I tried recording myself singing a song just to hear how I actually sound. I think this song is really cool, so I thought I would share it.
I got this song from a singer named Bella Hardy. The text of her song is adapted from an older ballad. I have found it written in "The Ballads and Songs of Derbyshire" (Ed. Llewellynn Jewitt, 1867)
The Peverels were, as a part of the immense possessions given to them by William the Conqueror, owners of the tract of country comprising the Honour and Forest of the High Peak. Their stronghold was the castle at Castleton. The "Lord's seat" mentioned in the ballad is a mountain separating Rushop Edge from the valley of Edale. The view from here, where Peverel used to alight from his horse to watch the progress of the chace, says Mr. Bennett, "is magnificent; perhaps one of the finest in north Derbyshire, as from its summit you may see the Pennine chain of Cheshire, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire, with many of the lovely valleys which lie among the hills. Westward, you look down upon the valley of Chapel-en-le-Frith, the eastern part of which contains the ancient manor of Bowdon. To realize the following ballad, my readers must imagine the Lord of the Peak, William Peverel, with a number of his knights and gentlemen, on the Lord's Seat, preparing for the chace, when they hear the bugle blast which informs the proud baron that some audacious sportsmen are in chase of the deer within his forest. We may picture to ourselves the astonishment and indignation of the Norman prince, and his fierce determination to pounce upon the trespassers and punish them with all the severity of the cruel forest law. Well was it for all parties that he was attended by his brother Payne Peverel, the lord of Whittington, who was one of the noblest sons of chivalry, and whose presence prevented an affray which in all probability would have been fatal to many..."

Posted @withregram • @immycycles #instagram #foto Hello, I’d like to officially nominate the people of West Yorkshire as the friendliest, most kindest people in the world, please. From opening gates, to stopping to chat, to having such cuddly dogs, I don’t think i’ve had a more enjoyable ride meeting new people. And also - so many women on bikes? Is this where you’ve been? In Hebden Bridge? Is this where I should move to? Today I decided to do @emma_osenton route from @reizkultur book ‘Great British Gravel Rides’ (by @vertebrate_publishing. I’ve wanted to do this one for a while, but haven’t because I’ve been slightly too scared. This route was obscenely challenging for me (but in a fun way). I did it on my road bike with ‘gravel inspired’ tyres, which attracted a lot of bemused looks from MTB-ers. They were right to give me the side eye, the huge chunky Yorkshire gravel felt like boulders beneath my wheels and I think if my bike could scream, she’d have cursed me to hell’s basement. It was slow going, but she managed it. I’ve sore sitbones & tight calves now but it was definitely worth it - once again supporting my mantra that you should ‘use the bike you have’ & ‘if you can make a day out of ride, you absolutely should’. This route was so beautiful but steep. I spent a lot of it happily walking my bike & shovelling chocolate buttons into my mouth as I went. It wiggles across huge swathes of sweeping moorland along the pennine bridleway & tiny toy roads of the old packhorse routes, skirting dry stone walls and rolling hills filled with the nintendo buzzes & pings of lapwings. It goes through woodlands & sleepy villages with little spring lambs in small paddocks who seemed as interested in me as I in them. I love their great bat-like ears and tiny little feet. It was my bravest trip yet - I don’t know west yorks at all, & neither my dad nor my partner could come get me if something went wrong. At one point I had a chain issue & no internet signal, so just had to fiddle til I sorted it. I didn’t have a panic attack - it was quite the achievement. 10/10 day. #nevernotcycling #gravelride #groadslikethese #yorkshiregravel #bigdayout #lanesnotlaps

「ARTHUR CAMNIEL "CAM" KERR LAMBTON 」
                   40  •  SOCIETY  •  TAKEN BY GRAY
TRIGGER WARNINGS: Mentions of death, war, homophobia, and ableism
DIRECT FROM LE PETIT JOURNAL:
Once, the Viscount Lambton came to France to fight, to lead, to bleed for the liberty of Europe; now, we welcome him as a true hero of La Grande Guerre, bedecked in honours and the gallant scars of battle. Surely, with all those horrors behind us, he’ll be pleased to settle in and relish the splendour of Paris, more-than-restored to glory after the bombardments of the Boche. Bienvenue, Major-General! Keep those medals buffed and your most splendid war stories at the ready.
