The Oneđž
Summary: Life always felt like something was missing and falling into a funk you go to move to forks to live with your best friend Jacob and everything seems to fall into place when he introduces you to his friends
Pairing: Paul Lahote x f!reader
â˘Masterlistâ˘
Every since I was little I felt like something was missing, like no matter how happy and whole my life felt it was never enough and when I grew into my teen years it just got worse, so my mom thought it be best to send me to live with our family friends in Forks Washington where we use to live before we moved
Getting out of the cab seeing the familiar red house feeling the fresh coastal air breeze across me something clicked in me, like everything was gonna somehow be better here
I got my suitcase out of the car waving goodbye to the man that drove me all this way from the airport
âY/N!!! YOURE HERE!â I turned seeing Jacob running out the door to me with wide open arms
Dropping my bags I jumped into his arms as he swung me around holding me tight then setting me gently on the ground again
âI canât believe youâre back, I missed you so muchâ
âJake we call almost every dayâ I laugh as he picks up my bags leading me back to the house
âI know but itâs not the same as actually having you here, plus I think itâll be good for you, I have a bunch of friends now and we do stuff all the time and theyâll love you!â He was as excited as a little kid in a candy shop and it warmed my heart, finally being back in the town I was born in, the place I only ever felt right before moving
He dropped my bags in a little room, seemingly nervous at what Iâll think of it
âI love it, thank you and Billy agains for letting me stayâ
âAnytime! Now I planned a little welcome home fire tonight for you, food, music and youâll get to meet the whole pack!â
âPack?â
âOh umm yeah likeâŚ.i mean my friends, our whole group, my friend Bella from town and some of the elders, I remember how you loved those stories theyâd tell us as kidsâ
âYou did all that for me?!â
âOf course, youâre back home where you belong, itâs only right we celebrateâ
The night came and Jake was driving us to the go to spot they had fires and gatherings, we pulled up to a big open field by a little house, a big fire already roaring bright, hearing the cheerful voices from my open window as Jake shut off the engine
âCome on whatâre you waiting for?â Jake asked from my now open door, my nerves taking hold of me not even noticing he got out and was now waiting for me on my side of the truck
âIâm a little nervous what ifâŚ.what if they donât like me?â
âTheyâre nothing to be worried about, just think of them just like me, and youâre always relaxed around me now come on letâs get some food before Paul eats it allâ his words soothed me finally coursing me out of the truck
âOh I remember Paul, he use to play with us sometimes at the beach right?â
âYeah heâs become a bit of a hot head but he means well, heâs pretty protective of things that are importantâ he said handing me a plate as we got to the tables filled with food
âHey!! Jake come over here got a spot for you!â I heard a girl by the fire say waving him over
âThatâs Bella, Iâm gonna go talk with her, mingle around these people will be in your life as long as you live with meâ he smiled soothing my worries as he walked off
I picked up a chocolate chip muffin and placed it on the plate when someone spoke next to me
âHey you must be the girl of the hour, Iâm Emily Jake hasnât stopped talking about you since he found out you were moving here, Iâm glad to finally meet you!â She smiled giving me a warm motherly vibe
âItâs nice to meet you too! Thank you for coming I canât believe everyone came just for me, Iâm excited to reconnect and meet everyone!â
âCome on Iâll introduce you aroundâ she brought me around, I met Seth Clearwater who wasnât even born before I left but I remembered his sister Leah as well as Embry, I talked to Billy and the elders a bit before we moved on to the next
âHey Paul! Remember y/n and few of the others do already!â
âHow could I forget that little rascalâ he laughed as he looked up at me from his plate, his smile dropping as we made eye contact, his plate crumbling to the ground
Everything felt still, this connection and pull I felt to him like heâs the only thing the matters, that no matter what happens or where I go Iâll be safe and loved, he drops to his knees as I place me hands on his shoulders, admiring his features heâs changed so much, so tall so muscular so handsome, the chatter around us stopped feeling everyoneâs eyes on us but I donât care all I care about is this moment
âNo no no no NO, Paul really? Out of everyone it had to be my best friend?â Jake fumed snapping us out of this strange trance
âLike I can help it, but Iâm not complaining sheâs beautifulâ he said making my heart thump
âUmmm what just happened?â The confusing starting to set in
âRight, I wouldnât expect you to remember, come on weâll tell you everythingâ Jake grabbed my hand and sat me next to him at the fire, Paul quick to sit on my other side, his body heat relaxing me
The âpackâ went on to tell me everything, that the legends were true and most of the people including my best friend was a shifter, a wolf, it was hard to believe I mean wolves? But it wasnât until they told me about imprints and that I was now Paulâs, but it didnât feel wrong it felt completely right, like magically I was whole again
Everyone looked at me expectantly, anxious and waiting expression on everyone
âI know itâs a lot and we understand if you need time honeyâ Billy said comfortingly
âNoâŚâŚIâm fine really, I actually feel the best I have in a long timeâ I smile sheepishly as my cheeks rush with heat
âThat makes sense, itâs said that if youâre separated from your soulmate even if not imprinted yet it drains you and now that youâre back, youâre where youâre suppose to beâ Sam stated as he squeezed Emilyâs hand
I look next to be to Paul whoâs rough exterior I always remembered was gone now replaced with adoration as he looked at me like I hung the moon in the sky
âWould you like to go talkâŚ..privately?â I asked
âIâd loved to Angelâ he took my hand and led me away from the fire to the house, it was cozy just like Jakeâs home, well mine now too
âSoooo I guess Iâm your soulmateâ
âIâve been waiting for you, I always did have a crush on you when we were younger, always got jealous when Jake would talk about youâ he smirked as he brushed back my hair
âReally? You had a crush on me?â
âAlways, missed you a lot when you left, tried to forget about you but I never could get you out of my head, felt like something was missing with you gone and now I know whyâ
âSo what are we now?â My heart thumping fast
âAnything you want Angelâ he said squeezing my thigh
âCan we start with a date?â I ask placing my hand ontop of his that rested on my thigh
âIâd love that, how about I pick you up tomorrow at 5 Iâll plan something special!â
The clock showed 4:30 and I was a nervous wreck, this is my first date ever and itâs with a guy whoâs my soulmate and a wolf, how did my life change so drastically
I combed down my hair for the millionth time hearing Jake laugh behind me as he was sat on the bed
âAnd what are you laughing at?â
âYou, youâre fidgeting like crazyâ
âJake stopâŚIâve never done this before what if we go out and he realizes he doesnât wanna be with me, then Iâm alone againâ
âY/n/n heâs gonna love you, hell I see how jealous heâd get everytime Iâd bring you upâ
There was a knock at the door and my heart jumped, I got up and flattened down my ivory dress
âOkay how do I look?â
âYou look great now go on donât keep him waiting!â I rush to the door taking a deep breath and opening it to see Paul standing with a pair of jeans and a tight black short sleeve and a bouquet of wild flowers in his hands
âYou look beautiful wowâ he said in a daze as his eyes roamed over every inch of me
âYou donât look to bad yourself handsomeâ
âHere these are for you, but they canât compare to how pretty you areâ he said handing them over
âPaul stop youâre gonna make me blushâ I smiled placing the flowers in a little vase
âThatâs the goal, now letâs go Iâve got everything readyâ he gently took my hand leading me to the open field infront of the house
âWhereâs your truck?â
âWeâre going on footâ itâs just up the hill
We walked hand in hand for a while till we reached the cliff side with a beautiful view, there was string lights across the trees hanging over a comfy blanket with a picnic basket
âWow you did all this for me?â
âOf course and I got all your favourites! Had to get a few tips from Jakeâ he laughed as we sat down
âThis is so sweet, so far this is an amazing first dateâ I said taking a bite of a strawberry
âFirst? Youâve never been on a date before?â
âNoâŚ.ive never been interested in anyone beforeâŚ.well before nowâ I looked at him a bit embarrassed but being around him felt like heâd never judge me
âI get that, no one ever compared to how I feel for you, youâre the one, my only oneâ

casual | paul lahote x reader smut
NSFW | 18+ | minors DNI | word count: 2.38k
warnings: smut, dom!paul, slight angst, mention of fighting, i think that's it?
------
i asked you guys if i should post this now or incorporate it into ruderal, and the result was overwhelmingly to post it now, so here it is with some plot adjustments! i've been OBSESSED with this song by chappell roan and knew i needed to make it into an imagine, although this song is probably about a woman lol. highly recommend listening to the song as you read this. this is my first time EVER writing smut so i hope its not too bad - as always, let me know what you think :)
ALSO this is in an alternate timeline where the guys are all like 21+ and so is y/n :)
------
Paulâs hand lingered on your thigh as he drove the winding road back to Forks, his thumb rubbing small circles on your outer leg. the radio hummed with a song you couldnât manage to pay attention to, instead focusing your gaze on the motion of his finger on your bare thigh. while you assumed the gesture was meant to comfort you, it did a lot more than that. you hoped that the darkness would obscure Paulâs peripheral vision enough for him to not realize you were ogling his muscular arms and unusually large hands. his veins protruded in a way that drove you crazy for some reason, and as much as you were still upset with him, you couldnât help the rush of hormones that flooded at the sight.
Embry had made some stupid joke about you at the bonfire at Emily's that night, a common occurrence when you hung out with the pack. he didnât mean anything by it, you joked around with each other like that all the time, but Paul had been extra sensitive for the last few weeks as he spent more hours on patrol. Victoriaâs looming presence and the mystery murders happening around Washington meant the reservation needed increased protection, and the men in the pack had to step up. Embryâs comment led to a fight where the pair both phased, snarling and snapping until they both came to their senses and things went back to normal. you hated when Paul shifted because of you, even if it was just indirectly your fault like it was tonight.Â
you two were meant to be casual, despite Paul having imprinted on you, as you had just gotten out of a long-term relationship and werenât ready to commit to someone again. youâd been seeing each other casually for months, hanging out, and getting to know each other better. as much as you were hesitant to let him into your life completely, you couldnât deny your attraction to Paul. heâd been nothing but a gentleman thus far, bringing you flowers on dates, opening doors for you, and following your boundaries to a T, terrified to mess anything up with you. of course, his physical form was unlike anything youâd ever seen - you were lucky that he preferred to hang out without a shirt on. things had gotten hot and heavy between you two a few times but hadnât gone farther than some very intense making out. though, the way Paulâs hand touched you now was enough for you to throw those boundaries out the window; you wanted him - no, needed him.
you focused your eyes back on the road in front of you, only being able to see as far as the truckâs dim headlights illuminated. breathe in, breathe out, you reminded yourself, trying to calm down the butterflies in your stomach. you were unsuccessful, and it didnât help that Paulâs hand was inching closer and closer to your hips.
suddenly, his hand snaked further inward and his grip tightened, engulfing your inner thigh. your breath hitched, and you unsuccessfully tried to mask it as a cough. you saw Paul smirk out of the corner of your eye, but he didnât look over at you.Â
you once again reminded yourself to breathe as the ache between your legs became more apparent. his hand loosened its grip and continued its journey towards your core. half of you thought about stopping him purely as punishment for fighting with Embry, but the much louder other half wouldnât dream of it right now.
you couldnât help but let out a small groan as his hand finally reached your jean shorts, his fingers tracing the seam that ran between your legs. the slight pressure he applied drove you absolutely crazy as you wished for more friction.
the sound that escaped your lips seemed to do something to Paul as he let out a breathy groan of his own. âalright, thatâs it,â he mumbled, turning the wheel toward the side of the road. he must have known exactly where you were because he easily pulled the truck behind a set of bushes that obscured most of it from the road. any passerbys, which were few and far between at this time of night anyway, wouldnât notice the vehicle.
almost as soon as he slammed the gear shift into park, his lips were on yours. he kissed you with a passion youâd never felt before. you melted into his lips, reminding yourself for the third time that night that if you didnât start breathing, you would pass out. he gripped the back of your head, tangling his fingers in your hair as you continued to make out. his other hand traveled down your arm, to your hip, and unbuckled the seatbelt youâd been wearing. in one swift, but slightly awkward motion, he disconnected your lips for a brief moment and grabbed each side of your hips, pulling you across the center console onto his lap. you were careful not to lean too far and hit the horn with your back as you settled onto him, silently thanking Paul for owning such a spacious truck. your knees settled on either side of his legs.Â
as you sat down on his lap, you brushed his hardening length with the same seam of your shorts his hand was just on, eliciting a quiet moan from both of you. impatient, Paul once again gripped your scalp and slammed your lips together. you allowed your hands to slip underneath the hem of his shirt, feeling the outline of the muscles on his bare abdomen. this feeling, combined with the warmth radiating from his bare skin, drove you insane.Â
âtake- it- off-â you mumbled in between kisses, tugging the hem upwards. you were unsure of where the forwardness came from, but you didnât stop long enough to be embarrassed.Â
âyou donât get to tell me what to do,â he snarked half-jokingly but obliged.
the moonlight streaming in from the windshield was just enough for you to be able to see the outline of his pecs and abs, and you really couldnât help but stare.
âlike what you see?â he chuckled, noticing your eyes widening at his physique.
you nodded, unable to form words, instead opting to smash your lips back together with all of the strength you could muster. youâd had enough of looking flustered - you wanted to take initiative.
you raised your hips again, pushing your abdomen against Paul's and lowering yourself onto his member. you rocked your hips back and forth as he moved his lips down your cheek, then your jaw, and eventually to your neck. the friction as you continued to grind against him elicited a low growl against your neck as his lips attached to your skin. you moaned embarrassingly loudly as he sucked at the delicate skin, but you couldnât find it in yourself to be sheepish. in fact, the only emotion surging through your body right now was pure desire for the god-like man leaving a series of hickeys on your neck.
âPaul, thatâs gonna leave a mark,â you whined. you knew youâd regret letting him do it in the morning but right now you wanted nothing more than for him to mark you as his. you wanted to be his.
âdonât want anyone else getting any ideas. youâre all mine,â he retorted, lifting his head up to look you in the eyes. his were almost completely black with lust. âsay it.â he commanded, holding your jaw tightly in his hand. âsay youâre mine.â
âiâm all yours, Paulâ you panted, your hips continuing to move back and forth on Paulâs lap as you stared into his dark eyes. despite your relationship still being undefined, truer words had never been spoken.
âgood girl. now shut the fuck up and get back in the passenger seat.â his harsh words did nothing to discourage you from obeying as you scrambled to sit back where you were a few minutes prior. this was a side of Paul you had only seen when he was angry: dark, commanding, dominating. usually, you would have to try to calm him down when he got like this, but right now, you were very much enjoying him telling you what to do. you already missed the warmth of his body on yours as you climbed back over to the other seat, but you instinctually knew better than to voice your complaints right now.
Paul leaned across the console, reaching his hand between your knees and under the seat to move it back as far as it would go. once he was satisfied with that, he reached across your lap and pulled the reclining handle, his other hand helping to lower the seat back slowly so you werenât sent flying backward.
âscooch backâ he ordered again, and you moved your hips backward on the seat, supporting yourself with your elbows on the very edge of the seat near the headrest.
you were confused as he opened the driver-side door and hopped out of the truck. you watched as he opened the passenger-side door, it becoming clear now what his plan was. you pulled your knees towards your chest as he climbed back in, kneeling on the floor mat in front of you. god damn, this truck was spacious, and you were incredibly grateful for that right now.
his large hands fumbled to unbutton your shorts. he pulled the zipper down and you lifted your hips, followed by your legs, so he could slide them off. not wanting to wait another second, he pulled your underwear to the side and connected his thumb to your clit. you let out a loud gasp at the sensation and he chuckled proudly, knowing how good he was making you feel. Paul rubbed small, tight circles on the sensitive nub for a few seconds before you felt a finger dip into your wet folds. a guttural moan escaped your throat as you finally got the sensation you had been waiting for since his hand had rested on your thigh earlier in the night.
he added a second finger shortly after and continued to pump in and out of your heat, his thumb continuing its circular motions on your clit. you could feel your orgasm building inside of your core, and it was almost euphoric knowing it was Paul making you feel like this.
âPaul, iâm gonna-â you moaned, getting close to the edge. âwhat the fuck?â heâd removed his fingers altogether upon hearing this and you were not happy about it.Â
âpatience, princess.â he chuckled, making eye contact with you once again as he raised his fingers to his mouth to taste you on them. you were still pissed at him for teasing you like that, but the sound he made as he licked your wetness off himself almost made it worth it. almost.
âletâs take these off, shall we? or should i rip them off?â his fingers slipped under the waistband of your underwear.
âdonât you dare,â the one rational brain cell you had left replied, lifting your hips for him to slide them off like he did the shorts. you liked this pair. Paul held your hips back down as he spread your legs open, leaning his torso over the seat until you could feel his breath between your legs, amplified by the wetness that had come with the teasing.
âgod, you look so fucking goodâ he took a second to admire the sight before him before he groaned lustfully and connected his tongue to your cunt. he made quick work of finding all the right spots to hit, causing your legs to tremble and your eyes to roll back in your head. at this rate, you wouldnât last long, but you never wanted this moment to end.
âoh, fuck,â you moaned as he continued to circle the sensitive nub with his tongue. you had never felt this connected to someone before, not any of your exes. no one had ever made you feel as good as Paul was in this moment. as he continued the motions of his tongue, you realized Paul was perfect for you in every way, including this one. it was like pre-nut clarity.
you felt the pressure building up again, somehow even stronger than last time, unable to contain your moans. âfuck, Paul, iâm gonna cumâ you groaned, arching your back against the seat as Paul continued to hold your hips down harshly against it. you figured there would be bruises there tomorrow, and the thought of him marking you up even more only exacerbated your growing orgasm.
âcum for me, princessâ Paul mumbled against your clit, giving you permission to let go. it only took a couple more swipes for you to come completely unglued against his mouth.
Paul gradually slowed down his motions, guiding you through your orgasm as your hips attempted to buck against his face, craving the stimulation. eventually, your brain started to function again, and the first thing you thought was that that was definitely the best orgasm youâd ever had. you couldnât tell Paul that, though - it would boost his ego way too much, and he already had a huge one to begin with. the second thought that went through your head was that you were ready for Paul to be your boyfriend. no man could eat you out that good and get away from you.
he admired his work as you panted in front of him, a smirk of pride on his face. he loved knowing he was the one who made you feel so good. he raised himself up on his knees to hover over you, one arm resting on the seat to support himself as the other snaked behind your back to pull you to his chest. you wrapped your arms around his back, settling your face in the crook of his neck. your breaths were soon in time with each other, basking in the body heat radiating from the both of you.
you could have stayed like that forever, but after a few minutes, Paul pulled back slightly to look you in the eyes. he seemed deep in thought before he smiled and opened his mouth to ask you a simple question: âis it casual now?â

