apart from the inside out? She remembered how it felt to turn to dust. Her whole body tried to fight it, tried to stitch itself back together. Tried to prevent the inevitable. It hurt like hell, feeling yourself crumble. Somehow, this hurt worse.
Penny has known loss. Her whole life has been marked by loss after loss. It defines her now. Sections of her life, all land-marked by grief. She isn't sure she would know herself without it. Her parents, her uncle Ben...
Tony.
A hand on her shoulder brings her back to the present. She wishes it hadn't. She wishes she was quite literally anywhere else, anywhere but where she was. The lakehouse... Tony's lakehouse...
Tony's funeral.
She half-expected herself to break down, waiting for clarity to pierce through her veil of blissful ignorance. It didn't. Truthfully, Penny wasn't entirely sure she was even in control of her own body. Maybe it was a trauma response, her brain's way of protecting her from what would likely be her undoing. She knew if she lingered on it for too long, she would have to face reality. A reality where she came back to life and Tony Stark didn't.
She turns her head slowly, glancing at the owner of the hand on her shoulder. Rhodey. The man looked as if he had aged about 15 years. He held a deep pain within his eyes, but the look of resignation on his face was enough to tell Penny that he had been mentally preparing himself for this day years before she ever knew him.
"Hey, kid. I'm glad you came. Tony would've wanted you here." Rhodey looked away for a moment, his eyes shining in the afternoon sunlight. "You meant the world to him, Pen. I hope you know that. He loved you so much."
Penny knew these words were meant to comfort her. She racked her brain, trying to remember how one is usually expected to respond to these types of things. Instead, she just blinks, mumbling a barely audible "thanks." Rhodey looked at the young girl with a sort of sadness, one that Penny couldn't decipher. She realized belatedly that she didn't care.
As Rhodey walked back towards the cabin, Penny took a brief look around at the crowd that had gathered while she was off in la-la land. All her childhood heroes gathered in one place, and she couldn't bring herself to feel anything other than the emptiness that had consumed her since she left the battlefield. All of her heroes, except one. The only one she wanted to see.
Images of that final battle flash in front of her eyes, and the girl doesn't waste her time trying to blink them away. She can't run from them any more than she can run away from the tragedy that seems to cling to her like a plague. The portals, the aliens, the bodies.
Mr. Stark.
She had run to the man, unable to believe that it had really been 5 years like the wizard had said. She barely had time to take in his appearance, but a quick glance at his face proved that time had indeed gone on without her. His hair had taken on more grey than she had seen, as well as a few new wrinkles. None of that mattered to her, not when she hardly had time to get a word in before the man had wrapped her up in a tight embrace.
Tony had hugged her as if his life depended on it, and maybe in some way it had. The way he looked at her as if her very presence was a miracle, as if he thought he would never see her again. He held her close, like a father would his own child, kissing her cheek and cupping the back of her head as if she would fade away from within his arms, telling her how much he loved her.
When she closes her eyes, Penny still sees the look in Tony's eyes. When he had the gauntlet on his hand, the flashes of inconceivable pain, the rage, the fiery determination. She also sees the aftermath. The blank, faraway stare that should never be associated with a man as full of life as Tony Stark. The way she knelt at his side, whispering to him, begging him to be okay, The way his lips tugged up into an almost unnoticeable smile as he heard her voice.
Nothing could drown out the haunting echo of Tony's heartbeat, slowing down steadily until it came to a stop. Penny didn't think she would ever go a day without hearing it.
Footsteps approached her where she stood by the lake. She could tell without looking that it was May. "Pepper is asking for you, honey, They're ready to start the service." May said gently, tucking a strand of Penny's hair behind her ear. Her aunt wrapped an arm around her shoulders comfortingly as she guided the girl towards the cabin where everyone had gathered.
Somewhere in her mind, Penny was screaming, crying, for a father that wasn't even hers. For the man who took care of her, who loved her like she was his own flesh and blood. On the outside, Penny looked like the poster child for indifference. She had run out of tears to cry, resigned to the cold feeling of numbness. She was so far away, she wasn't even sure it was worth her time to try and fight her way back to the present. It was as if she was watching her own life on a TV screen. She had no control. Penny decided to just surrender to it, and let her consciousness drift as it pleased.