ABOUT:
Arthur Camniel Kerr Lambton, born a viscount, one day, an earl. In between now and then? Naturally, he’d join the army, be made an officer, serve honourably, then retire to the seat his father left behind, in Westminster. Oh, yes. Cam would make them so very, very proud. It would be easy, too. After all, he was meant for this. His governesses flourished praise, as did his riding and fencing masters: a clever boy, strong, tenacious. The social set adored him. Such a polite, refined child. Such a charming, driven young man. With such a sense of duty, chaining it all in place. Everything one could have hoped for, from an heir.
Of course, he was also supposed to be his brother’s keeper. Little Jack. It was no hardship, when they were children. Nice to have a playmate on that quiet estate. Perhaps Jack could be fanciful, but he’d grow out of it, surely. And… well, when they were out roaming, his brother’s ghostly legends and fairy tales simply became a part of the landscape. Hiking the North Pennines and the Durham coast, tarrying by the River Wear, Cam could leave all - or most, at least - of his many responsibilities behind, wandering through Jack’s fictions and the English countryside.
But it was childish, to keep illustrating those stories they’d shared as he was shipped off to boarding school; his classmates let him know so, quickly. That was nonsense, now. The sort he clearly didn’t have time for. Not with examinations coming up. And once he’d passed out first from Eton - with honours, of course - on to Sandhurst. From there, Cam was eager to join his colleagues on maneuvers, observing war games across the Empire, studying the future of their field. So very eager that he hardly had time to settle down and have heirs of his own. Not that there weren’t plenty of lovely girls, just lovely, hawking for his hand. He was too busy, that’s all. Until he wasn’t - by order of his mother. It was as simple as that. An order, given for his own good as much as the family’s.
So, as he was meant to be, Cam found himself well-married. And, obviously, content. Such a handsome couple. With a beautiful baby boy, so soon - an heir for the heir. But by the time his spare arrived, Cam had been in France for months, serving king and country. While his more modern tactics and youth rankled hidebound superiors, he quickly demonstrated his genuine talents for strategy and leadership. Not that he was any more popular with the rank and file. Even if they were quietly grateful to be serving under his direction, few tommies enjoyed his rather aristocratic company. Not that being loved was important, in such a time and place.
Mentioned in despatches and pushed up the ranks, Cam soon had an entire division to command - twelve thousand men, including, apparently, Jack. Again, after years of bristling back-and-forth estrangement, as his brother became ever more troublesome. Why did he have to be so bloody difficult? Why was he even there, anyway? Too feckless. Too clever for his own good. Too young, too breakable, too close. And so Jack was transferred, as far from the sharp end as Cam could get him without raising eyebrows. Jack could hate his big brother all he wanted, so long as he survived to do it.
He did. Mostly. The news was gutting; his baby brother, chewed apart by a German offensive, shipped home. And still, a war to win. So Cam soldiered on, more hollow by the day. Until he was headed back to Blighty himself, unseamed shins-to-ears by machine-gunfire during the Hundred Days. After years of war, he was going home - to a family that had to look after him, to children he hardly knew, to an honourable discharge he didn’t want. As soon as he could Cam was limping into the War Office, desperate for anything that could feel like a purpose, frantic to be more than the disappointment he was so dreadfully certain he’d become.
And so he was trotted out, their new poster boy: a general officer, wounded on the battlefield. A hero, they called him. Did it matter that he didn’t feel like one? That it ached, in all sorts of ways, to be sent around “inspiring” men who, far as he could see, had every reason to despise him? Of course not. Because he was meant for this, too. Wasn’t he? Just as he was meant to climb ever higher at the Office, to London. Then, to Paris, ready to serve the ambassador - and his family’s interests, his own, in preventing his brother’s most recent and disastrously shameful novel from ever emerging. God; he was meant to be great. How did it come to this?
CONNECTIONS:
The Hophead: Perhaps you don’t see things the same way - you’ve never been the artistic, dreamy sort, obviously - but when the guns of history won’t quit blazing, and the bright lights of Parisian high society start to burn, you’ve been known to step away and share a pipe. After all, misery loves a… friend?
The Savior: You led, and they followed, once upon a time; a time neither of you want to remember, that the world won’t let either of you forget. Part of you wants to reach out. The rest recoils, sure they’d blame you for the worst of the suffering you shared. Why wouldn’t they? You do.
The Sycophant: Their grasping ambition and frivolous excess sums up everything about this age that rings hollow, for you - everything that makes you wonder what so many died in the name of. Is that their fault? No. Still. You find them tiresome, at best. Too bad that doesn’t seem to discourage their attempts to worm into your good graces.
