oh hell yeah there’s quite a few questions so i get to ramble a lot

1. when did you get into art? look I honestly think I was born with a pencil in my hand but there’s a particular moment when I decided I wanted to focus on it, I suppose. not like ‘oh I want to be an artist one day!’ but more like I decided ‘hey I want to be good at art’. anyway I’ll set the scene, it’s like. 2004 or 2005. I suppose it could’ve been 2003 but that seems a little early I think. anyway I think it was probably around then but it was this big old family get together at my great grandmother’s house which is how I know it was no later than about 2006 lmao. anyway my older cousin showed off a piece of art and I went ‘wow!’. last year we drove past the chinese takeaway that we’d gotten tea from. it’s shut now which is not surprising but the only reason i recognised it was because my grandfather kept one of the god damn napkins and I thought of it as my parents fought about directions

4. what defines your artistic style? drawing people standing there, the way I draw hair I suppose? that’s funny considering a good chunk of the way I draw hair now is heavily inspired by someone I was friends with around late 2018 and early 2019 but he’s no longer online at least on that profile :( anyway to continue I’ll add the way I draw noses because that is very much something I came up with mostly by myself. I did take some inspiration but like the book that I was even thinking of I hadn’t seen in two year by then. it would’ve only been one year had I not lost the damn thing

damn that’s tricky!! let’s see... like as a post I do like my face your art post because I think that one just has a good range of faces in it and it looks pretty. individual piece of art? well the one I’m proudest of is the rainbow dave davies one mostly because it genuinely was one of my better pieces of 2019 but the man himself reposted it on insta so... considering I otherwise don’t really have a favourite I’ll say that

10. what do you like most about your art? those few times I accidentally draw something really well

12. have you ever considered taking commissions? YES and in fact I DID have commissions open for a while back in what, 2019? it was for like two weeks though and I didn’t actually get any but it was worth a shot. I am trying to get myself to reopen them but considering stuff irl it’s really, really slow. I am trying to work on stuff to post to redbubble though but the problem with that is it’s digital and I forget to charge my devices

14. what do you like drawing the most? men in sixties clothing...

15. what do you like drawing the least? honest to god I do not think i actually dislike drawing anything it’s more I get stuck in the rut of drawing the same few things over and over... the thing I’m laziest at is shoes honestly I suck at coming up with shoes that are not either chelsea boots or beatle boots because those are easy as hell to draw. I DO try and puch myself to draw other shoes especially with characters like peter and teddy because those guys are definitely autistic and walk on their toes so lace-u[p shoes are the best thing for them lmao (the things you know when you’re autistic)

Leather Journal / sketchbook cover...Finished.

Finally done, what a great little project. I used a 2.5 - 3 mm Veg Tan Leather, I want to make a cover for books of this size shown. It’s an average school sized exercise book. ( to give an idea of size.)

I covered the exercise book in cellophane to keep it dry, then wet the leather enough to bend it easily, I used a rolling pin to gently give me the bend, I didn’t press too hard as I don’t need to make it permanent just yet, just to see where it is so I can see where to put things as I go along such as he pattern for the design, if I know where the bend is..or the ‘spine’ then I can adjust the drawing until it is where I want it.

I used a method I’ve used before, a lot of people who make these use a lot of ‘Maths’ ( ‘Math’ if you’re American lol). I don’t use Mathematics as my brain turns to mush at the mention of it, I just use a thumb and press the leather around the book being covered, this gives an outline, from that I can see how much room I need for stitch lines or the edging design and the final edge of the cover. and it’s well away from the actual book. I then marked along the edge as seen here and cut it.

Next I wanted a design, so I went back to my Giant book of designs as shown here and using ordinary tracing paper I drew the design. Here it’s much larger than I can use but I want to carve the Heck out of this cover because I enjoy it so much, it takes a while to do but the end result...I hope you will agree...is totally worth the time and effort.

I use decoraters paper tape shown here to hold the paper in place...this tape doesnt harm the paper the table or the leather so is ideal...and the rolls are mega cheap.

I wet the leather ..as I’ve explained in other projects..just enough to take the imprint...not enough to soak the tracing paper. I then use a Metal ball point stylus as seen here to go over the picture taking it slow and easy as you can easily miss a bit. or go over lines twice ..which can leave a messy picture. I used to use a pen so I could see where I had already been, which is ok..as long as you don’t go through the paper because it’s tough to get off the leather and lead is even worse so don’t use a pencil. the lead already on the picture is ok as long as it doesn’t go through. I’ve never had an issue as I don’t push that hard...you have been warned lol. This is step one of putting ‘life’ into a boring piece of old leather.