Understanding - Paul Lahote X Fem!Reader
A little break up, make up one shot while I work on part two of stay đ as always, let me know what you think! 2.4K Words â¤ď¸
You had been understanding. You had been so, incredibly, unbelievably understanding. You had been kind, patient, considerate. You had thrown every insecurity away in your mind. You shoved your feelings right down your throat.
But that was over with now.
Now, you faced him. In the middle of the yard, your throat agonizingly raw from yelling. You were shocked he hadn't phased yet, but he knew the minute he did you would take off. The pack, watching from afar and unbeknownst to you, were also shocked at his restraint.
"I would NEVER do anything to hurt you. Why won't you believe that?"
You laughed wetly through the tears. You were down right manic over what he didn't comprehend.
"Really?? You don't understand why I would be upset by ANY of this? Are you that fucking blind?"
Paul huffed through his nose, attempting to control his temper.
"I have a job, Y/N. There's new bloodsuckers popping up every day now and we have to make sure we're ready for anything. That means stacking up our numbers against them. Guy or girl, they have to be trained."
You scoffed, rolling your eyes,
"And don't you find it at all peculiar that everyone else is out on their own but you're STILL having to train this same girl? DAY IN AND DAY OUT?!"
He sighed.
"She should be ready, I know. But every time we get on patrol, she gets fearful and fails at basic exercises. Sam has me spend extra time with her."
You threw up your hands as if the answer was obvious, "Then TELL Sam to have someone else take a turn?"
"She only likes training with me."
Your eyes went wide, and all you saw was red.
"AND THAT DOESNT GIVE YOU ANY FUCKING CLUE THAT MAYBE SHES FAILING ON PURPOSE FOR YOUR ATTENTION? THAT MAYBE SHE DOESNT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT IMPRINTS? THAT MAYBE PERHAPS SHE HAS DIFFERENT INTENTIONS?"
Paul shook his head, him now scoffing.
"It's actually really hard to learn to navigate being a wolf. That's something YOU don't seem to understand."
You think you had lost your mind. It seemed as though the world crumbled around you, his words ringing in your ears from the impact. That was not something the imprint you knew before this would have ever dared say to you. It wasn't that you believed Paul would ever be disloyal, but your instincts were damn sure this girl wanted him to be.
You nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat.
"You're right. I don't. You need to be with someone that understands. We're done."
Paul stepped back like he had taken a blow to the chest. His eyes softened now.
"You....you don't mean that."
You headed towards your car, not being able to face the broken look in his eyes.
"Y/N, wait," he reached out, and even though you were mad, a part of it killed you to deny him.
You shook your head, new tears rehydrating their original streaks.
You sniffled, and took a deep breath.
"I'm tired, Paul. I'm tired of waiting up for you. I'm tired of being left unanswered for hours. I'm tired of making plans that just get canceled. Im tired of being lonely. And most of all, I'm tired of being disappointed."
He grabbed your arm before you could fully get in, and you saw Sam emerge, still at a respectable distance from the two of you.
"Baby listen, okay, I'm sorry. I can do better I-"
"You've said that before Paul. This is not the first time we've fought about this."
Tears pricked the corners of his eyes now.
"Please. Don't." He whispered.
He almost made you cave. You so badly wanted to stay. But you also knew if you did, it would be the same reoccurring cycle. He had to know you were serious. You wanted the relationship you had before she came along. Until you were sure you would get that again, you had to leave.
"I have to go. Call me when your priorities change." You said as you gently pulled out of his grip and shut the door. And with that, you took off to your father's place.
-
Paul stood planted in the same spot you had left him, shattered. What had he done?
He felt a small hand on his shoulder, a feminine voice in his ear,
"Maybe it was for the better. She seems like a total bitch."
Paul's blood turned cold. It was as if in that very moment, he had come to his senses. The smoke had cleared in his crowded mind. You were right. Of course you were right. All the stress that had been on his plate, he hadn't been thinking clearly at all.
He came to realization now, and it was too late.
Paul yanked away his arm, turning with a fury in his eyes to the woman behind him. She shrunk back under his gaze, feigning an innocence he knew good and well was all fake.
He trembled with anger, barely registering that Sam was now in between him and the girl. Paul pointed a finger at her, teeth gritting with anger.
"Get. The FUCK. Away from me."
Paul ripped apart as he phased, having it bottled up for far too long, and dashing off like a mad man into the woods.
The woman gaped like a fish, starting to babble, turning to Sam for reassurance.
"I didn't do anything I-"
Sam huffed a breath through his nose, "You heard him. I think it would be best if you left. Embry's cousin or not, you are no longer welcome here. That's an order."
Sam shook his head, running a hand through his hair as she stormed off. He felt guilty for letting it get like this. He had some suspicions about her joining the pack, seeing as she was always gravitating towards Paul, but he had shrugged it off, too occupied with everything else going on.
Sam also knew too well what it was like to hurt an imprint. Physically or emotionally, the bond felt all the same. Strict alpha or not, he valued Paul as a brother, and just hoped you would come back for him.
-
As Paul laid his head onto his pillow, he watched the days go by before him. Being forced to come eat dinner by Emily and whenever he had patrol were just about the only times Paul left his bed. He would call you once a day, sometimes with a small hope you'd answer, and sometimes just to hear your voicemail. After his patrol shifts ended, he would often sneak off to your house, just to make sure he'd know you were safe, if even from a mile away.
-
"Do you think she'll ever come back?" Kim asked Jared quietly one day, after watching Paul barely eat his food and sulk back up to his room.
"I don't know honestly. Y/N is just as stubborn as he is. But I do miss him. I've never in my life seen Paul like this. His internal thoughts are depressing as hell..."
Kim sighed, "It's not like she's doing any better. She finally answered my call yesterday, and I had to double check who I was talking too. She's miserable, Jare."
He shrugged, "I mean what can we do about it babe? You can't get involved in people's business like that."
"They're not people. They're family." She mumbled as she clutched her coffee mug.
-
Another week had gone by, the pack all sitting in the kitchen getting ready to eat.
"Boys. We have information on the new vampires in town," Sam announced as he walked through the door with Jacob.
"They're after Bella. She had a run in with that red head we keep chasing to the border every night. Her boyfriend had tried to kill her so the Cullen's killed him, and now this bitch is assembling an army to take her out for revenge." Jacob relayed.
This grabbed Paul's attention. If they were after your sister, that meant you were in danger.
"We're going to help them fight. Our people are at risk if we let this get out of hand, or if the Cullen's lose. But until the army comes here, we're going to be sharing shifts with them to watch over the Swan house," Sam said, looking at Paul who was heading out the door.
"Paul."
"You can watch Bella from a distance. I'm taking my imprint home," he slammed the front door.
"I can't imagine that's gonna go good." Embry mumbled.
-
Your body jolted upright from the couch at the abrupt knocking on the front door. You hadn't been expecting anyone, Bella out doing who knows what with Edward, and Charlie hours away on a fishing trip.
Opening the door your breath caught in your throat.
"What are you doing here?"
"We have to go. Now." He said sternly, ignoring your bewildered look as he flew past you and up the stairs to your room.
"And just who the hell do you think you are?!" You stormed after him, appalled he was barging in your house like this.
"There's an entire army of vampires on the hunt for your sister. You're not safe here, I'm taking you to Emily's." he said as he grabbed a suitcase and started throwing random clothes in.
"You don't own me Paul Lahote. I'm not going anywhere with you." You crossed your arms as you looked at him incredulously.
He refused to look you in the eye as he spoke, his breathing heavy from your scent,
"It is still my job to protect you whether we're together or not. You don't have to talk to me at all if you don't want too, and you can sleep in the spare bedroom" He said as he continued to pack.
You laughed.
"Come to Emily's with her there? I think the fuck-"
"She's not there anymore."
"Ohhhh so because she's gone you care about me again."
He stopped, this time turning to look you in the eyes for the first time in two weeks.
"Don't you ever fucking say that. I could give a shit less about her. It's always been you. I'm....look, I'm sorry I didn't make you believe that before. You were right. And I was so unbelievably wrong. I understand why you don't want to be with me anymore. I'm not asking you to forgive me. Im asking, just for the time being, that you do this so that I know you are safe....please."
You wish you could have stopped the tears that welled up in your eyes. A part of you wanted to stay mad forever, just to make a point. But the other just wanted to wrap your arms around his neck and kiss him. Two weeks felt like two years apart from him, and your heart so desperately ached to be near him again.
"Fine," you whispered.
Paul looked like he wanted to say something more, his eyes lingering on yours, but he decided against it, zipping up your bag and heading to the truck.
-
Once you both arrived to Emily's the pack headed out to train with the Cullen's, leaving you both and Kim at the kitchen table.
"So you guys.....didn't make up?" Kim asked disappointed.
You shook your head, "He just wanted me here. He apologized and said he wanted me to be safe. It was left at that."
Emily reached her hand over into yours,
"Do you want to be with him?" She asked genuinely.
"I.....I mean," you sighed. "Of course I want to be with him. I just was so angry, you know?? I didn't like feeling that way in our relationship. Alone."
The girls nodded understandably.
"If it helps, he's been an absolute wreck without you. I think if anything it was a wake up call." Kim offered.
"I haven't been exactly living the best either," you slightly chuckled.
"Well. We are more than excited to have you back in the house. That being said, I'm going to need both of your help with dinner." Emily smiled as she looked at the clock, standing up.
You grinned, happy to at least be here with your friends.
-
It was the night before the fight. Everything was quiet, but you lie awake, your mind racing. You hadn't said much to Paul in the three days you were here. There were lingering stares, brushing past eachother occasionally in the hall, but no conversations had been had. You felt a pit in your stomach at the idea of this fight. What if something happened and you never got to see him again? What if the last thing you had between you two was this awkward tension? The more you thought about it, the faster the tears spilled down your cheeks. You sniffled hard.
A gentle knock at the door startled you, getting up you frantically tried to wipe them away.
There he stood on the other side, leaning against the frame. His eyes looked so exhausted, like he hadn't gotten sleep either in days. "Whats wrong?" He said softly, taking a look at your face.
His gentle voice was enough to send you flying into his embrace. You arms wrapped around him as you sobbed into his neck.
He held your waist as he walked you both backwards into the room, shutting the door. His hand caressed your face as he leaned his cheek on your forehead.
"Hey, hey. Shhhh. I'm right here. It's okay. You're okay. You're safe."
You leaned back just enough to look at him, shaking your head. Your voice was broken and trembling,
"I-I don't care that I'm safe. T-tomorrow. A-and you. What if we never-"
Paul used both hands to cradle your face.
"Hey. Listen to me. Everything will be okay. This is what we've been training for. It's us and the Cullen's against them, our numbers are stronger. I'll be fine, alright? I'm just happy you're here and away from harm."
"I can't live without you. I love you." You whispered.
Paul instantly kissed you. It was like a wave of relief and happiness washed over you as you kissed him back with every ounce of passion you could muster.
Both your tongues danced as you refused to pull away from eachother. Paul bent down only for a moment to hoist you up in his arms, taking you into his room instead.
Unfortunately due to advanced hearing, the house was no longer quiet that night.

Twilight Imagines- Jasper x Reader
Curiosity
[Masterlist]
Requested by: @futurequeen2018-blog
âAre you sure you want to come?â Bella asks me as we had just gotten into her truck. âIsnât this against your guys' agreement or something?â Starting up the vehicle but also not glancing my way. I hum softly, not really knowing how to respond. It is against the treaty to go on one anotherâs land they claimed.Â
Technically on the other hand if they get permission it is different. And I have permission from the one and only. Carlisle Cullen. I know my family would be angry.Â
Very angry. But what they donât know wonât hurt them. âJust go, questions will be answered in due time.â I joke with Bella, snapping my seatbelt on. Surprisingly she takes it and reverses out of my motherâs driveway.Â
The only reason I got permission from the vampire was because I was with Bella when Edward came over. I pleaded with her boyfriend to let me talk with his âdad.â I needed to know their side of the story. Everyoneâs history. I believe my people of course. I had to know more. I got to call the sculpture of a man. His voice was sultry, smooth and almost angelic. I felt safe instantly and I now understand why Bella trusted them so.Â
I explained my curiosity, my interest in learning about them, he told me the dangers. On both sides. I knew what I was getting into. It wasnât difficult to push though, with a sigh from him he told me I was welcome to come over with Bella, to keep it a secret.Â
âWeâre here.â Her voice startles me, my eyes widen but I quickly calm myself. Giving a small smile and exiting the loud red vehicle. âOh.â I mumble, slamming the door shut behind me. Four of the Cullenâs were already outside to greet us. Edward rushed to his lover as I walked toward the other three. Carlisle reaches a hand out and I take it. Curtly shaking it, then letting it drop to my side. âAn honor, [Name].â He nods his head, I do the same. âThank you.â I say.Â
âThis is Esme and Emmett.â He introduces me to the pretty duo beside him. His wife and other âSon.â Esme gives me a gentle smile, not offering her hand though. âNice to meet you again.âÂ
Oh, right. Weâve met before. âYes, it is.â I attempt a smile but now Iâm beginning to wonder if this was such a good idea after all. âDonât go all wolf on us now, come inside.â Emmettâs voice booms loudly, motioning for me to follow him. I glance back to Bellaâs red truck then over to Carlisle who gives me a reassuring expression. I let out a breath, letting my feet take over.Â
As beautiful as their house is outside itâs even more gorgeous inside. I soak everything in, my eyes wandering everywhere. I notice the other three Cullenâs in the living room as we get to the kitchen. They were talking amongst themselves. The blondeâs beauty was almost overwhelming and then my eyes landed on the other girl. Her eyes are already piercing into mine.Â
Once she sees me look at her she gives me a genuine smile which I wasnât expecting. I smile back, shortly waving. As I went to look at the guy he was walking away. Seemingly⌠upset? âHi, Iâm Alice! You strangely donât smell awful.â The girl from before is now in my face and I take a step back, alarmed.Â
â...hi, and thanks?â I shyly respond. Jacob told me they despised wolves, why are they being so nice to me? âIt is weird that you smell decent.â The blonde interjects the conversation that I think I was going to have with the short brunette. âUm- I donât know how to respond to that.â I awkwardly chuckle, avoiding eye contact with them.Â
âI thought it was just going to be Carlisle and I.â I rub the back of my neck, changing the subject. I didnât expect to meet everyone. Well almost everyone since that one guy didnât want to meet me. For some reason it kind of hurt my feelings? I donât understand why.Â
âThat is what was supposed to happen but they are nosey. Felt entitled to meet you.â Carlisle steps in, placing a hand on my shoulder. âOh, well if they want to stay for the time being I donât mind hearing everyoneâs side of things. Thatâs why Iâm here.â I smile, folding my arms in front of my chest, mainly to comfort myself. âIf youâre alright with it.â He repeats, I glance at everyone who was kind of staring me down. I swallow thickly, looking back up to him. âItâs fine.â I almost whisper. âLetâs go to the couch, to get more comfortable.â Esme leads the way into the living room. âIâm Rosalie by the way.â The beautiful woman says, nudging my arm. â[Name].â I say back.Â
We all sit down as a group, except Emmett who stays standing behind his wife. Rubbing her shoulders every now and then.Â
And this is kind of how itâs been since that day. We talk in the living room of their house, telling me their stories. Carlisle always has more to say due to being the eldest out of all of them. Hearing the heartbreaking things theyâve been through to be who they are now just makes me not understand why we hate them so much. Not all of them are evil, just like not all humans are evil. Itâs a 50/50 chance to meet someone bad. You never truly know who you are going to meet. Itâs scary but thatâs the price of living. Or not living in their cases.Â
Everytime I come over, thereâs that one guy who always leaves the house. I learned his name is Jasper. Thereâs only been two times where he has stayed, Itâs not for a long time either. For thirty minutes at most and it seems like if I look at him too much he tenses up and thatâs what causes him to leave. I ask Rosalie and Alice about him quite a bit. Curiosity getting the best of me. Emmett makes fun of me, telling me I have a puppy crush on him. Insulting if you ask me.Â
Alice always tells me itâs nothing personal with him; he just has a hard time opening up to people. Especially when he finds them interesting himself. Or threatening and I hope itâs the first one because I only want to be his friend. Like I became with the three, more Rosalie, kind of Emmett as well.Â
Alice has been leaving with Jasper more recently, I donât know why. She didnât explain it but I can tell something serious is going on. Something to do with Bella. No one will tell me anything though. I think itâs because of me being a wolf.Â
With that being said itâs also been hectic at the Rez. Paul, my cousin keeping a closer eye on me. Making me stay with the pack to train. Again it is kept a weird secret against me. Until I found out from Jacob and Leah talking. Some vampire is making an army of newborns to kill the Cullenâs. Wanting Edward and mainly Bella dead. Theyâre tracking her scent and everything, someoneâs been in her room.Â
When I found out I ran to my car, driving to the Cullen's place, I didnât know someone was following behind me though. Shoving my gear shift into park I run up to the front door, knocking like a mad man. The door opens and I immediately begin talking. âWhy didnât anyone tell me thatâs what weâre training for? Supposedly I was training to literally do nothing too.â I glare at the person before me. It was Jasper. When my eyes landed on him something felt different. The world getting brighter. My heart rate quickened. My breathing stunted. âI- What?â I whisper, before I can say anything else though I hear a scoff behind me.Â
âAre you kidding me, [Name]!?â My cousin Paul shouts behind me, Jasper and I look at him with wide eyes. âI donât know what happened! Wait! Calm down!â I step off the porch, Jasper right next to me, trying to explain what I just did. Weâve never even talked to one another and I just imprinted on him. How stupid am I? Can a wolf even do that with a vampire? Is that natural? Is that okay?Â
âYou imprinted on a vampire, [Name]. What the fuck is wrong with you?â He screams in my face, Jasper places a hand on my cousinâs chest. âHey, itâs not her fault and you know that.â He sticks up for me. I tense up as Paul glares at him. âDonât touch me, freak.â He shoves the guy. I feel my skin get hot.Â
âDonât touch him!â I scream and push Paul back, causing him to stumble.Â
All of a sudden Iâm not onto the steps of the porch, hurting my back. I look back to see the Cullenâs getting in defensive stances. My eyes go back to the guys in front of me. Paul backs up and I think heâs going to walk it off but instead he runs back toward Jasper, shifting into his wolf form. Jasper braces himself for impact but I quickly get up shifting in my own form. Attacking Paul from the side.Â
Both of us get up after rolling in the dirt. I shake it off, getting in front of Jasper protectively. Baring my teeth at my cousin. Snapping when he gets too close. âYouâre going to fight for him over your own family!?â He questions me. âHeâs my mate now, I have no choice.â I growl. He gets close to me but I snarl. Standing my ground. âItâs in our rules. You canât harm my imprint, Paul.â I remind him. He attempts to get at me again but when I donât move he pauses. Not responding to me. Just staring me down. I do the same, not losing my stance. Then suddenly he huffs, running off.Â
I look back to the Cullenâs whimpering as an apology, bowing my head down. Closing my eyes. Not believing the mess I just made. How could I imprint on Jasper? Why did I have to do that!? He probably resents me now, I screwed up my every chance of being normal to him.Â
âItâs okay, hun.â A country accent rips through the air, a hand petting under my chin and I look up to see Jasper giving me a gentle smile, his dimples forming. âYou did nothing wrong, [Name].â Edward tells me, shocking me. I just wish I was in my human form but I know if I shift back Iâll be naked.Â
âGo get her a blanket.â Jasper says, as if he was reading my mind. I know he can feel my emotions, but not read my thoughts like Edward. Alice comes toward me with a large blanket, wrapping it over me back giving me enough privacy to go back to my human form.Â
When I do I grip the blanket, covering myself. âThank you.â I huff, feeling sweaty and gross. âNo problem, love.â Jasper helps me up, keeping an arm wrapped around me. âI understand if this is weird for you.â I automatically say to him. He breathes out a quiet laugh.Â
He looks around at the others, giving a look as if to tell them to leave us for a moment. They do so, going back inside. âWe never even spoke and now weâre supposed to be mates.â I drop my head, embarrassed with myself. âItâs definitely interesting.â He squeezes me closer to him.Â
âDonât you find it weird?â I ask, hiding my face in the blanket, we both sit down. âMm, I was fond of you before you imprinted. I think this just gives me a push to get to know you.â He tells me, I gasp quietly, still hiding my face though.
âYou were?â
âYeah, nerves got to me, I couldnât read your emotions when you looked at me. You were happy when you spoke to everyone but when you looked at me it was confusion..? I donât know.â He explains. It grows quiet as I begin to register what heâs telling me. âCan I see your face?â He asks. I slowly do it, looking up at him.Â
âYouâre embarrassed.â He states. My face grows warm. âWho wouldnât be in my position? Iâm naked and I just imprinted on this handsome guy that also happens to be a vampire?â I dramatically explain, almost dropping the blanket but he lifts it back on my shoulder before that happens, leaving me with an even warmer face. âDonât be embarrassed. Iâm happy with what happened.â He stares into my eyes to prove his being genuine. âAre you sure?â I quiz.Â
âPositive.â He snickers. âCan I kiss you?â I blurt out, only making him laugh more. âYes, you can.âÂ
I reach out with a covered hand and touch his face, pulling him into a kiss.

