"The unit says bye to Alder" is HILARIOUS. One, Alder is surrounded by her fondest friends (Verger, Izadora, Anacostia) and she asks for the unit. Okay, she does need Raelle to stimulate the Mycelium, but the other two? She hasn't directly interacted with Abigail since, like, uh, Tarim? Unless you count her speech to the coven in 2x2. Then we have the speeches. Abigail: "I spent my whole life looking up to you. You showed me what it means to be a leader." Yeah, sure, extremely plausible. But what element of leadership do we see Abigail exhibiting that was the same as Alder's, distinct from others? "To follow one's will for better and for worse." LOL backhanded compliment harder. But also as I discussed before wrt Abigail, while she does follow her own will for better and for worse, it's mostly in a solitary warrior fashion, rather than as a leader of large groups? "And don't worry, we're going to be just as hard on my mom." Okay, now THIS shows that Abigail and Alder had plenty of personal interaction before the beginning of the show. Abigail knows the politics even if she's not wont to play them. This, at least, is a very true thing that happened during the show, not in an unseen backstory. Not that Abigail herself was personally hard on Alder, instead of just backing up her unit. Raelle: "You pushed me to look inside myself to dare to face my darkness." Uh what. When? How? What darkness? Raelle and Alder didn't interact in any way but professionally in S2. However, she is also the only member of the unit not to insult Alder on her deathbed, so. Raelle really is a soft-hearted people pleaser at heart. Tally: LOL. The fanfic is all like "and then Tally is just devastated, DEVASTATED! She is DESPERATE to apologize" but in the actual scene Tally really goes and opens with "I was right, bitch, just doing what you said to do in 2x2! Except for that keep silent part. All what keep? I can't read suddenly. I don't know." A+ gloating, Craven. "I may never understand some of the choices you've made" Tally can NOT stop saying "I was still right, bitch" lmao she is still salty about 2x5, has to have the final word on this dammit. "You can set it down now. We will carry it from here." Even being nice she's backhanded ribbing Alder about having stayed too long. "Your job sucked ass. Our turn now. kthxbye" Amazing.
#motherland fort salem#not tagging this properly for reasons#category: tv#Alder comes back in S3 and tally is like uhhhhh I would rather peace out and apologize to my MOM first#and the two of them never do talk to each other about the rite of proxy#tally feels remorse about alder in 3x1 but in alder's actual presence she's like 'you've disappointed me a lot [in the past]'#LOL girl please! stop she's already (un)dead!#unrelated; why exactly is tally not surprised that alder dislikes weddings? where/when did that intuition come from?#tally craven#abigail bellweather#raelle collar#bellweather unit#sarah alder

tldr I committed to a bit too hard
The slow-dawning sunlight dappled down through dense, rich foliage, scattering golden lace across mossy trunks and grassy hillocks. The light caught on the forest floor in a thousand glassy dewdrops and bent, fisheyed, in globed inversions of the canopy above.
No breeze stirred the forest so early in the morning, but a thin mist gathered in the valley under the warming air. Sunbeams lanced through the fog, pale in the dawn but soon to brighten and intensify. For now, the air was damp and cool and still, and the scent of the night lingered.
Pip bent a pawful of grass to the side and sniffed the air suspiciously.
It was too quiet, too still. And with no wind, she couldn't mark the position of the strange beasts and their odd, dusty, acrid scent that had no place in these woods. It hung low and directionless over the peaceful morning, distant but permeating, like a faraway fire.
She adjusted her backslung blade, wrapped her cloak closer around her and dropped onto all fours, nose pointed straight ahead and whiskers standing at attention. Her dusty green-gray wrap would shield her from all but the most attentive prying eyes, and - she quirked an ear, just to be sure of the silence - most of the forest was still asleep, unlikely to mark her passage.
She managed to stifle a flinch as a sound that wasn't a sound bypassed her ears and rang straight into her head.
Pip? Where'd you go?
She exhaled softly through her nose, the barest expression of frustration she allowed herself.
Scouting, Alder. Go back to sleep.
She set off before he could reply, scurrying silently along the mossy forest floor, tracing a sinuous route through the canopy's shadow to stay out of the slow-brightening sunbeams.
Scouting?!
The thought squeaked with disbelief. She didn't answer it.
Alder never had fewer than three thoughts at a time, and the more agitated he became, the harder they became to sort through. A jumble rang in her skull, a snatch of Eldest told us- and moves like thunder and have to hide, that last one echoing in six different ways with the significance it held in his mind. She concentrated on tracing her silent route, one shadow to the next, and came to a stop under a broad-leafed stalk as Alder's distress built to a crescendo.
If she kept moving, eventually she'd slip out of his range. Wasn't that a tempting thought.
I said go back to sleep, she sent, and with an afterthought of inexpert kindness, added I'm being careful. It'll be fine.
The chattering ground to a halt, and she felt the effort it took him to focus his thoughts down to a single thread. Come back, Pip. We have to stay hidden until they're all gone.
We can't hide if we don't know where they are.
Pip caught the beginning of his protest and shook herself violently, breaking off the connection. It was rude, she knew; closing her mind completely was one of her rarer talents, but unlike her other oddities, this one she wasn't particularly respected for. Her skills as a scout were admired precisely because she had such sharp senses, physical and mental both - some days she could even hear the slow, tangled thoughts of the Long Shadows - but when she didn't want to be disturbed, she could wall herself off from the others as thoroughly as if she'd been on the other side of the forest.
And right now, picking her way between treetrunks and sniffing her way towards the bizarre menagerie that had invaded her forest, the last thing she wanted was to be disturbed.
Her right forepaw sank in unexpectedly soft soil, and she recoiled with a stifled gasp. Her eyes darted across the swath of ground, analyzing its shape - and then she widened her scope, scanning the yards beyond that first strange softness. In a low-lying, hollowed track between two thick-rooted trees, the carpet of grass and flowers were flattened and crushed into a felted mat, mud bubbling through it in irregular patches like sickness in a wound. A wide track had been beaten into the soil by dozens - at least dozens, she amended - of flat-pawed creatures. Their dusty, acrid stink lay heavily over it.
She drew back from the unnaturally soft soil. Even with her diminutive size and weight, there was the risk of getting mired in unexpectedly watery ground, and while rescue was never far away in these woods, she certainly didn't want to weather Alder's overconcern or Eldest Luma's quietly smug passivity. Instead she skirted towards a point where the track narrowed, lashed her tail for a momentary burst in balance, then sprang over the mud and latched onto a tree root on the other side, freshly ripped free from the soil and scored with dozens of thin scars from the claws of the marching creatures. She scurried up and settled at the tree's base, where the gnarled roots tangled into a more-than-sturdy foothold overhanging the morass.
With the newfound advantage of height, she surveyed the terrain. The tracks overlapped one another in a mad scramble, pouring up from the lowland forest and curving up and away.
They moved with surprising organization for such motley creatures. She counted at least four very different sizes of print in the track, some barely longer than her own body (nose to the base of her tail) while some were large enough to crush her underfoot without even noticing.