So I make the outline so I can see where it is, mark the edge as stated earlier...

....and cut, simples.

I want there to be enough room to carry a couple of extra thinner books or a book thicker than the one I’m using so I put in 3 books and mark again.

If you enlarge this picture and zoom in you can see the outline I’ve traced ready to cut. Step two of breathing ‘life’ into it.

Here I’ve started the carving of the design into the leather, you shouldn’t get too wrapped up in any minor things like lines cut that miss the drawn line  or you cut a bit wonky as these can all be sorted as the process goes along. I love seing the picture start to come alive, this is step three.

Earlier I rolled the spine bend gently so that I could just see where to lay the design along it, but also to be able to flatten the leather to carve on it.

People who know a lot more than me always recommend that you tape the back of your piece before Tooling as the act of hammering on it will stretch the leather and throw things out of alignement, it may still move slighty but not as much as it would without it.

I’m keeping the excess on the top and bottom untill I have tooled the designs and stamped the edges.

Here I have re-wet the leather, waited until it is almost back to it’s normal color then used a nice stamp to make the edge design shown here.

Really taking shape now, once the tooling and detailing begins you will start seeing the leather take on a new life, from a hide that looked plain and seemingly no function, to a whole new existence as a beautiful work of art.

Notice the areas already beveled along the dges of the design lines, how they stand out even more now compared to those not yet done.

You see a white glove here, I wear a white glove on big projects because my nails can scrape along the leather and leave tiny gauge marks that won’t come off, this helps prevent that adding a tiny detail that no one but us will ever know happened. Also notice the ‘shot’ bag I use as a weight to prevent the leather wandering whilst I’m tooling.

The section to hold the Book inplace is next for the treatment, I wet it, then using dividers I scored a couple of lines ready to take the edge stamp.

The edge stamping is completed and looks great, note the tape on the back.

Now I decided on mine to decorate the heck out of this piece too. First I made a name tag.

Then I used one of my design tool stamps and being ‘creative’ used it to make a cross picture shown here.

I used the earlier drawing to transfer some flowers and leaves, carved the lines and started tooling.

Bevelling done. detailing will come later.

Here the beveling of the out lines is complete. ready for the back ground.

Here the back ground is filled in using a backgrounder ‘stipling’ tool.

You can see here I’ve started to add the detailing. Every step taking me closer to that finish line and nearer to it’s new life as a stunning to look at and very tactile book cover.

The edges have been cut off by now as once the edge stamp was added they weren’t needed because any stitch lines will be inside that area. note the extra detailing now making leaves come alive ( so to speak ).

All pieces done, detailing finished, ready to dye this baby.

Scary stuff dying with a new color, I haven’t used the Walnut color before and even though I did a tester piece you can never really tell how it will act on the main pieces...but I needn’t have worried.

Got off to a great start..

 and..wow..it came out amazing, the fiebings oil dye did a great job, after adding a coat of dark Brown antique gel and wiping the excess off itlooks like a piece of old antique wooden furniture...which is exactly the look I’m after.

Did I mention earlier I added this decorative stamp to the edge ?? can’t remember.

So good I’m showing it twice hahahahaha.

Here I;m glueing the small ‘card’ slot piece onto the ‘slip’ I then puched stitch holes using a 4mm Stitch iron.

Using a Cobblers hammer to help the glue take hold by light ‘tamping’.

Once glued I used a saddle stitch to attech it more permanently...this bad boy ‘aint going nowhere lol. Again..notice I carried on the edge stamp design.

On the inside edges I used my ‘Craft tool Pro  Edge ‘Rougher’ which works a treat getting it ready to glue in place prior to stitching.

All glued up and readty to stick together with 528 Glue by Evo Stick which I use all the time for most things.

I quickly cut dyed burnished and fitted a small strap to act as a closure with a Line 27 snap stud.

Here you see the strap fitted  to the main body using antique double cap rivets.

After tooling and ding and finishing the inner sleeve I stuck it in place with 528 and added the 4mm stitch holes where needed.

Saddle stitching was used on each section to give a stronger hold.

And here we have the final finished Book cover. I think it looks amazing, the Walnut oil dye came out amazing.

The back of the cover. Once done I coated the whole thing in resolene to ‘fix’ the dye, the I added some ‘Effax’ Balm and buffed it to give some water resistance (note I said resistance not ‘proof’. ) then I buffed it up to a nice shine.

