Those in italics have five or more pieces of usable visual, written, or audio propaganda already. If you have any visuals like photos or videos, or if you have something to say in words, submit it to this blog before round one begins on June 25th!
If you don't see a name you submitted here, it's because most or all of their career was as a child/they were too young for the cutoff, their career was almost entirely after 1979, or music was something they only dabbled in and are hardly known for. There are quite a few ladies on the list whose primary career wasn't "recording artist" or "live musician," but released several albums or were in musical theater, so they've been accepted.
#long post#miss billboard tourney#i wasn't originally going to list them all but i decided to do so because there are so many without propaganda

A Fruit of Several Trees
Kristoph Gavin considers many things, once the fugue of rage has died down somewhat.
He is currently being transported to the detention center in the back of a police vehicle. He has been cuffed, but not tightly, as some in the world of law enforcement still recognize that respect paid to him is worth its weight in gold. The attitude of the officer driving the car is more akin to that of a chauffer than a guard.
He is under arrest, pending trial, for the murder of Shadi “Smith”.
He has found himself in this situation thanks to the manipulation of novice Apollo Justice by failed ex-attorney Phoenix Wright.
He never should have allowed this farce to continue to this extent. When Wright asked for representation, he should have insisted that a close friend appealing to Gavin and Co. get not less than Gavin himself, no matter the client’s preferences. Certainly not an impressionable, inexpert, indecisive rookie. Not a young man who could be led by the nose until Wright had enacted this, this mockery of spiteful pettiness.
Kristoph takes a breath.
When the red has receded somewhat from his vision, he considers some other aspects that captured his attention.
He considers the warring guilt and conviction on Justice’s face as Kristoph was led from the courtroom.
He considers the look on Wright’s. That damn smug smirk, as if he were somehow better than Kristoph for getting the court to accept evidence that couldn’t exist. That was—is!—fraudulent.
He considers the way Wright looked at Justice. Conniving, grasping glances, like a dog guarding a piece of meat it wishes to devour alone. Or a castaway who doesn’t want to share the only means of survival.
Wright wants something from the boy, and wants it dearly to boot. Whether it’s merely a patsy who can appear in court in place of the disbarred disgrace, or a more…prurient desire.
Except that does not quite do the situation justice, does it?
Of all the lawyers in Gavin & Co., it was Justice, the newly promoted intern, that Wright asked for. Lacchè and Günstling were the most experienced behind Kristoph himself, although both would throw themselves on the pyre before they ever admitted he was culpable (a fact he planned to take advantage of for his appeal). Ingadozó is talented and easily swayed, though was perhaps too overly cautious for Wright’s goals. But Vichy would gladly have played along with this farce for the chance to oust his employer and rule the roost. Yung was the newest off the bar after Apollo, if all Wright wanted was an inexperienced mouthpiece who’d sing to his tune.
But no. Of all the attorneys Gavin and Co. had to offer, Wright selected the one who’d never even taken a case before and refused all others.
Though it isn’t like Kristoph doesn’t understand the appeal.
Apollo Justice is thorough, hard-working, and earnest.
He is analytical enough that he can pick up on the merest hint of a cue and doesn’t need to be led by the hand to the conclusions it would be best to draw. But he is also eager to please, aware and afraid of his own naïveté, which makes him look to his superior for those cues to begin with.
Terrified of failure. Petrified of abandonment.
He is, in short, as fine a pawn as Kristoph could ever hope for.
But if Wright is determined to use him, then Kristoph must remove him from the board.
It is regrettable, he thinks, that he’s been forced to this point. He has liked working alongside Mr. Justice, molding him into an attorney worthy of Gavin and Co.
He’s even enjoyed their non-work interactions, which is more than he can say for most people.
Morning greetings and evening partings, the occasional shared lunch, a thoughtful if inexpensive card every year for Kristoph’s birthdays, introducing Mr. Justice to some quality alcohol in honor of his twenty-first. Graciously covering for the young man’s hangover the next day, in light of the interesting things he’d told Kristoph about why he’d never partaken of even the weakest substance before he came of age.
Still, while Wright was the one pulling the strings, Justice himself also played a role in forcing Kristoph’s hand. There must be consequences for his actions.
When all is said and done, Apollo Justice only has himself to blame for this.
Kristoph Gavin requests to make a call once he reaches the detention center.
