Two of my favorite oddball coyote skulls.
One had a massive overbite which caused one lower canine tooth to protrude up into the incisive foramen when the mouth was closed.
The other one had some crazy bone deformity over the eye socket which created multiple holes that opened right into the sinuses and braincase.

Teaching vet students how to do a necropsy is very fun as I basically spend half my time forcing them to undo all of their learning on delicate surgical handling of tissues since we've got decomposing organs to get to and we have no time to delicately blunt dissect our way to display stage.
Watching them basically give me a shocked pikachu face when I tell them to just cut through a muscle belly or if you can see your finger through it you can probably just cut it gives me an insurmountable amount of joy

I never posted here to Tumblr! This is my best work to date.
This post is long overdue, but finally, this long anticipated project is ready to share. Pictures just don’t do this sweet little soul justice for how unique he truly is. This stillborn kitten was born with a deformity known as Diprosopus, which causes two faces to form in the same skull.
Diprosopus is a rare, life-threatening developmental defect during embryogenesis, and a subtype of conjoined twins, characterized by partial or complete duplication of the facial structures on a single head, neck, trunk and body.
Diprosopus often occurs in combination with other congenital disorders, particularly anencephaly, neural tube defect and cardiac malformations. When present, the brain may show abnormalities ranging from partial to complete duplication of brain structures, and/or underdevelopment of brain tissues. Cats with the condition are known as 'Janus cats', after the Roman god.
This was such a strange and yet amazing specimen to be trusted to work with. I’m so pleased with how he turned out and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

am too busy to finish anything so.....*proceeds to birth random au drawing where grace was raised primarily by stamatins even though there are still saburovs but i can not imagine them as good parental figures (maybe they count only bcs of financial stability?) idk these four adults are all pretty much unstable but atleast peter has an adorable parental connection with grace (also when andrey retired she closed down his bar confronting childhood trauma and instead turned it into a mortuary)*

Daniil Dankovsky is the true byronic hero and no one will change my mind. An arrogant, lonely, educated little bastard who is also going through an internal emotional rollercoaster

This is like the seventh time I've said this but it bears repeating how infuriating it is that Pathologic has gotten the reputation for being this hard difficult boring unfun painful game when it's literally none of those.
"Oh it's such a cool game for narrative reasons but it's bad and awful and I had negative fun playing it." What does this accomplish. Why are you putting it on this accursed altar. It's literally The Video Game Equivalent of when stereotypical hipsters tell you their hipster thing is really cool and meaningful, but "you wouldn't get it." Except they'll trip over themselves to tell you why it's cool... when they could just sell you on playing the game itself.
I'll tell you what putting it on that altar accomplishes: you're driving people away from the game you claim to find fascinating, for no benefit and no good reason. I've had more fun with Pathologic Classic HD than I ever thought possible, because I believed people when they said all those horrible things about it.
It does so much more with so much less compared to a lot of games, and I really wish I had played it ages ago.