Faceclaim & Pronouns: Matthew Goode, he/him
The General is taken by Gray, they/them.

camelot, john m ford
Camelot is served By a sixteen-track stub terminal done in High Gothick Style, The tracks covered by a single great barrel-vaulted glass roof framed upon iron, At once looking back to the Romans and ahead to the Brunels. Beneath its rotunda, just to the left of the ticket windows, Is a mosaic floor depicting the Round Table (Where all knights, regardless of their station of origin Or class of accommodation, are equal), And around it murals of knightly deeds in action (Slaying dragons, righting wrongs, rescuing maidens tied to the tracks). It is the only terminal, other than Gare d’Avalon in Paris, To be hung with original tapestries, And its lavatories rival those at the Great Gate of Kiev Central. During a peak season such as this, some eighty trains a day pass through, Five times the frequency at the old Londinium Terminus, Ten times the number the Druid towermen knew. (The Official Court Christmas Card this year displays A crisp black-and-white Charles Clegg photograph from the King’s own collection. Showing a woad-blued hogger at the throttle of “Old XCVII,” The Fast Mail overnight to Eboracum. Those were the days.) The first of a line of wagons have arrived, Spilling footmen and pages in Court livery, And old thick Kay, stepping down from his Range Rover, Tricked out in a bush coat from Swaine, Adeney, Brigg, Leaning on his shooting stick as he marshalls his company, Instructing the youngest how to behave in the station, To help mature women that they may encounter, Report pickpockets, gather up litter, And of course no true Knight of the Table Round (even in training) Would do a station porter out of Christmas tips. He checks his list of arrival times, then his watch (A moon-phase Breguet, gift from Merlin): The seneschal is a practical man, who knows trains do run late, And a stolid one, who sees no reason to be glad about it. He dispatches pages to posts at the tracks, Doling out pennies for platform tickets, Then walks past the station buffet with a dyspeptic snort, Goes into the bar, checks the time again, orders a pint. The patrons half turn–it’s the fella from Camelot, innit? And Kay chuckles soft to himself, and the Court buys a round. He’s barely halfway when a page tumbles in, Seems the knights are arriving, on time after all, So he tips the glass back (people stare as he guzzles), Then plonks it down hard with five quid for the barman, And strides for the doorway (half Falstaff, half Hotspur) To summon his liveried army of lads.
* * *
Bors arrives behind steam, riding the cab of a heavy Mikado. He shakes the driver’s hand, swings down from the footplate, And is like a locomotive himself, his breath clouding white, Dark oil sheen on his black iron mail, Sword on his hip swinging like siderods at speed. He stamps back to the baggage car, slams mailed fist on steel door With a clang like jousters colliding. The handler opens up and goes to rouse another knight. Old Pellinore has been dozing with his back against a crate, A cubical, chain-bound thing with FRAGILE tags and air holes, BEAST says the label, QUESTING, 1 the bill of lading. The porters look doubtful but ease the thing down. It grumbles. It shifts. Someone shouts, and they drop it. It cracks like an egg. There is nothing within. Elayne embraces Bors on the platform, a pelican on a rock, Silently they watch as Pelly shifts the splinters, Supposing aloud that Gutman and Cairo have swindled him.
A high-drivered engine in Northern Lines green Draws in with a string of side-corridor coaches, All honey-toned wood with stained glass on their windows. Gareth steps down from a compartment, then Gaheris and Aggravaine, All warmly tucked up in Orkney sweaters; Gawaine comes after in Shetland tweed. Their Gladstones and steamers are neatly arranged, With never a worry–their Mum does the packing. A redcap brings forth a curious bundle, a rude shape in red paper– The boys did that one themselves, you see, and how does one wrap a unicorn’s head? They bustle down the platform, past a chap all in green. He hasn’t the look of a trainman, but only Gawaine turns to look at his eyes, And sees written there Sir, I shall speak with you later.