âBella, maybe Jake just wants to be alone- or maybe some guy time.â Y/n suggested it to her slightly older sister. Bella and Y/n were hardly even a year apart in age but that didnât stop Y/n from occasionally getting treated like a baby compared to Bella.
Y/n knew Jake and Bella had been spending a lot of time together recently and it seemed to be good for her sister after the Cullens left. But Jake had become sick or at least that's what he and Billy had been telling Bella. Y/n wanted to just leave it, heâd come back on his own either way. But her sister, no Bella , needed answers now and she wasn't going to wait to get them on Jacobs time.
Bella shook her head with a tight expression on her face. âNo, Y/n. Something's up. Somethings wrong I can feel it.â
âBella, weâve both known Jake practically our whole lives maybe heâs just-â Y/n shook her head lifting her hand in q wave motion before dropping it down to her lap. âI donât know, going through puberty?â
âHis dad keeps saying he has mono but itâs been almost 2 weeks and he wonât even answer texts. Let alone calls.â Bella explained further as she pulled into the Blackâs driveway.
âMaybe heâs still sick.â Y/n tried one last time as Bella put the car in park.
âWell, we're going to find out.â Bella stated before she got out of the car.
Y/n unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car to chase her sister muttering to herself. âThis isnât gonna go well.â
Bella knocked on the door and shortly after Billy opened the door. Bella had told the man in the wheelchair that she needed to see Jake, but all she got was that he wasnât there. Next thing Y/n knew her sister had welcomed herself into the home practically going right over Billy.
âBella.â Billy called after her but it was too late and Bella wasnât listening anyways.
âIâm sorry, Billy.â Y/n said apologizing for her sister's actions.
Billy let out a sigh and sent a tired smile to the younger Swan. âDonât worry about it, Y/n.â
It wasnât even a few minutes later that Bella stormed out of the house and Y/n followed yelling after her. âBella!â
âHey!â Bella shouted and shoved one of the shirtless males Y/n somewhat recognized. âWhat did you do to him?!â
That's all Y/n could really hear from so far back. So she shouted out to her sister again, hoping to defuse the situation if she couldnât just get her to leave. âBella!âÂ
âY/n wha-â Jake spoke out suddenly standing beside the Y/h/c-ed girl.
âShe dragged me here with her.â That's all Y/n had to say for Jake to understand what was happening. Charlie got Y/n in the devoirce so Y/n and Jake grew up together their whole lives as siblings in Forks. They could understand what the other was saying with just a look.
Jake nodded before looking back at the scene and then pointed âAnd that?â
âShe slapped that Paul guy.â Y/n told him and that changed his demeanor.
âCrap. Y/n, stay back.â Jake said as he noticed Paul shaking.
Y/n wondered why but then she made eye contact with the Paul guy her sister was taking her anger out on. It was as if time showed for a minute. All the members of the pack put it together, and that's when Jacob flipped and inevitably so did Paul.
Seeing them turn into giant wolves Y/n ran to her sister. âBella, you okay?â Her attention was drawn back to the wolves fighting not far from everyone. âWoah. Now that's cool.â
âReally, Y/n?â Bella asked, turning her head to face her sister in disbelief at how her sister wasnât scared.
âWhat?â Y/n shrugged. In her opinion that was cool. Way cooler than Vampire super speed, the eyes, and sparkling under the sunlight someone dumped a 1,000 pounds of glitter on you. The Paul guy and Jake turned into Wolves! And not just wolves, Giant wolves. That's impressive.
âWhat just happened?â Bella asked Sam Uley she believed his name was. All the while Y/n was confused as to the looks she was getting from the others, a few she had grown up with just like Jake.Â
âPaul imprinted.â Sam stated looking at Bella. Then Jacob came out of the woods still looking pissed off.
âOn Y/n.â Jake grumbled, clearly pissed off at the new found fact.
âTake her back to Emilyâs. Bella too.â Sam told Jacob which resulted in a very loud scoff from the younger male. âThat's an order Jacob. Embry go with them.â
âHey, Em.â Y/n nodded to Embry. They have been friends for years. It brought comfort to Y/n, knowing someone else. Someone that wasnât pissed that would be in the car with her, her sister, and Jake.
âHey, Y/n/n.â Embry smiled. He had missed seeing her around since he phased.
âWhy is Jake so pissed?â Y/n asked Embry hoping he could fill her in on what's going on exactly.
Embry sighed before explaining. âHim and Paul donât get along, and heâs protective of you. As he should be, you're like brother and sister.â
âWhy would he be protective over me when it comes to Paul? Iâve never met Paul before.â Y/n squinted with a furrowed expression as she questioned Embry confused.
âPaul should be the one to explain it to you. Itâs not my place, or anyone else's in the pack.â Embry felt bad for Y/n. She had no idea what was going on and it very much involved her. But like he said it wasnât his place to explain any of this to her.Â
Y/n nodded in understanding, kind of. But maybe he could explain something else to her. âCan you explain the pack part to me then?â
Embry nodded with a smile stretching across his lips. âYes, I can do that.â
It wasnât a long drive but long enough for Embry to explain about the pack to Y/n.
âWhoâs place is this again?â Y/n heard Bella ask and she listened for Jakeâs answer.
âEmily and Samâs.â Jake answered as he got out of the truck.
Jake and Embry helped Y/n off of the truck bed. With a quiet thank you from Y/n they all headed inside. The only ones that werenât there was Sam and Paul. But it didnât take long for them to join in on the group.
âCan I talk to you? Outside. Alone.â Paul asked nervously looking softly at Y/n, to let her know she could reject his request if she wanted to. Y/n nodded âyesâ getting up to follow him.
âOver my dead body.â Jake growled, glaring with his eyes set on burning holes into Paul.
âJake.â Sam said his name firmly. Making Jake stand down. For now.
âCome on.â Paul nodded his head towards outside Y/n nodded as well and followed him outside the small nice home.
They walked into the woods for awhile, Y/n assumed long enough to be far away enough so the rest of the pack couldnât hear their conversation. âSo, I assume that they explained the whole pack thing to you?â
âEmbry did, yeah. But not the imprint part?â Y/n spoke with a unsure tone, hoping she got the word right. Paul nodded with a twitch of his lips. âNot the imprint part. What is that by the way?â
âGuess I should explain that part then.â Paul smiled, hearing her just say the word of what she is to him. That made him feel warm on the inside, which was a new feeling for him. He did like it though.
âEmbry said it was only your place to tell me what it is.â Y/n looked to the still shirtless male with curiosity. What did it mean? What did it have to do with her? And why did Paul have to be the one to explain it?
âI have a spot Iâd like to take you, and Iâll explain on the way.â Paul suggested there was a place he wanted to show her that only he knew about. Great view that he never that he never showed anyone.
âOkâ Y/n knew she was being way trusting with this stranger. But he felt trustworthy. She didnât know why but he does.
Paul stopped them for a second in their tracks. He really needed to know something and it was bothering him that he didnât. âI do have a question before we get too far that I should know that I do not.â
Y/n let out an amused breath before asking. âAnd what's that?âÂ
âYour name.â Paul smirked
Y/n nodded with a smile. âY/n. Y/n Swan.â
âWell, Y/n Swan. Itâs nice to finally meet you.â Paulâs smirk fell into a smile. He always teased the others who already had their imprints about how whipped they were, but now he was starting to understand.

Chapter One - Surprising
Tough Love Masterlist
âI donât know, I just kind of let her do her thing. I love the girl but sheâs kind of a lost cause.â You shrugged and Leah looked up to where Bella and Jake were chatting in the booth opposite them.
âYou donât think itâs weird? That she goes from screaming nightmares to as normal as she gets in a few weeks?â Leah asked and you could only shrug again.
You couldnât lie and tell her you knew how Bellaâs brain worked. Your sister was a mystery to you as much as your mother always had been. You supposed you had been lucky when Renee lost the fight against the temptation to leave and could only mentally cope with one child. The quiet one.
Not to say you had been in any way wild. You had just been older. Set in routine and able to voice your opinion. And your opinion was that your dad was your favorite. A fact Renee never liked.
So every summer you trekked to Arizona where Bella and Renee had ended up and spent two weeks with them only to trek back down with Bella so she could spend her time with Charlie.
It had never been a particularly enjoyable time for either of you. So when Bella packed up and moved to Forks you had already expected to have distance between you both. Adding Edward Cullen to the mix only made things worse.
You could never have expected Bella to shack up with Cullen, much less go batshit insane over him. You would never forgive your sister for the torment she was putting Charlie through every day she grieved a dumb high school fling.
So you escaped her. Escaped her zombified state in the damn chair in her bedroom. Leah had been your saving grace. Harry and Charlie had shoved you both together as kids and the bond had stuck, bringing you to their door whenever you couldnât stomach looking at Bella.
Although heartbreak was still prominent in the Clearwater home, at least Leah had a reason to be so cut up. Sam and her had plans. They had been together for years. Not a matter of months like Bella and Edward.
You couldnât help but wonder had you and Bella been raised together would you offer her the support you so readily gave to Leah. âI think sheâs found a new boy to focus on.â
Leah tilted her head from side to side as she considered your answer. You didnât really believe the idea yourself but it was strange, how completely Jacob had turned your sisterâs mental breakdown into a memory.
âThe kid must have game.â Leah said and you snorted in laughter, your milkshake dribbling pathetically down your chin. âYouâre disgusting, you freak.â
âYouâre the one thinking weird thoughts about a kid!â You argued and Leah only rolled her eyes. âGonna have to warn my dad what youâre up to.â
âShut up, havenât you got work? Those tents ainât gonna sell themselves.â She teased and you looked at your watch before sighing.
âCause you ainât got a boat to be fixing with your dad, little Ms Nepo Baby.â You scoffed, shoving your way out of the booth. âYou think she even noticed I was here?â
âAh, the nepotism of the boat rental business. A true life of luxury.â Leah knocked you with her elbow. âShe hasnât noticed you once her life. Why would she start today?â
Your smart reply for Leah died on your tongue when three tall shirtless men entered the diner, staring off to the side. Leah dropped her head, her long hair falling to cover her face.
You scoffed, side stepping Paul LaHote with a scowl. Less than a year ago Paul was a minor annoyance for Sam. Someone he had a rivalry with in high school. Now they were best friends and Sam had dropped Leah and picked up her cousin. It was enough to sour your good mood.
âDonât.â Leah grabbed your wrist when you paused. She knew you wanted to give Sam another piece of your mind. She had stopped letting you when you almost ran him over at the beach a few weeks before.
You rolled your eyes before turning to glare at Sam one last time but Paul moved between you both, staring you down in challenge. Youâd like to think you won when his jaw fell slack and he stumbled against the table.
âFuck those guys.â You huffed once Leah had dragged you out the door. âHope they catch a cold.â
âDamn killer, take it easy. Not a cold.â Leah laughed but it was strained. âGo to work. Earn enough money so I can quit my job and become a stay at home best friend.â
âBest friend? Youâre not even in my top three.â Her laugh was less strained when you both parted ways and you blew her a kiss across the car lot, smiling when she pretended to bat it away.
âŚ
âCan you watch my lane for a few?â You looked up from the schedule you had been trying to organize and blinked at Mike who was trying to look a lot more innocent than he was.
âA few? Like say, ten minutes?â You asked and he shrugged. âOr enough time for me to realize youâre skipping the last thirty minutes of your shift?â
âIâll do a double next Friday to bail you out if you let me go now?â He offered and you sighed.
âYour name is above the door, kid. I donât care if you cut or not. Ainât like I can fire you.â You shrugged and locked your computer.
âAwh, donât be like that. Dad would quicker fire me and adopt you if he thought Charlie wouldnât notice. Best assistant manager heâs ever had apparently.â You laughed and shooed Mike out the door, heading for his lane which had conveniently cashed up and gotten ready to hand over.
Friday night wasnât typically busy in the store. Not many people needed last minute hiking attire for the weekend and so you had time to finish up the schedule that had been bothering you and change the displays in the store windows before you were interrupted by a customer.
Not just a customer though, your sister.
âEverything okay?â You asked her warily. Talking to Bella in the last three months was almost like talking to a wall if the wall had the ability to start screaming at a pitch only dogs could hear.
âJust looking for some new boots.â She hummed and you nodded slowly, pointing her in the direction she needed.
You werenât entirely sure why sheâd need hiking boots. Bella and the outdoors werenât exactly well acquainted.
And yet she reappeared with the boots and shelled out the cash for them with barely an extra word. To an outsider it would be impossible to tell you knew each other, never mind that you were sisters.
You watched her leave and huffed a sigh. Youâd mention it to Charlie in passing. See if he knew why she suddenly wanted to hike with all the recent bear spottings in the woods.
âŚ
Jared was laughing. His whole body shook with it, so much so that Paul could feel the vibrations from where he paced in Samâs back garden. Heâd been stuck as a wolf for almost an hour now because every time he calmed down Jared would piss him off again.
âThe only person-â a fit of laughter interrupted Jared trying to make his point. âThe only one that hates us more than Leah and you imprint on her.â
Paul dove for Jared and once again Sam got between them. Paul growled at Sam, backing off once more. He was going to be stuck as a wolf forever at this rate.
Jared controlled himself enough to phase and all three of them padded into the woods.
So what are you gonna do?
Paul sighed at Jaredâs question, dropping down to his belly and putting his paws over his eyes as if it would quell the urge to go and look for her.
You need Billy or Harry on your side. Itâs your only hope.
Paul lifted his head and looked at Sam who was watching Paul carefully where he lay in the dirt.
Why them?
Charlie, Billy and Harry raised those girls together. You remember how attached Rachel, Rebecca and Leah were with her. Those men will know how to get you in her good books.
Paul considered Samâs words and huffed a sigh when he realised he had no other choice. If he wanted to get to know you then something drastic had to change.
âŚ
Harry laughed until he was bowed over and then told him to go away. Paul understood, things were less than amicable between the pack and Leah which in turn affected Harryâs ability to help when he didnât feel he was needed.
It was still fucking annoying.
So Paul found himself sitting at Billy Blackâs kitchen table and telling the whole story from start to finish. When he relayed the last detail he sat back and watched Billy process everything.
âYou boys can never do anything the easy way.â Billy sighed and ran a hand over his face. âShe might hate the wolves more than even Leah. She considers that girl her sister. And watching the hurt Leah suffered because of the imprint bond, well it changed things.â
âI will do anything Billy. Just to be able to have a five minute conversation with her. Itâs been two weeks and I havenât seen her.â Paul sighed, his exhaustion ringing out in every word he spoke.
âWell, we need to plan carefully-â
The front door opened after a short knock and Paul held his breath when your voice called out for Jacob and then Billy.
âHey, old man. Whereâs your kid?â You turned the corner and paused when you took in the scene in front of you. Paul couldâve cheered when you didnât immediately glare at him.
âHe and Bella went out early. I donât know where. Why do you need him?â Billy didnât acknowledge that Paul was in the room and he was grateful because it gave him a chance to just watch you, absorb all the details he had missed before.
âMy car is doing that stupid thing again. The gear shift keeps getting jammed in reverse.â You sighed and Paul raised his eyes to the heavens above and thanked every spirit there was.
âI could have a look at that, if you need?â He offered quietly and you looked him over, blinking as if just remembering he was here.
âYou?â Paul didnât know if the disbelief was because he dared speak to you or because you doubted his ability.
âI uh, pick up a shift or two in the garage just off the Rez. If you can spare the afternoon I can bring it up now and fix it?â Paul wasnât sure when he turned into this quiet, meek man. He hadnât been unsure of himself in a long time.
âIâve got work. This afternoon.â You explained and Paul shrugged.
âIâll head up there with you? Take the truck back to the garage and have it back to you before your shift is over.â Paul tensed every muscle in his body and begged the spirits to keep his luck moving.
âJake wonât be back until after dark. Theyâve been doing this for days.â Billy encouraged and Paul couldâve kissed the old man. Instead he vowed to serve him for eternity.
âYouâre sure you can fix it today?â You asked and Paul released a breath. âCause I can just wait for Jake if itâll take you too long.â
âTwo hours, three at a push.â You considered his answer before glancing at the clock on the wall and back to Paul.
âAre you ready to go now, then? Iâve got work in forty minutes.â Paul jumped out of his chair and it clattered to the ground causing everyone to flinch.
âSorry. Sorry.â He picked the chair up and smiled sheepishly at you. âIâm ready when you are.â