It is a call to an international number, and he is on the line for forty four minutes and thirty six seconds.
Afterwards, he returns to his cell a model detainee, if an unnervingly pleased one.
Phoenix Wright feels like he can finally breathe for the first time in seven years.
His work isn’t done, far from it. While MASON has received the tentative go-aheads and sponsorship from the relevant authorities, there’s still plenty of nitty gritty paperwork to be filed and lower level officials to be convinced that this isn’t out of their purview, not really, in fact it could be a great opportunity for them, whaddya say? Care to take a chance on something new?
Although he needs to take care that “Phoenix Wright the washed up poker player” and “Phoenix Wright the foremost jurist system advocate” don’t get mixed up any more than they already have.
Nick grimaces at the memory of the time he accidentally asked a judge if she would “ante up”. The glare he received was enough to make the arctic feel warm and humid.
So, while he still has some issues to sort through as he gets MASON up and running, he can at least do it without Kristoph Gavin breathing down his neck. Looming large over his and Trucy’s lives. Trying to isolate them and drag them down and waiting for the day either of them was careless enough to let their guard slip—!
Well, look who’s laughing now, Gavin. Look who’s laughing now.
He feels bad for Justice, he does, but Nick hardly even felt the punch in the moment, he was so elated. It was everything he could do not to start singing ‘Ding Dong the Witch is Dead’ right there in the defendant lobby.
Of course, Trucy had to get him a pack of frozen peas later when the pain set in, but even with his cheek bruised and swollen, he couldn’t stop grinning.
He’d had to hold himself back from talking about Justice to her. He needs to confirm a few last things first— he may bluff through a lot in life, but this is something he wants to be 100% certain of before getting his daughter’s hopes up.
Regardless, Apollo Justice is going places. Nick would happily go all in on that bet.
He considers his faint reflection in one of the ministry’s windows.
His old dress shirt is a bit tight around the shoulders, and his feet ache slightly from being encased in socks and too-small dress shoes.
It’s nothing like the old silhouette, sharp shoulders in blue. But it’s business enough that people take him seriously. That they take MASON seriously.
And if he has the knit hat his daughter made him poking out of his shoulderbag, pin dangling…well, everyone has eccentricities.
Nick allows himself a rare smile, made blurry by the glass, before he sets off for his next appointment with a spring in his step.
Things are finally going his way, and nothing can bring him—!
His phone begins beeping out the opening bars of the Steel Samurai theme.
Nick grins at the caller ID, good mood brightening further. “Yello?”
“Wright.”
“Edgeworth!” His delight is tempered by concern at his friend’s tone. “What’s up? Everything good with you?”
“I take it you haven’t heard then.” Edgeworth’s tone is somehow sharper than usual. Urgent. “Where are you right now?”
“I’m at the Ministry of Justice.” Nick says slowly, a sense of dread trickling down his spine. “Why? Edgeworth, what’s wrong?”
“The young attorney who helped bring down Kristoph Gavin has a warrant out for his arrest.”
Phoenix Wright stops dead.
“On what grounds?!” His voice is hoarse with volume.
He’d know if someone tried to take Justice in for assault, they’d have contacted him over pressing charges by now, and Nick hasn’t had to do that since Richard Wellington and his fire extinguisher, so that leaves the disastrous possibility that the kid had turned himself in over the representative evidence which he thought was a forgery, which, okay, kudos for having such an unshakable moral compass, but it’d be tricky for Nick to talk their way out of that one, especially with his current reputation—!
“My contact in Interpol tells me the Kingdom of Khura’in is requesting his immediate extradition.” Edgeworth states, voice steady in the way it only gets when everything’s gone to pot. “On the charges of domestic terrorism and treason.”
Phoenix turns on his heel and runs.

rocky balboa y micky cohen
(El nieto del entrenador de Rocky balboa)
El nieto de burgess Meredith.
El nieto de Mickey goldmill.
Sorpresas.

Synnøve Karlsen (“Last Night In Soho,” “Bodies,” “Clique”) is set to star as the younger version of Cassandra Austen (played by Keeley Hawes) in “Miss Austen“, a production of Gill Hornby’s best-selling and much-loved novel. The four-part series is produced by Bonnie Productions for Masterpiece in the US and distributed by Federation Studios, and has already been acquired by the BBC in the U.K.
