one thing i see often about movie cherik specifically is people assuming erik is staunchly anti-telepathy but this is simply not true. there are multiple times when erik tells charles to stay out of his head, yes, but these are all moments when he is exceptionally angry. we know erik likes that charles thinks there’s good in him, and we also know he disagrees. he tells charles to stay out when he believes his anger will make charles see his true nature.
but there are also moments where he welcomes charles inside his mind. when they train in first class, charles asks “may i” and wiggles his fingers, and erik agrees without hesitation despite having no idea what charles plans to do. he trusts him. multiple times throughout the prequel movies, when he is without his helmet, he brings up the fact that charles could make him do whatever he wishes. he is joking, but the fact that he can joke about it at all shows just how deeply he trusts him. he never shows disgust or mistrust towards charles ability- in fact his whole fight is that no one should have to hide their mutation
even when he puts the helmet on the first time, he says “sorry charles, it’s not that i don’t trust you” he simply knows that he is disappointing him- knows that without the helmet, charles would be able to stop him, but also knows he wouldn’t, and is therefore saving them both from the what ifs when he chooses to wear it
tldr; erik never actually had a problem with charles inside his head! and it drives me crazy when that’s the whole basis of fics even though erik trusts charles more than he has ever trusted anyone else from the very moment they meet
just thinking about how crazy it is that ‘maxiel’, ‘lestappen’, ‘yukierre’ etc (names for two drivers just being together) have been adopted by f1 social media admins and general fans without knowing the implications™ behind combining their names like that
Ngl if I was going toe to toe with one of my opponents and we crashed after I've had no incident in like two years (and relentlessly winning the last year mind you) and everyone started saying I reverted to my past teenage self I would probably kill said everyone and maybe myself
god i fucking love horizon zero dawn. i’ll just be running though a random biome, collecting medicinal plants and minding my own business, and then BAM. a derelict crumbling shell of a building that just so happens to be a building that is literally ten minutes down the road from my house
I feel like the thing a lot of people get wrong about Bart Allen is that he’s not stupid, he’s not naïve, he’s just, well, impulsive. Like he’s the kind of guy to leap before he looks, not because he doesn’t know he’s supposed to look or because he doesn’t want to look, but because he gets himself so caught up in the act of leaping that he totally forgets to look entirely. And this isn’t a bad thing! Sure it sometimes gets him into trouble, but acting on his base instincts has saved him a ton of times.
Very very interesting to me that past Max tries to play killing Sam and being alone off as "just a thing that happened" you know it's just "whatever". Meanwhile the keypad in 301 implies that he's been lurking on them through the entire case -possibly longer- watching them (maybe even influencing things), waiting to see if he'd be the one that died this time so that he could swoop in and take the other Max's place (while pretending like he'd just gotten there- as if he hadn't been stalking this Sam and his Max for at least a few days). Idk.