Old Friends, New Dangers

a/n: Yall... I cooked with this one omg. Like as soon as it turns October, my urge to write Twilight fanfiction becomes so extreme. I used to write them all the time on another account, but I don't use it anymore. Anyways... Enjoy <3
summary: paul imprints on someone unexpected
word count: 4.1k
-
The air was thick with the mist of the Pacific Northwest as Y/n moved swiftly through the towering pines. Her heightened senses caught every rustle of leaves, every breath of the wind. Forks had always felt suffocating, even when she visited the Cullens long ago. Today, it was a reminder of the family she hadnât stood with when they faced their greatest threat.
The guilt sat heavy in her chest like a stone. You shouldâve been there, she thought. They needed you.
But her own crisis had been just as consuming. In truth, she had barely survived her encounter with the rogue coven that had hunted her for years. The Volturi battle hadnât been the only war in the world, and Y/n had been fighting her own.
Y/n caught her reflection in a passing creek and paused, crouching by the water. Her deep brown skin glowed faintly in the dim light, and her eyesâstill a vivid crimsonâstared back at her. The Cullens had always been different, with their golden eyes that symbolized their vegetarian lifestyle. She couldnât deny the hunger that burned in her throat. A hundred years of resisting temptation, and yet, she still wasnât one of them.
Her long, layered silk press flowed around her like liquid ebony, even in the dampness of the forest air. She ran a hand through it absentmindedly as she sighed. She would never fit in perfectly with the Cullens. Thatâs why she left. Thatâs why she was a nomad.
But Carlisle had always been kind, and she owed him an explanation.
-
The Cullen mansion appeared like a shimmering beacon amidst the treesâmodern, sleek, and yet hidden in the remote woods of Forks. Y/n approached cautiously. It had been too long, and while she trusted Carlisle, the others might not welcome her as easily.
As she neared the house, she slowed, her footsteps becoming light, barely touching the ground. Before she could reach the porch, a flash of movement caught her eye. Edward, unsurprisingly, was the first to appear. He stepped out of the shadows, his golden eyes scanning her with cautious intensity. Y/n could feel his mind brush against hers as he tried to read her thoughts.
Edward, she mentally projected, I'm not here to cause trouble.
His expression softened slightly, but not by much. Bella emerged from behind him, holding Renesmee close. Her face was stoic, protective.
Y/n gave them a small smile, trying to appear as non-threatening as possible, but the tension was unmistakable.
The front door opened, and Carlisle stepped out, his face breaking into a gentle, welcoming smile. "Y/n," he said warmly. "Itâs been too long."
Y/n felt a wave of relief at his tone. âCarlisle,â she breathed, stepping forward. She hadnât realized how much she had missed his calm, fatherly presence. She could feel the eyes of the rest of the family from the windows insideâAlice, Jasper, Emmett, Rosalieâall watching her, assessing the potential danger she posed.
Esme appeared beside Carlisle, her expression equally warm, though tinged with concern. âWeâre glad to see you safe,â she said softly, her kind eyes studying Y/nâs features.
Y/n swallowed the knot in her throat. âIâm sorry I wasnât there,â she started. âWhen the Volturi came. I should have been here, butâŚâ
Carlisle shook his head, his smile never wavering. âYou had your own battles to fight. I understand.â
âStill,â Y/n continued, âI shouldâve done more. I let you all down.â She looked at him, guilt in her red eyes. She hadnât even realized how heavy the burden was until she was standing before him.
âIâm just glad youâre here now,â Carlisle replied, putting a hand on her shoulder in that reassuring way he always had. "What matters is that youâre safe.â
Edward, still tense, stepped forward slightly, eyeing Y/n with suspicion. âItâs not just the past we need to worry about,â he said, his voice low. âYouâre still hunting humans, arenât you?â
The air froze around them. Y/n couldnât deny it, even though the accusation stung. She had never fully embraced the vegetarian lifestyle the Cullens so strictly adhered to, and that was something she had wrestled with for years.
âI am,â she admitted, her voice steady but guarded. âBut Iâm not a threat to you. Iâve always respected your way of life, even if I canât live it.â
Bella frowned slightly, her arms still wrapped protectively around Renesmee. "It's not just about us," she said. "The wolves...theyâre still patrolling. You know how they feel about vampires who arenât like us."
Y/nâs brows furrowed. She had almost forgotten about the Quileute wolves, the natural protectors of this land. They were bound to sense her presence soon, if they hadnât already.
-
Moments later, as if on cue, the unmistakable sound of paws hitting the earth reverberated in the distance. Y/nâs sharp senses picked it up immediately, and she tensed. The wolves.
Jacob, accompanied by two others, was running toward the Cullen home, his expression as intense as ever. One of the wolves shifted mid-run, and a shirtless man stood before them in seconds. His dark eyes immediately locked onto Y/n, a defensive scowl crossing his features.
Paul.
He was as she remembered himâfierce, quick-tempered, and ever-ready for a fight. His muscled frame was tense, and even though he stood in human form now, the aggression in his posture was undeniable. Y/nâs presence alone was enough to set him off. She could sense it, the way his heartbeat quickened, his fists clenching at his sides.
âWhatâs she doing here?â Paul growled, his voice dripping with hostility.
Jacob stepped in front of Paul, placing a hand on his chest to calm him down. âSheâs not a threat, Paul. Relax.â
But Y/n could see it wasnât that simple. Paulâs eyes flickered between her and the Cullens, mistrust etched into every line of his face. She could feel the heat of his anger from where she stood, but something strange rippled through the air between themâan unfamiliar, electric pull.
For a moment, their eyes locked, and Y/nâs breath hitched. She had been around enough wolves to know their instincts were unpredictable, but this⌠this was different. She could feel Paulâs emotions crackling in the air, but underneath the aggression, there was something else. Something raw, primal, and entirely unexpected.
Paul took a step back, his expression shifting from anger to confusion, as though he were fighting something within himself. His jaw clenched, his fists tightening. âNo⌠no way,â he muttered under his breath, his voice trembling with disbelief.
Y/n frowned, her brow furrowed. âWhat⌠whatâs happening?â
Jacobâs eyes widened in realization, and he turned to Paul, his expression one of shock. âPaul⌠did you just imprint?â
Paul's face paled, and his body went rigid. The fury in his eyes had been replaced by sheer confusion, and for the first time since Y/n had met him, Paul looked⌠vulnerable.
Y/n felt her stomach drop, her vampire instincts screaming at her to run, but something deeper, something more human, rooted her to the spot. She didnât understand what had just happened, but she knew it had changed everything.
-
The tension hung thick in the air, thicker than the mist swirling through the trees around the Cullen home. Y/nâs mind raced, trying to comprehend what had just happened. Imprintingâa bond she had heard of only in storiesâhad been something she never expected to encounter, let alone be the center of. But there was no mistaking it. The way Paulâs aggressive stance had melted into confusion, the raw emotions flickering in his dark eyesit was undeniable.
But she was a vampire, and he was a wolf. This shouldnât have been possible.
Paul stood frozen a few feet away, his broad chest heaving as he struggled with the same realization. Y/n could see the conflict written on his face, his entire being torn between his natural instinct to hate her and this newfound, overwhelming need to protect her. She didnât know what to make of it, and judging by the way he was clenching and unclenching his fists, neither did he.
Jacob, standing off to the side, broke the silence first, his voice low but firm. âPaul, you need to calm down.â
âIââ Paulâs voice cracked, as though the words were stuck in his throat. He took another step back, shaking his head like he was trying to wake up from a bad dream. His gaze darted toward Y/n, then back to Jacob. âThis canât be happening.â
Y/n shifted uncomfortably, the weight of everyoneâs eyes on her. The Cullens were watching with concern, and she could feel Bellaâs protectiveness radiating toward Renesmee. Even Edward, though usually composed, had a look of uncertainty about him. Everyone was waiting to see what she would do next.
She was waiting to see what she would do next.
Her throat tightened, and she took a cautious step forward. âPaul... I donât know what this means either. But Iââ
âDonât,â he interrupted, his voice harsh as he glared at her. âJust⌠donât.â
The sharpness in his tone stung, but Y/n understood. Paul had always been quick to anger, but this was different. He was terrified, and the idea of a connection to someone like herâa vampire, someone his kind was sworn to protect againstâhad to be shattering everything he thought he knew.
Carlisle, ever the diplomat, stepped between them, his voice calm and measured. âI think we should all take a moment to process this. This situation is⌠unprecedented.â
Paul let out a bitter laugh, rubbing a hand over his face in frustration. âUnprecedented? Carlisle, sheâs not supposed to be here! Sheâs dangerous!â
Y/n felt a flare of indignation rise in her chest, but she bit back her retort. Paul wasnât entirely wrong. She wasnât a vegetarian like the Cullens, and her bloodlust was a constant battle, especially around humans. The wolves had every reason to be wary of her.
âIâm not here to cause trouble,â she said, her voice steady despite the storm brewing inside her. âI came to apologize to Carlisle and the Cullens, not to be a threat to anyone.â
Paulâs jaw clenched as he stared at her, something unreadable flickering in his eyes. âThen why does it feel like everythingâs spiraling out of control the second you show up?â
-
Paul couldnât breathe. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw her faceâthose vivid red eyes, her smooth dark skin, her presence that now felt like a gravitational pull he couldnât escape. And he didnât know if he wanted to.
He stormed through the trees, Jacob jogging behind him, trying to keep up. Paul could hear his thoughts, trying to calm him, trying to make sense of the situation, but it wasnât working. Nothing made sense anymore. He had spent years hating vampires, especially ones like Y/n who fed on humans, and now, fate had decided to tether him to one?
âPaul, slow down!â Jacob finally called out, stopping a few feet behind him.
Paul stopped abruptly, his hands shaking as he ran them through his hair, tugging at it. âWhy her?â he growled, his voice barely above a whisper. âOf all peopleâwhy a vampire?â
Jacob exhaled, walking over to him slowly. âImprinting doesnât care about stuff like that. You know that better than anyone.â
âYeah, but this is different,â Paul snapped, turning to face his alpha. âThis isnât some random human girl. Sheâs a predator.â
Jacob crossed his arms, his gaze serious. âAnd yet, you canât hurt her. You feel the need to protect her, right?â
Paul said nothing, but his silence was answer enough.
Jacob placed a hand on his shoulder, his voice softening. âI know this is a lot, Paul. But imprinting isnât something you can fight. You know that.â
Paul clenched his fists. He didnât want to protect Y/n. He wanted to push her away, to stay as far from her as possible. But every time he thought about leaving, something deep inside him rebelled against the idea. His instinctsâthe ones that had guided him as a wolf, that had kept him aliveânow screamed at him to stay close to her, to make sure she was safe.
âHow the hell am I supposed to deal with this?â Paul muttered, more to himself than Jacob.
Jacob sighed. âYouâll figure it out. But whatever happens, weâve got your back. Just⌠donât do anything stupid.â
-
Y/n had never felt so out of place in her life. She stood in the living room of the Cullen house, her back against the cool glass window as Alice sat perched on the edge of a couch, watching her with curious eyes.
âYou okay?â Alice asked softly, breaking the silence that had settled between them.
Y/n sighed, rubbing her forehead. âHonestly? No. I have no idea what just happened out there.â
Alice gave her a knowing smile. âImprinting is... complicated. Even for us, itâs hard to fully understand. But from what I can see, Paulâs entire world just got flipped upside down.â
Y/n couldnât suppress the scoff that escaped her lips. âWhat about my world? I didnât ask for this either.â
Aliceâs smile faded slightly, and she stood up, moving to stand beside Y/n. âI know. But the imprint bond... itâs powerful. Its not something that can be easily ignored. I think, deep down, you feel it too.â
Y/n glanced at her, frowning. âWhat are you saying?â
Aliceâs eyes were gentle, but firm. âYou feel it too, donât you? That pull. Like somethingâs shifted inside you.â
Y/n opened her mouth to deny it, but the words wouldnât come. She did feel somethingâsomething strange and new, a connection she didnât understand. And that terrified her. She had spent years avoiding attachments, running from anything that could make her vulnerable. Now, she was bound to a man who was sworn to hate her.
âI canât,â Y/n muttered, shaking her head. âThis isnât... Iâm not someone who can just fit into this world. Iâve always been on my own.â
Alice touched her arm gently. âYou donât have to be. Not anymore.â
Y/nâs red eyes met Aliceâs golden ones, searching for some kind of reassurance, some way to make sense of the chaos swirling inside her. But there was no easy answer.
âI donât know if I can do this, Alice,â she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Alice smiled softly, her gaze understanding. âYou donât have to figure it all out right now. Just... take it one step at a time.â
-
Later that night, Y/n found herself wandering through the woods outside the Cullen house, her mind still spinning with the events of the day. The sound of footsteps behind her made her stop.
She didnât need to turn around to know who it was.
âPaul,â she said, her voice quiet.
He stepped into view, his expression a mixture of anger and frustration, but something else simmered beneath the surfaceâsomething softer, more vulnerable.
âWhy are you out here alone?â he asked, his voice low but intense.
Y/n crossed her arms, her eyes locking onto his. âI needed space. Everythingâs⌠complicated.â
Paul let out a harsh laugh. âYeah. No kidding.â
They stood in silence for a moment, the tension between them thick and unspoken. Finally, Paul broke the silence.
âI didnât ask for this,â he said, his voice rough. âThis... connection. I donât understand it. I donât want it.â
Y/nâs chest tightened. âYou think I do? I never asked for any of this either. But itâs happening, and we have to deal with it.â
Paul looked at her, really looked at her, for the first time since the imprint. His eyes softened, and for a brief moment, the anger drained from his face. âI donât know how to do that.â
Y/n took a deep breath, her heart racing in a way it hadnât since she became a vampire. âNeither do I.â
They stood there, two enemies bound by fate, neither knowing what the future held. But one thing was clear: neither could walk away, no matter how hard they tried.
-
The silence between Y/n and Paul was thick with unsaid words, the night air around them charged with tension neither of them fully understood. They stood just inside the tree line, the Cullen house glowing softly in the distance, but it might as well have been a world away.
For the past few days, since their initial confrontation, Y/n had kept her distance from the Cullens and the wolves. She spent her nights wandering through the forest, wrestling with the unfamiliar pull of the imprint. Paul had been keeping his distance too, but she could feel himâhis presence, his emotionsâlike an invisible tether, always pulling her back to him no matter how far she tried to run.
Now, here they were again. Neither able to stay away. Neither able to make sense of it all.
Paulâs dark eyes flicked up to meet hers, something raw and vulnerable in them that hadnât been there before. He took a step closer, and she held her ground, though every instinct in her told her to back away.
âWhy do I feel like this?â Paul muttered, his voice thick with frustration. âI canât stop thinking about you, even though I donât want to.â
Y/nâs chest tightened. She felt the same wayâan inexplicable need to be near him, to protect him, to make sure he was safe, even if it made no sense. But she wasnât about to admit that. Not yet.
âI donât know,â she said quietly. âMaybe⌠maybe itâs the imprint. Maybe itâs messing with both of us.â
Paulâs jaw clenched. âItâs more than that. I canât even think straight. All I know is Iâm supposed to be near you, and itâs driving me insane.â
Y/n exhaled sharply, crossing her arms defensively. âI never asked for this, Paul. I didnât ask for you to imprint on me. Iâve spent my entire life avoiding connections like this. I donât do⌠attachment.â
His eyes darkened, his frustration shifting into something more intense. âYeah, well, neither do I. Iâve spent my life hating vampires. And now Iâm stuck feeling like I need to protect one.â
She felt the sting of his words, but she couldnât blame him. He had every right to be angry, just as she did. But this was their reality now, and neither of them could escape it.
They stood in silence for a moment, the weight of their shared predicament pressing down on them like a suffocating blanket. Then, Paulâs voice broke through the stillness, softer this time.
âI donât want to hate you.â
Y/nâs eyes snapped to his, surprised by the vulnerability in his voice. âWhat?â
Paul ran a hand through his hair, exhaling harshly. âI donât want to hate you. I donât know what the hell this is, but⌠I donât want to fight it anymore.â
Her heart pounded in her chest, confusion swirling inside her. She had spent so long building walls around herself, protecting herself from feeling anything too deeply. But here was Paul, someone who should have been her natural enemy, standing in front of her, telling her he didnât want to fight anymore.
The walls she had built felt fragile now, crumbling in the face of something neither of them could control.
âI donât know how to do this,â she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Paul stepped closer, so close she could feel the heat radiating off him despite the cool night air. âNeither do I. But weâll figure it out.â
-
The next day, Y/n found herself back at the Cullen house, standing in the middle of the living room, surrounded by the wary eyes of the pack. Jacob had called a meeting after Paul admitted to the imprint, hoping to ease the tension between the wolves and the vampires. But Y/n could feel the distrust thick in the air.
Sam stood at the front of the group, his arms crossed, his expression unreadable. He had been quiet since she arrived, listening to everything with a cold, calculating look. Y/nâs gaze flickered to Paul, who was standing off to the side, his eyes constantly darting between her and his packmates. He looked on edge, like he was waiting for something to snap.
âWe canât just ignore this,â Sam said, breaking the silence. His voice was calm, but there was an undercurrent of steel in it. âPaulâs imprinted on a vampire. A non-vegetarian vampire.â
Y/n stiffened, feeling the weight of their eyes on her, judging her. She wanted to defend herself, to argue that she wasnât a threat, but the truth was more complicated. She wasnât like the Cullens. She had fed on humans, and even though she had never hurt anyone near Forks, it was hard to deny what she was.
âI know what I am,â Y/n said, her voice steady. âIâm not like the Cullens. Iâve made mistakes. But Iâm not here to cause trouble. I came here to apologize, and now Iâm just trying to figure out how to deal with⌠this.â
She glanced at Paul, who met her eyes with a look that told her he was as confused as she was.
Jacob stepped forward, his voice more diplomatic. âImprinting is out of anyoneâs control. Weâve dealt with this before. You all know that.â He glanced meaningfully at Sam. âWeâve had other imprints that broke the rules, but we found a way to handle it.â
Samâs expression didnât soften. âThis isnât the same as imprinting on a human. Sheâs dangerous.â
Paul growled softly under his breath, his protectiveness flaring up. âSheâs not dangerous to me.â
Samâs eyes snapped to Paul, his expression hardening. âAre you willing to risk that?â
Y/n tensed. She had been around the pack long enough to know the importance of the alphaâs word, and Samâs opinion carried a lot of weight. If he decided she was too much of a risk, it would put a strain on the tenuous peace between the wolves and the vampires.
âI wonât hurt him,â Y/n said quietly, her voice firm. âI donât know what this imprinting thing means, but I know one thingâI donât want to hurt anyone. Especially not Paul.â
The room fell silent, the weight of her words sinking in.
After what felt like an eternity, Sam finally nodded, though his expression remained guarded. âFor now, weâll keep an eye on the situation. But if anything changes, if you put anyone at riskââ He let the threat hang in the air.
Y/n didnât need him to finish the sentence. She understood the stakes.
-
Later that evening, Y/n found herself standing at the edge of the woods again, staring out at the fading sunlight. She had always found comfort in the stillness of the forest, but tonight, her mind was restless.
Paul appeared beside her, silent as ever. She didnât turn to face him, but she could feel his presence like a flame burning beside her.
âAre you okay?â he asked after a long pause.
Y/n shrugged, keeping her eyes on the trees. âI donât know. Everything feels... different now. I donât know how to be this personâthe one whoâs tied to someone else.â
Paul was quiet for a moment, then he let out a soft chuckle. âYeah, itâs weird for me too.â
Y/n glanced at him, surprised by the amusement in his tone. âWhatâs so funny?â
Paul shrugged, a hint of a smile playing at his lips. âI guess I never imagined Iâd be standing here talking about feelings with a vampire.â
She couldnât help but laugh at that, the tension easing between them. âI never imagined Iâd be stuck with a wolf.â
They stood in comfortable silence for a few moments, both of them staring out at the forest as the night deepened.
Then, Paul spoke again, his voice softer this time. âIâm not good at this... at talking about stuff like this. But I know one thingâI canât let anything happen to you.â
Y/nâs breath caught in her throat. The sincerity in his voice, the intensity of his gazeâit was overwhelming. She had spent so long running from attachments, pushing people away, but with Paul, it felt different. It felt inevitable.
âI donât need protecting,â she said quietly, though her voice lacked conviction.
Paulâs eyes softened. âMaybe not. But that doesnât change the fact that Iâm going to protect you.â
The weight of his words settled over her, and for the first time, Y/n didnât feel the need to argue. She didnât feel the need to run.
Maybe this was what the imprint was supposed to be. Maybe this connection between them was something she couldnât fight anymore.
And for the first time in a long time, Y/n wasnât sure she wanted to.