The tracks were only a few hours old. The swarm must have passed in the early pre-dawn. She strained her memory to try and recall if she'd felt any tremors from down in the sleep-halls of the hollow, but if she were honest with herself, they were too far down and too well-insulated by the soft soil walls to have marked their passage.
She turned her attention to where the trail vanished from sight, curving over and up the slope. The land in that direction was treacherous and, to the mind of her people, best avoided. Gravel slips and rain rivulets ran down between the massive plates of rock that jutted out of the soil, and even though trees and flowers overgrew them, their roots could not be trusted to hold the ground together enough for safe passage of one of her size. Fresh rainfall unearthed and dislodged glassy chips of stone, and the soil turned to mud and slipped between the boulders, exposing treacherous chasms that could swallow an unwary traveler. The shattered earth built up and up until it abruptly skewed and slanted down in a gentle curve, like the ground had been struck with a terrible force and the shattering had rippled out from the center. And in the heart of that broken land, glimpsed fearfully from treetops or the shadow of the stones, lay the stronghold of the Long Shadows.
Once, long redmoons ago, Pip had traveled three days and nights to scale the shattered peaks herself, to see the stronghold with her own eyes (mostly due to a burst of rebellious curiosity after a scolding from Eldest Luma). The works of the Long Shadows could always be distinguished from natural formations or nests - they had a love of smooth things, and the stone they shaped stretched cleanly skyward and bore no footholds beyond the straight, geometric fissures that ran up and through them. So Pip already knew that the stronghold was encircled by a massive shadowcrafted cliff, pale and smooth as ice and taller than trees, and it surrounded the entire stronghold just behind the shattered peaks. Beyond the wall, great columns and cliffs jutted skyward, more smooth handicraft of the Long Shadows. At times they were even spotted outside the walls, tending great swaths of land in the same precise straight lines they shaped their stone. Those tracts bore vast quantities of food in unnatural abundance, some that grew nowhere else in the valley, but the Long Shadows guarded them closely and harshly punished intrusion, and the Eldest three generations before Luma had forbade anyone from entering (or even approaching) their strange geometric works, no matter how lean the winters became.
She debated following the trail. It would inexorably lead her towards the stronghold, but if the creatures were focused solely on the Long Shadows, that was valuable information to bring back to the hollow. No doubt Eldest Luma would be pleased to have yet another reason to avoid the Long Shadows and their works.
A sudden awareness prickled in the small of Pip's back, shivering up into her ears and all the way down to the tip of her tail. Her gray fur bristled and she froze, eyes darting wildly, seeking the source. The feeling had no obvious impetus, but she trusted her tail with her life, and something was happening. Something sourceless, something…
At the base of the root she was balanced on, a sprout punctured the trodden soil and curled upwards, splitting into pairs of pale green leaves. She watched as it climbed to twice her height in less than three beats of her racing heart.
Instinct took over. She scampered up the tree like a shot, finding footholds in the bark with a practiced ease that belied her jolting terror. She plunged into the safety of the leafshadow and clung to a branch, breathing fast and shallow and trying very hard to stay quiet.
Below her, a green carpet spread across the mire as grass and flowers bloomed impossibly fast.
The Weeping Shadow was approaching.
Pip strained her ears and caught the hint of a whisper of movement through the grass, distant and soft but certainly coming closer. It was pointless to cast her eyes towards the darkness - The Weeping Shadow was, in the stories, always swathed in gray, near invisible in the shadow of the canopy, and it passed in many tales without a trace, save for its flowering footsteps as its passage drove the forest to frenzy.
But it never came so close to the stronghold. The Weeping Shadow's domain was the deep and tangled woods, much further into the valley than even the hollow. It haunted the river and the wild places, and its realm was thick with plants of impossible vitality and sweetness - but not even the bravest scout dared its domain, even when hunger was rampant. The fruits of the Weeping Shadow's realm were steeped in an absolute sorrow whose depth defied comprehension, and the slow pulse of its thoughts churned in dark and wrenching misery that could be heard across half the valley. It was too much for the mind to take for long, and scouts that had strayed into its influence took moons to recover from the borrowed grief.
That had been the prickling on Pip's neck. The slow approach of the Weeping Shadow was already casting a pallor on her mind - and it was getting closer.
Pip's thoughts scrambled for her next move. If she stayed hidden, the Weeping Shadow would pass nearer to her than anyone had ever dared. She flattened her ears against her head and focused on the walls around her mind. Could she close herself to it strongly enough to hold out?
A wild fear beat against her ribs. She wanted to stay clinging to this branch forever, but she also wanted to bolt, to sprint the length of the branch and fling herself into open space, trusting the soft soil to cushion her fall - or rather, if she were honest with herself in that moment, heedless of what the fall might do to her. The desperate urge to flee was strong in her people, and here, faced with a terror closer than ever before, it was nigh overwhelming.
But Pip had a third instinct that overruled all others when she allowed it, and it had been slowly growing in her mind ever since she'd slipped from the hollow before the dawn. It was a hunger, of a sort, and one that warred always with fear. The hunger was curiosity, a thrumming urge for exploration and understanding that spurred her on through peril and dark for the promise of clarity on the other side.
The beasts in her forest were descending on the stronghold, and their passage had stirred the Weeping Shadow from its domain. Something was happening - something vast, something perhaps unknowable. But it would certainly stay unknowable if she didn't even try to know it.
And perhaps the Weeping Shadow knew.
Pip had more control than most over the openness of her mind. It alarmed her peers, sometimes, that she could pass among them in silence, unreceptive to their soundless speech. It unnerved them more, for those who knew - from a time when she was more open with her secrets and her strangeness - that she could at times hear the deep thoughts of the Long Shadows, and stranger still, sometimes even catch a shred of their meaning. The idea that the minds of the Long Shadows could in any way compare to the bright, clear thoughts of her people was on the surface laughable, and just under that surface, frightening. Still, she knew it was true. Their minds were dark, slow places, but they contained meaning and knowledge, most beyond the reckoning of her kind.
The mind of the Weeping Shadow was an abyss of grief and sorrow, but if she could attune her senses to it - if she could withstand its pressure - she could, perhaps, glean its purpose in the shattered peaks, and what it knew of the creatures that she pursued.
The underbrush cracked. Pip flattened herself against the branch and peered intently at the sound as the rolling wave of green spread under the tree, blanketing in every direction.
A shape moved in the shadow of the trees, ponderous and slow.
Pip felt her eyes grow hot and stinging, the space behind them heavy with unshed tears. A borrowed bottomless grief encroached on the walls of her mind, lapping at it like a swelling river threatening its banks.
The Weeping Shadow broke from the treeline and stepped forward.
It towered, even from Pip's high vantage point. It was gray and still and almost shapeless in the dim of the canopy, but twin lights glimmered near its summit, pale green like the sprouts boiling at its feet.
Pip's head pounded. The pressure of its presence was terrible. It was vast, yes, but the power of the sorrow within it seemed vaster still - like all the forest around it was desperate to weep, and the Shadow was the only part of it that could, yet it refused to.
The Shadow tilted its head down, and the lights of its eyes vanished in the gloom. But it was not weeping, Pip knew. It was… looking.
Looking at the tracks under its carpet of grass.
Pip gritted her teeth, gripped the branch, and opened her mind.