Chaussenque [Chausenque] had given him – perhaps he had lost it – (perhaps he would rather not lend it to me?) – from 11 ¼ to 11 20 (5 minutes more) at my journal again – the horses came at 11 20 – off at 11 ¾ - at the P. de Sia at 12 ½ - at the Pont de Douroncate in 22 minutes at 12 52 the Pic de Bergons about (perhaps not quite so far towards Gavarnie) opposite to the P. de Douroncate (now at 1 just before the bridge of Pragnères I sit on horseback writing this observation) – a ravine between the Bergons and the mt. de Brada – Brada and Liperouse to the Bugaredde rather [niège] which closes the valley de Pragnères, and from the Bugaredde the Lize and Montagne de Même up to Gavarnie road, form the Gavarnie side of the valley de P- the gave de Pragnières coming from the Bugaredde a little farther on (right) our valley of yesterday – its little gave marked on Charpentiers’ map and the valley meant to be designated Subiran? – turned off under the church at Gèdre at 1 ¾ and pass high-arched almost parapettless stone bridge over the Gave de Gavarnie and steep winding ascent up the mountain thro’ box brushwood, and stop a minute or 2 at two for the guides to eat a morsel – very hot – they seem sadly heated – indeed I myself even on horseback am in perspiration – and my linen went on me –

at 2 ¼ at a little distance (left) hameau du Saussa – cross another stone bridge over little gave, and in 20 minutes to ½ hour after alight at 3 ¼ on the Saougué on a little rocky, turfy knoll at a little distance from the cottage of the propriétaire Caoube (or, as pronounced, Cowbe the final e merely of use in lengthening the b) –unsaddled the horses to graze as usual on these occasions – A- had the yolk of one hardboiled egg and I the white, and she then began to sketch the Marboré and cirque, and I sat under a little wall under the little wind (vent d’Espagne) writing pencil notes and contemplating the scene, and looking at my Charpentier-map – the Saougué a large good mountain – plenty of good près (meadows) and pasturage or paccage – as we stand here, on a green and rocky butte, near the cottage and (looking south) the cirque de Gavarnie and Marboré en face – all quite clear as it has been all the way we have come thro’, on setting out this morning, there were a few white clouds floating about that made us doubt our good fortune for today – could see more or less of the Marboré from about 2 ¼ - In front as I now stand at 3 ½ pm (have put on my tartan cloak – my linen damp from the heat of the sun in the steep ascent, and here the air being frais) in front, cirque and cascade seen from the top of its great shoot – a white frothy line the top of the cirque (i.e. the foot of the 1st gradin or talus of snow) seems about, not quite, 2/3 of the height of the great shoot of the cascade – 3 gradins or talus of snow to the foot of the great wall of rock (muraille) whose top is covered with snow, but not more than a speck or 2 visible from here – the top line of the Marboré forming a magnificent segment of a circle the amphitheatre par excellence, begins on the west with the snow-striped Mt. Taillon, and going from west to east (from right to left as I stand) comprises the Taillon, fausse brêche, brêche de Roland, larger tour du Marboré, lesser tour de Marboré, then a levellish line in the middle or swell of the segment, and then the indented range of Astazou shooting up middle way into the huge bluff round-headed pic d’Astazou fit rival of Taillon on this side, and usher of the cylindre and Mt. Perdu on the other as seen from the valley d’Estaubé – Dividing the segment of circle into 3 parts from west to east, the Taillon and 2 brêches and the larger tour = 1/3 the smaller tour and the levellish line to the range of Astazou (that is the cirque) = 1/3 and the range of Astazou = 1/3 the middle part being rather the smallest of the 3 parts – Mt. Perdu not seen from here – to the left – south east – shut out by the Piméné and its long crête ending at the Pic of the [Coumélie] – the pic du Piméné the veritable pic  of the Coumélie – it looked so high, so pointed, and steep, and bare and inaccessible, A- had said, does it not seem almost impossible that we should have been there? it does indeed look a giddy height – (vid. line 17. p. 290) Vignemale not in sight – hid by the large mountain forming the north side of the valley d’Ossonne and the Pic Blanc an immense high round rocky head seeming not far from us right (west) and its range sweeping round to the north, and with the pic d’Aspé etc. behind us forming our valley – it would be easy to descend from here where we are upon Gavarnie, but we have no peep into its valley, except upon the ponts de [niège] at the bottom of and upon the arène of its cirque, and no of course peep into the valley d’Ossonne – Behind us, north, after the debouche of our valley into that of Gavarnie a little to the southward of Gèdre, fourche de Brada – Pic Long – and east of us Canelon (like a little pyramid on a huge truncated cone) and pont du plan turning round (south) in the distance above the chapelle de Héas – behind the Brada, the Hourquette de Mow Copperat and Mow Copperat itself – (vid. line 9 from bottom of p. 294) – merely a few streaks of snow on this side the Piméné, and none on the Coumélie – on the range of the Pic d’Astazou bits of snow in the hollows – Taillon horizontally stripped with snow – or rather leaning towards the cirque, on the ledges of its stratification – snow on the gradins or talus of the cirque and on both sides of them up to the top – gradins or talus of snow up to the foot of the larger tour du Marboré and largeish glacier between the Taillon and crête going up to the fauche brêche – the snow on the east side of the crête and between the crête and the brêche de Roland not seen from here – the brêche itself bouché (blocked) by the end of the crête (as seen from here) of high rock east of behind which one goes to the brêche – this seems the best point of view for the cirque and Marboré – nothing to compare with them except perhaps les murailles d’Estaubé? the one on one side the Piméné, the other on the other –