Currently, Iâm only writing for Twilight, though Iâm getting back into some older hyperfixations again and am considering writing for them, too :)

Requite | Chapter 1

Summary:Â When everything seems to fall into place in Forks, Washington, a string of mysterious deaths call the attention of both vampires and werewolves in town. As the redheaded vampire returns with her mind set on revenge, (Y/N) and Bella Swan find themselves in the center of danger once again. With secrets still lingering between them about their past best friend, they will find themselves stuck in a whirlwind of love, betrayal, and the hardest choices theyâll have to make. But one thing is certain: no one will go a day without a taste for vengeance.Â
<- Previous
Calm in a town like Forks was a mirage. Or, at times, it was simply a distraction. While the supernatural walked amongst the land, there would never be calm and tranquility. Their existence was enough to shift the balance of the universe, and it would always find a way to rectify itself. Even just a couple of days could send the small town down a whirlwind, regardless of who got caught in the middle of the current. Â
(Y/N) Swan didn't know that yet. At that moment, she thought she had faced her worst battle yet. She had survived a vampire attack; she had saved her sister from drowning in the ocean, and she had even endured an abusive relationship. There couldn't be anything else thrown her way that could be worse. Â
Or so she thought. But of course, hindsight is twenty-twenty. Â
Finals were approaching, and (Y/N) had never wanted to go back to homeschooling more than at that moment. For the better part of a year, she had been able to focus on her schoolwork at her own pace. In school, she had to submit to her teacher's pace. If she had it her way, she would have already been done with her year's curriculum. Instead, she was buried up to her nose in her and Bella's books. Â
âSo, dad gave me another letter from Jacob,â Bella muttered as she closed her history book, seemingly over the topic. âSeems he really wants to talk. Although it seems he's not sure about what.â Â
Bella passed the piece of paper to her sister, her eyes searching for any answers on (Y/N)'s face. But the younger Swan remained stoic as she perused the letter. Jacob had started over seven times, angrily scratching over every sentence until he left a vague plea to see the older Swan and explain everything that had gone down behind her back. In between strikes, he said he felt like a schoolboy asking Charlie to hand over notes. He asked her to pick up the phone. He begged her to talk to him before he talked to her own sister. Most of all, he asked her not to choose Edward.Â
Every letter for the past few weeks had been the same. Angry and desperate requests to see Bella before (Y/N) told her the truth of what he had done. Every letter was accompanied by a frenzied call, his voice always distressed and anguished over the receiver and always picked up by Charlie. And every time, he received the same answer. Bella didn't want to speak to him, and (Y/N) had not said anything. Â
The younger girl wasn't sure why she was protecting him. Jacob had done atrocious things deliberately. He had manipulated, belittled, and dismissed her for months. He had quite literally left her for dead when she had faced a murderous vampire. He had used her feelings for him to get closer to her sister. Jake had chewed her up and spat her out when he had been done with her. And yet, she couldn't bring herself to turn her family against himâmuch to Paul's dismay. Â
(Y/N) had made Paul promise he would not tell anyone what Jacob had done. Not when Bella cornered him at night when he snuck in, not when her father tried to coax it out of him when he joined them for Saturday breakfasts or Sunday dinners, and definitely not when he had asked her to his senior prom in front of both Swans. Â
âWhen are you gonna tell me what happened?â Bella asked as (Y/N) folded the note back up. âDon't you think I should know if I'm ever gonna talk to him again?â Â
âThere's not really much to say,â the younger girl shrugged as she closed the books in front of her. âI won't stop you from being his friend, Bella. Whatever happened between us happenedâit's not gonna change no matter how much we talk about it.â Â
âWhat if I just ask him about it?â her sister offered. âWill you be fine with that?âÂ
âYou can do whatever you want, Bells,â she said. âBut believe me when I say heâs not gonna tell you anything.âÂ
âDon't you think I should know his true character if I'm gonna associate myself with him?â her sister pushed, exasperated. â(Y/N), the things I know he did are bad, but I need to know the whole truth if I'm ever gonna start to think to forgive him.â Â
Before she could answer or even give herself time to make up her mind, her attention turned to a peculiar smell in the air. The sisters exchanged a questioning gaze before leaving their books on Bellaâs bed and following the scent all the way to the kitchen. There, Charlie was fanning smoke coming from the stove, the open window blowing the cloud back inside rather than helping to keep it out of the house. The smell of wood and pine mixed with the smoke in the kitchen created a choking and uncomfortable environment. Â
âWhat are you doing, dad?â Bella exclaimed as she opened the microwave only seconds before a catastrophe while (Y/N)turned off the burner their father had neglected. âTrynna burn down the house?âÂ
âOh! Girls!â he exclaimed as he finally noticed their presence. âI, uh, I was trying to make dinner.â Â
âYou put a jar of sauce in the microwave,â the older daughter sighed. âWith the lid on. Yeah, metal and microwaves don't really mix well.âÂ
âDid I at least get the pasta right?â Charlie questioned expectantly. âIt's just boiling water.â Â
âWell, yeah, but you should stir it too,â (Y/N) chuckled. âAnd maybe add enough water for the noodles inside. That usually helps the pasta not stick to the pot and burn.â Â
âI'll take that into consideration for next time.â Â
Bella and (Y/N) exchanged a worried look, knowing their father would not have been caught dead in the kitchen had he not had something to say. It was written on his faceâsomething was clouding his mind. His brow was furrowed, his shoulders were tense, and there was concern plastered across his features. Charlie had something to say, and he was trying to let it go down with a plate of burnt spaghetti. Â
(Y/N) was the first one to talk, curious about her father's behavior. âWhat's going on, dad?â she inquired as she tried to clear out the burnt sludge in the pot. âWhy the sudden need to cook us a meal?â Â
âIt's not illegal for me to make a meal,â he argued. âEspecially not in my own house.â Â
The sisters exchanged the same look once more, unsure what it could be that he was hiding. He was avoiding their gaze, focusing on the last bits of smoke that disappeared into the rainy day.Â
âYou would know, huh?â Bella teased, staring at the badge shining on his jacket. Â
âYeah,â he chuckled dryly. âGood one.â Â
Charlie was quiet after that, shrugging off his jacket and hanging it on the rack that had housed his gun sling for the better part of the week. Ever since the pack didn't have to investigate the odd slaughtered hitchhiker, no one had reported sightings of the massive, mysterious wolves. Of course, the man didn't know that, but he was glad the semblance of calm had returned to the small town. Â
Silence rained in the Swan household as Charlie sat at the table with the newspaper and Bella worked on cleaning the rest of the pasta pot. (Y/N) couldnât handle the tension, feeling herself drowning in the unease of the room. There were too many unspoken words between the three of them, and there didnât seem to be a confession coming from any of them. Â
âWell, why donât I run out to the diner and get us some food?â (Y/N) offered. âDad, thank you for trying to make us some dinner, but I would like to eat something tonightâsomething edible.â  Â
âYeah, thatâs a good idea,â he said, clearing his throat. âIs, uh, is your, uh, boy, uh, friend, uh, your friend Paul coming over tonight?â  Â
âDuring stipulated visiting hours,â she chuckled, âyeah.â Â
âAlright, get him something too, then,â her father instructed before moving his gaze back to the paper in his hands. "Take some money from my wallet. It's in the inside pocket of the jacket.â Â
âCool. I'll be back soon.â Â
âI'll call ahead, so the order is almost done when you get there,â Bella announced. âMake sure they pack my order of onion rings.â Â
"Will do,â (Y/N) said, slipping on her jacket and pulling up the hood. âBe right back.âÂ
She pulled her phone out as she made her way to her truck, clicking on the number three on her speed dial. But before the line could ring more than once, arms wrapped around her, and she was lifted off the ground. An undeniable warmth engulfed her, and she couldn't help the laugh that left her throat. âPaul,â she shrieked joyfully as he spun her around. âYou're early.â Â
âAnd you're on your way to get some food,â the boy smiled brightly as he turned her to face him. âI'll go with you.âÂ
âHow could I say no to such a tempting offer?â (Y/N) smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck before giving him a small kiss. âAnd you should be wearing a jacket in this weather. I know you don't need it, but others don't know that.â Â
âWell, I would have worn the hoodie I left in the truck, but it seems like it has a new owner.â Â
âI told you, whatever's left in the car is mine,â she grinned. âNot my fault you can't keep track of your belongings.â Â
âLet's just go get the food before your dad starts to wonder what's taking so long,â he chuckled. âI think I'm finally winning him over.â Â
(Y/N) laughed as they got into her truck. She had started getting used to Paul appearing out of nowhere, filling her quiet and empty moments with his laughter and wild occurrences. He had become a welcome constant in her life, and she couldn't remember a time when he wasn't in it. âI don't think dad will ever warm up again to the idea of another guy dating one of his daughters,â she teased. âBut if anyone has a chance, it would definitely be you.â Â
âThank you for the vote of confidence. And here I was thinking I had a leg up on everyone.âÂ
âHey, he's getting you food,â (Y/N) laughed. âHe likes you enough. At least he likes you more than Jacob. Even Bella sorta likes you.â Â
âI take it you still haven't told them what happened,â Paul asked, taking her hand in his and giving it a comforting squeeze. âAt least your sister should know what that idiot really did to you to cut him out from her life completely.â Â
âAnd what good would that do?â the girl sighed. âIt won't change what happened, nor would it serve her to lose one of the only people she can call a friend.âÂ
âDo you really think he's the kind of friend Bella should have? Should she really keep someone that would have let her sister die by her side?â Â
âCan we not talk about him?â (Y/N) argued, turning the truck into the diner parking lot. âI don't want to waste my time on him anymoreânot now and definitely not later.â Â
â(Y/N)...â Â
âNo more talk about him, Paul,â she said firmly as she killed the engine and turned to face him. âIf you mention him again, there will be consequences. Starting with locking my window at night.â Â
"You drive a hard bargain,â Paul replied while cradling her chin in his hand. âAnd it seems I don't have another choice but to agree.â Â
With a chaste kiss, they left the truck, walking hand-in-hand into The Lodge like they had done it a million times before. It was easy for everything to feel natural with Paul. Being with him made her heart feel at peace. And after all she had been through in the short time she had resided in Forks, she more than welcomed it. In hindsight, (Y/N) knew she had played a hand in all the hardship that had befallen her. She ignored how she felt about Paul; she pushed him away over trivial miscommunications, and she had stayed with Jacob for far longer than she ever should have. Â
âIs this gonna become a weekly thing, huh?â Cora, the waitress who always took their order, said with a smile. âWhat is this now three weeks in a row that you two have come in?â Â
âSomething like that,â (Y/N) chuckled. âThis time is because dad tried to cook dinner. And well, that never goes down as well as it should.â Â
âWhat'd he burn this time?â Â
âSpaghetti,â the girl smiled. âAnd he tried to microwave a jar of sauce with the lid on.â Â
âCharlie should really just stick to the police work,â the woman laughed. âAnd you came in just in time. Steak with cobbler; a double medium-well Lodge burger with extra bacon and onions and cheesy fries; a single bacon cheeseburger with cheese and bacon friends; and a veggie burgerâwhich has surprisingly become a best-seller since we put it on the menu last yearâwith onion rings. I threw in a couple of slices of apple pie slices in there for you guys. On the house.âÂ
âThank you, Cora. But could I trouble you with replacing two of the slices with some chocolate cream pie?â Paul asked, sporting his award-winning smile. âAs good as it is, (Y/N) here is allergic to apples, and I wouldn't want her to miss out on dessert.â Â
âOh my goodness, sweetheart. I completely forgot!â Cora exclaimed as she scrambled to the pie display. âTell you what, you keep those extra slices, and I'll give you three of the chocolate. And I'm gonna leave a note right here so no one forgets.â Â
âYou don't have to do all that, Cora,â (Y/N) said. âIt was an honest mistake.â Â
âNonsense, (Y/N),â she smiled. âI'm happy to do it. And between you and me, I like the chocolate one better. Your boy here has really good taste.â Â
âThat he does,â the younger Swan replied as she felt heat flush to her face. She paid for the food, handing Paul the bags as she put away the change, ignoring the teasing stare the waitress was sending her way. âThanks for everything, Cora. Iâll see you next week.â Â
âSee you, sweetie,â she called back. âSay hi to your dad and your sister for me.â Â
âWill do!â Â
(Y/N) felt stupid with how much she was smiling. Paul had remembered her apple allergy, he held doors open for her, he remembered her favorite pie. They were bare minimum standards, but she couldnât help the joy that overtook her when he did them. Paul knew her in the most simplistic of senses, and she couldn't believe she had stopped herself from feeling that way. Â
âYou remembered my apple allergy,â she smiled, bumping his shoulder as they walked back to the truck. âThank you.â Â
âI should be able to remember the fact that my girlfriend's throat could close if she eats apples,â Paul chuckled. âIt's not a fact I should gloss over.â Â
The girl stopped in her tracks at his words, realization sinking in. âWhat was that?â Â
âWhat?â Â
âWhat you just said.â Â
âThat I should know apples could possibly kill my girlfriend?â he chuckled again, unsure what he had said wrong. âWhat about it?â Â
âYou called me your girlfriend, Paul,â (Y/N) stated. âYou've never called me your girlfriend before.â Â
âOh, uh, well, you know, I didn't... we haven't had the talk but... you know,â he stammered awkwardly, his skin growing red as he scrambled for the right words. âIs it okay that I call you my girlfriend?â Â
(Y/N) smiled before standing on her tiptoes to place a kiss on Paul's lips. âIt is more than okay,â she beamed. âI like the sound of it. Especially when it's said by my boyfriend.â Â
âThat does sound good, huh?â Paul circled his free arm around her shoulders before kissing the top of her head. âNow, let's get this food to your house before your dad thinks I've kidnapped you.â Â
Like mere minutes before, Paul and (Y/N) were back in her truck, the smell of diner food filling the cabin, and heading back to the house. Just the month before, the youngest Swan could never have thought she would be where she was. With Jacob, she couldn't see farther than a couple of weeks down the roadânot that it mattered in the end. There were so many parts of her that had become overwhelmed with the darkness of their relationship, lost in the endless void that came with being close to Jake. Â
None of that mattered now, though. Happiness had found itself back in her life, and it seemed to start infecting the rest of the Swans. Charlie and Bella cheered when the couple arrived with the food, making space on the table for the bags. The older Swan girl placed the food on plates as Paul and (Y/N) served drinks for the table. Peering into the windows of the house, no one would have guessed all the pain that had led to that moment. Â
By the time they had reached the desserts, Bella had picked up her discarded Wuthering Heights book while Paul and (Y/N) whispered amongst themselves. It was a rather normal scene for a less-than-normal family. Â
âSo, um,â Charlie cleared his throat as he wiped his mouth, âI did have a reason for cooking dinner for you guys, as you may have guessed.â Â
âIs that what that smell was?â Paul mumbled. Â
Trying to stifle her laughter, (Y/N) placed a hand on his forearm and whispered, âNot right now, Paul.â Â
âAnyway, it's regarding your grounding, Bella,â the man continued, focusing his gaze on his oldest daughter rather than the boy whoâd seemed to invade his new family dinners. âIâm not very good at this whole grounding thing, and you are far too good a kid for being grounded. You haven't complained, you've come home at curfew, and that boy hasn't stepped foot in my house since he came backâwhich I much appreciate.â Â
âYou did say he couldn't come over,â Bella stated, a hint of a laugh hiding under her words. âBut I don't want him overânot for now, at least.âÂ
âWell, good. I think it's about time you were up for some parole,â Charlie said, a tentative smile tugging at his lips. âI just hope you take this time to reconnect with your old friends and focus on something other than those Cullens.â Â
Bella finally set down her book, saving her spot with a clean napkin. âI've been trying to do that, dad,â the girl admitted. âI know I havenât been myself these last few months, and I broke your trust by leaving with Alice, but I do want you to know Iâve been trying to change.â Â
âI know, Bells, and I've seen that,â he smiled. âThat's why I think it's time you get some of your freedom back. As long as you're prudent with it.â Â
âRight, no one wants a repeat of the past few months,â she laughed. âBut I do appreciate you trusting me again, dad. I promise to do my hardest to make you proud, even if it takes forever.â Â
âI'm already proud of you, Bells,â Charlie said. âI'm proud of both of you girlsâno matter what. All I want is for you to be happy and fulfilled by whatever you want in life. Especially you, Bella. Now that you're about to enter a new stage in your life.â Â
The man slipped an open envelope toward his oldest daughter while he tried his best to conceal the smile that threatened to stretch across his face. âYou opened it,â Bella noted. âThat's a felony, Sheriff.â Â
âCouldn't help myself,â her father beamed as she pulled the papers out of the envelope. âCongratulations, kid.  This is just the first of many.âÂ
University of Alaska Southeast had been one of the only colleges Bella had personally applied to. Unlike some of the schools (Y/N) and Charlie had sent applications to using some of her old essays, she knew she could get in. And it did help that Juneau was overcast most days of the year, given she didn't know just how long she had before she had to face the inevitable. Regardless of what Edward had told her, there was no way to know when the Volturi would come to make sure their word had been made law. Â
She received her sister's congratulatory hug and Paul's words, unsure how else to respond. The girl knew she should have been happierâit was her future after all. But she couldn't help the dread that filled her as she thought about giving it up. There wouldn't be any human experiences she would be able to live throughâemphasis on the human. Once she was turned into an immortal monster, that's all she would know. Â
âWhat about you, Paul?â Charlie asked, clearing his throat and breaking his oldest daughter out of deep thought. âWhat're your plans after school, kid?â Â
âUh, well,â the boy stammered, straightening his posture. (Y/N) stifled a laugh as she shared a knowing look with Bella. Their father loved interrogating anyone who stepped foot in his house, and it was Paul's turn to get a grilling. âI was, um, accepted at Western. I'm still undecided, but I'm thinking of getting a degree in Manufacturing Engineering. Still, I'll have to defer for a year.âÂ
âWhy's that?â Â
âFinancial aid only covers so much, and I don't really want to get loans,â he explained. âThe counselor at school said I could accept Western's offer and defer for a year while I worked with my dad to save up some money. That way, I'll have something to tide me over my freshman year.â Â
Paul squeezed (Y/N)'s hand under the table and fought back a smile when squeezed back, mentally repeating the script he had practiced the night before with the youngest Swan. If there was one thing she knew, it was that her father was predictable. Â
âWell, it seems you've got a good plan there,â Charlie said, sounding almost impressed. âThat's good. So, engineering, huh?â Â
The boy droned on about what he liked about the degree when Bella's phone chirped twice with a text message. Invested in their conversation, Charlie and Paul did not notice the frown that pulled the corners of the girl's mouth, an exasperated sigh escaping her lips. (Y/N) noticed, though, and she pointed toward the living room. The two sisters left the conversation about college and hoped they were just out of hearing distance for privacy. Â
âIs everything okay?â (Y/N) questioned. âWho texted?â Â
Bella handed her younger sister her phone, allowing her a moment to read. âEdward sent a picture of today's newspaper,â she said. âApparently, the deaths that have been happening in Seattle that have dad grouchy are newborn vampires running rampant.â Â
âAnd Jacob wants to talk,â (Y/N) added, feeling a knot forming in her throat. âHe's really persistent, huh?â Â
â(Y/N), you need to tell me what happened between you two.â Â
âGod, it's not gonna change anything,â the girl groaned. âWhy can't everyone just let it go?â Â
âFine, I'll drop it,â Bella said. âI'll just go over to La Push and get his version.â Â
A/N: teased y'all for long enough with that little prologue, but strap in. Waitingđ¤ Part.2
Summary: After decades of being alone without a love of his own he finally finds her in a gloomy town of forks, his brother Edward isnât the only lucky one
Pairing: Emmett Cullen x f! Swan reader
Warning: angsty, fluffy sunshine Emmett
Part.1
â˘Masterlistâ˘