It was gentler than she had anticipated. The pressure and power was indescribable, but once she stopped trying to push it back, she found it moved her rather like water would - with force, but without pain. It was almost easy to let the thoughts of this vast creature buffet her where they would.
The words in the Weeping Shadow's mind were unknown to her, but she felt a snatch of them repeating over and over again. The words mattered less than the feeling that drove them, and as she focused, she realized that the Weeping Shadow was, in some way, at war with itself; the thoughts were not all in agreement. The repetition smelled of deep, old terror, but its loop was broken over and over again by a different, newer thought - one that Pip herself was intimately familiar with, strong enough that she needed no translation to parse it:
But I can help.
Dimly, in her faraway body, she felt tears pouring from her, hot and desperate from a grief she couldn't fathom. Her claws gripped the bark of the branch. The Weeping Shadow's thoughts, at the moment, were focused on its inner war, but it did nothing to shield Pip from the substrate of its misery. Still, she was onto something. If she could just push through, she might learn what the Weeping Shadow understood of the intruders to their forest.
Pip dug deeper. The Weeping Shadow knew what these creatures were - knew what they intended - believed it could help in some way - but what did it know of them?
Running below the looping dread and the punctuating bursts of hope, Pip glimpsed a glimmering ribbon of understanding wending its way just below the Weeping Shadow's conscious thought. It snaked under the fear, coiled around the thought of help. This had to be the knowledge that had motivated the Weeping Shadow's unheard-of migration. This was the mystery of the creatures answered.
This, perhaps, was Pip's only mistake. As she caught the thread of that understanding, it abruptly yanked against the current and plunged her down, down, down into the icy depth of the Weeping Shadow's truest misery. Its knowledge of these creatures came from the same bone-deep wellspring as the torrent of tears, and Pip screamed aloud as it battered her mind full-force. Alien thoughts crashed against her, unbearably loud; the grinding of bone, the shifting of stone, the pounding of waves greater than any river, the splintering of mighty trees. A twisting, a breaking - a power like a maddened, wild animal, thrashing and uncontrollable, kept in check only by its own terrible exhaustion and grief. She was so, so small, and somehow in the depths of this vastness she was even further diminished, crushed to a single point of light-
And something was watching her.
With a last mighty burst of willpower she released the thought-thread, flung herself away, and tumbled off the branch. It was something of a mercy that she was too stunned to feel the impact, and the carpet of seedlings cushioned her fall.
The first thing she became aware of was her breathing, high and fast and shallow in time with her racing heartbeat, real panic and borrowed sorrow draining away with shocking rapidity. Second, she felt the pain; her head pounding with spent exhaustion, her paws cramped in every joint, her back and shoulders bruised from where the impact of the fall had driven her scabbarded blade against her spine.
The third thing she became aware of was the shadow stretching towards her, claws stretched as long as her whole body, the deep purple of the skies after dusk.
The Weeping Shadow loomed over her, vaster than mountains. Two points of green pierced out from the dark.
She ran.

Just spitballing some random pokethoughts...
Eternatus and the Darkest Day happened in Galar 3,000 year ago, and at the same time AZ made the Ultimate Weapon in Kalos, again 3,000 years ago.
And the two events lead to Devon co. studying Mega Evolution to develop Infinity Energy, and Macro Cosmos studying Dynamax and Power Spots to develop Rose's power plant. "Eternal" and "Infinite."
And the Eternatus power plant logo strongly resembles the new logo in the Z-A trailer.
And in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, the Infinity Energy was ultimately used to save the day by teleporting the Delta meteor into another universe. getting Mega Rayquaza to destroy the Delta meteor. And Eternatus fell to Earth on a meteorite (20,000 years ago).
Delta(Δ) being the mathematical variable for "Change," and obviously being a play on the Greek letter motif(ΩA). And of course Alpha and Omega as a pair are best known as the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet(and the biblical "Beginning and the End")
So, go figure, ΩA is a synonym with ZA, so the title ...Z-A can be understood as "(from)The End to The Beginning," the reverse reading of A-Z as "A to Z."
There are two kings who helped defeat Eternatus who apparently at some point shared a bloodline? (Did their descendents marry later, or were the two kings already related?) Tragically their bloodline produced the brothers Shieldbert and Swordward.
AZ was a former king of Kalos and is succeeded by a younger brother from whom Lysander is descended.
King Louis XIV was dubbed "le Roi Soleil":"the Sun King" and famously obsessed over sun motifs. His Palace of Versailles is the basis of the Parfum Palace in Kalos. The Parfum Palace was built by either AZ or one of his descendents.
The Parfum Palace garden has statues of Zekrom and Reshiram
Zekrom and Reshiram were split in two from their original united form by the Hero of Truth and the Hero of Ideals, forming Unova in the process.
The Twin Heroes built the Relic Castle in what is now the Resort Desert. The Relic Castle appears to have been built "at least 2,500 years ago".
Possibly also built the Abyssal Ruins? One castle dedicated to the sun and the desert, one to the dark and the watery depths?
The Relic Castle enshrines Volcorona, "The Sun Pokemon" said to have appeared at a time when ash blacked out the sky and saved people by acting as a replacement for the sun.
Eternatus' Darkest Day involved summoning dark clouds to black out the sky.
Alder, Champion of Unova, has a Volcorona as his signature pokemon, a backstory involving losing a pokemon and wandering the region in his grief, kind of like AZ, sans the immortality.
Alder also has a flaming mane-like hair not too dissimilar to Lysandre's.
Alder is the basis of an unspecified character design in Legends Arceus who appears to be a third, perhaps seminal or unifying factor in the Maxi/Archie ancestors' Diamond and Pearl clans. A Platinum clan? The Sinnoh people? Or just a unifier, a peace maker, a mentor, or a shared ancestor?
Cogita and Volo as members of the Sinnoh people have fixations on lore keeping/seeking. Something Cynthia sort of inherits
Cynthia is from Celestic Town in Sinnoh, where Drasna said she's from originally
Zinnia is a Dragon trainer and "lorekeeper" in ORAS
Celestic Town in DPPt has a shrine that uses the same model as the one in Ilex Forest for Celebi in HGSS
Terapagos is supposed to have an ability to alter or shift timelines, relating to the presence of the Paradox Pokemon
But Black City and White Forest also seem to exist as a kind of paradox around polar opposite futurism and primitivism

Gonna be honest, I came up with this AU on the spot so I haven't really thought about it that hard lol. But I think that the story would be quite different since N is no longer the pawn that Ghetsis manipulates to get his way. Here's what I think might've happened:
(I'm using Black version for reference! Also this ended up being kind of long haha)
Ghetsis is the king of Team Plasma, and works on his own to manipulate the people of Unova. He plans to raise a team to fight Alder himself, but is unable to summon Zekrom to help him in his conquest of Unova. However he hears from the Shadow Triad that Alder found a boy in the woods that can talk to Pokémon, and is raising him to be an incredibly strong future champion.
This catches Ghetsis's attention and he begins a plan to capture N. Since he himself cannot talk to Pokémon he believes he can manipulate N enough to free Zekrom from the stone. Perhaps by claiming that he is N's true father?
