I've put all my stuff away to make myself leave this poor Jensen alone! Because if I keep messing about it's going to end in disaster. It's mostly neocolor crayon and some oil pastel. Oil pastels are great, especially when you've done as many layers as you can of anything oily - crayons, coloured pencils etc. Oil pastel will go over the top of anything - well, the expensive Sennelier ones will anyway. If you can afford any, get some. If you can only afford one, get white. It makes white highlights in eyes so much easier, especially when you've overworked the eyes nearly to the point of going through the paper.

Which brings me to my main reason for leaving it the hell alone - I mean it! I decided that since the crayons are water soluble, I'd smoosh the background up a bit with damp fingers. But it's on newsprint. Anything more than a tiny dab of water is going to soak it so that it falls to bits. Which would be a shame. Because, even though some things are still not right, I do like him. And I don’t want him to fall to bits!

I think he needs to be the wallpaper on my phone, in fact!