Friday came and I was a nervous wreck, I didnât care to tell Bella or dad about this seeing as Bella has already distanced herself from me and I didnât wanna get dads hopes up, sitting in math class, the last class of the day I kept glancing at the clock ticking closer and closer to the final bell, trying to distract myself I delved back into the worksheet infront of me, soon enough the bell rang and my heart jumped
Anxiously I threw everything into my bag and left the school straight to the parking lot, where Emmett was leaned against his silver jeep, when his eyes landed on me that bright smile stretch across his face making his amber eyes shine
âHey gorgeous you ready for the best night of your life?â I could feel the heat rush to my face only making his smirk widen
âNot like that y/n, not yet anyways, come on hop inâ he said as he held the door open for me, quickly getting in the drivers seat next to me
âSooo um whatâre we doing?â
âThought we could go hiking, maybe get out of the cloud bank into some sunlightâ
âI love hiking! Sounds like funâ finally relaxing knowing now itâs something Iâm use to doing
He drove for a while out of forks to a near by hiking trail not commonly used by the public, we got out and started our journey
âSo tell me a bit about yourself Angelâ he said breaking the silence
âWell thereâs not much to know, Iâve lived here my whole life, my sister and mom left when I was young so itâs just been me and my dad, I became homeschooled until now and I usually just read and do homeworkâ
âNot a big social butterfly I assume?â
âNot really, what about you? Tell me everything!â
âWell I have 4 adopted siblings, Jasper, Alice, Rosalie and Edward, youâll love Alice sheâs the sweetest, I like getting out into the forest, love music and working outâ
âYeah I can tellâ I smiled glancing at his bulging muscles under his long sleeve shirt
âWoah sheâs got some fire in her after allâ he laughed nudging my arm
âWhat can I say you bring it out of meâ his hand grazed against mine until he went for it and intertwined his fingers through mine
âWhy so nervous pretty girl? Do I fluster you?â
âMaybe, Iâve never really done stuff like this but itâs niceâ I saw his features soften as he looked down at me and gently squeezed my hand
âReally? A beautiful thing like yourself, Iâm surprised you donât have boys on their knees begging for your attentionâ
âI think you have me mixed up with my sisterâ I laughed nervously
âAnd who might that be because I donât even need to see her to know your beauty is beyond anything of this worldâ
âEmmett stop youâre just trying to make me blush, and my sister is Bella, Bella swan sheâs new to the schoolâ he stopped dead in his tracks with a shocked expression
âBella is your sister, like your actual sister?â
âSo you already know her, not a surpriseâ
âNo itâs not that, my brother Edward has been after her since she came at the start of the week, kind of funny how two brothers can like two sisters, but I must say I got the more beautifulâ
âYouâre too sweet Em, I canât believe she hasnât said anythingâ
âEdward is a very awkward secretive guy Iâm sure Bella is the same way maybe thatâs why she hasnât said anythingâ
âCanât say youâre wrongâ
He looked me up and down trying to judge something, curious
âDo you trust me?â
âI only just meet you but yeah, I doâ
In an instant he flung me over his back so I was clung to him like a monkey
âHold on tight sunshineâ everything flew by in a blur, there was no shape to anything with the speed he was going, but however he was doing this it didnât scare me or make me wonder what the hell was happening, I actually felt at peace
Soon enough he stopped as we cleared the cloud bank and the sun was beaming, he placed me gently back down on my feet and turned around, his skin was like a million tiny crystals, I was in awe by how much more beautiful he became
âAre you scared?â He asked as his face scrunch with worry
I raised my hand and traced down his cheek feeling his hard cold skin
âNo quite the opposite, youâre beautiful Emmettâ
âDonât you wanna know what I am?â He asked placing his hands on my hips
âWhatever you are Iâd never judge, I feel youâd never hurt me so I donât care what you areâ
âHow did I get so luckyâ he stated as he lifted me like I weighed a feather, wrapping my legs around his waist
âWhat do you mean?â
âUs vampires have mates and the moment you bumped into me in the hallways I knew you were mine, the one Iâm meant to spend the rest of my life withâ
âBut why me, you could have anybodyâ
âYouâre everything Iâll ever need, I wish you could see yourself the way I see you Angel, and Iâll spend the rest of eternity showing you how amazing you areâ
My heart swelled with the most love Iâve ever felt and Iâm lucky enough to finally find the one who will brighten my life

------
youâd never seen Paul look so calm.
he was stretched out on your bed, your comforter resting loosely on his hips - he must have pushed it off when heâd gotten warm during the night. having a body temperature of 108 degrees was not for the weak. soft snores escaped his lips as you admired the softness of his features, your head resting on his bare bicep. youâd been like this for about twenty minutes, just admiring the beauty of your boyfriend as he slept.
your boyfriend. the word that once felt like a weight upon your shoulders was lifted now, a sense of peace overwhelming any fear or doubt associated with the term.
after your, ahem, eventful night on the side of the road, you and Paul had a long conversation about your relationship.
âis it casual now?â Paul smirked, his nose just inches from yours as he hovered over you on the seat.
âyou know, i might have to reconsider that,â you sighed, closing the distance to plant a kiss on his lips. he laughed and buried his nose in your neck, kissing the delicate skin softly.
âi had a feeling youâd say that, princess.â
the two of you had stayed up late that night, you explaining your fears about being in a relationship and him finding a way to quell each of them. how did you get so lucky?
being around Paul was like being wrapped in a warm blanket. to everyone else, he was a tough, temperamental asshole, but to you, he was nothing but perfect. it was more than just the imprint - it was your first time feeling so connected to someone, and you wanted to soak up as much of it as possible.
unfortunately, though, you knew you had to wake Paul up soon; before you left last night, you had promised Emily you would come for lunch today.
propping yourself up on one elbow, you placed your hand gently on Paulâs face, fingers gently stroking his chin as you attempted to wake him up without startling him. his face twitched at your touch and he leaned his head further into your palm, but didnât wake.
your hand slid slowly down to his shoulder, applying gentle pressure as you shook him awake. a look of confusion flashed across his face as he opened his eyes, assessing where he was. when his eyes met yours, the confusion disappeared and a smile took its place.
âgâmorning, princess,â Paul mumbled, pulling you into his chest. he let out a sigh as he got comfortable once again, apparently planning to go back to sleep.
âPaul, we have to be at Emilyâs at 11. we need to get up,â you made no effort to escape his grasp.
âfive more minutes? donât wanna let you go yet,â he bargained sleepily, petting your hair softly and planting a kiss on the top of your head. he knew he would win.
âfine, but iâm counting in my head.â
after a little more than five minutes, it was really time to get up, or youâd be late. you removed the blankets from yourself, groaning as the cold air hit your exposed legs. you untangled yourself from Paulâs hold, leaving a short kiss on his forehead as you climbed out of bed. you could have sworn you saw him blush.
your first order of business was to take a shower. youâd gotten a little sweaty last night, both for the expected reason and because your boyfriend was essentially a space heater covered by a blanket in your bed. you gathered your clothes, throwing together a random shirt and jeans, not really caring enough to put a lot of effort into your outfit today. Paul sat up on his elbows as he watched you grab a towel out of the linen closet.
âooh, taking a shower? mind if i join?â he was only half serious.
âyou wish, Lahote,â you remarked, turning around to give him a joking side-eye before you shut the bathroom door. maybe next time youâd let him.
â------
the ride to La Push was quiet, but good quiet. the quiet that happens when you feel comfortable with someone.
Paulâs eyes darted back and forth between you and the road, trying to soak in as much of you as possible without crashing the car. âyou look so good today, y/n.â he smiled, squeezing your hand softly. âi mean, you always do, but being my girlfriend suits you.â
your cheeks turned red as you looked at him, unable to hide your smile at hearing him call you that. you were his, and he was yours. there was no more uncertainty.
âi think being my boyfriend looks good on you, too.â it was your turn to make him blush.
Paul didn't let go of your hand until he had to shift the truck into park, maneuvering to the end of the dead-end street. he jogged hastily around to your door, opening it for you and helping you out of the tall truck. as soon as your feet were on the ground, he grabbed your hand again, squeezing it once as he offered you a soft smile.Â
âguys, Paul and y/n are here!â Seth yelled to the rest of the house, smiling at you both as you and Paul entered the front door.Â
âooh, y/n is here!â Embry repeated excitedly in a high-pitched voice, running over to wrap you in a hug that almost knocked you over. âi missed you sooooo muchâ you laughed awkwardly, knowing he was just doing it to piss Paul off, but wanting to avoid another fight between the two. last night had been enough.
surprisingly, though, Paul just smacked him upside the head, pulling you into his side tightly after Embry let go.
âwow, no fight about that? sheâs changed youâŚâ Embry feigned solemnness as he retreated to the dining room table. you eyed Paul suspiciously, but there was little anger in his eyes.
you and Paul moved to join the other pack members at the table, still attached at the hip. Paul pulled out your chair for you to sit before taking a seat in the one next to you, scooting it as close as possible to your side. Jacob eyed you suspiciously. you knew the boys could tell something had changed between you two, but you werenât sure if Paul was ready to get into it, so you bit your tongue and smiled timidly back at Jake.
just then, Emily rounded the corner with two giant steaming hot pans of lasagna. the smell made your mouth water; you and Paul had skipped breakfast, so you were extra hungry as you served yourself from the pan. âthis looks delicious, emily, thank you.â she smiled, appreciating the gratitude.
after a few minutes of allowing the pack to enjoy his imprintâs cooking, Sam began running through the patrol schedules for next week. it was hard to focus on his words when all you wanted to do was admire your new boyfriend, but you tried your best to remember the shifts Paul was assigned to. you didnât like asking him about the schedule a million times throughout the week.
Emily came to collect the empty lasagna pans a few minutes later, gesturing for you to follow back into the kitchen. you squeezed Paulâs arm and whispered, âiâll be back,â waiting for a nod of acknowledgement before standing up from your seat and joining Emily.
âso, what happened? you guys seem different today, in a good way. Paul seems much calmer than normal.â
âif i tell you, you canât tell anyone, Em,â you sighed, thinking of the teasing youâd get from the pack if they found out what you and Paul did last night.
âwell, if he thinks about it when he goes on patrol later today, theyâll all know soon enough.â you had temporarily forgotten this one key aspect of your boyfriend being a shifter - nothing was a secret among the pack.
âoh, god, Em, iâll never live it downâ you buried your face in your hands, cheeks burning red with embarrassment.
âcome on, y/n, if they know better they wonât say anything. especially not with Paul around.â
âi hope not,â you winced. âwe may or may not have had a⌠fun night last night, if you know what i mean, and it stirred up a lot of feelings for both of us. i asked him to be my boyfriend.â
âoh my god, y/n!!! finally!!!â Emily squealed, grabbing your hands in hers with a toothy smile on her face. you were grateful she chose not to pry on what you meant by âfun.â she surely knew what you were implying.
âdid you tell her?â a deep voice came from behind you, startling you. Paul chuckled as you jumped at the intrusion. you relaxed into him as he wrapped his arms around you from behind, leaving a kiss on your scalp before gently resting his head on it.
âabout you being my boyfriend, yes. and you better keep your thoughts quiet on what happened last night, Lahote.â
âwoah, what happened last night?â shit, of course Quil had heard that. âyou two get it on?â
âi bet they did. they donât call him âlucky Lahoteâ for nothingâ Embry added, smacking Paul gently on the shoulder. you couldnât help but chuckle at the nickname despite its implications. Paul was yours now, and you knew his days of one-night-stands were over with.
âcan you guys shut the fuck up?â Paul glared at the pair, tightening his grip on your waist slightly. âactually, what happened was that y/n finally agreed to settle and be my girlfriend - something you two idiots will never experience.â
you couldnât help but let out a loud laugh at the shocked and hurt looks on Embry and Quilâs faces, knowing neither would have a good comeback for that. they both just looked embarrassed, and you were proud of Paulâs wit. it took a second for you to realize that he had not only unashamedly introduced you as his girlfriend, but he also thought you⌠settled?
âi didnât settle, Paul. you know youâre too good for me.â you twisted in his embrace, wanting to make eye contact with him to drive the point home. he shook his head before pressing his lips against your forehead.
âi guess weâll just have to agree to disagree.â