Which the finer?

and one can pass to the other side by Gavarnie, by the mountain d’Allanz down which we descended – the cascade de Gavarnie being a mere line here, leaves the cirque and Marboré to their own merits – of the cirque de Gavarnie and Murailles d’Estaubé which is the finer coping? the Marboré with its tours, and brêches, and Taillon, and Astazou; or the Mt. Perdu with his glacier and brêche and cylindre and ports de Pinède and Vieux?   the soul of chivalry – the spirit of romance would give the casting vote to Marboré for Rolands’ sake? – had just written the above notes at 4 ½ then looking at my map till 5 5 then went to A- could give her ½ hour for beginning colouring her sketch – left her for an hour and went and stood talking to the guides till 6 5 when A- had just down her colouring sufficiently – (the sketch by far the best she has ever done yet) and came to tell us to be off – she had lost one of her brushes – seeking for this and her eating a biscuit and taking a little sip of noyau took us 20 minutes – when (they had misunderstood about saddling the horses) we set off walking homewards at 6 25 and left the men to follow with the horses – we had come according to Charpentier along the valley de Poeyasbé – but in my talk with the guides, they did not seem to allow this – said the mountain we were on was the Saugué a very large mountain seeming to form the whole of the south side of this valley up to the Pic Blanc and on the opposite (north) side was the Pic d’Aspé – aspé simplement – not Poeyaspé – asked the meaning of the word Poey – it had no meaning – but on X examining Pierre and found that Poey means a butte or monticule – vide Chaussenque [Chausenque]  ii. 299 ‘Pouey, puch, pech, puy, etc – Montagne’ .:. I cannot help thinking Charpentier probably right – In 20 minutes A- and I had walked to the stone bridge (at 6 ¾) over the little gave – at 7 (the horses had got up to us)

opposite the Mt. Cenis (bare, hoary, round low mountain from here) and the Gavarnie road in sight below from which Mt. -Gray eyes that change according to mood(soooo pretty).In brighter lighting they look white. It freaked everyone our.

-Eyeshadow(duh) to cover his eye bags. Small gages. Black or dark purple lipstick. Arm band tattoo. Choker necklace. Rings, both hands(to puch people. :’( )

- Hunched shoulders. Face down and often has earbuds in. Hands in pockets or arms crossed

-Black hoodies(also duh). Big sweaters. Ripped black or purple jeans. Combat boots or purple skull converse

-Death glare all the way. Sometimes a barley visible smirk. Or a pout

~Head Canon Time~

-Virgil drives a motorcycle(hence strong legs). Also a fast runner :’(

-Patton made them all friendship bracelets. They never take them off.

-Virgil got out of a bad home when he was 8 and Patton got out of an abusive relationship when he was 17

-Patton and Virgil have been friends since second grade(they met at school then again in a dance class).

-Virgil didn’t let Pat say anything about the abuse at home when it started

-Then Virge nearly died

-They both have PTSD from it

-Virge nearly killed the guy who beat Pat but wasn’t tried for it

-Roman and Logan have been friends since seventh grade

-Logan was bullied and Roman(one of the most popular guys in school) defended him. He was never picked on again.

-They all met when a squirrel stole Logan’s burrito. He and Roman chased it and Patton helped. Virgil filmed the entire thing laughing his ass off. (He posted it on the school website much to Roman’s horror)

-Patton has talked about Logan before gushing to Virgil how cute and nerdy he his

-Roman knows Logan has been eyeing Patton(Lo never denied it)

-When Logan and Roman discovered Virgil and Patton’s PTSD they looked up everything they could to try and help

-They all share a house. 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, a basement and good sized kitchen.

