I am happy to share the art I made for the zines To Be Gentle and Peace Through Tyranny, hosted by @allsparkzines.

These are gifts for Peter Cullen and for Frank Welker, to celebrate their amazing work as voice actors for Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Thank you for letting me be part of it, it was a lovely opportunity to express my appreciation for the voices who have been giving life, for so many years, to this amazing characters.

Hello, i am cross posting from my instagram but have a look at some neat art I made. @allsparkzines hosted a couple zines for Peter Cullen and Frank Welker to honor them and this is my contribution for Frank's zine, Peace Through Tyranny. I would have also contributed for the Peter Cullen's zine, To Be Gentle, but did not have time to participate in both. Regardless, it was a very fun experience! Thank you for this opportunity!

Getaway is one the team leaders in Resurgence, with the other leader being Ultra Magnus. He's not exactly the best Captain, to his Titan or his crew... Clearly.

Some lore:

Phi Chrēstos (more popularly known as IDW's Peaceful Tyranny vessel), offered aid in reaching Earth with Team Psi's crew to offer a groundbridge to Team Alpha and return them to Cybertron, but Military forces met the vessel and shot it out of the sky.

In the nurse AU where Tarn has close/regular contact with High Comand what would finally push Tarn into Chalanging Overlord and puting the Phase Sixer out of his (and his Conjux's) misery? What would that look like? How do you view Formal Deceptacon Chalanges™️ going? Because you know Tarn would be protocoligoricly correct in how he went about this.

Tarn already done a Challenge after going over the extent of your injuries from Overlord's first "playing" attempts. It came to a draw because Megatron interrupted the bout as Tarn and Overlord were causing massive property damage, and neither mech was stopping soon.

And neither got want they wanted. Megatron ruled that Overlord was allowed access to the perimeter (Tarn wanted him gone. Preferably dead, but he'll take a restraining order in a pinch), but Phase Sixer wasn't allowed to physically touch you or the newsparks and that you're staying with the Justice Division (Overlord demanded for you to be transferred to him for a set amount of time).

Challenges derive from gladiatorial roots where mechs were able to "challenge" each other to take the limited resources, favors, or claims. Some can be light-headed more akin to a fierce spar on a bet on a timer. But the more serious bouts are basically fight until one surrenders or dies.

Because Overlord's focused attention is worrisome, especially in this weird new game. You have delved deep into toxins and medicinal concoctions to keep the mech down and developed an unfortunate fever from the stress of prolonged hyperviligence and constant testing. It doesn't help you've develop quiet night terrors and insomnia.

Tarn leaves a feverish you under Nickel's and Kaon's care because there's an officer meeting.

He returns to a massive SOS and finds you crushed beneath an unconscious Overlord in his own quarters.

By the sheer grace of active Seekerkin-coding, he prioritizes getting you immediate medical care rather than the gratification of sawing off Overlord's head because the extent of your injuries in your poor state had triggered an early emergence.

Tarn doesn't know to be impressed or appalled that you figure out a mechanism to aerosol potent toxins after triggering the emergency shut offs to seal off the ventilation systems.

Empyrean Suit is just such an impressive piece of music. Both concept and a melody itself. Created from a handful of notes in few comic panels and brought to life by fans in different interpretations, it's just fascinating and to listen to. Every variant has its unique charm, some more upbeat and orchestral, some more mournful and techno, some right in gloomy and suffocating, but all have in its core recognizable rhythm that connects them all. Those few scratches of notes that make Empyrean Suit what it is

A song that calms down, brings in the moment, sends into wistful dreamscape, melancholic and beautiful ode to past. Makes to think about what was, what could be and what is now. Simply wonderful experience

And to think such music originated from race of giant robotic aliens to celebrate past and eventually became a broadly recognizable leitmotif of famously sadistic decepticon group. It gives another layer to this incredible phenomenon of music. Once a beautiful melody, now annunciator of horrible death and a last thing that tortured spark hears before its end. Once created to celebrate history, now accompanied by screams of agony of those who fell victims to Decepticon Justice Division

“«The Empyrean Suit - The Fourth Movement». It's become our leitmotif, or, as Helix calls it, our theme song. It's said to be composed by Eucryphia to celebrate Prima's Citadel of Light. An ode to the grand duchies of Cybertron. A pean to the Thirteen Tribes.”