She had done this before, she knew the drill. Funerals weren't an uncommon occurrence in the life of Penelope Parker. As she looked around, though, she spotted a small figure, clutching the hem of her mother's dress. Morgan Stark. Tony had had his own daughter in the time Penny had been gone, and Penny couldn't even bring herself to care. She felt for the little girl, who looked alarmingly like her father. The same curious, brown eyes and dark brown hair. She knew what it was like to lose a parent at a young age. She couldn't help but feel responsible. There had to have been something she could have done differently. Something that would have made sure Tony was standing here himself, right now, comforting his daughter.
As Pepper and Morgan walked through the group towards the lake, carrying a wreath with Tony's old arc reactor in the center, Penny felt nauseous. She didn't even get a chance to say a proper goodbye to Tony. Just like her parents. Just like Ben. Maybe it was the Parker Curse. Penny never having the chance to tell her parental figures exactly how much they meant to her before they were cruelly ripped away from her. She realized with a startling clarity that she barely remembered her own parents. Morgan was about the same age as she was when her mother and father died. Would Morgan even remember Tony? Would she remember his face? His voice? His laugh?
Tony deserved a happy ending, more than anyone else standing around. After everything he had been through, everything he had seen, he still managed to put everyone else before himself, while always taking the brunt of everyone else's blame and frustrations. She felt bitter. What right did Captain America have to be upset about Tony's death? Or any of his friends for that matter? Steve almost killed Tony in Siberia. Penny had seen the aftermath of that. She had seen the haunted look in Tony's eyes. The way he never seemed to fully let his guard down around them even after the Rogues were pardoned and moved back into the Tower. She saw how it had affected him, and Steve had the nerve to offer condolences to his grieving widow and daughter? When he could've prevented this from happening?
Penny ignored the burning hatred simmering in her chest, and focused instead on the water. As Pepper and Morgan set the wreath afloat, she didn't bother to watch it. She instead paid attention to the way the water rippled, the smooth, glassy surface of the lake disrupted.
The reflection of the trees began to warp, and Penny couldn't help but relate to that feeling. She felt as if everything was warped, because surely this was all just a bad dream right? She would wake up any minute in her bedroom in the Tower to the smell of Pepper's pancakes, listening to Tony cursing up a storm because she wouldn't let him have his 3rd cup of coffee at the ripe hour of 10am. Penny would smile to herself and make her way into the kitchen, a day with her found family ahead of her. Maybe her and Mr. Stark would work on her Spidergirl suit in the lab. Maybe they would order Thai food for supper. Maybe they would invite May over, and Happy and Rhodey, for a family dinner. Maybe they would end the night as they usually do, watching some sort of movie while Penny curled into Tony's side, drifting off as he combed a gentle hand through her hair.
But this wasn't a dream, and Penny wasn't that naive.
As the crowd of mourners began to disperse, Penny didn't budge. She didn't even react when Happy pulled her into a hug. She didn't move when countless Avengers gave her a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. She did flinch as she heard Pepper's voice from her side.
"Penny, sweetheart, would you like to come inside? There's something I'd like to show you." The woman said in a soft tone, reminding Penny of how gentle the woman would be with her whenever she stayed at the Tower. Pepper became a second mother to her, and she hadn't had the courage to be alone with her for more than a few minutes since her return. Looking around slowly, Penny noticed Morgan's absence. She must've had a curious look on her face, because Pepper assures her that Morgan is with Rhodey, feeding Gerald, who Penny would later learn, to her surprise, is an alpaca.
Penny, unable to formulate a coherent sentence to refuse or get away from the situation, stays silent as Pepper guides her toward the lakehouse. Pepper doesn't say anything as she shields the girl from the other guests gathered in the living room and kitchen, but instead steers her up the stairs and into the hallway. They pass a spare room, a room with a child's drawing on it and a sign that says "Morgan" in what Penny assumes is the little girl's own writing, and a larger door that she assumes is a master bedroom.
They come to a stop in front of a door at the end of the hall, just beyond Tony and Pepper's room. The door is plain, but a small spider symbol next to Penny's name in that same child's writing has her heart hammering in her chest. She turns to Pepper, confusion lacing her expression. Pepper smiles encouragingly, nodding towards the door. "Go ahead, open it." She says quietly.