-Patton works at a daycare. Virgils a barista. Logans a librarian and Roman does plays

-Virgil also does commissions on tumblr

-When Virgil thought about cutting he picked up a pencil and started drawing because he knew Pat would find out eventuality. He didn’t want to hurt Pat

-After pestering Roman got Vigil to make banners for plays he was in to put on campus

-They have a dog and cat. The cat stays in Virgil’s room(the basement. He asked if he could have it) due to Patton’s allergy(he still pets it. He has allergy medicine)

-Gray cat. Name is Nickle. Golden retriever. Name is Good Boi

-They couldn’t decide on a name so Vigil kept calling it Good Boi. After a week that’s all it responded to.

-In school for: Logan- Astronomy/space. Roman- Theater/Drama with a business minor. Virgil- (either veterinarian or art/music and dancing). Patton- Teacher(preferably to work with younger kids) ((MIGHT CHANGE!!!))

-All of them are scary if you piss them off but lord have mercy on your soul if you piss off Patton

-It happened once *coughfullbodycastcough*

Birthday Ef - Beejal Bhatt/Arth Vaibhav      Wed, April 19      ... birthday greetings to our two Ef sena members and wishing them the very best .. love from us all ..

I see the multiple pens and writing instruments that invade my desk space and wonder whether I shall ever be able to give each of them their due - an opportunity to express through their respective inks what my mind and wrists would compel them to flow ..

( Not a bad opening for the DAY, when all the flow is coming from punching squares )

Gone are those days of times gone by, when the possession of your first pencil and the GeomBox was such a prized gift to acquire .. the ‘rubber’ was the next most important element in our quest to have with us these important ingredients for School .. most times the ‘rubber’ was a somewhat decorative sized item , shaped differently for ease of its act, to rub away the wrongs the pencil would do .. it was made in different colors and had different qualities .. we matched them with the others in Class, with a sense of superiority .. if we had 2 pencils we were the kings of the entire educational system .. and to see someone with a glass full of pencils was like a visit to the moon .. my Father had such .. and on occasion I had dared to pinch one of them, at the cost of being caught and been given a whack and a punishment for the stealth !!

And then one fine day came the promotion to Class IV, or was it Class III, I do not recollect .. when the rule from the Class Teacher was that all written work would now be addressed in ink .. and the usage of a pen was introduced to us, wide eyed students, who had waited impatiently for the day to arrive ..!

So off we went to our most favoured Pen Store in Civil Lines in Allahabad - NAGAR’s .. who’s shop housed all the different kinds of pens and inks and material that we would now compulsorily be using  .. WHAT A DELIGHT !!

That first pen was your best friend .. new, shiny, filled with ink, ink bottle by the side, a swap cloth to wipe away the excess ink after filling the pen for its use .. and the minimal use it being put to, in case it was overworked !! You went to bed with it by your side .. waking up several times at night to check whether it was still there .. and then the pride of carrying it to School and Class and showing it off to the other fellow students .. and the ‘come down’ on discovering that yours was not the best around, there were other classmates who had better ones .. 

So the pen remained with you right till you finished School and after ..

And then one fine day just when your University days were getting over, came the Ball Pen .. and the wonder and excitement of its qualities .. I mean how could there be a pen where you did not have to fill ink into ..

And then marker pens and highlighter pens and all kinds of different sizes and colours and designs .. which abound even today .. 

My desk is adorned by many such .. and I do use them more than that much glorified ink pen .. 

BUT .. truth be told .. the ink pen still has its presence of quality and class .. the different shapes and sizes of its nib .. the various custom made and designer gifted pens, elegantly packed, literature of its manufacturing and its history chronicled .. and a complete delight to be in its presence ..

That feel of ink on paper .. the sound of the scratch against the nib .. at times the blotting paper blotter by the side .. so so wonderful and giver of so much happiness ..

TO NOW .. when all that the ink and the pen and pencil could do, is done at the punch of a button and the opening and stimulating of an App.,

I still look at my variety of writing utensils with admiration .. at times it becomes the butt of sarcastic humour by visitors .. “ that looks like a very busy person ..”  “ do you actually get to use all of them ..” .. “do they all work” ..

Yes .. they all work .. and they all get sufficient attention from me during the course of a week or a month .. not always in my communication with some of you, my Ef .. but yes, I do use them .. and I love them ..