Stay - Paul Lahote X Fem!Reader
Happy 2024! I honestly didn't know what to call this, but I just kept writing and now I'll probably need a part 2 đ enjoy đ 2.8K words
"You have no idea how excited I am. I mean just how long have I been begging you to come live with me?" Emily grinned into the phone that was tucked between her shoulder and ear. She paced the kitchen while whisking a bowl of brownie mix, mindlessly chatting away.
"I must warn you though that the house does get chaotic. But the boys are pretty good about keeping up after themselves," she said while swatting away Embry's hand that almost made a dip in the bowl. He put his hands up in self defense as she rolled her eyes.
"Sounds great. Sam will pick you up at the airport tomorrow at noon. Let me know if you need anything else, and have a safe flight. I love you!" She she set the bowl on the counter, hanging up the phone.
"Was that Y/N? She's moving in tomorrow?" Quil questioned from the table with a mouth full of chips.
"Yes, and I trust that you boys will be on your best behavior in welcoming her..." Emily raised her eyebrow as she pointed a dripping whisk of batter at all the men now surrounding the kitchen.
"Depends, is she hot?" Embry snickered as he sat down.
"Oh....she is." Quil emphasized with wide eyes.
"Get it Embry!" Paul snorted as he clapped him on the back, reaching over into Quil's bag of chips.
"They WILL be on their best behavior. And no one will be 'getting' shit." The booming voice of Sam emerged behind Emily, wrapping his arms around her torso.
He reached his head over her shoulder as she let him lick what was left on the whisk, earning a disgusted "Seriously?" from Quil.
"Hey, but what if she's my imprint??" Embry held his up his finger to argue.
"You know that would be a different story...but we know already she isn't Quil's" Sam smirked at the youngest pack members now disappointed face.
"You guys are kidding right? I've seen pictures. Shes insanely out of all your leagues." Jacob quipped as he strolled to the living room.
"Anything is better than my crushes newborn infant..." Embry muttered under his breath, making all the boys cower in laughter.
"Oh yeah? You wanna say that again?" Jacob challenged.
Sam walked around in between them, looking from side to side at them both.
"THIS is what Emily is talking about. Keep the fights outside boys. I mean it. Just because Y/N knows about the pack doesn't mean she won't get scared if you clowns nearly phase in the kitchen. Are we clear?"
The two reluctantly nodded, Jacob sulking away to the living room.
"But come on, that was kinda funny.." Embry whispered, making the other boys giggle.
Paul shook his head with a smile at his little brother, leaving the room to shower before dinner.
-
There was something about the conversation that stuck with Paul throughout the night. Since Sam had met Emily, all of his brothers wanted imprints. They all saw what it was like to have one up close, and craved it desperately. He grimaced at the thought. The idea of a "soulmate" sounded ridiculous to Paul.
The problem wasn't that he didn't believe in it. Anybody could see the intense love that imprints had for one another, their bond growing with them until old age.
But Paul was not familiar with the term love. He never did get to see the love between his father and mother. She had been his imprint, but passed long before Paul could remember much about her. He watched his father struggle emotionally, never being able to get through the grief of her loss. Sure, he raised Paul as best he could, but deep down it was his mother that would have filled the void in their quiet house.
Things did get a little brighter when Paul joined the pack. For the first time he truly felt like he was part of a real family. He came home to hot meals, genuine laughter, and lively conversation. Not only had he gained a group of brothers, but ones with unwavering loyalty. None of them ever strayed away when Paul lost control of his temper, and were the first ones to help him learn to control it.
Maybe that was the reason he never looked for anything serious when it came to women. What was the point? One little outburst and they were out the door quicker than they had come in. He didn't allow himself to feel anything for them, because they'd end up leaving, and he was saving himself the heart break anyways.
Paul lay awake that night certain about one thing, he didn't need an imprint.
-
You inhaled the crisp fall air. Smiling wide as you looked up the steps to the new home awaiting you, the patio adorned in different flowers and cutesy outdoor decor.
"Oh Em it's just how I remember. You always make it look so cozy," you said as you squeezed the arm of your cousin beside you.
She returned your same smile.
"You're too sweet. I just can't believe you're really here. Come on, I'll introduce you to the boys."
You followed her up the steps, walking through the door to the warm smell of baked goods, no doubt that Emily had been up all night. You chuckled to yourself as you remember how she would go overboard on food whenever she was excited about something and couldn't sleep.
What you weren't used to, however, was being greeted by the several shirtless men. All incredibly in shape with tattoos on their arms, you might have been intimidated if it weren't for their cheesy smiles.
Emily gestured to each of them,
"You remember Quil, and that's Embry, Jacob, Seth, andddd well," she looked around puzzled for a moment. "I guess I'll introduce you to Paul whenever he comes around."
You waved at Quil and shook the other's hands.
There must have been some sort of inside joke, because as you finished with introductions you saw Sam laugh while they collectively let out a small sigh.
You don't think you were meant to hear it, but you caught Sam whisper at Embry,
"Better luck next time kid."
Emily didn't make a big deal of whatever it was, guiding you to your room.
After you got settled in, you found yourself strolling the hallway, looking over all the framed pictures on the wall. You had been over the moon when Emily had found Sam. You've never seen her so happy before, and you could tell he looked at her in the exact same way.
Not paying attention when the bathroom door opened, you collided with a large bare chest that stepped into the hall.
You gasped as two strong arms to match caught you before you fell, luckily, and you embarrassingly faced the one man you of course had no former introduction with.
"I am so, so sorry. I-"
"No no it's fine, are you-"
Both of you started and stopped mid sentence. Your attention had been captured when you two locked eyes. It was like you had been anchored to the floor by them. This warm, fuzzy energy had your entire body buzzing. It was so silent that you could hear your own blood flow in your ears. You furrowed your eyebrows in the haze. What the hell...
"ARE YOU SHITTING ME??"
A loud voice cut through the trance and you flinched at the abrupt sound. The man held you slightly tighter for a moment, as if he was about to protect you from whatever had interrupted you both in this hypnotic state.
Turning around so you both could see that the voice had been Embry, the man looked back and quickly dropped his arms, as if he just realized he had been holding you that whole time.
An unfamiliar emptiness lingered when he let go. He quickly averted his gaze, mumbling another apology before brushing past you, into a room, shutting the door.
-
His imprint. Right there. In the hallway of his own home.
Paul couldn't breathe.
He sat on the edge of his bed, nervously running his hands through his hair in a panic.
You were beautiful.
Breathtaking.
Your smell was intoxicating and your skin was so, so very soft. Your voice sounded like an angel. Your hair-
No.
No, he couldn't let himself think like this. He didn't need an imprint. Didn't even want one in the first place.
Was this some kind of sick joke the universe was playing on him? This girl could have anyone she wants. Why him?
Emily's call for dinner had him taking deep breaths. He could do this. They could live amongst eachother and not have to talk. There's ton of people in this house, it would be rare that the two of them would ever be alone. Right? Right. He could do this.
He walked into the bathroom, splashing cold water on his face. Wake up. It's just some girl. No different than the many that he had been with. Hell, if he could have sex with someone and never think of them again, he could do it. They had barely exchanged a sentence. Barely touched. He would be fine.
-
You sat down at the table, trying to behave as normal as possible. What happened in the hall was nothing. Whiplash. Yes, it was probably the whiplash from running into him. The poor guy seemed shy, and he was most likely just as shook up as you. It was a small accident and nothing more. He certainly didn't seem angry or upset, just caught off guard.
But wow....was he handsome. Certainly more attractive than any lousy guy you'd ever been with. He had this aroma of sandalwood and forest that was enchanting.
Okay, slow down Y/N. Let's not walk in on the first day and jump on some guy. After all, you two are going to be living together. Maybe don't make him uncomfortable in his own home. You shook your head to yourself. Just forget about the whole thing and it will be fine.
Luckily, Emily had started conversations around the table, easily able to take your mind elsewhere.
That was, until he came in the room. There was a beat of silence when he entered, the other boys seeming to look at him like they were anticipating something. When he didn't make a sound or even look up to anyone, slumping at the table and taking a plate, the conversations arose again.
Dinner was excellent as usual for Emily's cooking, and besides your beating heart constantly begging you to look at the man near the end of the table, it was almost normal.
It was when Emily put delicious brownies on the table, that it took a turn for the worse.
"I'M NOT GOING TO TELL YOU AGAIN. SHUT THE FUCK ALONE ABOUT IT" Everyone's head turned to the angry voice. It was him. He was so visibly upset that he was shaking, staring daggers at Embry beside him. Slamming his fists on the table as he stood up, you let an audible gasp slip.
That's when he looked at you for the second time that night. It was a far reach, but somehow you saw his eyes soften. The crinkles of anger in his eyebrows vanished, and he swallowed, before bolting out the door. Sam immediately followed, and Emily sighed, reaching out to touch your arm.
"I'm sorry about Paul. He's very.....expressive sometimes."
Paul.
-
"Leave me alone Sam."
Paul sighed through the mind link, his large wolf racing through the trees.
He didn't mean it. He never means it. But Embry would simply not stop talking. First it was meaningless. He asked what imprinting felt like. Paul had shrugged it off as nothing crazy, hoping he'd drop it there. Then, he had asked him if he planned on pursuing the imprint. Of course he told him he wasn't. He didn't need a soulmate. No matter what his instincts told him. But then, Embry had smiled and thanked him, telling him that you were now "fair game".
That had been when he lost it.
He stopped on the edge of a cliff, breathing in the fresh water air. Sam slowly approached his side.
"Embry only said that to get a rise out of you, you know."
Paul scoffed.
"He can do whatever he wants. I don't care about her."
"Oh you don't?" Sam didn't sound so convinced.
"Even if I did, she wouldn't want me. Did you....did you see the look on her face when I yelled?" Paul replayed it over and over. You had looked absolutely frightened.
"There is a reason she was chosen to be your imprint Paul. You don't know Y/N. She is patient, and most of all understanding. If you talked to her-"
"I don't need to talk to her. I am perfectly fine alone. I don't need a woman, and I definitely don't need an imprint."
Sam sighed.
"Paul. You can do what you want. I'm not the type of alpha to force you to love someone. But believe me when I say that I had a dark past. I was also comfortable with being alone. Emily is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Having a conversation with her doesn't mean there will be wedding bells tomorrow. All I'm saying is you don't know unless you try."
Paul nodded, and Sam left him with his thoughts.
-
You stared at the numbers on your phone screen. 2:00am. You huffed in frustration. Your mind had been a constant replay of the events today, your mind spiraling. You had settled on the fact things around here were weird, when you had visited Emily and accidentally caught sight of Sam in wolf form. But this energy couldn't have anything to do with that. Could it?
You decided to make yourself some tea to try and relax. Knowing Emily you knew there had to be some in the kitchen. You tip toed in the dark, your body stiffening as you recognized a familiar muscular back that sat at the kitchen table in a dim light.
You were ready to retreat back to your room when he turned his head around to look at you.
Damn, wolves must have good hearing.
"I was just....going to make some tea.." you pointed to the cabinet awkwardly.
He nodded, looking back down at what appeared to be a cup of coffee.
He couldn't sleep either?
You mindlessly tapped your fingers against the counter as you awaited the kettle, praying that if you stared at it long enough, it would speed up the process.
-
Fuck, was this torture. You were like a goddess, standing there in your pajamas, hair astray and up in a haphazard bun. He imagined walking up behind you, wrapping his arms around you, soaking in your warmth while he pressed gentle kisses on your neck. He wondered what it sounded like to hear you laugh...
STOP STARING. Say something. Anything. Just. Try.
He cleared his throat. It must have startled you because you quickly turned to face him.
"I'm...sorry. About what you saw earlier. That's not like me. I-Embry, he can get under my skin sometimes," he rubbed the back of his head.
"But that's no excuse. I'm-um, Im Paul, by the way."
He lifted his hand up in an almost wave. Why was he so awkward? He was never this way with women.
You giggled, and suddenly, he felt like he was in heaven.
"Y/N. And no worries at all, Emily said you can be....'expressive' sometimes."
He chuckled.
"That's one word for it. But I just don't want to scare you off..."
"Well. I think if knowing that you can all turn into a large creatures who can rip me apart and that doesn't scare me away, I think you were okay." You smiled. He could look at that smile forever.
-
He was actually talking to you. Man, was his laugh so perfect. You could talk with him forever.
The kettle screeched, and you reluctantly made your tea.
"Well....I guess I'll see you around, Paul." You took your mug and headed for your room.
-
His name on her tongue. He wanted her to say it again.
"You can stay. If-if you want. I, uh, I don't...know much about you."
You smiled.
"I'd like that."
To be continued......

Twilight Imagines- Seth Clearwater
Spaced Out

Requested by: @clean-and-clear
[masterlist]
Summary: based off of the Jacob Imagine: Anything for you!
âI canât believe heâs doing this⌠once again!â I shout angrily, throwing my book on the ground of my room. It caused Seth who was sitting on my bed to jolt slightly. I rub my face aggressively, wanting to rip it off.Â
âMaybe he has a good reason this time.â My friend comes up to me, giving me a sympathetic expression but I just huff in response. I lay down dramatically. âI donât even know why I get surprised every time.â
He sits back down, gently rubbing my arm thatâs sticking out. âIt hurts when a friend says theyâre gonna be there and then theyâre not. Doesnât matter how many times.â He frowns, his hand stops and I glance over to him, heâs already looking at me.
âYeah, it just feels pathetic.â I whisper, closing my eyes. âYou should not feel pathetic at all. Jacob can⌠suck at times. You donât deserve to be treated like that.â He tells me in an earnest tone, I sit up with a small laugh. It was pretty sarcastic sounding when it came out of my mouth.
âMm Maybe I do. Maybe I hurt his feelings or something.â I avoid eye contact when I say it.
âEven if you did hurt his feelings, that doesnât excuse anything, [Name]!â He stands up, exclaiming with his hands. Iâve never seen him with such a frustrated expression, it takes me aback. Seth takes a deep breath before speaking again, rubbing his eyes. âHe will realize what heâs doing and youâll be over it by then. Thatâs when you will see the friends around you are so much better than Jacob. How they donât take you for granted.â He tells me, I avoid eye contact with him. Not wanting to admit that he was right.
I know that everything hurts right now but heâs right. I have amazing friends that come whenever I need them. Especially Seth.Â
âIâm sorry if I was too harsh. I just⌠I donât know.â He sighs, folding his arms in front of his chest. âThank you.â I mutter out, standing up with him. âI needed to hear that. Even if it was harsher, it needed to be said.â I then walk past him out of my room, he follows behind me.
âWant to go get some food?â We went outside, now on my porch and I hold my keys to my moms old car that she recently gave to me for my birthday. âI donât have any money.â
âMy treat.â I go down the steps but he stands there. I know itâs because he feels bad for having me pay so I playfully roll my eyes. âThink of it as a thank you for listening to me cry over a dickhead.â I shake the keys, waiting for an answer.
 âPlease.â I smile.
His head drops and I know I win the argument that didnât even start. âLetâs go.â He grumbles, both of us head to my car as I laugh.
Time had passed since Seth told me off about appreciating my other friends. Iâve been happier I guess. Jacob still tells me heâs going to be at things and forget or be late to, so I kind of made my Orchestra recital his last chance. Itâs more mentally for myself, I didnât tell him it was his last chance. This is just to finally let him go. Itâs going to suck but I need this. I need to let go of a friend who treats me like garbage.
Itâs harder when you have a crush on said friend. But heâs older than me, heâs never looked at me like that. I always knew he would never see me more than a friend but a girl could dream. And boy did this girl dream.
I stood behind the stage, wiggling my fingers before I go strain them out on the stage playing the violin. My friend who stands beside me is staring me down for some odd reason. I tilt my head.
âWhat?â I whisper. âYour energy seems off, you okay?â She questions me, I squint my eyes, confused on what she means because I feel fine. âUm, I donât⌠I donât know what you mean?â I say earnestly.
âMm, if you say so. If thereâs something bothering you, you can tell me.â She places a hand on my shoulder and all I do is nod my head. She walks off to our other friends and I purse my lips still confused by the whole ordeal.
I shrug my shoulders, stepping to the edge of the curtains and taking a peak out. I see Seth, Paul and Quill already in the crowd and I smile. I notice them saving three seats. For Jacob, Embry and Billy Black who insisted on coming. I hope his son shows up, or else itâs the ending of a friendship.
I go away from the curtains and over to my teacher who is hyping us all up. Reminding us to stay on time together, watch her and bow like taught. She was extremely picky on how we are supposed to bow as musicians.
Minutes pass and finally itâs time for us to get on the stage and present our beautiful pieces we worked on for two months. I even have a duo with my friend who was questioning me earlier. We go on stage in the organized manner that my teacher critiqued days before at school.
Before sitting down we bow to the audience. I look over to my friends and see the empty spot between Billy Black and Seth. My heart drops. I roll my eyes, sitting down after the stupid bow and now all I can think about is the fact that he forgot the one thing I begged him not to forget.
Instead of the anger screwing me up in my playing I channel it into something better. I play my pieces with extra passion. Having to remind myself not to play ahead of the timing. Following the people beside me.
He doesnât even show up late. I keep making eye contact with Seth who gives me sympathetic smiles, but in between songs cheering me on the hardest.
After the concert I donât stay and chat with anyone, getting out as fast as possible. Going over to my group of people. They all compliment me, but itâs going in one ear and out the other. I feel numb in a way. I try my darndest to ignore the hurt in my chest, placing a fake smile upon my lips. Holding onto Seth, leaning onto him as we all talk in the parking lot. I didnât even notice how flustered the boy got.
Only did when the others began to tease him. I glance over to his face and finally realize what I was doing and I back away. âSorry.â I chuckle. I knew about the boy's crush. I have since it started. I never minded, I knew it wasnât going to last. Just puppy love if you will.
âItâs okay.â He shyly responds, hiding his face from me. I glared at the guys who were still cackling, making fun of the poor boy.
Later in the day Jacob called my momâs phone, asking when I would be home. She told him three. I guess he said that he promised he would be there at the same time to talk to me. Itâs obviously to apologize for missing my concert but at this point I donât want to see his face.
I checked the time and it already hit 5:30. Iâve been outside at our usual spot since three and thereâs been no sight of him. I wrote in my journal that my school counselor gave to me. I use it to mainly rant about stupid things. Lately itâs been about Jacob Black. Once itâs written down Iâm basically over it.
â[Name]!â A voice calls and I feel my heart thump almost hoping it was Jacobâs voice but when I see Seth thereâs a slight disappointment. But then it thumps again, beating quicker. I scrunch my eyebrows, not expecting the feeling. âHey, uh, Quil, Embry and I were going to the beach. Did you want to join?â He asks.
I looked behind me and there was nothing. I turned back to Seth and sighed. âYeah, letâs go.â I stand up from my spot.
We end up throwing around a football after messing around in the water. During this time I havenât even thought about Jake.Â
Now thatâs all in my head is this weird feeling Iâm having for Seth. I didn't understand it. I never felt this way for him before. But looking back at how much heâs done for me, how heâs such a genuine friend and loyal person I canât help it. It makes more sense to like him anyways, heâs my age. He likes me, himself. But if I do confess what would that mean for us. Would we actually even date? Would we stay best friends?Â
âYou good, [Name]?â A voice speaks up in my direction and I snap out of my daze, glancing over to Embry. Where the voice came from. âHm, Yeah?â I raise a brow in response. I didnât realize I appeared upset at all.
âYou thinking about that jerk?â Quill asks with a smile. I notice his eyes flicker between Seth and I. I look over to the boy whose head goes down.
âNo, actually.â I roll my eyes, catching the ball. âI just feel spacy.â I mumble before throwing the ball with too much force. Not meaning to, obviously. It hit Seth hard in the face, smack dab in the nose. I wince, immediately running over to him.Â
âAre you okay!? Iâm so sorry!â I shout, pulling his face into my hands, checking to see if I caused it to bleed. Luckily I didnât so I pulled him into a hug. âIâm so sorry!â I donât know why Iâm reacting so harshly about this. It was only a hit in the faceâŚ
âItâs alright, [Name].â He mutters quietly, I hear snickering behind me. âYouâre so dramatic, missy.â Embry laughs as Quill was holding his stomach due to the scene in front of him. I huff, still holding onto the boy as I attempt to ignore them. âHis face is so red.â I hear Quill say to Embry and I glance down. My mouth turning into an âoâ shape.
I let the boy go and sheepishly hid my face behind my hands. âSorry, Seth. I donât know what my deal is lately.â I frown, turning to walk away but the sound of his chuckle stops me. âItâs okay! Seriously! And thatâs just how you are!â He gives me a closed eye smile before holding his nose in pain from the small movement he made.
And just like that my guilt came back ten fold. âHey, we have to go, forgot we were supposed to meet Paul soon!â Embry suddenly calls out and I give him a strange expression but all he does is shrug then runs off with Quill right behind him.
âWanna play some more?â Seth hands me the ball but I scrunch my face in response, smacking it down into the sand. âLetâs just chill here.â I plop down, moments later he joins me in the sand. âAgain, Iâm sorry.â I put my hands in my lap, refusing to look at him.
â[Name], itâs fine. I promise.â He grins, nudging me with his arm. âI still feel bad. Iâve been so out of it the past few days.â I exclaim annoyed, squeezing my hands together to the point that theyâre paler than usual. âUnderstandable, Jacobâs been an ass.â
I scoff out a laugh. âItâs not even because of him.â I throw a hand in the air, now feeling like Iâm stupid. âItâs not?â
âNo! I just-â How am I supposed to tell you itâs you! Seth I have these weird feelings growing and I like you. I like you so much it floods my thoughts every hour and minute and Iâm going insane! How am I supposed to tell you that!?
I know how.
In my stupid, idiotic way. âI like you, Seth. A lot.â I whisper, leaning back, using my arm to keep me up behind me. âThatâs what Iâve been thinking about.â I smile, squinting my eyes from the sun. âReally?â
âMhm.â I hum out, watching every little move his face made. The expression wasnât really readable. I furrowed my brows.
âYou donât feel the same?â I quiz, tilt my head to the side even more than it already is from the position that I am in.
âI do, Iâm just in shock. I think?â He tells me and I laugh. âCute.â I look over at the water. âWha-what does that mean for us?â He asked me.
âWhatever you want it to mean.â I told him. âWell, Iâd like for you to be my girlfriend but can I take you out on a proper date?â He asks me and I hear him shuffle to get up.
Now standing in front of me. âLike now?â I giggle, his hand shoots out in front of me and I slowly take it. âYes.â He nods his head vigorously. âOkay!â He drags me away from the beach.Â
âââââââââââ
So sorry!!!! Iâve had a lot of stress lately and havenât been in a good mindset to write:/ but I have been editing the crap out of things and plan on re-editing a few things while also obviously working on my stories and catching up on imagines.