Over on the first track, surrounded by reporters, All glossy dark iron and brass-bound mystery, The Direct-Orient Express, ferried in from Calais and Points East. Palomides appears. Smelling of patchouli and Russian leather, Dripping Soubranie ash on his astrakhan collar, Worry darkening his dark face, though his damascene armor shows no tarnish, He pushes past the press like a broad-hulled icebreaker. Flashbulbs pop. Heads turn. There’s a woman in Chanel black, A glint of diamonds, liquid movements, liquid eyes. The newshawks converge, but suddenly there appears A sharp young man in a crisp blue suit From the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits, That elegant, comfortable, decorous, close-mouthed firm; He’s good at his job, and they get not so much as a snapshot. Tomorrow’s editions will ask who she was, and whom with…
Now here’s a silver train, stainless steel, Vista-Domed, White-lighted grails on the engine (running no extra sections) The Logres Limited, extra fare, extra fine, (Stops on signal at Carbonek to receive passengers only). She glides to a Timkin-borne halt (even her grease is clean), Galahad already on the steps, flashing that winning smile, Breeze mussing his golden hair, but not his Armani tailoring, Just the sort of man you’d want finding your chalice. He signs an autograph, he strikes a pose. Someone says, loudly, “Gal! Who serves the Grail?” He looks–no one he knows–and there’s a silence, A space in which he shifts like sun on water; Look quick and you may see a different knight, A knight who knows that meanings can be lies, That things are done not knowing why they’re done, That bearings fail, and stainless steel corrodes. A whistle blows. Snow shifts on the glass shed roof. That knight is gone. This one remaining tosses his briefcase to one of Kay’s pages, And, golden, silken, careless, exits left.
Behind the carsheds, on the business-car track, alongside the private varnish Of dukes and smallholders, Persian potentates and Cathay princes (James J. Hill is here, invited to bid on a tunnel through the Pennines), Waits a sleek car in royal blue, ex-B&O, its trucks and fittings chromed, A black-gloved hand gripping its silver platform rail; Mordred and his car are both upholstered in blue velvet and black leather. He prefers to fly, but the weather was against it. His DC-9, with its video system and Quotron and waterbed, sits grounded at Gatwick. The premature lines in his face are a map of a hostile country, The redness in his eyes a reminder that hollyberries are poison. He goes inside to put on a look acceptable for Christmas Court; As he slams the door it rattles like strafing jets.
Outside the Station proper, in the snow, On a through track that’s used for milk and mail, A wheezing saddle-tanker stops for breath; A way-freight mixed, eight freight cars and caboose, Two great ugly men on the back platform, talking with a third on the ballast. One, the conductor, parcels out the last of the coffee; They drink. A joke about grails. They laugh. When it’s gone, the trainman pretends to kick the big hobo off, But the farewell hug spoils the act. Now two men stand on the dirty snow, The conductor waves a lantern and the train grinds on. The ugly men start walking, the new arrival behind, Singing “Wenceslas” off-key till the other says stop. There are two horses waiting for them. Rather plain horses, Considering. The men mount up. By the roundhouse they pause, And look at the locos, the water, the sand, and the coal, The look for a long time at the turntable, Until the one who is King says “It all seemed so simple, once,” And the best knight in the world says “It is. We make it hard.” They ride on, toward Camelot by the service road.
The sun is winter-low. Kay’s caravan is rolling. He may not run a railroad, but he runs a tight ship; By the time they unload in the Camelot courtyard, The wassail will be hot and the goose will be crackling, Banners snapping from their towers, fir logs on the fire, drawbridge down, And all that sackbut and psaltery stuff. Blanchefleur is taking the children caroling tonight, Percivale will lose to Merlin at chess, The young knights will dally and the damsels dally back, The old knights will play poker at a smaller Table Round. And at the great glass station, motion goes on, The extras, the milk trains, the varnish, the limiteds, The Pindar of Wakefield, the Lady of the Lake, The Broceliande Local, the Fast Flying Briton, The nerves of the kingdom, the lines of exchange, Running to a schedule as the world ought, Ticking like a hot-fired hand-stoked heart, The metal expression of the breaking of boundaries, The boilers that turn raw fire into power, The driving rods that put the power to use, The turning wheels that make all places equal, The knowledge that the train may stop but the line goes on; The train may stop But the line goes on.

Highways England to support 64,000 construction jobs
Highways England said it will support 64,000 construction jobs delivering £14bn of projects during its next five-year road investment strategy (RIS2) delivery programme
Almost £11bn will be spent on repairing and replacing parts of the network.
Over the past five years Highways England has completed 36 major improvement schemes, including adding additional capacity on the M20 in Kent, the M6 in the Midlands and in Cheshire.
Tumblr media
It has also completed 160 cycling improvements, reduced flooding at 260 locations, reduced noise at more than 1,170 locations and improved air quality at 101 locations, and its road improvements have helped unlock the building of 44,000 houses and the creation of 45,000 jobs.