Ghetsis successfully captures N and tries to manipulate him into aiding with his "ideal" of liberation, claiming that battles hurt Pokémon and that they should be free. N is not so easily persuaded and fights back, since he has been raised on Pokémon battling with Alder and can see the good in their interaction. Although N does waver a bit to Ghetsis's manipulation, he stays loyal to Alder's ways and puts trust in Alder's judgement.
Instead of shying away from responsibility due to the death of his Pokémon, Alder has revived his passion for battles through his interactions with N and is more active in protecting Unova. When N is taken away he becomes angry and storms the castle with the other gym members to get his son back.
When Ghetsis realizes that his manipulation is not working, he pulls an "emotional father" card to make N free the dragon, taking advantage of the fact that N has been trying to discover who his true family is.
This is where the protag comes in. Although N summoned Zekrom he refuses to fight the protag, conflicted on what he had just done. Meanwhile Reshiram is awakened. Ghetsis takes charge of Zekrom as the two dragons begin to fight.
N (bless his heart) talks to Zekrom during the fight and manages to deter him from Ghetsis, so Zekrom stops fighting and takes N's side, putting Ghetsis's plan of Pokémon liberation to an end. Ghetsis flies into a rage, lashing out against N in a fit of anger and challenges the protag with his own personalized team. After he is defeated, Alder breaks into the chamber and saves N while Ghetsis flees. The two dragons return to their stones and peace returns to Unova.
By the end of the story N goes home with Alder to recover, but is left with conflicted feelings about the future of Unova and Ghetsis, the man that could've been his father. (Or relative. I personally think that N is the son of Ghetsis's brother but I digress)
Not sure about BW2 since I haven't played it yet and am trying to avoid spoilers atm, but yeah! Feel free to tell me any ideas that you might have, I'm not the best at making AUs but would love to hear different interpretations!

Alright, I played through the Story. Time to adapt the story to my OCs.
Spoiler für Janthir Wilds under the cut! Also warning for long text.
The Tyrian Alliance:
It is Vale again who gets invited to the Meeting. But since her retirement, she refuses the invitation. Instead its Deus who gets called there - her Husband and actual former Commander. (Reminder: Vale might be the second Commander to Deus, but she was primarily the Champion of Aurene in my Story)
Due to Fuma visiting her father during this time, she gets dragged along and taking Wilson and Mishra with them.
With Deus still too busy with all the Charr stuff (but also still stressed about the situation with his wife) he decides to send his daughter to this mission. With the help of Wilson and Mishra, he is certain she will do a great job. And because Malice and Caithe joining them, he is not worried about their safety.
Janthir:
Wilson, Fuma and Mishra will have a blast getting to know the lowland Kodan - also join in all the activities and culture. Its easy for them to connect with the Kodan. Fuma will learn to wield the Spear, while Mishra is nose deep in all the Kodan Loren. And who is taking care of some Journeykin? Wilson of course, just like she did with the Skyscale back then. She befriends the Warclaw, that attacked them at the beginning. A black furred Warclaw with emerald eyes.
Later they will further explore the Wilds and crash into Greer. The fight is a mess. And a reminder that there not only there to have some "fun" and gather information. There is danger, that Deus ignored in all his stress. (He will feel very guilty about that)
In this fight they get surprising help from a stranger - a Charr that looks very familiar. Happy to see a know face Wilson shouts out "Valefor", but it's not him. This Charr is known by the Name "Neeve", but hearing the Name "Valefor" makes her eager to stick to these people. She is adamant to join them, without telling them why.
Due to Wilson friendliness, Neeve is accepted to join and protect them in their further task. Later, Stoic Alder also notices how similar Neeve looks to a known ally. Confirming there is something to this similarity of their friend Valefor. But since the Events of SotO nothing was heard of him or Kying - they wished for some privacy and peace to recover from the events. Neeve catches this - still stays silent about her true motives.
Sidenote: For several month she tried to track down her twin brother Valefor. She wants to reconnect with her only family. (More about Neeve can be found here) That's why she ends up in Janthir - and with several people noticing how similar she looks to a certain other Charr, she can feel she is very close in finding her.
Stoic Adler offers them to bring them to this Ally, but they don't tell Neeve about that. (But again she catches it and follows them in secret) And surprise its indeed Valefor and Kying. In a House, very close to the lowland Kodan, they never told anyone about. Valefor is not really happy about the sudden visit. But he can't bring himself being angry about it - so he welcomes Wilson and Co into his home. There he learns about their visit and Mission. Before they can further deepen the conversation, Neeve reveals herself and with her appearance a huge argument breaks out between her and Valefor. Confirming that these two are related. Before the argument envolved into a real fight, Kying intervenes and separates the siblings. Valefor heads into the wild to get off some steam, while Kying offers Wilson, Fuma and Mishra a room to stay. Neeve is also allowed to stay, she moves into the old Workshop.
Later Valefor confronts Neeve again - this time a little calmer - asking why she is here. They talk a little - but don't end on a good note. Valefor refuses to accept her into his life and wants her to leave the next morning. Neeve will follow this request, for now. But she will continue helping Wilson and her friends on their Mission. Valefor also offers Wilson to help them, should they need his help. Knowing he is still recovering from the Events with the Kryptis, they reject his offer.
But they come back to the offer when they learn there is not one, but two titans. He will not help in the investigation - but later in the confrontation of Greer and Decima.
During the Investigation Neeve further befriends Wilson, Fuma and Mishra. At first she only wanted to stick with them to stay close to her brother, but with the time she starts to really like them. (No one can resist Wilsons - she collects dangerous people like pretty flowers,....) Neeve also learns a little more about her brother. And she adopts the Warclaw from the beginning. She will name the Warclaw Eos.
Now to the last bit, The fight with Greer and Decima.
Valefor and Kying will help them - but due to the differences between Valefor and Neeve the fight will be messy. (Two Siblings fighting and arguing - thought it would be a funny parallel)
Valefor will fuck up in his rage against his Sister (and their past). Neeve will have a breakdown - caused by the head injury Valefor once caused her in the past. This will result in Neeve getting badly hurt during the fight. Luckily they still manage to keep the upper hand, before they are forced to retrieve, with the appearance of yet another titan.
With that Moment and a huge amount of guilt, Valefor takes Neeve into his home again. Aiding her back to health. He is still not happy to have her back - but now he is willing to open up a little. Neeve will permanetly move into the old Workshop and make this her new home. While Valefor is still distant to her - Kying is very open to her. Giving her another friend to talk to. Kying will also try to mediate between the two.
Lets see what else the Story of Janthir brings, can't wait for it. I really like the vibe so far. Janthir Wilds will also be the story for Neeve and Valefor reconnecting.
Some sidenotes / random thoughts and rambeling:
Wilson, Fuma and Mishra will continue gathering information in Janthir
Valefor, Kying and Neeve will take over the dangerous missions, that also involves battles.
With the help of Waiting Sorrow, Wilson might get back her magic. She lost it during the final Battle of the Jade sea
Valefor btw. got the respect of the Kodan via his own knowledge of wielding a spear. But he and Kying probably also helped the Kodan at some point - granting them the permission to have a house in their lands.