Penny lifts a shaking hand to the doorknob, turning it slowly. She opens the door, revealing a fully decorated room. A bed sits in the middle, decorated with a dark duvet and several Spidergirl and Iron Man plushies. There is a desk in the corner, a fully stocked bookshelf, posters lining the walls, Lego sets waiting to be built. It looked like it was all ready for someone to move into.
"When we were drawing up the plans for this house, Tony refused to build it unless we built it with enough rooms for the whole family. A room for us, a room for any guests, a room for Morgan, and a room for you." Pepper said, not bothering to cover up the emotion in her voice.
Penny looked at her questioningly, her ears ringing with the implications of what Pepper was saying. "I- What?"
"Well, we couldn't build a house if we didn't have enough rooms for both of our daughters, now could we?" Pepper placed a hand on the girl's back, rubbing circles in a practiced and comforting motion.
All Penny could feel was shock, and fear, and disgust with herself. "Ms. Potts, I- No. I can't- I can't stay here. You can't possibly want me to stay here." She said, her tone weak but bitter, avoiding eye contact with the woman.
"Of course I do, Penny, why wouldn't I? You're family. Tony always thought of you as the daughter he never had. So did I. Then when Morgan came along, the only thing he talked about was how much you would've loved her. Morgan grew up with stories about her sister Penny. You are just as much our daughter as Morgan is." Pepper said as if she was simply stating facts. Facts that Penny refused to let herself wrap her own head around.
The teenager could only think about Morgan having to grow up without her father. Knowing that Penny was the cause of it. Knowing that if Tony had never tried to invent time travel to get her back, Morgan would still have a dad. That thought brings in a new wave of nausea, and Penny isn't sure how much more of this she can take.
"You don't understand! This is all my fault! Morgan is going to grow up without a dad and you've lost your husband and it's all because of me! If I was faster, I could've grabbed the gauntlet from him. I could've been the one to-"
"Penelope May Parker, don't you dare finish that sentence, do you hear me?" Pepper cut her off with a steely edge to her voice, holding the girl in place by her two arms. Penny stared at her wide-eyed, shocked, but reminded of the way Pepper would sound on phone calls when using what Tony had called her "CEO voice."
"Yes, Tony invented time travel because he thought it would give him the chance to get you back. Yes, Tony knew that doing so would possibly cost him his own life. But Penny, you have to know how much he loved you. He would've moved heaven and earth if it meant getting the chance to see you again, to give you the chance to grow up to be the amazing young woman we both know you would be. And he did. He did what he did fully aware of the possible consequences."
"He wanted nothing more than to be here with you. To watch you be a big sister to Morgan, to watch you graduate high school and go off to college and lead a new generation of great minds. He wanted to see you change the world like he knew you would. But if he had to give up the chance to see it for himself, to make sure that you would have the chance to do it in the first place? Well, that was a no-brainer for him." Pepper said firmly as Penny continued to stare at her, tears welling up in her eyes.
The woman sighed before continuing. "Penny, you and Tony are so much alike it scares me. You're both crazy smart, you're both kind souls, but the two of you also have the most outrageous selfless streaks I've ever seen. I won't sit by and watch you drown in guilt and regret over this, and you know Tony wouldn't want that either. So yes, I do expect you to stay here. Whenever you want. You can visit on weekends, school breaks, hell, you can move in tomorrow if you wanted to. But May needs you, too. So I will be as patient as I can and wait for your visits whenever you feel like coming up, okay? Do you understand me, Penny?" Pepper finishes softly, cupping Penny's cheeks and wiping a stray tear from her face.
Penny struggles to form a sentence, so she does the next best thing. She wraps her arms around Pepper, hugging into her tightly and crying in earnest into the woman's black dress. Pepper rubs a soothing hand up and down her back, holding her gently and whispering words of comfort to her. As Penny's tears taper off, Pepper guides the both of them towards Penny's new bed, sitting them down on the foot of the mattress. She brushes Penny's curls away from her face and smiles softly.
"You know, when Morgan was born, we only had a first name picked out for her. Tony and I decided that we would choose a middle name when we saw her." Pepper said as the younger girl remained tucked into her side. Penny smiled softly, the image of Tony and Pepper holding their newborn baby heartwarming. She always knew they would make the best parents, after all, she had spent so much time wishing that they were her parents before she had been dusted.