The GeomBox and the ‘divider’ and the ‘compass’ and the ‘rubber’ and ‘sharpener’ have long lost its value .. but they still remain a part of memory .. today’s generation shall perhaps not give it much value .. much like what the generation in another 20 years shall perhaps not know what a newspaper looked like, or indeed any printed matter .. perhaps .. though I somehow feel it may never happen .. that early morning exercise of unfolding the large pages of the newspaper .. the smell of a recently purchased best seller as you thumb through the pages .. perhaps shall never be lost to the generations to come .. perhaps .. 

Good night and happiness to all as I sign off with an inked impression of my name .. puched however through that black square bearing white alphabets !!

How I made my pencil case!

***DISCLAIMER: while making this, i wasn’t 100% focused on making a tutorial, and only took photos when i remembered! so this isn’t very detailed!

Skill level: medium-ish? you can look up tutorials on certain sewing techniques if you want it to be more refined!

I’m not very good at explaining, so if you look at the original photos i posted, it should help consolidate what i say!

look under the cut!

what you need!:

- 2 different fabrics that go with eachother!

- elastic

- thin cardboard

- a zipper

- button clasp thingos

- pins, scissors, ruler, thread

if you have a sewing machine, use that! or not, you’ll have to hand sew (or you could try hot glue but idk)

STEP 1: I made a ‘normal’ pencil case pouch using this tutorial on youtube! but i changed the measurements, so instead of measuring a perfect square, i made my pouch around 20cm x 30 cm! and that’s part 1 done!

STEP 2: next, i cut a piece of cardboard out (measuring the width of the pouch and adding on a bit) (idk what my measurements were here soz) and then i glued the plain fabric around the cardboard! (TIP: put a heavy book on top to keep it flat and wrinkle free!) 

next, i cut another piece of the patterned material around the same size of the pouch (but doubled so i could fold it over!) and then glued that together, because this is going to make the flap that holds pens! (put that under the textbook too). I then made another, but i didn’t glue it in half (which made the part which housed the ‘other’ things (scissors etc.))

STEP 3: once the small piece was dry, i began sewing the elastic to make the pen loops! i’m sure you could find a better tutorial for this but i just kinda winged it (why its crooked) (you can use pens to measure how big you want them! (but a bit tighter so the pen doesnt fall through))

Then i started sewing loops onto the other piece, big enough to fit a gluestick, scissors, a ruler etc. in!

STEP 4: i then went back to my sewing machine, and i sewed a border around the fabric covered cardboard. Then i sewed the two long sides of the puch down (so a small notebook could fit behind)

STEP 5: Then i sewed the two long sides of the ‘stationery supplies’ down on the opposite end, keeping the top and bottom open. Then, i sewed the pen holder bit down, only on the left side, so it was a flap.

STEP 6: On a last minute decision, i ‘hemmed’ around the outside of the cardboard to make it neater! to make the back part to hold post it notes, i just sewed a straight line across the back!

STEP 7: To make the flap, i just cut a piece of spare fabric out, and sewed it to the back! i then went in (hand-stitching) and sewed the metal clasps to the flap and the front of the pencil case! (again, you could probably find a better tutorial for this part)

And i’m pretty sure that’s it! i cant think of anything else i did - so if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Ashleigh Wayne Fic AU Masterlist

A Simple Bet

~1200 words

Major Characters: Ashleigh Wayne (OC), Cassie Sandsmark

Minor Characters: Bruce Wayne, Diana Prince

When Cassie suggests that her, and Ashleigh have a sparring session, Ash happily accepts

Ash stepped out of the Zeta onto the Watchtower. She was immediately approached by Cassie. "Your late."

"Aren't I always?"

She ignored the bad joke. "What took you so long?"

"Had to stop to get something," she handed a small blue flower to Cassie, "it reminded me of you."

"How so?"

"It's pretty."

"You're so corny," she commented as she reached up, and delicately placed the flower into Ash's hair, "it matches your suit better though."

"If I'd known you were just going to give it back, I'd have picked one for each of us."

"Where'd you find it anyway?"

"When I was headed to the Zeta I spotted it in someone's garden."

"Ashleigh!"

"They won't miss one."

"Who is being a bad influence on you? When I met you wouldn't even take a pencil without asking."

She gave Cassie a sly grin. "Maybe it's you."

"Like hell it is. Jason? Harper?"

"Come on," she laughed, walking by Cassie towards the training room.

"Bruce, and Diana are waiting for us."

"Of course they are."

They rushed through the station to the training room where their mentors were waiting.

Bruce's gaze met Ash's, then moved up. "Batgirl, what's in your hair?"

She quickly took the flower out. "Sorry, Boss."

