Chapter 4

The restaurant was a short drive from the hotel. The outside of the building was cast in bright lights to attract customers. BRUNOS was in bright orange against the red brick of the building.

The host lead you both to your table, Shane, the guard with dark hair, stands outside the restaurant and Stanley stays against the nearest wall to your table. The lighting is dim, lights hang low over the tables. Quiet classical music plays in the background.

Mr. Baek pulls out your chair before sitting across from you, a table for two. Your boss is dressed in simple black slacks, a white shirt and a black tie. You note his lack of a jacket.

Maybe his hunter abilities make his body temperature run hot?

A young woman approaches your table, clothing all black, her blonde hair held back with a headband.

“Hello, welcome to Brunos. Can I start you off with a drink?” Her notepad is ready to take your order.  

You and Baek lock eyes before looking at the menu.

“I’ll have your strongest liquor, straight.” Baek huffs.

“And for you?”

“I’ll have a glass of water, with lemon. Um, what wine do you have?” You look up to the blonde woman as she flips through her notepad.

“We have over 100 choices of wine. Do you prefer white, red, or rose?” Your eyes grow wide at the comment.

What type of place did Mr. Baek choose?

“Rose is my go to.”

“We have a pink Moscato, peach Moscato-“

“I’ll try the peach Moscato please!” Peaches were your absolute favorite fruit growing up. You hope the wine will do it justice.

“Absolutely. Will this be together or separate?”

“Together.” Mr. Baek interjects, sending you a look so that you don’t argue with him.

It’s not like I could pay for myself anyway.

“Amazing. My name is Nicole. Don’t yell if you need me.” She walks away, leaving you both in silence.

Your eyes are on the menu, not aware of your boss taking in your figure.

His eyes trail down from your hair to your face. Your makeup that you applied accentuates the color of your eyes, your lipstick makes your lips look plump and juicy.

He looks to your neck where your fragrant aroma has been flooding his nose. Your black dress accentuates your cleavage.

Baek stops his thoughts from wondering, noting something else about you.

Your eyes look happy again. Yes, he knows you applied makeup, but your iris’ are shining again. You’re not slouching your shoulders either, a noticeable difference from the airport.

Baek heard you on the phone with Jean before he knocked on your door. Maybe she cheered you up over the situation with your boyfriend.

“What are you thinking about getting?” You look up, catching your boss already looking at you.

“I was going to ask you the same thing.”

Smooth recovery. Baek internally rolls his eyes.

I can’t keep ogling over my assistant.

“Oh, I was thinking of the seafood sampler! Cooked oysters, sea scallops, and lobster over a lemon risotto.” You read the items off the menu, giving Baek a chance to glance over the menu and to pick a random item.

“The…” Baek hesitates on the pronunciation of the item. “It’s the last one of the front of the menu. How do you pronounce that?”

“Filet mignon?”

“Yeah, that one. I’ll get that.”

“You do realize it comes with two orders of vegetables, right?” Baek sighs, reading through his choice.

“I’ll try something new tonight.” He looks up at your knowing face.

Baek hates vegetables. Especially in their whole form.

“No, you’re not.” You call your boss on his bluff.

“I will. In fact, I’ll get the asparagus and the sautéed spinach.” You look at your boss, unimpressed.

The last time you both ate a meal together; it was after 12 hours of meetings following a few unsuccessful raids. The ramen place you went to wasn’t customizable, you chose your broth and got what you got. You ordered the miso base, your boss ordered the pork base.

Your bowl was clean, your boss left all of the veggies in the bowl.

“You’re going to go hungry if you don’t get something else. Lets order a starter too.”

Once Nicole returns with your drinks, she takes your orders before reappearing with your appetizers.

Braised ribs with a mushroom sauce sit in front of Baek as the fresh break basket sits in front of you.

You split the appetizers, enjoying the comfortable silence as the food settles in your stomachs.

Soon, your meals arrive, you glass of wine and Baek’s bar glass stays full. The conversation flows from both of you, the alcohol easing your jaws.

“The convention opens at 8 tomorrow, its in the center attached to the hotel. Plan on being ready around 7:30.” Baek finishes off his steak, the spinach and asparagus growing cold on his plate.

“Of course. Is there a dress code?”

“Comfortable shoes.”

“Understood.” You pull out your phone and set your alarm for 6:00 in the morning. At the rate you’re drinking, when you end up in your bed you will fall asleep immediately.