"What did you guys decide on?" The girl asked. Pepper glanced down at the girl in her arms and smiled. "The minute Morgan opened her eyes, Tony started crying. I thought something was wrong, but he just looked at me and said that her eyes reminded him of yours. He said they were the same chocolate brown. We decided pretty quickly after that what her middle name would be," She paused.
"Morgan Penelope Stark."
Penny sat up so fast she almost fell off the bed, tears immediately springing to her eyes as she looks at Pepper with shock. "You- you guys- you named her after me?" She whispered, voice thick with emotion.
Pepper smiled and nodded. "Yeah, sweetheart, we did. We named her after her beautiful big sister. We told her stories about Spidergirl, and more importantly, the brilliant and kind young lady behind the mask. Her favourite bedtime story was one that Tony would tell her about Spidergirl and Iron Man's adventures in the big city. You can't even imagine how excited she is to meet you. I asked her to give you some space at first, until I had a chance to talk to you."
Penny didn't try to stop her tears from falling this time. She couldn't even explain how she was feeling. Tony and Pepper had truly loved her, they really did think of her as their kid, so much so they named their own daughter after her. They built her a room in their house even though they thought she was dead. They carved out a place in their new lives just for her, knowing that she may never have gotten the chance to even take that place.
Her thoughts are interrupted by a hesitant knock at the door. Happy pokes his head in. "Sorry to interrupt, but Little Miss wanted to say hi." No sooner does he finish his sentence, when a small face peeks through the gap in the door.
Pepper looks at Penny, an unspoken question on her face. Penny understands, and nods. Pepper turns her attention towards the door. "Morgan, you can come in sweetie."
Morgan pushes the door open and toddles in slowly, looking up at Penny. "You're Spidergirl, right? You're my sister?"
Penny glances up at Happy, and back to Pepper, who has tears in her eyes. Penny turns her focus back to the little girl, and nods. "Yeah, I am. I'm Penny. It's nice to meet you. Morgan."
Morgan doesn't take long in jumping into Penny's arms, clinging to her like a koala. Penny wraps her arms around the young girl and a strange warmth fills her entire body. She knows, in that split second, that she loves this little girl. That she would do anything in her power, anything at all, to protect her. She imagines this is how Tony must've felt about her.
"I'm so happy you finally came home, Penny. Mommy and Daddy missed you a lot." Morgan said innocently.
Penny saw Pepper wipe away a tear out of the corner of her eye. If Penny tried hard enough, she could almost see Tony standing in the corner of the room, gazing softly over at his two girls, right where they belong. With each other. She makes a silent vow to Tony, wherever he may be now, that she will keep Morgan safe.
"I'm happy too, Mo. Really happy."
And somehow, she can tell that Tony already knew.

My fav Penny Parker fanfics
Penny Parker was sure that someone would die; either she would kill her family for embarrassing her, or her family would kill Flash for bullying her.
“She decided when the media started saying Spider-Man it was probably for the best not to correct them. No one would ever suspect a teenage girl to be behind the mask,” He explained.
Sam helps Penny when she is faced with Skip.
When Penny finally tells someone about the verbal abuse May is hurling at her, she is immediately welcomed at the tower with open arms. She finds more family than she ever knew she needed.
Penny had been invisible.
From as far back as she could remember up until her father had returned from Afghanistan, the girl had had no idea what it was like to be a part of a family. She'd had vague ideas, from the kids at pre-school and then at elementary school. Friends had talked about what they'd done with their parents over the weekend, often with a sibling or two attached. They'd talk about trips and games and, what had made her most jealous of all, birthday parties.
Penny hadn't really had birthdays. And especially not parties.
But, with Pepper pregnant and every moment being dedicated to the coming baby, Penny is really looking forward to this one day.
In the few months after Penny’s disastrous Homecoming night, the Stark and Parker families figure out how to find common ground.
Penny Parker is about to come out to her favorite group of superheroes. Well, she wants to.
Mr. Stark is dead.
It's her fault.

Penny knows her face looks bad. Normally, she’d throw on some concealer and pull up her hood, but the bottle she keeps in her school bag is fresh out.
(The amount of concealer she goes through might be worrying. Hell, her talent for covering bruises might be worrying.)
Of course, it was the day that she runs out of concealer that she ran into Steve. And by that, she means that she quite literally ran into Steve.