"It's alright," Diana said, "You two beat get started, "Guy has been asking to use this room, and Bruce is one are you done yet away from knocking him out."

"Is that a  bad thing?" Cassie asked.

"Go."

The two were headed in when Bruce's voice stoppes them in their tracks. "Batgirl."

She turned to him. "Yes?"

"Do you want me to hold that?" He asked, gesturing to the flower.

She handed to him. "Yes please."

The two made there way in, and stood face to face, only a few metres between them.

Ash glanced up at the one way glass overlooking the arena, she knew Bruce, and Diana were watching them. "B told me when he spars with Diana he had bruises for months."

"I'm not on Diana's level," Cassie assured her.

"And I'm not on B's."

"I'll go easy on you."

"Don't."

"You'll regret that."

"I regret most decisions I make."

"I can never tell when your joking."

Ash just smiled at her. "Ready?"

"Ready."

"Three, two, one."

As soon as the word left Ash's mouth, Cassie lunged at her. Ash barely dodged her first punch, but Cassie was ready as Ash dodged straight into her other fist. She flew back, and hit the ground.

Ash was sure Cassie was majorly holding back, she'd been hit harder by Duke, and Carrie. She tossed a batarang at Cassie, who blocked it effortlessly, though it gave Ash time to get to her feet.

Ash had watched Cassie fight more times then she could count, most of the time her first strategy was to hit it hard, and see if it falls down, and if that failed, hit it harder. Ash knew Cassie wouldn't hit her too hard, but her main goal was still to avoid her puches at all cost.

Bruce had offered Ash advice on how to have a chance against Cassie, but she chose to reject the offer, she'd rather figure it out herself, learn from observing, and Bruce agreed.

Ash hadn't expect the fight to be easy, nor did she expect to win, but she wanted to put up a fight.

She quickly realized that most of hee gadgets were either easily blocked, avoided, or just ineffective.

It wasn't long before Ash began getting tired. She suddenly felt her arms get pinned to her side as she was dragged off her feet. Cassie's lasso was wrapped around her.

Cassie began pulling her closer. "Give up?"

Ash tried to dig her heels into floor, but to no prevail. She struggled to get out of the bindings. "Give me a second."

Ash was at Cassie's feet now. She placed a foot on her chest. "It's over, Ash."

She smirked. "Really?"

Ash kicked Cassie's other foot, she yelped as she fell backwards, and let go of the lasso. Ash quickly freed herself, and picked up the lasso.

Cassie was back on her feet. She grinned. "You don't know how to use that, do you?"

"No idea," Ash admitted, though she tied it securely to her belt, she  didn't know how to use it, but keeping it out of Cassie's hands would hopefully give her a small advantage. Ash made a mental note to have someone teach her how to use a lasso later.

The two continued fighting, Ash getting plenty of hits in, but as far as she could tell none really did much. As for Cassie's punchs, Ash felt those, everyone of them.

Eventually both began to tire of the backs and forth, Cassie hit Ash hard, and she flew back, hitting the wall, and falling to the ground. "That hurt," she mumbled to herself.

Ash got to my feet, but immediately was swept off them again by Cassie's kick. She pinned Ash's wrist above her head. "Now it's over."

"You gotta hold me here for ten seconds."

She rolled her eyes, and began to count slowly. She was clearly confident Ash couldn't escape. "Ten... nine... eight... seven-"

Ash struggled to move her arms or legs but both were solidly pinned.

"Six... five... four-"

As a last resort Ash headbutted Cassie. She immediately realized that mistake, it felt like headbutting a brick wall.

"Three... two... one, and a half... one, and a quarter."

Ash sighed. "Now you're just teasing."

"One," Cassie stated as she got off of Ash, and helped her to her feet, "you okay?"

Ash pulled her cowl back, and rubbed her temple. "Headache."

"That was a dumb idea."

"Thanks, I realize that now."

She kissed Ash's forehead. "Better?"

"The headache, no, my feelings, yes," Ash said as she handed Cassie her lasso, "this is yours."

"I'm actually surprised you got out of it."

"Why didn't you shock me?"

"It was a sparring session, I wasn't going to shock you, plus isn't your suit insulated?"

"Yeah, but your lasso is magic."

"I still think your suit would help."

"Want to try?"

She tied the lasso to her hip. "No."

"Fine."

"Looks like your paying for dinner tonight."

"Looks like it."

The two made their way out of the sparring room, where both their mentors were waiting.

"You did well," Diana stated, "both of you."

"Thank you."

Batman placed an arm around Ash. "Let's get the doctors to look you over."