Tumblr media
The latest plans set out how Highways England will deliver the Government’s second Road Investment Strategy announced at the Budget in March. The company will:
open more than 50 upgrades and save millions of hours by improving journey times
invest almost £1bn on broader projects to improve roads for the communities they serve, such as conserving cultural heritage or strengthening flood resilience, and improving access for walkers, cyclists and horse riders
make 7,500 households quieter by tackling noise from roads
help stop the loss of biodiversity
develop a pipeline of around 30 schemes for potential construction post 2025
It will take forward flagship projects to connect key parts of the country, including:
a new road and tunnel under the Thames between Essex and Kent, adding capacity and speeding up journeys between the Channel ports and the rest of the country, which will improve access to jobs, housing, leisure and retail facilities on both sides of the river
upgrading the A66, creating the first new Trans-Pennine dual carriageway since 1971, improving connections between ports in Scotland and Northern Ireland and those in England at Hull and Felixstowe.
improving the major direct route between the South East and South West including a tunnel near the Stonehenge World Heritage Site
And it will deliver a series of major upgrades, such as improving: access to the Port of Liverpool; capacity on the A19 in Sunderland supporting local plans for an international advanced manufacturing park; journey times on the A38 with a scheme for the Derby junctions in the Midlands while providing extra facilities for walkers and cyclists; and the A12 in the East, aligning with local authority development plans.
Tumblr media
As much of the network was built over 60 years ago and needs renewing the company will:
resurface nearly 5,000 lane miles of road
install or renew more than 1,000 miles of safety barriers on motorways and dual carriageways
renew more than 170 bridges and other structures
invest £300-400 million replacing ageing concrete sections on the A14, M5, M18, M20, M42, M54 and M56
Highways England chief executive to step down
Jim O’Sullivan has been at the helm of Highways England since 2015.
He said: “The people in Highways England and our supply chain have achieved great things in the past five years and I consider it a privilege to have worked with them.
“I leave Highways England well placed to deliver the second roads period and to prepare for the third. That makes it a good time to step down and I wish the sector and the company every success for the future.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said: “I’d like to thank Jim O’Sullivan for his hard work and commitment over the past five years.
“His successor will start at an exciting time for the company as it embarks on our ambitious £27.4billion Second Roads Investment Strategy. The programme will deliver on this government’s vision to level-up our roads infrastructure, connecting communities, creating jobs and boosting growth.”

Posted @withregram • immycycles #instagram #foto Hello, I’d like to officially nominate the people of West Yorkshire as the friendliest, most kindest people in the world, please.

D&D 9th Session
Thad requested that everyone meet him at Sea Wolf Keep in the war room to discuss plans on defense and expansion of the newly formed town. Catar, Sylvanias, Pfett, Sebastian, and Drax went to the keep. As they walked out of the tavern they saw Vic walking away with Thoruk and Oliver in another direction disappearing near the docks. Once inside the half built keep they made their way to a war room. Building materials still lay strewn across the floors and the smell of mud and clay drying was almost too much to bare. The room had one table with parchments and scrolls strewn all across as well as a map of the island chain that was built with the help of Sebastian. Thad went over plans to go south and east to meet with two particular cities and gain favor through trading and the promise of military protection. After a few minutes of deciding the group would go east to the Centaurs and Thad would take a small group south to establish in that region. Upon the conclusion Catar found out Pennin still lived and was nursing back to health in the church. They all immediately went to the church to see him. Pennin was laying on a cot eating, drinking, and when they entered….he looked at them rather confused. “Can anyone explain how I woke up in the church? And before anyone answers that can someone count the coin in my pouches?” Pennin was feeling better and the group was ready to head off east. As they left they could see Thad leaving with about twenty heavily armors knights of Ascar and a few wagons of goods. Torinn was seen sitting on the back of the wagon as they disappeared to the south.
