In the low light of the desk lamp, it almost seemed to him that Tintin's cheeks were a shade darker than usual. He watched him push himself off the desk and fiddle with the sleeves of his shirt, still avoiding Haddock’s gaze. “I-I better get going to my room. Oooh that's a tough question, I think my favourite thing is that moment when a character realizes that they're in love with the other or that their feelings are mutual, like that little "oh" moment. When it's really well done there's an absolutely delicious buildup to it that makes the moment of realization so much sweeter. I've tried capturing that in some of my fics (Last Night in Bagghar and Rescue, among others), though I'm not sure I'm the best person to judge whether I've been successful at it 😅
