Anne Pigalle-Parisienne teenager Anne Pigalle hung out with Glen Matlock and other British punks back in Paris then brought her music to Anglo-Saxon rock & roll and the late punk scene en Londres. Working legendary club nights in the late '80s at Café de Paris and Madame Jojos, she then disappeared to California and created a music-film project in LA with Donald Cammell. 

Back in London Pigalle reinvented herself as a painter, photographer, performance and multi-media artist (Amérotica, Ecstase). From cold wave chanson to post punk jazz Anne's music and vocal delivery is always esoteric, astounding and exciting... and that's before we get on to the remarkable erotic poetry. In the wake of her recent superb album L'Ecstase, this evening Anne puts together an evening of music and poets featuring some stellar names from the London Bohemian underground such as Lu Edmunds (Public Image Ltd, The Damned, Shriekback etc) and Ray Gange, raconteur sublime (Rude Boy). Cathy Flower - is a published performance poet from Sydney, and predominantly writes about the painful struggles in life, conveying always the possibilities of freedom. Irena Halder is a woman with a guitar from Ladbroke Grove and will sing a couple of uplifting sing along songs. She loves cats and rock and roll. Dolly Blow Up is a dancer, a Soho girl with a passion for the Burlesque and rock and roll... Ruth King will bring a blend of Irish and country music and plays in bands such Rakish Paddy and Jericho Riders.  Richard Crow is an inter-disciplinary artist working in the field of experimental audio research, live performance and site-specific installation. He utilises sound and noise in a performance way, for its disruptive and subjective qualities and above all for its psycho-physical implications for the listener and viewer. He co-founded The Institution of Rot in 1992. The Failed Prostitute is an enigmatic character soliciting Richard for our collective pleasure this evening...Tonight is Anne Pigalle's Ecstase In The City AKA 'The Failed Prostitute Revue', with poets, musicians and other performers' expressing the poetry of the city against the backdrop of destructive gentrification - Regarding 'L'Ecstase'...'Engaging, exotic, alluring, the self-styled Last Chanteuse sighs and emotes a world weary ennui. Triangulation pillar on Round Hill, Urra Moor, height 454 metres (1490 feet). This is the highest point in the North York Moors National Park.

By comparison, the highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales National Park is Whernside (736 metres) and the highest mountain in the Lake District National Park is Scafell Pike (978 metres).

FYI the videos that Paul Roundhill has recently posted of himself reading from Peter’s journals that he typed up are not new content. They’re pages from the Wandsworth prison (Lonely Villein) journals that are available online and have already been more accurately transcribed. Don’t give his videos more attention.

He's mostly surrounded by friends now i suppose. Katia, both bands even though he's not spending much time with Libs now. He even got his childhood friend as manager now...

H.M.P. cigarette papers, H.M.P. plain black shoes, H.M.P. Toothpaste, H.M.P. cigarette lighters, the classic prison blue-and-white striped shirts ... you name it... He also had with him the manuscript of this first part - "Wandsworth.” Peter pressed the notebook into my hands with instructions to publish. I was privileged to collaborate in the production of creative material in many formats by perhaps the most significant musician and artist of my generation - here you will find over 100 original raw, "first time" recordings of Peter Doherty songs as he wrote and developed new songs." ~Paul Roundhill