Deus will get a huge scolding from Vale, after she learns about the Events in Janthir. So much for "I send our Daughter to a safe Information retrieving mission only",... in a dangerous area. It wasn't his brightest moment.
MAYBE,... just maybe Vale will visit them. She could do a vacation there. At least the lowland Kodan also love to fish. Thats the thing Vale would do - fish in the area. Yeah I like the idea - Orez, Phrike Jr. Elden and Desmond might tag along. (one person have to look after the kids)
So Janthir also becomes a little Family vacation. Just a little bit. For a week or two. During the calm time at least or just very close to the Kodan village.
Oh and with Desmond also joining, he will definitely grab himself a Journeykin. He would also love to explore the Wildlife - so I can see him joining Wilson, Fuma and Mishra.

Any chance you'd write a super fluffy piece Larissa x fem!reader, Larissa has always wanted to go to a ball and loves the classic piece "on the beautiful blue danube" so reader surprises her with a trip to Vienna (can be anywhere, but Vienna and waltz kinda go together) and they have a super romantic evening and dance until morning? I just have this super soft image of Larissa dancing in a super flowy dress to a classic piece of music being regal and all. Thank you.:) If you're not interested it's also cool, I'll just keep dreaming. :)
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐞 || 𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐀 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐌𝐒
Larissa Weems x French!reader
a/n: Honestly, I didn't really thought about making reader french but as I write this, I started thinking of French pet names and I had to.
edit: Thank you for @alder-saan for correcting me! I hope my changes are better! don't be shy to correct me if I'm still wrong.
“What is something you’ve been longing for a while?” You asked while you gently combed her hair in between your fingers. Her head was on your lap as you both sat in front of the fireplace. Moments like these you wished would stay forever.
She hummed, shifting her body to think more comfortably. “I’ve always wanted to go to a ball. I’ve always imagined myself dancing to a classical piece I love. Maybe dance around till sunrise.” Her tone was almost bittersweet, almost as if she was calling her inner child.
You stopped combing her hair. Instead, you gave her a forehead kiss, and another, and another, until her whole face was covered with your kiss. She giggled, “Darling, what is this?”
“Hm, I just love you.”
“I love you too.”
Ever since she mentioned that to you, you started to look forward to this semester break. Normally, you and Larissa would stay indoors, reading books with each other. Sometimes, go to Weathervane for morning coffee after your walk. There is a rare occasion when you’d travel somewhere for a vacation. But you couldn’t think of a better way to spend a semester break with your wife.
Being stressed out from the recent activities, especially after the Marilyn-Laurel incident, she’s been overworking herself. If she wasn’t behind her desk at night, she’s pace around her office. She buried herself with work, forgetting to take care of herself. It breaks your heart having to watch her in this state.
At the end of the semester, most students were in their dorms, giving you the advantage to go to her office undetected. Students like to tease both of you whenever you visit her office. Not being a teacher at Nevermore, whenever you visit the academy, the students always anticipate their principal being more at ease, and chirpy even.
It gave them a slight advantage to slip away from trouble.
Your knuckles came in contact with the door. The sound of knocking made Larissa perk up and turned her attention through the door. “Come in.”
At the sight of you, she immediately relaxed her once rigid shoulder and let herself breathe for what seemed like forever. “Hello, my dear.” she smiled, leaning against your soft touch.
“Hello, mon ange.” Your French was rich, she mewls over the way your voice manages to send shivers down her spine.
“I have a surprise for you.” You slowly moved away as you approached her desk and placed your bag to search for a specific paper.
“Hm? What is it?” She curiously glanced inside your bag.
You perked up, grabbing the paper and turning in her direction before showing her the plane ticket you had bought. “I believe we deserve our overdue vacation.”
She read the ticket carefully, tracing her fingers against the paper. You pushed yourself onto her desk and sat comfortably, patiently waiting for her reaction.
“I…” She whispered, she looked up to face you. “I don’t deserve this.”
“Yes you do, ma cher. You’ve been stressing and overworking yourself. With the recent events, you haven’t had peace of mind.” She leaned her head on your lap whilst you’ve completely sat on her desk, laptop, and paperwork have been disregarded. “You out of the people need a break.”
She slowly shook her head. You gently grabbed her face and made her look at you. “I bought this ticket for you, just for you, ma chérie fille. Pretty please, come with me to Vienna, I’ll be lonely there.” you plead, giving her a forehead kiss, a kiss on both cheeks, and a deep kiss on her lips.
Her hands roamed around your waist, hips, and thigh before pulling away. Her lipstick smudged your face, it made you more beautiful than ever. “How could I refuse a kiss like that? Hm? Planning to leave me when I refuse.” she smirked.
“Well, I don’t wanna waste money now do we?”
The week goes by smoothly, packing the things you need and making sure you’ve booked the right hotel. When you arrive in Vienna, you can practically see her beaming face when she looks out the balcony to see the city lights at night.
“There's a ballroom here, shall we visit?” You asked, containing the excitement in your voice. When she turned around, her eyes were glistening with excitement, barely making the effort to hide it.
“Really?” She asked.
“Yes, but before we go, wear this, Love.” You pulled out a dress from the closet and showed it to her. Her reaction made everything worth it. “Is this…”
“Yes, I commissioned it just for you.” You said, placing the dress on the bed and the heels you bought for her. “Get ready, amour. A surprise will be waiting for you outside the door.” you kissed her forehead before heading out the door.
Watching you leave, she couldn’t believe she had found someone like you to marry. Deciding to not want you to wait any longer, she quickly made her way through the bathroom to change. You made the dress easy to wear, just how she always wanted it. The way their heels were the right amount of height for her.
You notice every little detail about what she loves and what she does not.
When she was done, she stepped out of the door, hoping to see you. But she was met by a staff member from the hotel. “Ah, Mrs. Weems, follow me, your wife is waiting in the ballroom,” they said as they gently gestured for her to follow them. She bowed her head, silently thanking her as she followed the staff.
She could tell she was getting closer, with the music growing louder and louder until she was in front of the door. The staff opened the door, “I hope you’ll have a wonderful time.” they smiled as Larissa entered the door before shutting it close.
Her eyes admired how spacious it was. The decorations and the art on the ceiling, she spins, admiring the art she can admire right now.
“I knew that dress would suit you.” She stopped, her eyes landing on your figure. She could feel her jaw slacken, heat creeping up to her neck, making her heart beat faster than it ever was. Your dress hugged your figure just right, your hair nicely updo.
“tu as l'air divine, mi amour.” you walked, opening your arms as you caressed her cheeks. “Darling, you know I can’t speak French.”
“That’s the best part, my darling wife.”
“I can’t believe you did this.”
“Believe it,” you said, placing a kiss on the corner of her lip. “I’ll make you believe it. You deserve this. You deserve everything. You deserve my love, everyone’s love. You deserve to be spoiled with affection and showered with love. I love you forever. Even when I can’t.”
“I love you forever. Even when I shouldn’t.” Tears slipped from her eyes. You gently kissed the tears and smiled.
“May I have this dance?” Suddenly, music echoed through the room. She was piqued when she heard a classical piece she loved so much.
