I made little Christmas ornaments for my coworkers! They turned out a little lumpy, but I still think they’re super cute! The two coworkers in my department both have K names, so they will be getting two-of-a-kind ornaments hehe. 🎄

I forgot to add the link to the pattern I used! It's not a free pattern but it's absolutely worth the price, and I made everything as pattern except I used safety eyes and made the inner legs green instead of the same color as the belly

Got asked for the pattern, which I did not include originally because there's a couple of errors I want to make sure people are aware of because there's no errata for the pattern.

So, it's the Monarch Shawl from Interweave Crochet. Interweave Crochet ceased publication in 2021, so chances they'll give a fuck about errata is pretty much zero, but here it is!

Errata #1:

You do NOT follow the chart for Rows 2-35 with no breaks. The last row you work across the whole chart is Row 23. Row 24 starts on the left side, so you'll work that wing first.

Errata #2:

The written instructions for the Diamond Lacet Stitch are correct, but the chart is wrong. It shows extra double crochets above and below the stitch. I've marked the extra stitches in yellow and red here:

IGNORE THOSE STITCHES.

You should be skipping two stitches on either side of the slip stitch on row 1 and then working one double crochet into each chain from row 2.

The main chart, by the way, worked up without issue for me, so I don't think there are any errors there. Odds are, these other errors weren't caught because the editorial team was focused on getting the big chart right.

Errata #3:

The instructions for overstitching say to chain 2, ss, and then cut off at the edge of a single block. They forgot to say to repeat the ch 2, ss until you reach a point where you need to fasten off. Just follow the chart, and you'll be fine.
