“ Where the bloody hell... “ Keeping his eyes open was hard and no matter how many times he blinked, it didn’t make a difference. Nausea was clawing at him and for a moment or two he suspected he’d throw up - but only bile was scorching his gullet. The magi was caught in a coughing fit soon after and could only weakly lean against the iron bars as soon as it was over.

He felt horrible.

Maybe it wasn't the best idea for the small prince to be fishing so close to Sindria's edge, his small boat bobbing in the gentle waves by the mountain range surrounding his home. But he'd followed a particular school of fish out there, and there was no way he was going back home without it!

The only problem? Every fish he'd pulled up had been way too small, which resulted in him giving his newest – and tiniest – catch a dejected look. Maybe it was the bait he was using... He wasn't scaring them, so where had all the big fish gone?

“Y' ate y' big cousins, didn't y'?” No luck, the fish just wriggled at him, tail whipping at his hand and forcing him to throw it back with a yelp. “I'm gon' remember that!” Ugh... Where were the bigger fish?

"Juuuuuuuu!" Whining, Nadir clung onto the other's neck. Not enough to hurt, but strong enough to make his presence well known. "Ju, what do you think of my new outfit?"

The blonde stepped back and twirled with a smile, showing off his Kou-esque clothing. He donned a light blue and black top, connected to the black pants with a deep purple obi. Nadir laughed. "See? Nice, right?"

“Don’t be ridiculous... You and I both know you don’t have to be physically imposing as a magician to protect the ones we care about.  If anything, you should know that pretty well,” She gave a poke to his lean form and a smile.

Happy?  Unlikely.. but she had to tell herself that her family being pleased her for becoming a valuable asset to Kou was just enough for her, no matter what Judar did he couldn’t take that away... well except one thing, but even he couldn’t dream of being that terrible and sabotaging his own Empire and the royals he served just to make her miserable forever.

Kourin tried to take her hand back and turned her head away she he couldn’t see her expression, flinching from the contact that was much too close, “Even you wouldn’t be so reckless as to ruin an asset to Kou...  Not for something as petty as your own wicked whims.”

This was the first time Ayana had really gotten the chance to spend time outside since she became Kouen’s personal slave. Deciding to take a seat under a peach tree that was out in the garden, staring up at the clouds.

So far she had been trying to simply keep her head down and stay out of people’s way and keep out of trouble so she hadn’t made any connections with anyone or gotten to know anyone outside the people she saw daily like Kouen’s other personal attendants and Kouen himself. So when she saw Judal getting closer to her little resting spot she couldn’t help being curious and nervous at the same time, wondering just who this person was.

Just a breath of a whisper danced on her skin, the smell of incense burning her nose as he leaned in, all too close. The corner of his lips turned up in a twisted smile, and he hummed as he tilted into her hair, taking a small inhale to relish the dainty perfume before speaking. "I will make sure you are forever alone."

She flinches when he draws closer, eyes going blank for the hurtful things their magi was bound to say and always did... His presence like ice in her blood, stinging her emotionally and physically each time he came to her.  

Kourin bit her lip, heart racing with the contact that should have been affectionate: this sort should only be reserved for a lover after all especially since no one was allowed to lay a hand on her in this manner... But he was their magi: his status surpassing her own as one of the few people who could look down on her and hurt her if he so wished.  

His words though are surprisingly the most cruel, hands shaking as they hid beneath her sleeves and a tear drop formed in one of her bright pink eyes surrounded by long lashes.  She exhales, determined not to let him think he had the authority to carry out that sinister promise.

The seventh princess reaches a small hand out onto his chest to push him away, “You can’t... I have a purpose and you’ll have no part of it...”

Judar ganced down to the rope around his slim form, looking to the pink haired male who had wrapped it around his body. His eyebrow rose, looking confused.

“What do you think you’re doing?” He asked, a little bit of playfulness in his voice.

"What I think I am doing?" Kouha parroted with a giggle and continued to wrap the rope around Judar. "I think," he mused and snorted, "I think I am putting a rope around you?"

“Ah, I’m so sorry!”  She panics, having been in a hurry to retrieve scroll she needed for her new magic theory and opened the door quickly with no regard for who might have been passing by.  Yamuraiha drops what she’s holding and crouches down to hover over him like an overprotective parent.  Times like this she wished she knew more life magic since she couldn’t very well take an enemy of their country to the infirmary...

“Here,” She kneels next to him and wraps an arm around his waist and ducking under his own so he can latch onto her shoulder, coaxing him off the ground on the injured side so he wouldn’t have to put his weight on the foot, “Come on, you can lay down in my room... Please let me make this up to you,”