Baek says your name, pulling your attention back to your boss.

“I saw the hotel has a hot tub. Would you like to join me when we get back?” You notice his face is slightly flush.

Probably from the alcohol.

“Sure! I’m glad I remembered to bring a bikini.” You smile falters as you remember which bikini you packed.

Baek asks for Nicole and gets your bill, along with the rest of your wine.

Once Nicole walks away with her big tip, Baek stands up and helps you out of your own chair. He offers his arm and escorts you through the restaurant and in to the waiting car.

Returning to the hotel, you both move to your separate rooms and get changed.

You are very happy to have packed a bikini and cover up with you. You did pack in preparation for anything.

You remember last wearing this bikini in the states, back when you first met Logan.

You scoff to yourself and strip from your clothes.

The bikini is tan with black lace accents. You made sure to match the bikini material to your own skin tone.

A thought crosses your head. Your bikini might be too revealing to wear around your boss. On the other hand, you didn’t pack any other options, so you were stuck with this one.

Moving to the bathroom, you look at yourself in the mirror.

You adjust the material of your top, noticing your breasts have shrunk since you last wore this bikini.

Frowning, you turn to the side for further inspection. The weight of your breats spill out slightly from the bottom cups.

You adjust the strings around your neck to be longer, giving you at least a smidge more modesty.

After washing your face, you slide on your plain coverup, slip on sandals, and step out of your room

Your boss is walking down the hallway towards you, a boyish grin on his face. In his hands is your half empty bottle of wine, and a wine glass.

“You trying to keep me drunk?” You tease, looping your arm with his extended elbow.

“It’s the first time in a long time that I can see you’re genuinely happy. I’d like to see it for as long as possible tonight.” Your heart is touched by is words.

Other than Jean, Mr. Baek has been the only person to show that he cares about you through his words and actions.

“I’d like that too.” You both exit the elevator and walk through the lobby.

You hum along with the song playing through the speakers.

“What’s this one called?” Baek asks as he guides you both to the pool room.

“Sailor Song by Gigi Peres. I think it’s a beautiful song.” You resume humming as Baek opens the door for you to enter.

You wish for a love to find you like the one Gigi is singing about. A passionate love, where they can’t stand to be away from another for too long.

The pool room is humid and to your surprise, does not smell of chlorine.

Three of the 4 walls are glass and show the busy world. The pool is a nice size, gradually sloping from a shallow to deep end.

The hot tub that Baek was so interested in trying was tucked into the glass corner of the room. Chairs and tables are spread throughout the area.

You’re a little surprised that it’s just the both of you here. It’s not that late, the sun is set but the time is only 8:30 pm.

You pour yourself a glass of the Peach Moscato before taking off your coverup.

You don’t realize your face turns sour as you look at your reflection in the windows.

“Will you be joining me?” Shaken from your thoughts, you turn to see Baek standing in the hot tub. His shirt is off, his hand outstretched, waiting to assist you into the hot tub.

Heat rises to your face, internally scoffing at yourself for getting excited over the washboard abs of your boss.

“Mr. Baek here is the chairman of the White Tiger Guild in Korea!” You smiled, gesturing to your boss.

Dp Oc Parade Event - Draw Someone Else's Oc Part 2

Howdy.

Okay, so I know this event has ended, and that's fine and all... but I got a thing I worked on and that is others ocs.

I noticed that in the event, for the 7th day, a lot of people ended up not getting their ocs drawn by someone else. So I combed through the blog to figure out who didn't get their ocs drawn and, well I drew them.

I do know about half of the participants haven't made posts for the 7th day yet, and I would have waited until that got through so I'd know for sure, but I'm on Spring Break rn (well today's the last day) and I had the time to do this, so I went ahead and did it.

Hey, it could give inspirations to others on who to draw, or not. There were tons of awesome ocs in this event, I know it's hard to choose.

SWEU Fanon Codex: Red Zabrak in the Sith Empire

Thousands of years before the first Zabrak colonists crash landed on Dathomir, when the Nightbrothers and their kin had yet to exist, Force-sensitive Zabrak with bright red or orange skin could be found throughout the galaxy. These Zabrak owed their similar traits to their relationship with the Tsis, or ancestral Sith species, and their destinies were linked with the Sith Empire's long and bloody history.