You chuckled. “I remember you saying that you wanted to dance to a classical piece you love.” you paused, taking both of her hands and dragging her to the center. “So, let’s dance, beautiful”
You didn’t need to utter any more words, she grabbed your waist and held your hand up, waltzing around the empty room like you own the place. Feeling like a medieval princess dancing with a prince, but it’s not a prince.
Her dress flows as you sprung her around, a smile you could never forget. Both of you laughed and danced. For once, forgetting that time was against you, that time was ticking. For a moment, you let this scene play out, as it should.
“Marry me.”
“Honey, I’m already married to you.” She chuckled.
“I know, but I wanna marry you again,” you said. “And again, and again, and again. Until we grow old.”
“Okay.”
While everything around her was asleep, this moment feels alive, dancing till the sun has risen.

Done with the story, and boy howdy am I happy with this expansion~
So, let's get the easy ones out of the way: map design and music are just top notch, even more than usual. Lost count of the amount of times I got lost exploring, it's all just damn neat, and I'm not even done. Likewise, I got so many goosebumps due to the music, and now that I'm past spoilers, I'm due to sit down and properly listen to the full soundtrack. Also, sound design has always been awesome as well, and each time they move up a level.
Story was pretty damn good and DENSE with stuff for lore nerds to chew on. GW2 is back to doing what it does best, and the worldbuilding through dialogue and books has been a blessing this time around. So many of the interesting things "forgotten by the story" got addressed or aknowledged, and I kinda like that we've been out of the loop for a while even before the SotO stuff (we can't be everywhere, and that's a good thing) so that it can be done organically. The Tyrian Alliance have some of my fave dialogue (oh Dougal, hang in there buddy) and books, and MAN the hints at potential future expansions have me running up walls. Also all my homies hate Isgarren's floaty ass and I'm here for it (and for poor Frode who has to wrangle him). The investigative parts are such a pearl of writing, piecing together what happened in Gavril through texts found around the map before the bloodstone story step was SO satisfying, and in general I loved each build-up. I expected things from Waiting Sorrow, and while what I got wasn't what I expected, I love her already (you can whoop Isgarren's supposed ass, don't hold back dear). I've seen people complain about Poky being Braham 2.0, which is fair, but honestly I'm here for it and I really want the two of them to meet and be friend (even Alder thinks the same, come on!). Can't wait to dwelve in all the other collections and achievements I haven't done yet, what I got done so far has been quite fun.
Gameplay? Sure the spears are awesome, the warclaw is fun (gosh the chain-race mechanic in those story fights? Perfection.), but the events and hearts are the kind of small scale stuff that makes me adore GW2, because I like being useful to people in mundane yet meaningful ways and it makes every part of the world feel lived in. I love that they reused a ton of older minigames and event structure for the new maps, and I haven't been so "at home" in maps since Grothmar.
Speaking of homes, the Homestead... Haven't touched it much because I wanted to focus on finishing story before going away for a few days + F2 being bugged for me. Given what I've seen, I'm glad I stocked up on mats, but I'll keep doing that and leave the actual decorating to when I have a nebulous "enough". With the story done, I will not respond of the emotional damage I will soon suffer. Expect posts uncomprehensible keysmashes under screenshots, I can't promise more (might survive since emotes don't seem possible for the alts, and while sad I do know that could have slain me).
My only sore points have been mostly resolved or are known bugs, and I'm trying to make my peace with the warclaw's animation speed ruining an otherwise perfect mount.
Could ramble a lot more, but all in all? If this is what we get after the teething pains of SotO, I'm sold on all future expansions and more. (And I should probably get started with GW1, huh)
Now to think about my OCs... For sure this is a expansion all about Aurelia and Ellara with a side of Zehmik, but gotta see about the rest...

"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." — Mae West
When I first ventured out into the world, I wanted to do what I could to make it a better place for all and so I tried. Through the years, I was able to provide children in third world countries with the vaccines they desperately needed to keep them away from illnesses that threatened to plague their villages. I rescued animals and restored their health, I brought vital resources to remote parts of our world, and even saved several species from extinction. What a life, what a privilege to be able to do such wonderful things. In all sincerity, I felt as though my life’s purpose was complete. I knew what I was meant for, my reason for existing. But after many years, I was homesick and needed to take a break to reconnect with the islands I call home. So I came back to Hawai’i.
Being home made me feel like I had lost my way. Relaxing by the beach, surfing with friends, and grabbing lunch to catch up felt like a selfish thing to do. How could I enjoy these things when there was so much suffering in the world? My heart would not let me rest. My mind was unraveling. I didn’t know this was part of the process. I was going through a change, a chapter was ending so another could begin. In the uncertainty of the future, I ventured forward and ended up finding solace in an unexpected place; the soul of Jacob Adler.
I didn’t expect to fall in love like this. To a level where your soul feels at peace and on fire at the same time. A person you could call home. I knew this existed but I didn’t think it would ever find me the way that it did. We married on January 20th, 2024 here in Hawai’i embracing all our ancestral traditions. It was the most beautiful and meaningful ceremony and celebration. On February 14th, 2024, we celebrated again in Como, Italy. The reason? Years prior, I had come across a bridal magazine that had a beautiful spread about weddings at Lake Como in Italy. The model looked so much like me, it was uncanny. I knew then that if I ever married, I would want to have it there. Years later, I was able to do just that.
On July 28th, 2024, our twin boys were born. They are the light of our lives. Our boys are just like Jay and I. Both adventurous, always wanted to be in the water, barefoot and happy. They love our dog, Cupid, who takes his role as older brother very seriously. He’s their protector and we feel at peace knowing we have an extra set of eyes on our boys.
It’s been two years since our twins have been born and though it’s unexpected, I’m pregnant again. Singleton this time. Don’t tell Jay but I’m hoping for a girl. But regardless of who our little one will become, I just know that every little thing, is going to be alright.
XOXO

A Kingdom of Lies Preview
Tales are told to the young so they may tell their children. When those children are old enough to sire their own little ones, they pass those stories on, no matter how many facts get skewed during centuries of retelling.
Bards sing of tales that have one word of truth within the whole hymn. Epic tales of monster slaying, of princesses fucking lords and knights that saved them from stone towers, and never a word of truth is spoken.
The only tales that are true are ones written in blood and ink. Ones that are retold word for word in books bound with leather, on paper so old that oil from fingers will disintegrate that which the word sits on to mere dust.
And sometimes people will go to great lengths to make sure the true word is destroyed.
The fire of Brakenlothridge burned for many days, it took many lives and it left the library, the continent's largest library in all but ashes.
When the embers died and the ruins were rummaged through there was one burnt, mangled page that managed to survive. One page that held the history of the continent that would be sung about in bard songs and tales passed on through generations.
In the year of Alder, fifteen thousand years since the meshing of dimes, the continent was vast and held aloft by kings and by men. Promethia, Lythantry, Idozerain, Drathania, Lorcathwyn, Undrella, and Rathynim were still cast aside under the banner of faerie filth.
Fae were not men, they did not understand the hearts and the blood of those that fought under banners and sigil. Fae did not burn with love or with yearning. They could never understand what men had to do, what they had to sacrifice.