"Em?" Y/N asked looking into the mirror at her stomach. "Does my stomach look, I dont know, bloated to you?"
"Um, yeah, maybe a little bit. I dont think it's anything to worry about though." The older woman replied, after looking at the girls stomach.
"I just feel like I'm getting fat. Paul probably notices too." She put her head down.
"Honey, that boy loves you more than anything. You're his whole world. You have nothing to worry about. He imprinted on you and he loves you. Now stop putting yourself down and help me make this food for them animals."
The girl laughed and started getting the table set.
Tuesday, June 10th
"Hm. That's weird."
"What?" Leah asked, the girl staying at her house.
"Nothing, just my period was supposed to start 3 days ago. I'm sure it's fine, this happens sometimes."
"If you're sure, and hurry up Elijah is about to kill Klaus."
Thursday, June 19th
The girl let out a groan, flushing the toilet after being woken up with the sudden urge to vomit.
Saturday, June 21st
All the girls, Emily, Leah, Kim, and Y/N, were all out shopping and having a girls day.
While Leah and Kim were looking through sets of bikinis. Y/N pulled Emily to the side.
"Em, I think I might be pregnant."
"What? Why do you think that??"
"Um, my periods late, my stomach looks bloated, and I've been throwing up. Not to mention Paul made my favorite dinner the other night and I couldn't stand the smell."
"We need to get you a test then, Hon."
***
After Leah and Kim left, Emily let Y/N go into the bathroom to take the test.
Coming out the bathroom, Y/N starts stressing. "What if its positive? What will Paul think? How do I deal with this?"
"Hey. Hey. Just breath. Let's first figure out if you're pregnant or not." Emily calmly says.
"Yeah, you're right." Taking a deep breath she starts to calm, until the timer goes off and her eyes get wide. "Can you check?"
Emily walks into the bathroom and looks at the test, coming out with tears in her eyes. "Um, yeah, you're pregnant"
"Oh mi gosh. Em, what am I supposed to do? Paul and I haven't even talked about kids. What if he doesn't want any?"
"Don't jump to conclusions. Take a couple days to think, and tell Paul when you're ready."
"Thank you, Emily. You always know what to say." The girl wraps her arms around the woman.
Wednesday, June 25th
The imprints made burgers and the pack was having a cookout. Everyone was making their plates. Y/N started to make her plate putting 2 burgers, each with cheese, tomato, onion, and chili. Put a little bit of slaw on the side and some chips.
"Dang girl, you're hungry today." Embry joked, making the girl laugh.
"He's not kidding you are eating a lot more lately." Jacob grumbled.
The girl got quiet and let out a silent "oh".
"What was that? Jacob." Paul growled.
"I'm just saying look at her Paul, everyone here notices how big she's getting. Maybe she should cut back."
After hearing that the girl started to stand up. Paul grabbing her hand. "Its fine, Paul. I'm just gonna go home."
She quietly grabbed her bag and apologized for the inconvenience. "Sorry, I didn't realize I did that. You can have them." Then she walked out the house. Leah chasing after her.
"What the fuck Jacob?!" Paul yelled.
"Paul." Sam warned.
"No Sam. He called her fat, she's not fat."
"We don't need a fight to break out."
"If he didn't want a fight he wouldn't have said anything."
"Paul. Enough."
Paul was shaking horribly. Sam pushed him out the house.
"Really Jacob?!" Jared called, running after Sam and Paul.
"Why is everyone so mad? I just told her how it was. You all can see how much bigger she's getting." Jacob tried to justify himself.
"That doesn't mean that you point it out." Seth told him.
"I know you were all thinking it. Just because I have the guts to tell Paul how it is doesn't make me the bad guy."
"Maybe you should learn the whole story before you go around hurting people."
"Seth. What's that supposed to mean? Seth!"
Seth ran out the house, hoping to find Leah and Y/N.
"Embry? Even you said something."
"I was joking Jake. What you did was uncalled for." Embry scoffed.
"Come on."
"Just stop Jacob." Emily snapped, causing the three left there to widen there eyes.
"Emily. Seriously? You know she's bigger!" Jacob was getting angry.
"Yeah, Jacob. She's eating more and getting bigger, but it's none of your business!" Emily snapped again.
"What if eating so much is hurting her?"
"It's not though, Jacob."
"How do you know??"
"Jacob when she is ready you'll know. Until then shut up."
"Sorry, damn."
***
"Y/N!"
"Y/N"
"Damn, you're fast."
"What do you want Leah?" Y/N sighed as she stopped and turned around, her eyes red and puffy.
"Don't listen to Jacob. He's an asshole."
"I don't care about what Jake said."
"You do or you wouldn't be crying."
"He called me fat Leah. I've never been called that before." She started to tear up. "And it's not even that I'm fat."
"What is it then?"
"Leah...I'm pregnant."
"What!? That's great news."
"Yeah, except for the fact everyone thinks I'm a pig now."
"They do not. If anyone's a pig it's Jacob. Now come on, you need the feed that little one."
***
"Paul!"
"Calm down!"
"Shift back!"
Sam phased into his wolf.
"Paul!"
"He's such an asshole." Paul snarled.
"You need to shift back. Calm down."
"I'm going to rip his throat out."
"Paul!"
"Come on Paul. She needs you." Jared joined.
"I'm trying! I can't control it."
"Calm your thoughts. Breath."
Paul started to shift back, pulling up his shorts in the process. Jared and Sam following shortly after.
***
"Y/N/N! Are you ok? You know Jake doesn't mean to be an ass." Seth tried to reassure the girl.
The girl laughed and grabbed Seth's hands. "Yes. I'm good. Thank you for checking up on me."
It was quiet for a few moments as the trio started walking back to the house. "So..." Seth piped up. "Does she know?"
Leah gasped. "What?! Know?! You told Seth before you told me!"
"He wasn't supposed to find out! He walked in on me having a meltdown about Paul." Y/N defended herself.
"Shit." The girl squeaked. "Paul! He's going to be asking questions. What am I supposed to tell him! I'm not ready. I just found out myself. I need to process this more. Stupid Jacob and his stupid big mouth!"
"Hey! Hey. Just breathe. Paul will understand if you don't want to talk." Leah reassured.
"Are you sure? Because Paul-"
Seth cut the girl off. "She's sure Y/N/N. He wouldn't pressure you into telling him something you don't want to. Now let's go eat I'm sure Little Bit in there is starving."
Both girls let out laughs.
"Um, guys, actually I was just going to go home. I don't wanna face Jacob's apologizes right now."
"Y/F/N you need to eat." Leah demanded.
"Just bring me something when you're finished? Please."
Leah sighed, knowing she wasn't changing the girls decision. "Fine. But you better eat everything I bring you."
"Pinky promise." She held up both her pinkies to Seth and Leah, Seth grabbing her pinky with his, giggling. Leah rolled her eyes, but nevertheless did the same.
"And..." The girl trailed. "Tell Paul that I took his truck. And that I'm ok?"
"So needy." Leah joked, dragging the 'y'.
"But fine I can do that."
"Thank you! You two are the best!"
"We know." They both said at the same time, causing the trio to laugh.
***
Back at home, the girl, took off her shoes and changed into pajama shorts and one of Paul's shirts.
Turning on her and Leah's favorite show to watch, 'The Vampire Diaries'. It was nice to watch people play supernatural creatures. Got their minds off of the real ones that loomed outside.
***
"Finally!" Was the first thing Leah and Seth heard as they walked through the door into Emily's and Sam's.
"Where's Y/N?" Was the second.
Leah was the one to tell Paul the situation.
"So, you just let her leave?" Paul said.
"Yes. She is a grown woman Paul." Leah retorted.
"She didn't even eat."
"I told her I would bring her something."
"I think I should go over there."
"No, you shouldn't." Sam butted in.
"And why not?!"
"Because Paul you just shifted you don't need to do that around her."
"I wouldn't hurt her." Paul glared.
"That's not the point. I said no and my answer is final. You will not go over to Y/N's tonight." Using his alpha voice, making Paul growl and leave the table.
***
"Is it bad that I'm kind of glad Sam did that?" The girl let out to her best friend.
"Yes!" Leah exclaimed.
"I just- I don't know what I would say to him."
"Your fear of confrontation is peeking through."
"Leah! This is serious."
"And I'm being serious. Paul deserves to know."
"I know. I'm just..." The girl let out a sigh. "Scared."
"You should never be scared with him. He looks at you like you're his sun. The thing that is keeping him alive."
"What if he doesn't want a baby? What if this is the one thing he can't handle with me." She whispered.
"That boy would love to start a family with you. The timing may not be ideal, but I've seen the way he looks at you. I saw the way he looked at you before the imprint. You are his literal everything and not just because fate decided you were destined. You were meant to have forever with each other way before fate decided it."
Y/N had tears in her eyes by the time Leah had finished. "I really needed that Leah." She sniffled. "I guess, sometimes, my insecurities take over. I've just been so scared, with the vampires and Bella. There's no time for a baby. Not in his life. He already has so much on him. Why do I need to add more?"
"Quit putting yourself down. You know you come first, when it comes to anything with Paul. A baby is not a burden, or something that just adds pressure. A baby can bring joy and bring people together. Maybe that's what we all need right now."
"Yeah. Maybe you're right."
"No maybe about it. I am right."
"Oh so modest." The girls giggled.
Thursday, June 26th
Awoken to heavy knocks on the front door, both girls growned, having stayed up most of the night talking.
"Y/N. Get the door." Leah grumbled.
"Why me?" The girl whined.
"It's your house."
"You kept me up all night."
"You mean you kept me up all night."
"No."
"Just open the door."
"Fine." She whined, pushing herself out of bed, looking at the clock on her nightstand that read 8:07 am.
Stomping to the door, grumbling profanities the whole way. She pulled the door open only to be greeted with-
"Paul?"
"Hey! I couldn't sleep without making sure you were ok. Jacob was an asshole. He never should have said those untrue things. I love your body and you should too. I think you're beautiful, inside and out. I don't care that you can eat two burgers, I love a woman that can hold her food. Yo-"
"Paul." She cut him off. "As sweet as this is, can we do it later? I'm sorry. Leah kept me up until 5 this morning and all I wanna do is curl up and take a hundred year nap."
"Yeah. Yeah. Of course. Want a cuddle buddy?" A smirk slowly rising on his face.
"You know I could never turn you down." She grinned pulling him inside and onto the couch.
***
By the time the girl woke Paul was already gone, a note in his place, telling her he had patrol but would be back after.
Leah was gone too, so the girl assumed the pack needed her as well.
Grabbing some clothes, she went into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
***
After a much needed shower, Y/N looked out the window and noticed Paul's truck still in the driveway and his keys still on her nightstand.
Grabbing the keys, and getting in the truck, she started her drive to Emily's.
***
"Hey Em." She called, walking inside.
"Heyyyy." Said girl peeked her head out the kitchen. "I need to talk to you."
"Ok, nothing stressful about that sentence at all."
"Have you told Paul?"
"Diving right in, I see." She muttered.
"Huh?" Emily called from the kitchen.
"Oh! Uh- no I haven't."
"Do you know when you're going to? Because I think you should soon, it'll make all this doubt you have go away."
"I don't know. Soon though, promise!"
Tuesday, July 7th
Everyone was gathered around Emily and Sam's table, laughing and joking around. Well, everyone except Jacob he was upset with Bella, which made him brood.
Y/N sat beside Paul, occasionally stealing the tomatoes off his plate, he always put them to the side for her to grab because they were her favorites and he wasn't that fond of them.
Going unnoticed by the pack and the imprints, everytime she'd take one Jacob would roll his eyes and scoff.
Grabbing the last one of Paul's plate and about to put it in her mouth she was stopped by Jacob's rude voice.
"Are you serious?" He scoffed.
Everyone looked around confused as to what his sudden outburst was about.
"Everything ok, Jacob?" Emily asked.
Jacob let out a little laugh and clicked his tongue.
This time Y/N spoke up.
"Are you upset, Jacob?"
"Me? What? No." He paused. "I do think Paul should be though."
"Why would Paul be upset?" You furrowed your eyebrows.
"Because his girlfriend has already had more than enough, but she's still eating. And not just that but taking it off his plate. Do you really need that much food Y/N? All it does is make you fatter, which is definitely not something you need. If anything you need to exercise more." He spat at her.
His outburst caused Kim and Emily to let out gasps. Jared and Paul standing up.
Paul had his mouth open about to say something but before he could Y/N interrupted.
"Paul. It's fine. He can feel the way he feels. I'm just gonna go home."
"No you're not." Emily piped in. "Jacob if you could please leave."
"What?" Jacob exclaimed.
"I asked if you could leave, I expect you to use respect in my house and until I see you give some to Y/N I want you to leave."
"She's not even apart of the pack."
"She's an imprint. We are apart of this pack, now are you gonna apologize or did I need to get Paul to escort you out?"
Jacob scuffed, "I'm sorry I called you fat, it may be true but it was not nice of me to say."
Paul was fuming, "I accept your apology"
"No she doesn't." Paul vented.
"Paul, it's fine I don't wanna cause a fight."
"You're not causing the fight. He is."
"He apologized. That's enough. Let's finish eating, then I have to tell you something."
***
"You wanted to tell me something?" Paul said, as he drove them home.
"Can it wait? I'm really tired and just wanna go to sleep."
"Of course, Sweetheart." He kisses her temple.
Thursday, July 9th
"I'm telling him."
All three girls let out simultaneous screams.
"Finally!" Emily exclaimed.
"Took you long enough" Leah joked.
"I still can't believe you're pregnant." Kim gasped.
"Well maybe I should wait a little longer, maybe until August?" Y/N let out a cheeky grin.
"No!" All three girls yelled.
The guys were on patrol and the imprints had the house to themselves. There was a knock at the door.
The girl laughed as she got up to get the door.
"Are you expecting anyone?" Leah questioned Emily.
"No." Emily whispered out.
"Y/N don't answer that." Leah called.
"Guys I invited someone." Y/N answered back.
"Who? We're your only friends." Leah joked.
Y/N opened the door, only for Bella to be standing awkwardly on the other side.
"Hi! Come in. Come in."
"No." Leah deadpanned.
"I thought it would be nice. Jacob really likes her."
"Why do you care what Jacob thinks? He's an ass."
"He wasn't always one. And a friend of Jake's is a friend of ours."
"Well, I think it was nice of Y/N to invite Bella. Make yourself at home Bella, the guys shouldn't be back for a while so it's just us girls. Right now we're just talking but later we're baking!" Emily clapped.
"Ok." Bella squeaked out.
"I don't think we've met. I'm Kim." She introduced herself.
"Bella." She said and waved.
"Well sit down, come on." Emily waved her over. "You ok if we still talk about.."
"Of course! As long as you promise not to tell the guys." Y/N put on her best serious face and looked Bella dead in her eyes.
"I barely talk to them."
"You can't tell Jacob."
"I won't tell Jacob."
"Ok..well I'm pregnant, the baby is Paul's and I haven't told him yet."
"Omg. Congratulations."
"Thank you! I'm kinda in this adrenaline thing right now and I'm hoping it won't wear off by the time Paul gets here." The girls giggled.
"So. Boys!" Emily exclaimed. "Jared?"
"We're really good. He's the greatest. The other day he tried to make me breakfast in bed, he got up really early, my parents were out of town, word of advice Em, never and I mean ever let Jared in the kitchen. It was sweet though he brought me fried eggs and bacon, only all of it was black." Kim laughed at the memory. "And I have a burnt spot on the wall in my kitchen, he still won't tell me what happened."
"He's such a klutz."
"But he makes it so adorable!"
The girls laughed at how in love she was.
"I already told y'all all my boy struggles." Y/N threw her hands up. "What about Sam?" She wiggled her eyebrows, causing the girls to let out giggles.
"Sam is..." Emily let out a sigh, "Sam is perfect. The wedding is soon, as you all know. But enough about me I wanna know about your love life Leah. Oh, and Bella would you like anything to drink, we've got wine and water, sorry not much."
"I'm good. Thank you." Bella muttered, still awkward.
"Leahhhh. Love life. Go." Emily may be a little tipsy.
"Can't talk about something that's non-existent."
"Leah don't lie. We're all friends here." Y/N blurted out.
"Fine. I did meet this girl....but that's all I'm saying!"
Emily and Kim let out pouts while Y/N laughed, maybe letting them have wine was a bad idea.
"You." Emily pointed at Bella.
"Me?" Bella questioned.
"Yes. How's your vamp?"
"Oh, um- he's nice, I guess."
"No. I need more than nice."
"He's really good at dancing." Bella shrugged.
"I need more." Emily begged.
Maybe Bella should of said yes to that wine.
***
It had been a good four hours and 4 out of 5 of the girls were more than tipsy. The 5th one just laughing her ass off at her friends.
The guys were in for a surprise when they came in. There was flour everywhere. In places where flour shouldn't be.
The girls were sitting in a circle in the kitchen, giggling, waiting on their cookies and brownies and muffins to be done. They got a little over board.
Then the door opened and the girls went silent. Sam walked through the door to be met with flour and baking ingredients all over the table and counters, along with 3 empty bottles of wine. He could hear whispers in the kitchen.
"Maybe if we stay really quiet they won't realize we're here." Emily whispered. The other girls giggling. "Shhhhh."
Sam peered over into the kitchen, watching the five girls huddle down, not noticing he was there. Hearing the guys he quieted them letting them look.
Emily peered up seeing the guys watch them causing her to squeak and the other girls to look up.
Each guy had an amused look on his face, watching the girls.
"Welp, grab one." Sam called.
Sam scooped Emily up into his arms, causing her to let out of squeal.
Jared did the same to Kim, and Jacob to Bella. Seth grabbed his sister, and Paul grabbed Y/N.
"Paul, wait, I have to tell you something" Y/N said. "I'm not drunk. I can't even drink."
He took the girl and sat her down outside. She stood in front of him, and he gave her a look to continue.
Hearing loud noises coming from the house, they both looked over only to see all four girls watching them with wide grins on their faces.
"What is happening?" Paul asked, with a confused smile.
In the background you could hear the girls screaming with excitement.
"Here goes nothing. Paul..."
"Yes."
"I'm pregnant."
Paul's face was pure shock, all the girls in the background screaming and cheering.
"We're gonna have a baby?"
"Yeah. We're gonna have a baby. It's why I've been getting bigger, as Jacob so kindly reminds me."
"I'll kill him if you want me to."
"I know you would."
"I have a question."
"Shoot."
"Why is the leech lover here?"
"I invited her. She's actually really nice. I get why Jacob likes her."
"I can't believe we're going to have a baby."
"Me neither."
"I love you so much."
"I love you too."