I. Origins

During the early days of the Sith Empire, as it expanded within the isolated Stygian Caldera region, the Sith attempted to conquer and enslave worlds that had previously been settled by Iridonian Zabrak explorers, but they didn’t expect the local resistance - which was largely Force-blind - to put up as much of a fight as it did. In this clash between two warrior cultures, the Zabraks’ tenacity eventually earned the grudging respect of the larger Imperial army.

The Sith lords eventually decided that they were wasting resources on the war, and would be better off taking the locals as their servants and their lands as fiefdom than bombarding them into oblivion. Thus the first treaties were drawn up, with their terms leaning greatly in the Empire's favor. Most Zabrak clans, unwilling to admit defeat but exhausted by the war, agreed to join the Empire after several revisions to their terms. Those who refused were enslaved or executed, their lands confiscated and divided among the Sith and their new vassals.

Many Zabrak followed their new lords to the Sith homeworlds, including Korriban, Ziost, and the Dromund system. During the ages of the Great Hyperspace War and the Empire's fall and reconstitution, its Zabrak diaspora continued to grow. By the time of the Cold War, they had thoroughly intermingled with the last remaining Tsis and their Human-hybrid Red Sith successors, becoming their own hybrid people, the Red Zabrak.

II. Biology

While they share many traits with their Iridonian cousins, the Red Zabrak population has inherited notable Tsis features that are expressed to varying degrees in each individual.

Iridonian-inherited traits:

near-human height and generally fit build

vestigial horns that appear in the first few years of life, and grow in symmetrical patterns on the crown of the head

less hair than most mammalian species; no eyebrows or facial hair, often naturally bald

two hearts and resilient cardiovascular and nervous systems, resulting in greater stamina and a slightly higher pain threshold than many other near-human species

pronounced canine teeth and a metabolism optimized for a carnivorous diet

darkened camouflage striping or inkblot patterns that fade during adolescence, upon which tattoos are traditionally based

Tsis-inherited traits:

skin colors varying from burgundy through red, orange, and peach, similar to Red Sith in complexion and always more ruddy than Iridonian Zabrak

“bleeding” effect of a bright red ring around the iris, a partial expression of the Tsis species’ characteristic glowing eyes

heightened midichlorian levels and increased chance of Force sensitivity

Occasionally, Red Zabrak will display subtle, angular ridges across their skin. Though generally less noticeable than in Red Sith, these ridges have influenced their iconic face and body tattoos, which are a fusion of traditional Iridonian and Sith ritual tattoos that incorporate various symbols to convey clan affiliation and personal stories, and are often designed to outline and enhance any observable Tsis traits.

Bone spurs and cartilaginous tendrils, however, are recessive traits that were lost in most of the Red Zabrak population after first-generation hybrids. These traits, like the aforementioned ridges, appear with more frequency in Human-hybrid Red Sith due to both the selectiveness of the Sith elite, and the quirks of Tsis genetics.

III. Society

While Red Zabrak citizens are nominally equal with all free beings in the Empire, in practice they are second-class citizens compared to Red Sith and Humans, though with societal privilege above other nonhuman species, including Iridonian Zabrak. Scholarly opinion on the merit of their Sith blood weighed against their nonhuman heritage is mixed. Their treatment is comparable to that of the Chiss, but as ancient dependencies of the Empire rather than newfound foreign allies. Meanwhile, in Republic space, they are often viewed with distrust, if not outright detested by Iridonians as traitors to their species. Due to vows of fealty that were sworn when their clans first joined the Empire, many are bound to the ancient Red Sith aristocracy as vassals, with all that entails.

Family ties are vital in both Zabrak and Sith cultures, and the two have become inextricably entangled over their centuries together. The Zabrak openly regard their accomplishments in the Sith Empire as a point of pride and their allegiance as a concession that made both peoples stronger; according to their officially sanctioned history, the Sith definitively proved their superiority in the arena of war, and have remained worthy of following in their exploits to the present day.

Despite the Empire's tendencies towards forced assimilation, the clans have held onto some of their autonomy as agreed upon in their treaties - particularly to organize for cultural events, such as the yearly coming-of-age ceremony in which teenagers traditionally receive their first tattoos, after several days of combat sports, storytelling, and feasting. Large clan gatherings are required to be open to the public, and are routinely monitored by Imperial security forces, but are among the freest cultural expressions in the Empire outside Mandalorians.