“Urgh. Still, as Megatron once said to me, even the debauched and fatuous society can, on occasion, produce something beautiful.”

my piece for @allsparkzines "Peace Through Tyranny" Megatron zine. i was inspired by the School of Athens by Raphael to make this piece. i've seen the actual piece in the Vatican and thought it would be a nice piece to recreate with Frank Welker's Transformers roles. when i was brainstorming for pieces to be inspired off of since i know i wanted to base my work off of renascence art, i looked back at my photos in the Vatican and got inspired to do the School of Athens for my work. be sure to keep your eyes open for it in the zine :)

this was a super fun zine to make a piece for and massive thanks to @kagebros for hosting it. i really enjoyed working on it and being involved with some incredible artists. It was a TON of fun and i'm forever grateful for having a spot in this project. <3

. Skybound, please. PLLLLLLLLLEEEEAAAAAASSSE. If ANY of them show up later-PLEASE do not write them off as soon as they do. I'm seeing potential here, especially in terms of, um, "visuals", if you know what I mean, for the Rainmakers specifically

. Take the Rainmakers' powers to the next level and let them literally rain hell down on their enemies. Idc if they only do it once in the entirety of the run I just wanna see how it looks

. Let them remain strictly loyal to Megs to add extra drama (esp. with Astrotrain) and raise the stakes

. If you need to write some of them off, my first choice for who gets to live is Misfire (idk to provide some comic relief plus he’s a fan fav)

. Second choice is Nova, fr. What a badass. In IDW2 they were canonically indestructible and sliced Sentinel Prime in half

. Like think of how much of a problem Nova could be in particular for the Autobots (cuz I haven't seen Windcharger yet lol)

. Imagine if they suddenly sprung out of lava to grab someone and drag them down

. Or took a fusion cannon blast to the face like it was a nice breeze

. I'm biased ok they're literally my profile (Nova does not smile often, but Reflector says thanks g for the geunine effort)

I keep misremembering singular words from setting wiki pages and then not realizing that i'm misremembering them until I've constructed labyrinthine head canons and large swaths of fan fiction under the mental pretense that what I was saying is grounded in actual canon. Worse, it also frequently is "canon" for something I haven't read through entirely yet so I don't want to look up too many details for and think that I'll be able to find more details on my weird little obsessions only to realize I literally made them entirely on my own.

All I will ever fucking have is what I fucking made up.

Even worse is the fact that I usually have all the discussions about shit like this with the people who wanted me to get into the media in the first place, and since it's singular word differences that have massive ramifications, they sometimes think what I'm saying is real too!!!

Which has a MASSIVE snowball effect where I assume they know more than me about this thing that doesn't exist so I assume there's more info on it that I can find later once I've read more, and they somehow believe me and talk about it like it exists even though it fucking doesn't and we both start constructing terribly intricate headcanons on the entirely false pretense that it's all real.

And then it fucking spreads. The web of deception grows. Its tendrils grasp at who knows how many from there.

Until I go to look it up again for one reason or another and go through the stages of "Oh, maybe I'm searching for it wrong" -> "Oh, maybe it just didn't get written down in the wiki" -> "Where is it?" -> "Oh my God, it never was real." and I have to sit with the fact that I have all this foundational setting shaping shit that only me and those in my fucking reality warping aura know about. I thought everyone knew about this. I thought I was the one who didn't know. I thought there would be more to learn.

All I will ever fucking have is what I fucking made up.

I truly live in a lucid dream within a tomb of treachery. You Are Being Deceived is all about the deceptions we allow ourselves to believe, and boy howdy am I being Deceived.

Fitting, because this time around it was the existence of the Matrix of Deception

At some point some wires got crossed between the Matrix of Conquest and the Matrix of Deception, I thought both were weird Shattered Glass things or perhaps one or the other was something brought up in a weird Transformers continuity that might have lasting ramification in the stuff I was reading... No, the Matrix of Deception never fucking existed.

I have So much lore surrounding the Matrixs (I am not calling them Matrices fuck off), I had assumed there were more than just those three, I had all these little theories about the thirteen primes...

And now they're not even theories. There are only two Matrixs, and they largely only exist in their own universes barring weird crossovers or SG invasions. My attempts to solve the mystery have warped into creating my own mystery to solve.

To my fucking credit, my wife is the main reason I bought into my own deception. She got me into Transformers and she is my primary motivating force to continue looking into it, and so when she thought it was real my descent was practically guaranteed.

But I'm entering the next inevitable stage, the "Did I Do That?" stage, with the haunting possibility that I made it the fuck up deliberately and then forgot that I did. The true horror begins. I may have posted HERE, on THIS VERY BLOG, about making it the fuck up. And I still managed to forget and then convince myself that it was real, at least in some continuity.

It's too late now. There is too much already. I just have to keep going.

I've learned that the Matrix of Conquest is sometimes called the Matrix of Chaos, which adds another Matrix to my list, if I'm already making shit up then I might as well split them into their own things. Might as well break the triune... I had to get 10 more anyway to make it to 13... even though not all of the 13 Prime's made a Matrix and instead made other shit.... Whatever.

I am in too deep. I need to start writing stuff down before I forget it, now that I'm once again the sole arbiter of this fucking nonexistent lore... I already was writing various fanfictions and had ttrpg shit planned... At least I no longer have the possibility of getting spoiled on it anymore!