"I'm fine, I swear."

"You just fought a Wonder, trust me, something is bruised."

"Do you still have my flower?" Ash asked as the two walked off.

He pulled the flower out of one of his pouches. "Of course."

"Thank you, she said as she placed the flower back in her hair.

"You did better then you thought you would."

"She went easy on me."

"You went easy on her."

"It wouldn't have made a difference."

"When will you accept that you are actually good at this?"

She ignored his question. "Can you show me how you use a lasso?"

"I figured you'd ask, will Cassie not show you?"

"I wouldn't ask."

"Course I can, after you get checked over."

This is another fic thats been mostly finished for a while now but I’ve finally gotten round to finishing, and I am quite happy with it. I’m not great at writing prolonged fights so this was difficult, but I think it’s alright. Im trying to keep these little bits on the end kinda short, and I tend to just want to yabber on about different things in this AU, but I’m trying to keep it things related to this fic, not that I have much to say about this one, it was just a fun idea I had. Maybe I should make a post just yabbering on about my current plans for this fic? Regardless, I hope you enjoyed this one, and come back to check out another - Blue

I was awake. It's 4am and I am awake. I shouldn't be. I should get enough sleep. But I can't. The only thing I can do now is to get up and watch a bit tv. There wasn't anything interesting so I decided that I could use the time to think of a Plan B if something goes wrong. I mean I hope it doesn't but you never really know. From what I heard from Taehyun there are ten emergency exits und someone will wait in a car behind one of those doors. I hope that I am able to run in heels because that is going to b-

*Ring Ring Ring* My phone ringed. I looked at the caller ID. Dara.

'Hello?' 'Good morning sweetie' 'Morning?' 'You know Hyuna, it is tecnically morning. Now is everything ok?' 'Eh... yes. How did you know that I was awake?' 'I know you Hyuna. You're always like this when you're unsure about a mission and have doubts.' 'Oh.' Was the only thing I said. 'The only thing I can say is that you have to trust your heart. Because then you will make the right decisions.' 'I hope so. But.... Dara, you know I am kind of scared. What if I can't complete the mission. What if I am going to ruin everything. What if-' 'No what if's Hyuna. You can do it, I believe in you. The whole team believes in you. And if I ever hear you doubting your skills again I am going to come over and whoop your ass young lady.'

She sounded just like a mother.   She actually kind of is because Dara is much more older and mature than me (She's already 30) and whenever I needed an advice or was helpless or felt down she was always there by my side and helped me. And I want to make her proud by successfully finishing the mission.

Everyone was in the meetig room at the SHQ. T.O.P, Lisa, B.I, Junhoe, Taehyun, Mino and I. T.O.P started talkin: Hello everyone, today is the day. Our top priority is to ge to the safe and complete the mission Mr.Lee gave us seuccessfully. B.I, Mino and I will be waiting at the SHQ. We will monitor everything and also hack in the security system of the bank. Taehyun and Lisa will wait in a black SUV outside of the bank. Now to you Hyuna, you will go in the bank and try to get an ID. You go directly to the receptionist and tell him that you're there for a job. We already applied for you. The receptionist will show you around in the building and when you are alone with him you make him unconcious. After you did that you get his ID and make your way to the safe. Ypu can only go through the first gate beacuse that one only requires an ID. The problem is the second gate because there has Mr Seo Jang Hoon his thugs and they let nobosy pass except Mr.Seo himself. That's why you're going to enter the safe through the ventilation shaft. You can't do that with you're normal clothes, that's why Junhoe is going to give you new ones, dressed as a janitor. You go in there, get what's in the safe and then get out ther immediately before you get caught. Did everyone understood their job?'

We all nodded. 'Good, then the mission may start.'

I looked one last time in the mirror. My outfit is perfect. I'm wearing a white blouse with a black pencil skirt and black heels. Through an earpiece I am hearing everything that T.O.P, Mino and B.I are saying. I make my way to the front door of the National Bank. Now there's no way back. On my way to the reception. I try to look as confident as possible.

'Now, the man at the front is called Kim Heechul, go to him and say that you're here for the new job as the secretary for Seo Janghoon.'T.O.P told me.

'He's also quite a flirt so better watch out.'B.I added. I walked over to said person.

'Hello, my name is Kim Hyuna and I am here for the job as Mr. Seo Jang Hoon's secretary.''Hello, doll'He eyed me from the bottom to the top until his eyes reached my breasts and he arched an eyebrow. I was already disgusted from him. 'So you wanna be the next secretary huh? Want a hint to get the job?