The stigma, you see, was that the fae did not deserve the continent of Aer. They did not have to find their way after the meshing of dimes. They were not dropped into this world. They already owned it. They already had conquered all there was to conquer.
They had unnaturally long lives and so they could never appreciate that which was handed to them. So the humans, who did not covet the kindness of the fae king Althymer, rose up against him.
The fae were a war-less people. They did not know fighting or war. They knew peace and believed in the land and in the power they were given by the gods since the world was born from the Mother's tears.
But no power, no magic could stop thousands of men with steel and swords and love for bloodshed.
King Tryon rose from the ashes of battle and appointed his closest warriors and lords to titles no one had yet held and promised their lineage to carry on the spoils of a bloody war where one side did not fight back.
King Tryon with eyes of black and hair of fair blonde sired King Regia with eyes of black and hair of light brown. King Regia lived for almost a hundred years, sired seventy two known bastards and only one truly noble son who claimed his throne, King Alder.
King Alder was known as Alder the Terrible. He fought as much as he fucked, he drank as much as he ate, he spent coin as far and wide as he could see.
He fucked whores from brothels while a rebellion grew under his very nose.
Through three generations of kings, King Althymer of the fae never died. Some say the fae live as long as the world does, some say they live for thousands of years until they find a love so pure and so untainted that they give their soul back to the Mother in thanks.
King Althymer from behind his own barrier made of mist and darkness, one he created to keep the humans out, sired seven sons.
Some say he created them with dark magic from the goddess Detyr. Some say human women birthed them, hence the reason their ears did not have the delicately fine points. Some say they were born from the earth and once they fulfill their purpose they will crumble like dust and sand. Some say the seven riders were born of Alder, all bastards, and the king of the fae gave them a gift.
Those seven sons of Aer rode across the continent with fae, witches, magic filled vikings. They struck hard and true, never forgetting how the humans and kings slaughtered their fae brethren.
The battle, better known as the Battle of the Light and Dark, raged for many days. Some say ten nights passed, some say twenty. But the outcome was the same.
The seven sons stood upon Lyrican Rock, amidst all the gore and blood, the bodily fluids and they claimed the continent. They claimed it for the fae king and they claimed it for themselves.
Once the battle was won, King Althymer wanted nothing to do with the world. He wanted no part of this reign or the next after seeing what was taken from him. So he kept the Veil up, keeping his lands hidden from the outside.
The seven sons took their place upon Lyrican Rock, crafting the greatest castle ever seen by men and fae alike. They split their duty and their land into seven equal parts with the castle sitting dead center of the continent.
The seven kings of Light and Dark reign true with the gift of long life from King Althymer. They reign righteous and steadfast and hold peace in the land of Aer.
At least that is what the found text of Brakenlothridge had said.
But sometimes even paper printed in leather tomes lie.

Imagine being a steward of the First Song and Alder coming to see you
Every night when you were a child, you laid all tucked into your bed as your mother told you the tale of the six daughters and the pieces of the First Song. There had been other stories that she had told you - of witch origin or not - but the six sisters was the one she kept coming back to. Particularly because of how it tied into your family lineage. As she sat perched on the edge of your bed, she would run a hand through your hair as she told you about the great honor your family had to be a steward of one of the pieces. How she was guarding the song now and how one day it would be your turn to be the steward to protect the song whose music would heal the world.
That prophecy came true as years later your mother passed naturally but not before teaching you the song. As you said your goodbyes with tears falling from your eyes, you told her how much you loved her and promised her how you would take care of the song. And that's what you had been doing though there wasn't much to protect from as you lived in relative peace.
Though that seemed to be coming to an end as you sat on the porch of your house, enjoying the breeze that hit your face when you noticed a figure in the distance making your way toward you. Standing, you waited for them to near so that you could get a better look at who they were. When Alder came to view, your eyes widen. Walking down the porch steps, you lean against the step's railings as she makes her way toward you. "General Alder." Despite the fact that you had ignored the call and hidden in the Cession, you couldn't help but speak to the witch leader with respect. No one could deny all she had done for witches even if you disagreed with her decisions.
She shakes her head with a light laugh. "There's no need for titles, daughter."
"Can I ask what brings you here?" You cross your arms across your chest and rub the skin above your elbow. "Fort Salem is a long ways journey from here."
"It is time." Instead of elaborating, she begins to sing and the song so similar to yours flows out of her. At this, you straighten from your place, eyes meeting hers while you move your hand to your chest, hand above your heart.
"The First Song." You say in awe when she finished.
Alder nods. "The time will come soon for you to sing your song. The Camarilla is back and the war between witches and witch hunters has come once more." She stretches out her hand. "I'm here to take you somewhere safe with the other stewards."
You don't need time to think about it as you take a step forward and take her hand. With another smile, she turns around and begins walking away from your home. and with no hesitation in your body, you walk along with her

Farore
Din

The Seven Heroines

Zelda Imei (Hyrule’s princess of the past Calamity, first royal to marry a Wolfbred after the caste system’s implementation)
Shamia, the Disgraced (first-born of Kakku and Zelda Imei, first female to be removed from the Line of Hylia, responsible for the Sheikah and Wolfbred genocides and exiles; had her soul destroyed by Hylia herself)

Zelda Esmerelda (current high priestess and crown princess)
Zelda Ivee (future, currently unborn)
Dinraal (Zarru, pre-draconification, priestess of Akkala and Eldin before draconification; it is said that despair drove her to commit draconification on the Altar of Power, but what caused that despair only Hylia knows)
Farosh (Tikkiru, pre-draconification, priest of the Spring of Courage; prior to Rauru’s establishment of Hyrule, he was convinced to commit draconification)
Naydra (Toma, pre-draconification, priest of the Lanayru Promenade and Spring of Wisdom; received a vision of the Zonai’s impending doom and sought out Vammira to assist with the tasks both Hylia and Nayru brought upon him. The first to draconify. Rauru was never aware of any of this, and he and Sonia met due to Rauru’s struggle to comprehend what had happened: Sonia’s knowledge of sacred acts and divine commands brought counsel and peace to the last two Zonai.)
Sirie (Farore, pre-transmutation, a disgraced attempt to scientifically bring the Zonai back from practical extinction via cloning and appointed by Queen Sonia as Tikkiru’s replacement several years before the Imprisoning War. Became the Guardian Saint of Wisdom after transmutation and serves the Spring of Wisdom)
Berlon (Fray, pre-transmutation. Became the Guardian Saint of Courage after transmutation and serves the Spring of Courage)
Tyrvori (Became half the Guardian Saint of Power after transmutation and serves the Spring of Power with his wife)
Mursi (Became half the Guardian Saint of Power after transmutation and serves the Spring of Power with her husband)
Regent (A spirit ordaining rulers of Hyrule; it is believed that no one ascends without his approval)
Vammira (A spirit seem as a bad omen, as it is believed she manipulates potential saints to commit draconification)
Kazuli (Wolfbred husband of Zelda the First)
Kakku (Genetically edited Zonai-Wolfbred husband of Zelda Imei; descended from Mineru by genetic engineering)
Rhoam (Current King Regent of Hyrule)

Irra (High-ranking Yiga, although Yiga ranks don’t influence the system)
Astor
Caphia (A young Hylian girl living in Goponga)
Tavo/Vyrtuka (An elderly Zora living in Goponga who’s been adopted into the Wolfbred tribe)
Modern -
Midna Marie (Link’s mother and the head of the Elder’s Ring of Hateno. Prophetess and historian, although on the brink of insanity due to what the Circle forced her to do. Died suddenly at thirty-two when Link was twelve, suspected to be genetic-related organ failure.)
