On Wednesday 10th July 1633 King Charles I “Blessing of Burntisland” sank in the Forth.

Variously described as a ‘ferry’, 'bark’ or 'pinnace’, the Blessing sank while carrying (together with another vessel) part of the baggage train and a number of passengers from Burntisland to Leith. The identities of the recorded victims and the recorded existence of carts attached to their department within the Royal Household suggest that the cargo comprised primarily kitchen and dining equipment, and possibly the wardrobe, other sources say that it was carrying gold, jewellery and silver plate belonging to the King, and another that the value was close to £100,000 a sum possibly equivalent to one-sixth of the entire Scottish exchequer.

Whatever the cargo very little actual facts seem to be available the wreck was not discovered until 1999 by HMS Roebuck, and it is said that the spot the Navy marked was the very place pinpointed by dowser Jim Longton using his divining rod and pendulum.

“Like Professor Calculus!” said Thompson. “What if we tried that?”

A Dowsing Primer

What is Dowsing?

Dowsing is an ancient type of divination, considered by some practitioners as a kind of "Earth magic", that relies on subtle electromagnetic vibrations. You can read all about it on Wikipedia, so I won't go into the history here, except to say it has a long and storied tradition. 

When modern intuitive healers talk about Dowsing, we're usually referring to the practice of using a pendulum in order to diagnose and treat the patient. The best way to think about the pendulum is as an external tool which guides the practitioner's intuition.  Like any tool, it needs to be taken proper energetic care of, cleared, charged, and programmed before using for any kind of dowsing practice.

Choosing a pendulum

What type of pendulum you use is widely dependent on the kind of dowsing you’d like to do as various metals and stones resonate differently.  If you just want something that is very clear and versatile, I recommend starting out with this brass Karnak pendulum.  Some people like using an amethyst or another healing stone for healing dowsing, but please remember that anything you buy from a seller will need to be energetically cleansed and charged prior to using.  Really, anything can be used as a pendulum as long as it is well suspended and can swing freely, however, keep in mind that you should avoid using jewelry for Dowsing if possible because jewelry will absorb the energy of the wearer and may interfere with your readings.

Types of Dowsing

Medicinal Dowsing

This type of Dowsing uses medicinal charts to ask questions about the patient's condition to figure out the source of the illness and suggest possible treatments. Treatments will most often rely on the practitioner's area of expertise, and will often include nutritional supplements, medicinal baths, and/or other Eastern practices.

Energy Dowsing

This type of Dowsing will usually rely on a chakras or meridians chart to diagnose the presence of imbalances in the energetic flow of the patient's body. An energy healer can use this information to remove any blockages or imbalances to restore proper energy flow and help the patient's body to naturally heal itself.  The chart below is one that I created for my own practice: it’s a pretty basic example of how these types of charts might look.

Transcendental Dowsing

This is a more advanced type of Dowsing that is not recommended for new practitioners because it allows the dowser to actually transform the energy around a specific issue or problem. Transcendental Dowsing is very powerful when used in energetic healing. When I use this technique, I create a void into which I channel the negative energies from my patients, and then I fill the void with positive, healing energies. It's very important to clear the space and set up a shield when using this technique, allowing nothing but light and love in and out.

There are lots more non-medical applications for Dowsing and it's a lot of fun and really is limited only by your imagination. If you're interested in learning more, there are tons of books available, including from your local libraries that can give you a great primer on this fascinating and useful ancient practice.

Its constitution is formed by four coaxial lozenges having in the center a circle and a point that constitute the symbolic representation of the Sun. Its most common use is for remote treatment of disorders organic products in general and, for its use, it is necessary to position its axis larger in the magnetic N-S direction.

The use of the graph can be done by adopting the following:

1. Position the graph with the major axis in the magnetic N-S direction with the aid of a compass and place the person's testimony in the center, over the center circle. I'm kind of stubborn and I've done the social networking thing with absolutely no luck and I agree it's not worth it. It might be for some people but no matter how hard I try at it, it seems a waste of time.

Anyway....

When I'm called in to these meetings with my guides, yes I have a ring tone now. It's the old school Nokia ring.

I think it's because I'm stubborn they will agree with me and wait for me to go to them pissed off at myself. It sounds childish but they are like that. Like parents who say something like:

The last three were more surprising than most. How does one get the word out about one’s work in this day and age without Facebook and Youtube? I am waiting to see if they eventually change their minds about that… The Ayahuasca thing makes more sense, since when I asked them about it, I had never before been interested in using any kinds of hallucinogens, plant medicines or psychotropics in my work - or recreationally, for that matter - and for most of my life, had had an instinctive distaste for the idea. In recent years,  however, I’ve become more open to the idea that such medicines can indeed help certain people heal from trauma in important ways. I’m fascinated with the stories of how working with Ayahuasca can bring people closer to nature, as well… I have a deep respect for the indigenous shamans who bring profound integration and insight to people through these traditions. Alas, it seems these medicines are not for me. I trust my guides implicitly on this. I’m so grateful to have them guiding and protecting me!