“The ensemble of actors on ‘Miss Austen’ is a testament to the brilliant work of Aisling Walsh and everyone’s desire to work with her,” Karlsen said. “Andrea Gibb has written a beautifully moving script, delving into Cassandra Austen’s life and her relationship with her sister Jane. It’s a real joy to share the role of Cassy with Keeley and get to work with her once again.”
As previously announced, the adaptation from BAFTA-winning writer Andrea Gibb (“Elizabeth Is Missing,” “Mayflies”) takes a literary mystery — Cassandra Austen notoriously burning her famous sister Jane’s letters – and reimagines it as a fascinating, witty and heart-breaking story of sisterly love, while creating in Cassandra a character the producers claim is as captivating as any Austen heroine.
The drama begins in 1830, a while after Jane has died. Cassandra (Hawes) races to see her young friend Isabella (Rose Leslie) who is about to lose her home following her father’s death. Cassandra is ostensibly there to help her friend, but her real motive is to find a stash of private letters which, in the wrong hands, could destroy Jane’s reputation. On discovering them, Cassandra is overwhelmed as she is transported back to her youth. In flashback, we meet young Cassy (Karlsen) and Jane (Patsy Ferran) as they navigate the infatuations, family feuds and dashed hopes which shaped their lives and laid the foundations for Jane’s unforgettable stories.
Karlsen previously played Jocasta in Edgar Wright’s psychological horror “Last Night in Soho” alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin McKenzie and Matt Smith. Most recently, she starred in the Netflix series “Bodies” alongside Stephen Graham and Shira Haas. Prior to that she won plaudits for her debut television role of Holly McStay, the student at the heart of BBC’s cult psychological thriller “Clique,” and as Clarice Orsini in the historical drama series “Medici.”
Karlsen is represented by the Independent Talent Group, Anonymous Content and Personal PR.

so fucking literal. maybe the guy didn't realize that some drug lord had imported hippos and there was a hippo army more than one hundred strong that was causing issues both to people and wildlife. the point he'd been trying to make was that sometimes there are invasions - maybe he should have used a gardening reference instead, talked about some vine or weed investing his precious estate, but ari didn't know enough about yards to know what was invasive and what wasn't. poison ivy? posion oak? kudzo? he didn't think that was outside of the southeast, and he knew that technically dandelions were weeds, but that was just rich people bullshit. not enough knowledge to argue that with a lawn guy.
"surely you're willing to do what's necessary to hunt down a killer." ari muttered, wondering if the guy realized that a lot of people would find him being difficult to be suspicion. although technically, he was doing what ari requested. and besides, it was very clear where the border was, and the man had no say in that. "that's state land, i believe." hadn't the walsh family had some deal with the state at some point?
ari hadn't actually expected to learn anything from his little outing, but his head came up and his eyes narrowed at the sudden information. you would think the man would have mentioned that earlier, but he was so strange that ari was fully wililng to believe that he didn't volunteer information unless specifically asked about it. it could be nothing, it could just be some kind of murder groupie, but that didn't mean the lady wouldn't make a good patsy if she was real.
reaching for a pad to take notes and feeling a little bit like columbo, ari started to take down the description even as some part of his brain noted the way that wright's eyes flicked off to the side. there used to be a theory, debunked for a decade or more now, that people glanced in a certain direction when lying, but it was still something to prove he was putting in legwork in his job.
"must have good eyesight to be able to see that tattoo," ari commented idly. a woman alone out near midnight, that mean low visibility, and considering she was outside the property lines, he doubted there was a lot of artificial light cast that far from the house.
"We aren't in Colombia; I don't worry about hippos regardless." What an odd remark to think was an adequate retort, and made just evident enough in Parker's tone. "Just as I don't worry about alligators in the marshlands adjacent to the Estate." He placed his hands on his old, worn utility belt, finding their comfort locations as calloused hands wrapped around the rough-hewn leather; the detective's presence and disregard for Parker was starting to wear thin already. "Surely you have better rumors to chase than one alligator." Not to mention hippos were much more dangerous. Also shouldn't have been found in or around Oregon.
Then they reached the boundary, the invisible line that was made so by Parker's precision and competence; indeed, it could've been considered almost comical the way things stopped so starkly as the lush plant life threatened to breach the barrier to the Estate. "Most likely not." He answered truthfully. "I'm... unsure if the property is owned by an individual, but to my knowledge, it's not Mr. Vergara."
