I proclaim myself the unofficial president of the #payyourartists tag. It is my belief that all artists should be treated like people doing you a service, should be paid either their listed commission price or a fair price, and should never again be threatened, harassed, or "paid in exposure". Tbh this is the bare fucking minimum here but I believe so strongly in it that I shall rally for the rights of all artists everywhere. The streets shall burn with the blood of the non-believers before any artist goes hungry again!

Painting Stolen Sadly, this is the third of the 9 paintings that have been sold by the #barbarafrigeriogallery in Milan, Italy. I believe the main reason these situations occur so often to artists, yet rarely see the public light, is because of its futility to fight by the artist alone. Our days are already stretched thin, creating artwork with what means we can muster, that to be taken advantage of by those we trusted, is simply a debilitating fight to stand, both mentally and financially. Many simply, as I have before, just given up in order to find peace and continue creating that which only we can create. But this is garbage, and I’ve had enough. Not only for me, but for everyone, that galleries like this take such wrongful and unbelievable paths, destroying the good worth of a gallery, and tarnishing the art we create. Every waking moment is shadowed by doubts that this situation will simply be paid and resolved, as I was once promised. All of my current galleries are in support, and are completely behind me as I am behind them, absolutely fundamentally flabbergasted that this sort of thing happens. It is those great galleries who we must support, and as well, stand up against those galleries who do not belong amongst such golden examples. But moreover, the support I’ve seen in the past few days, is simply overwhelming.