The days passed quickly and the travel was easy. Catar wanted to stop at the estate to drop the horses back off to the farmers. On their second night out four zombies stumbled into the camp while Catar lay focused on polishing the blemishes in his maul. They were surprised but the zombies were no match for the group as their power has grown much since they first came together. They continued on the next morning and just as they started to approach the estate lands a hooded figure came out of the brush warning them of danger ahead. Catar asked him to identify himself, “I am Orfeo, and you should lower your voices! Something is amiss up ahead!” The party was on alert, they dismounted the horses and wagon and began to scout ahead as best they could. They approached Ragnars house, there was no movement in the area and something definitely felt off. Catar could sense the evil in the area, he knew they were not alone. Sebastian approached to look inside through a side window. As he approached he saw an undead being inside, he motioned back to the others that there was trouble and prepared for a fight. Catar stepped forward and smashed the front door down with his maul as he burst into the room. As soon as he stepped inside he was swarmed by Ghouls and Ghasts. The stench of Ragnars decaying body almost brought him to vomit. Drax ran inside and Pennin as well to try and aid in combat. One Ghoul came crashing outside as Sebastian tried to jump out of the way and lost his grip on the second story balcony. Sylvanias and Pfett began to attack the ghoul that came outside with Orfeo and Sebastian. Catar, Drax and Pennin made quick work of the first Ghoul and were working on the second when the Ghast wounded Catar pretty badly. Sylvanias and Pfett began to cast and brought down another ghoul and Sebastian ran inside to position himself behind the ghast for an attack of opportunity. He managed to get a decent jab off right as Catar brought his maul down on the ghast smashing it into a bloody pulp and covering Sebastian in blood. The last ghoul fell easily and the battle was over.
Something wasn’t right, a great evil presence could be felt approaching. Ragnar entered into the room, visibly angry with fist clenched and knuckles white around his trident. He began to accuse Catar and the others for the death of his wife. That they did not give her a proper burial. That they allowed this evil to come and take the lands from his people to corrupt them. Catar tried to persuade him but it did not work, Ragnar began to cast. A great darkness fell over the house. Nothing could be seen, even Pfett cast magical sparks to attempt to illuminate the area but to no avail. Drax was terrified and began to flee the estate. Sebastian did not want to stay inside and found his way out as fast as he could. Catar stood his ground. He prepared for combat. Outside the estate everyone stood and watched on into the eternal darkness where their friend once stood. A clash of steel here, the sound of wincing pain echoing off the walls. Catar was in the fight of his life, and with no help. Everyone was terrified to enter into the darkness. Eventually Drax came too and bolted to the entrance and fumbled his way inside. Pennin was next behind him to cut into and find the closest corner he could put his back too. Pennin started to shout foul remarks to Ragnar, telling him what a horrible house guest he was and that he should really clean up the mess. Drax attempted to hit Ragnar and it just seemed futile in the darkness. Ragnar reached out with his hand and managed to touch Catar, draining his life and slowing Catars power. Pfett raised her hands and a weblike substance shot out and covered the room in webs. Pennin was stuck to the walls. Sebastian made his way into the room as well and positioned himself as best he could. When the Darkness disappeared everyone focus fired. Sebastian attempted to grab the trident out of Ragnars hand only to be tossed to the wall like a ragdoll. Ragnar took one powerful strike piercing through the armor of Catar and sucking the life from him. As he pulled the trident out Catars body fell lifeless to the floor. Drax landed two good hits and managed to cut deep into Ragnars flesh. Sylvanias and Pfett began to cast again from outside the house from the best places they could see. Orfeo ran inside and managed to get his rapier right into a weak point in the armor of Ragnar, Ragnar turned and pointed at Orfeo. “Your kind are not welcome on this plane, but you can join me in the Abyss!” As the words left his mouth flames struck down Orfeo nearly killing him. Ragnar was visibly tiring from the battle and his wounds were bleeding profusely. A final hit brought him to his knees as he began to murmur is a dark language. A blueish haze began to envelop his body and it quickly disappeared before them. All went silent. Sebastian gave Catar a greater healing potion to bring him back to his feet. And the party searched the area. They found the Ghost of Ragnars wife who was looking to be put to rest. They buried her body by the shrine to Poseidon and after taking as much as they could from the estate they decided to burn it to the ground. Too much evil has come from this place. They continued on as fast as they could to leave the area and get on with their mission. Only keeping their horses since all the farmers had been turned.
A couple more days travel on the open road they encountered the Centaur camp. They worked out a trade agreement as best they could and the chieftain would allow them to take his son back to Thad’s landing to discuss any more treaties in person. The group enjoyed their time at the open camp town of Uylorn Centaurs roaming freely with no cares or concerns. Pennin found a group that actually enjoyed his singing and felt right at home. Orfeo went to the Smith’s to help with any work they had there. While Sylvanias Pfett and Drax stayed in the main tent enjoying food and the company of the Chiefs family. A girl approached Sebastian, began to flirt and he exchanged the same. Catar swung for a knockout punch that was deflected by the Chief. “He is to wed my adopted daughter when she is of age, there is no need for this violence.” The group was visably angry with Sebastian for keeping such details from them….and from the leaders back at Thad’s landing……