What is interesting, I want to add...

I smoked a shit ton of weed once and experienced what was my chakrahs opening up. Each one like a flowers pinning in opposite directions. Each part tingling and such. The flowers started to become more vibrant. Back in 2008 I wasn't even close to being on the spiritual path. I was totally against it so I didn't know what I was experiencing so I jumped up and shook it off. Whenever I smoke weed my 6th sense is amped up a notch and it's overwhelming. That's how I noticed I could have conversations with Erik responding in something like Morse Code. It was trippy. Since then that's how I "hear" him.

Again, I smoked weed heavily and I attribute it to opening up parts of my brain that allow my spiritual gifts to function. Because they definitely do! I also take psychiatric drugs. If I was really psycho, these drugs would have wiped out my gifts or my spiritual doors would just about close, right?

My medications aided me on my spiritual path!

Without my medications, I can't consentrate, I have frequent nightmares, my anxiety would be through the roof. I started my meds in fall of 2016 and when I was stabilized on the right medications, my lucid dreams about Erik started to become more frequent and clearer. I can remember every detail. So I was stabilized in spring 2017 shorly after I asked God for my path and accepted my spiritual gifts and whatever, I had two vivid dreams about Erik right before I met him.

On the right medications I am able to perform better because I am concentrate, I don't over think or become spooked so easily although from time to time I still do! I notice when I was on my medications in 2010-2012 I also remember experiencing about the same but I wasn't invested in it as I am now. Lol

If I stopped all medications I wouldn't be able to keep up my spiritual path.

I have Bi-polar, OCD and ADHD. My mind is constantly in to projects and focused on keeping busy. I wouldn't have any time for spirituality and what I thought was mumbo jumbo. Sitting and talking to Erik? Haaaaaaaa no, not even possible. Meditation would be impossible to do. Because these things were impossible, even when I wanted to become more spiritual, it was a lost cause and BECAUSE it was a lost cause, I felt spirituality was bullshit. Like if I can't concentrate on a moving crystal then spiritual practice like that is bullshit. I was only salty that I was incapable of focusing.

Some people link weed to having to do spirit. We get HIGH because we are accessing our higher spiritual components! I think! Some of us open or get access to spiritual doors that would have been shut had we not been chiefing. Modern medicine will always associate spiritual with mental illness.

From my point of view...

People have turned away from God/Spirit and science is the reason why. The powers that be want us to turn away and become sheep. We are so heavily medicated and so we become docile. If we continue on the spiritual path and accept what he's given to us because of a plant he created we are a step ahead of those who aren't.

Remember guys.... It's still important to take your medications. While I'm on mine, I'm able to focus on my path and continue living a human life. If it weren't for modern medicine I literally would not be here!

Spirituality & Mental Health Conditions

In 2015, after smoking copious amount of cannabis (I had never smoked before), I started having odd symptoms. Intrusive thoughts, elevated mood and delusions. In 2017 I was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and my doctor stated that my smoking of cannabis caused the onset of the symptoms (not the disorder, however. I want to stress that).

Now, being in the spiritual community, I have been told what happened to me was purely spiritual, and that medicine for mental disorders are harmful and never work. Well, I don't believe that. I do believe I had both a psychotic AND spiritual experience. I felt more gratitude and happiness than I had ever felt while is psychosis. But I had delusions and intrusive thoughts, and problems sleeping. Now, I do believe I had some internalized issues of insecurity, and that my thoughts reflected that. Shadow work does help with these things. But since being on antipsychotics my schizophrenia symptoms are gone, both the positive and negative symptoms. I do belive there is a physical component to my disorder, and that it's not strictly spiritual. I understand a lot of people in the new age community will disagree with me, and that's okay. I just don't think it's healthy to tell people with psychotic disorders that medicine is always bad for them. Sometimes, it is. And often these medicines have bad side effects. I gained 65 pounds in 2 years on risperdal. On the flip side, I lost the weight once I got on abilify. People have to find if they truly need medicine and what will work for them. I do truly believe there CAN be a spiritual side to psychosis, but that's just not always the case.

Also, the reason I say it was also spiritual is because I believe I experienced kundalini. While I was sleeping I awoke to a purple energy going from my groin up and out my head. It was one of the strangest things ever, lol. I also had innate knowledge that I had never encountered. I knew we as beings are all connected, and I experienced my own growing intuition.