Ordon (Link’s father, and a blacksmith by trade. Once a highly decorated Royal Guard and a favorite of Queen Zelda, he laid down his sword to raise his children after his wife’s sudden passing. It seems he always has a look of guilt etched onto his face…)
Link (before Ordination)
Sydnei (Link’s eight year old sister, almost ten years younger. A lover and raiser of Cuccos as well as her brother’s biggest fan. Link would do whatever it took to save her from the realities of the modern Wolfbred tribe.)
Talo (A member of the Elder’s Ring of Hateno)
Quinari (A member of the Elder’s Ring of Hateno)
Pryze (Sir Pryze is one of the Castle's last Wolfbred knights. He is a mentor to Link, and ten years older. Uli is his mother. A throne room guard until the assassination of Queen Zelda, then relocated to Zora’s Domain with the rest of the Wolfbred knights until Link summoned him back as part of Princess Zelda’s personal guard.)
Uli (Cousin of Midna Marie, although she's like a sister to her. What happened to Midna because of how the Sheikah dehumanized their tribe in ages long past makes her very willing to lash out at the Shadow People. Wants nothing to do with Hyrule. In her words, if Link is only a "half-citizen," then the kingdom can only demand half his life for their wars. Pryze is her son.)
Twili (The apothecary of Hateno Village. Mistaken to be Link's mother several times by non-Wolfbred, due to misinterpreting the Wolfbred's affectionate culture (and the fact that Link acts less shy with Wolfbred) to be a family relationship between the two.)
Kokori (A senior (30+) Wolfbred living in Goponga Village. Considers her home among the Zora, serving as an assistant to Goponga’s general store owner. The fourth youngest Wolfbred. Colin is her husband)
Colin (Kokori’s husband and a fisherman in the Lanayru Wetlands)
Sage (Link’s spiritual advisor, teaches and leads him through his Arvador duties and takes them over when he becomes a Champion. Fifty years old, which is considered ancient to the tribe who only lives through their thirties.)
~~~
Ancient -
Perfection/Failure (Don’t get me started on him, just read the post)
Mable
Lon Lon/Lenora
Mabe
Sanidin
Saria
Arbiter
Karusa
Koma
Mezra (A member of the founding Elder’s Ring of Hateno, said to have garnered a personal connection to the Twilight. The Wolfbred’s afterlife beliefs primarily stem from her and Hami)
Hami (Founding ruler of Hateno Village, if you listen closely under the full moon, perhaps you will hear her call. Said to be spirit-bound to a Twili, she heavily influences the Wolfbred’s afterlife beliefs along with Mezra. Often depicted as a ghost-like wolf.)
Poe/Raven (A female Wolfbred with Arvador-type duties. While the Arvador title is unique to Link, this lady is in charge of the spiritual aspects that are most closely mirroring the Arvador: burials of puppies, spiritual work, etc. She maintains all the funeral rites and death tasks for Hateno Village.)
Ranvu (Hami’s husband)
Risoka (A former chamberlain for the Royal Family whose love for caring for and serving others became the basis of Hateno’s communal society)
Callisto
Jia (A member of the founding Elder’s Ring of Hateno, and Hateno’s first historian, transcribing history into song to prevent its loss. Her most notable “song” was a warning given to King Rauru by the Priestess Farore shortly before he died)
~~~
Deities excluded from the Pantheon and Pantheon Saint castes -
Celeano Orientalis
Neclutoph (also in Sheikah mythology, escorted the two tribes to Necluda after being cast from Hyrule and protected the tribes throughout exile)
Tilir (an eel-like Zora said to have protected puppies from being put to death)
~~~
Individuals who died before the institution of the caste system (earlier than 10,000 years before BotW) have no caste and are organized by sub-kingdom; except for the Pantheon, Lineage of Hylia and both Royalty castes
Individuals born after the Great Calamity have no caste, nor sub-kingdom
Let's see mask, secret, and desire for Beta AU N
Mask: Does your character wear a mask, literally or figuratively? What goes on beneath it? Is there anyone in their life who gets to see who they are under the mask?
not a literal mask (though i think that'd be kinda cool, sad, and in character actually), but a figurative one. its kinda complicated in a way. initially, the way he acted hateful and violent wasn't a mask at all, it's just who he was. they had an incredible amount of hate stirring beneath the surface and were more than willing to make it known.
then once he was cornered and captured, imprisoned and subsequently put on parole (not probation, n absolutely served time and was a felon), a lot of that hate and anger started to take a back stage for fear. he was very, genuinely scared and confused by alder's attempts to rehabilitate him- he thought he wanted something from him. he thought he was going to be used all over again, and much like being trapped in the castle, he was stuck here, because it was put up with whatever alder was "plotting" or go back go prison for life. so they masked this fear with the level of anger and hostility they used to have. beneath this front, they really do believe it's genuine. he tells himself it's not fear when it is
alder and z (im thinking of changing her name in this au, because what she does, goes through, and ends up as character-wise is actually way different from the standard z) have seen this fearful side of n before, much to his dismay. z more than alder, although alder got a pretty clear glimpse of the fact that n was terrified the first time the man broke off his ankle monitor and ran away
Secret: What's one secret your character never wants anyone to know about them?
n doesn't want anyone to know just how self conscious he actually is. he hates how he looks, though. it's why they go out of their way to make sure their hair falls over their missing eye, and why he opted for a myoelectric hand as opposed to even considering something easier to maintain and control, that might have more power or range of motion, like a body-rigged hook prosthesis. the more he can look "normal", the better. he feels as if he looks like a monster. ghetsis surely has no issue in constantly telling them as much, either
here's a really rough sketch of what it looks like under n's hair
Desire: What's one thing your character wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?
at one point, of course, n just wanted to burn down humanity. we already know this but it really was his one true desire. then, in prison and the early days of his parole, he just wanted freedom. to just run away from the world and disappear. as he heals, though.. he really doesn't know what he wants anymore. theyre very confused, almost lost in a way without one grand, ultimate goal. he's so used to being a tool for destruction that he almost doesn't know how to conceptualize a want that's actually for himself once plasma is out of the picture. they find themself liking human company. it's strange.
maybe they just desire peace or even mundanity after awhile. he's not exactly open with it, because again, he doesn't know how to recognize his own wants and needs very well, or how to untangle his complex feelings towards humanity that still remain, but he definitely takes active steps towards keeping his head down and maintaining a quiet life with the atlas family once he realizes the world isn't out to get him.
#strange dreams aside back to your regularly scheduled content#yall really like this game :∆ me 2#beta unova au#(meanwhile normal n was put on probation as opposed to parole)#(which i like . forgot to address. at all.)#(because of the tbi)#(um. n is put on trial arc when? /hj)#long post#coldslaws art
