My tribute to David Lynch. I wanted to say thx you for how he informed me as an artist and seeing the surreal as part of the everyday. This is my first experiment in Touch Designer and i tried to make the particles audioreactive to this song “In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song). I actually haven’t seen Eraserhead yet but I’m somehow very familiar with this tune. Funny and strange like all Lynchian things ❤️‍🔥

Do you ever just become overwhelmingly cognizant of the existence of evil in the world?

Like, not as a cute, devil-emoji 😈 i'm-so-naughty-i-steal-chocolate-cake-and-do-weird-sex-acts thing, nor still as a melodramatic, comic-bookish, high-absorptivity-black-fabric, soon-my-death-ray-will-destroy-Metropolis thing, but like.

Actual Evil, as a force that is real and immanent in the world.

Just pointless cruelty inflicted pointlessly by one human being upon another because they've forgotten how to be kind. Just entire systems and machinery of state and ideology brought to bear on the problem of annihilating human lives and maximizing human suffering so that small men can feel powerful. Just humans who have through trauma or conditioning or propaganda shut off their ability to see other humans as fundamentally like them.

Anyways, I joke on here a lot. I get angry on here a lot. They're both just scabs to hide my horror and my despair at the condition of humanity.

anyway i swept the leaves out of my garage and built a shelf and those two actions were enough to leave me too tired to do anything about the fact that now there are two shelves in my room that only has room for one of them

#ragsycon exclusive #inside you there are two shelves #one was the right depth but was made out of cheap particle board and was literally collapsing under the weight of all my books #the other is an industrial strength workshop shelf but the shelfs themselfs are too deep and now rigatoni's tank is entrenched in shadows #so i have to get a lighting system set up for my boy i guess #but i don't have the beans to go back out to the hardware store so i have to hack something together with what i have in my house #and my display shelf that was on my old shelf is now the top shelf of my new one which is higher than eye level #so i need to figure out some sort of riser system so i can see anything i even put up there #not to mention find a home for my old shelf #all this to say; i'm sitting here typing this instead of doing all that #because i'm tired #but i can't lie down because my bed is covered in half the shit i pulled off my old shelf and haven't put on the new one yet #march of the gladiators dot mp3

#the left hand side is the cc eyelashes i usually use & the right hand side is the particle system lashes #kind of subtle but #i think i actually kind of like em #they're not perfect but i mean. they do the job yk #i thought maybe eyelashes would be an easier place to start as opposed to an entire head of hair #& i was right but. this was still a lil difficult #mostly bc i couldn't figure out how to easily mirror it so i had to do like. 4 separate particle systems but.#whatever. it's fine. i did it #i did make kelly take his makeup off though bc it's a lot harder to see when he's wearing eyeliner so yea.#but it's ok bc his red eyelashes are kinda cute #he looks so tired without his makeup but that is genuinely just his face #n e way. moving on i guess.#rainyrambles

how come whenever i do world building i always end up making it way more complex than it probably needs to be. like most people when they wanna make a fantasy world they will start like "ok let's decide whan fun new creatures will live here and what kinds if magic you can do" and i always start with "ok well i will obviously have to map out the climate zones but first i'll need to figure out ocean currents and wind fronts and also simulate plate tectonics in order to create a realistic topography for my world but first i will need to figure out how plate tectonics works and so i'll probably neeed the mass and composition of my planet and so i'll need to figure out how it formed but then i will need to figure out how its parent star formed" etc. etc. like i feel like maybe this isn't thr best way of doing this

#last time i tried to make a magic system i gave up before getting anywhere because i was stuck in a wikipedia hole i couldn't understand #because i wanted to make my magic system compatible with the standard model of particle physics #and obviously i got stuck because particle physics isn't exactly the easiest field to pick up #maybe i something wrong with me...

those playdough ass sims aren't gonna fit in with that beautiful beautiful lighting let's get a move on i wanna see some realistic skin folds (MODELED not a flat texture) and blemishes and subsurface scattering i want that-specific-breed-of-maxis-match-tiktoker-you-know-the-ones tears

#i changed my mind about not liking the hair being clay #as long as people can still make alpha hair i actually like having the option between the two i wasn't thinking #in my dream utopia we get some kind of particle system but in actuality that would make modding way less accessible #and you can't count on ea to give us all the hair we want so that's definitely a no #but i hate the completely smooth plastic skin. away with it #i saw people say those supposed leaks look 'too alpha' YOU'VE LOST YOUR MINDSSSSSSSS #just because the shirt's not painted onto the skin with a shitty low quality jpg graphic doesn't make it 'alpha'. unfortunately #they were on the right track with sims 3 medieval but noo #project olympus has done so much damage it's unreal. in a million years aliens are somehow going to trace the apocalypse back to it #my mom was trapped in the passenger seat of my car today listening to me explain the entire project olympus history. i'm sorry #i mentioned the live stream and she harmlessly asked if it seems better than ts4. like oh man do you have a minute to hear about ts4 #but it's on my mind it's such an interesting topic too bad it poisoned my water supply and killed everyone i love