Most young Red Zabrak end up in careers that will further the agendas of their affiliated Sith Houses - often the same ones their ancestors swore fealty to when the first treaties divided them among the Sith. Choosing a marriage or career that one’s clan or House disapproves of, or siding with a rival, is to become a social outcast at best. Since the Sith hold the strings of the Empire, they can and will obstruct and manipulate the paths of their servants, and sweep impromptu executions under the rug, in the name of preserving their power bases. Systemic xenophobia in the Empire at large makes social mobility for Red Zabrak even more challenging without Sith aid.

Stereotyped as violent, stubborn, and simple-minded but ultimately honorable aliens, Red Zabrak often end up in military positions within the Empire, and frequently serve as enforcers and assassins to their affiliated Sith houses. Despite the setbacks they face, this tenacious people can be found throughout the Empire in higher positions and greater numbers than any other non-Human or Sith species.

I have this thought where, the more Porty changes, like the more different he becomes from Mk his eyes slowly start to change color into something that suits him more. (For some reason I like the idea of a pink porty)

I think mk's eyes would be the same color as the monkey king, a bit orange with gold iris's . So as porty changes, or the more time he spends away from the original his eyes turn black (could connect to magic or something idk) and his Iris's to a color that suits his personality.

Have you ever left your front door unlocked all night? Yeah.

Do you prefer cold or warm weather? I don't mind pleasantly warm weather, but I do prefer cold weather over summer heat.

The last advertisement you saw: What was it advertising? I don't recall.

Do you prefer bar or liquid soap? Liquid.

Do you wear any perfumes / colognes on a regular basis? I will occasionally wear coconut cream body butter, but I don't wear any perfumes or colognes.

Do you have high or low self esteem levels? It varies; there are times when I feel better about myself and times when I feel worse, but on average my self-esteem is fairly low.

When was the last time you listened to a song on repeat? What was the song? Idk.

How do you feel about being in the house alone? I don't mind being home alone, but it does get a bit boring and lonely after a while.

What was the last compliment you received? It was from Iris, one of the managers at the shelter, regarding a suggestion for Tootsie's kennel setup. Unfortunately, she is starting to decline, which has led to a couple of falls from her cat tree - that we have witnessed, anyway; which means it's probably happened more than what we've seen - so we swapped that out for a lower raised dog bed so she could still be off the ground without the potential for a dangerous spill.

Do you like mint or orange flavored chocolate? I do.

How often do you get spots? Like, pimples? I almost always have at least one pimple, but overall, my skin is pretty clear.

Do you believe that when your ears burn someone is talking about you? I have heard that before, but I don't think I ever believed anything like that.

Are you a good host when visitors come over or do you wish they’d leave? We don't normally have people over.

When was the last time you burnt your mouth from eating something too hot? I'm not sure.

What is your favorite foreign language to listen to? (In music or speech) When it comes to speech, probably Japanese. For music, maybe Swedish or German.

Do you prefer instrumental songs or ones with lyrics? I enjoy both and pretty much always listen to classical music while driving, but I would say I generally prefer songs with lyrics.

Name something simple that makes you happy. Mostly cloudy skies on summer days. It's only 74F right now and that's a huge relief compared to the last few days.

What is your favorite instrument to listen to? I'm actually not sure.

Do you carry a bag around with you often? What does it look like? I take a light gray backpack to the animal shelter and the mountain park and a small black bag to most other places.

What was the last book you read about? I'm currently reading the Bible and The Neverending Story, both of which probably need no explanation.

Did you dress up last Halloween? As what? I wore some cat ears and a matching bowtie to the animal shelter last Halloween, but haven't dressed up in a full costume for years.

Name one of your favorite memories. Backpacking days with my dad. Those will always hold a special place in my heart.

Are you a polite person? I try to be. I am somewhat shy and socially awkward, but hopefully my friendly demeanor makes up for that. I am rarely ever intentionally rude to someone.

So yeah! I'm now getting into the Super Mario fandom! I started getting into it after watching the Super Mario Bros. Movie, and I absolutely adored it too! (Mainly cuz of Bowser X3) To celebrate, here's my Mario OC, Princess Ophelia, the princess of the Arcane Isles! In my headcanon, the Arcane Isles is a kingdom full of magic and powerful witches, and Ophelia is the ruler of this kingdom!
