Editorial Plan
For my editorial fashion shoot, I will be going for a first day at the office narrative. I will be using lab rooms in the college building for the office location. I will be using off camera flash with an umbrella for my lighting. I have organised  a student hairdresser from the college for my model, I will be providing the whole outfit for my model as well, this includes bright tights with greys and blacks n the rest of the outfit.

Here are my edits and my final image with text.

FINAL IMAGE
I have selected this image as my final, as I think my subject has a real sense of pride, she looks strong and ready to take on the world. She looks empowered and this is inspiring to others. I have decided to use the text from the ‘find your greatness’ campaign, as I think the meaning behind it suits the meaning behind my imagery, not letting anything stop you from doing what you love no matter what that is.

Just do it research
For my just do it projects, I am inspired by nikes campaigns for inclusivity and not letting anything hold you back from your goals. I will be using my friend as my model, she recently got a stomach fed tube fitted and doesn't let this stop her from doing things she loves like weight training in the gym. I find her so inspirational and I want to create an image which can leave her and others feeling empowered.

Looking at some possible inspiration for my documentary project, i am hoping to document the lives and environments of residents of a retirement house local to where i live.

Some of my finals from this brief,
I really love the second two images but forgot to fix the lighting once changing my subjects pose, so the lighting inst the best in them, but this is something I can remember in future. I am really happy with my results and I like the alien-like look I have given my subject.

Anti Fashion contact sheets
I found this brief to be really fun and exciting to get creative and really weird. I liked using the bandana to cover and obscure the subjects face. I am really happy with some of the results from this shoot.

Some images from David Pratt @ SOGO.
These are some images i found really powerful, i also liked the composition and framing in these images. The feeling of quiet is really strong in these images. It was really useful to hear about Davids working life and professional practice.

Rush Hour Sequence
Tumblr media
During the editing class, I realised that using only the subway pictures which I captured people coming up the stairs with my in camera flash worked on its own. There wasn't a need to put any other images into the sequence as this gave it more fluidity. I tried to create some repetition through my sequence with the puffer jackets in images 3&4, and the more front facing angle in 2&5.

My final for 360 with and without the stroke lines and drop shadows.
Personally I think I prefer the look without the stroke lines and drop shadows, I like the way it blends into each other more. Seeing all the images come together in photoshop was fun and id like to try this technique again in the future.

My images from studio practising different lighting techniques.
Was really helpful to get back into the studio using the lighting again. I found some images on Pinterest where I liked the lighting set up and tried to recreate them. I really liked how they turned out and the studio session really helped my confidence in getting back into the studio and using the lights again.

Stylish Students- Outtakes.
Image 1- I really loved this girls outfit and knew that she would probably agree to having her image took as she looked so confident, I do still really like this image and think it has such a nice warm feel to it. However, I'm not so sure if it fits the brief entirely, I feel that I could have posed her better, I think her hands make her look slightly awkward which threw my off slightly.
Image 2- I also really like this image still, I think the pop of colour in the ladies skirt works well with the industrial background. I really like how the woman gives off a kind of strong and angry feeling with the clenched fist and sunglasses. However, out of all my images it just wasn't my favourite.

My 4 final images for ‘stylish strangers’.
I had two more images to capture for this brief, and knew my images worked better with a plain background behind my subject, using a shallow depth of field to isolate my subject. So with this in mind, I began wandering the streets of the city centre in search for a background I thought would work. I ended up on Miller Street as I found that there were many plain brick walls as well as shutter doors, which gave me plenty of opportunity. I approached many people and was faced with a couple of no’s. However, my confidence was high so I didn't let this affect me. I managed to get another 2 final images which I am really happy with. I feel I am becoming more confident chatting to strangers as I take more images and approach more people. I found that the grey shutter doors worked really well and helped to isolate my subject.

These are my six images for my people at work project. I am really happy with the results and feel as though the brief was really beneficial at pushing me out of my comfort zone and allowing me to gain more confidence. The more images I took, the more confident I became at directing how I wanted my subject to pose or where I wanted them to pose, even if that meant moving them over to a different end of the room. I am confident that I have achieved an overall positive feel in all of these images which was part of the brief and was what I was aiming to achieve. I also tried to get a variety of people and jobs in my images. I think I have been successful in achieving the main points in this brief.