For a moment, Parker wondered if that concluded their short, terse "conversation". The groundskeeper had seen this particular detective (though he couldn't remember his name) around a few times before, though he didn't log their previous conversations into the vault of his mind... if they'd had any. Parker knew he wasn't a cordial machine, but he also wasn't the type to obfuscate happenings. Except for when Este was involved, evidently. "There's one." He replied, his blue eyes drifting up and to the right where something flickered in his peripheral vision briefly. "A female. Dark, shoulder-length hair. A tattoo on her right hand. Smokes." One of his hands removed itself from his belt where it hovered, though he still looked up at whatever lingered just out of his sight. "This height."
Then, after an indeterminate amount of time looking up at nothing in particular, he glanced back down to regard the detective. "She doesn't cross the threshold, but she walks by at night; I've seen her thrice after eleven pm over the last two weeks, now."

THE CRYSTALS MYSTERY!
Rumour Has It That The Crystals, Bob B. Soxx And The Blue Jeans, And Darlene Love Are In Fact One Group. Here Are The Facts... Record Mirror June 29, 1963
"The CRYSTALS controversy settled at last?"
This Record Mirror article from 1963 tries to cover the 'mystery of the Crystals'. The Crystals were a girl group signed to Phil Spector's label, Philles Records, in 1961. In 1962, Spector had heard a demo for a song written by Gene Pitney called "He's A Rebel" and wanted to record it at Gold Star Studios in Los Angeles for the Crystals' next release. Learning that another artist, Vikki Carr, was to record it for Liberty Records, Spector rushed to get his own version out first. Whether the Crystals refused to fly to the studio due to previous frustrations with Spector or because they were on the road for shows is unclear. Regardless, Spector decided to use Los Angeles based girl group, the Blossoms with Darlene Love on lead, with the agreement that the record would still be credited to the Crystals, although without their knowledge. The Crystals heard the song for the first time on radio while on tour. "He's Sure the Boy I Love" was recorded by the Blossoms as well, but Spector credited it to the Crystals once again, much to the dismay of both groups.
Love was also a member of Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans with fellow Blossom, Fanita James, and singer Bobby Sheen. Love lead on Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans' 1963 release "Why Do Lovers Break Each Other's Hearts". Love had some solo releases on Philles as well, such as "Today I Met the Boy I'm Gonna Marry" and "Wait ‘til My Bobby Gets Home". No Blossoms were ever members of the Crystals and vice versa.

I would've wanted to get moving at this point. Doing something, anything, to make progress finding Shaun. But I need to rest, according to both Dr. Sun & Ms. Perkins, because my eye is still swollen shut. Kellogg, with his giant revolver, managed to get off a shot straight through the left lens of the power armor. I'll try to lean into the pirate look for a bit. If Nora was here she'd make fun of how much worse my perception is right now.
To make the best out of the situation & not waste time hanging around Power Noodles, I decided to clean up the house. Eyes aren't needed to haul scrap. With some help from Birdie I have prepared most parts of a frame lift for power armor.
My investment in this roomy shack I call Home (Plate) has not left me with much caps to spare. I'll need some to stock up on ammunition, food & even some specific scrap for repairs.
This kid, Sheng, has made a stable living in Diamond City by tending to water purifiers & then selling it. With some temporary fixes to the T-51 helmet I was able to walk in the reservoir & remove junk that stuffed up the filters, in exchange for caps. Part of me protested accepting money from a child but something told me Sheng would be fine either way.
I even landed a gig with Mr. Cooke, owner of the fancier bar in the Upper Stands, to fix his Mr. Handy unit. One with some interesting homebrewed programming, probably not by Cooke himself.
Nick & I paid a visit to the Wright sisters. Piper told us how she's been tracking the Institute for months. Having documented synth sightings, disappearances & even settlements going silent. The detective & journalist came up with a questionable plan. There's apparently a doctor able to directly access & simulate memories for a client. The idea was first that the doctor could do it as long as she had parts of a brain. I pointed out that in the mess that once was Kellogg I found lots of metal & plastic that I kept, in particular one piece that most likely was in his skull. Nick was positive this Dr. Amari could help us. The doctor lives & works in some liberal backwater called Goodneighbor to the east.
