I was originally planning on having the disassemblers' weapons come out of their wings but it uh- wasn't cooperating 💀

I had already been thinking about adding legs to their designs but this was the first time I actually tried drawing it

Shingo Tamai è un personaggio che ci ricordiamo in pochi e @andsomefoolishstuff è uno di questi (se pensate che Holly e Benji siano il cartone più assurdo sul calcio è perché non avete mai visto i Superboys).

Snoopy me lo ha chiesto quella tenerona di @mylifeasaburrito che spero sia sopravvissuta alla quarantena insieme alla prole.

Lubna di Ranxerox me l’ha chiesta @gladiatore66 gran bel personaggio che molti non conosceranno. Ammetto di aver faticato a trovare delle references, spero ti piaccia lo stesso, Gladiatore.

Infine la Principessa Mononoke me l’ha chiesta @vvaerjs che così mi ha permesso di chiudere la terza Six Fanart Challenge.

Un día como hoy, pero hace 89 años, nació Joaquin Salvador Lavado Tejón, mejor conocido como Quino. Un 17 de julio de 1932, en Mendoza, Argentina. Fue un Célebre humorista gráfico e historietista. Reconocido por su famosa tira cómica Mafalda, que publicó entre 1964 y 1973, la cuál se tradujo a más de 30 idiomas. Un genio del humor gráfico que a día de hoy, su tiras siguen teniendo vigencia. -Sin embargo y personalmente, prefiero el otro humor de Quino- Estos trabajos, los realicé para homenajear a Quino en una exhibición virtual que reunía a un reducido grupo de humoristas gráficos dominicanos tras su muerte. Sin embargo no formé parte ya que mis piezas nunca llegaron a exponerse. Pero aprecié muchísimo la invitación. Creo que ningún humorista gráfico de este tiempo podría decir a estas alturas, que no ha tenido influencia del trabajo de Quino, obviamente es mi apreciación personal. Si no tienes una influencia directa, la pudieses tener indirectamente, incluso tomar influencias de otro artista que sí tiene influencia "Quinescas" -Me acabo de inventar esa palabra...Creo- En mi caso, la obra insignia que me hizo querer ser humorista gráfico no fue Mafalfa, fue Calvin and Hobbes de Bill Watterson, luego Penauts de Charles M. Schulz y luego Quino, pero no Mafalda, sino su otro humor, su casi veintena de libros recopilatorios de sus chistes y críticas sociales con poco texto "Potentes, prepotentes o impotentes" "Yo no fui" "Mundo Quino" "A mi no me grite" "que presente tan impensable" "gente en su sitio" "que mala es la gente" y todos sus otros libros. Después entonces, obviamente Mafalda. En mis inicios, comencé creando tiras cómicas con personajes fijos y recurrentes, no fue hasta años después que decidí hacer viñetas sueltas y muchísimo tiempo después, humor político. Que ya esa es otra historia con sus propias influencias, dónde también baila Quino. Aprendí mucho de Quino, de sus entrevistas en YouTube. Un hombre simple, que dejó un legado inquebrantable. Elisa!!!!! You did phan art of them as Charlie Brown and Lucy!!! On the piano no less!! I love it so so much! I adored the Peanuts growing up and this is such a neat crossover (if you can call it that). And it’s so pretty and you captured the cartoon style of the original art but somehow still made it feel like your art and like DnP! Thank you so much for creating and sharing this art!!

Wahhh thank you!!! I wanna draw more of them as penauts it was one of my favorite comic strips when I was a kid! It’s so very cute 🥺 Lucy and Shroeder made sense because of the piano and this was the comic reference I used for the drawing!
