PPE stands for Personal Protective Equipment

PPE is meant to be the last line of defense for employees, for if there is no way to remove hazardous conditions through other levels of protection, such as switching materials.

Disclaimer: This is meant to be educational to an extent, and I did go over my class notes in the creation of this. However, this is not extensive and does not cover all possible information about different types of welding PPE.

Proper Welding PPE with Gorgug

Clothing

All natural fibers (cotton, wool), includes denim

No holes, not frayed

No hoodies! (Sparks can get caught in the hood)

Pants, no shorts

Gloves

Gauntlet-style leather gloves

There are different types of gloves for different types of welding (designed to handle different amounts of heat)

Pictured: MIG gloves

Welding beanie or cap covers hair

Tie long hair back

Boots!

All-leather, above-the-ankle work boots, steel toe recommended

Welding Jacket

Fixed shade or auto-darkening

Necessary shade depends on welding process, auto-darkening allows for easier switching, however often less sturdy and costs more

these five i think! mostly focused on how nice they would be to touch/hold and just being visually soothing. anemogem has just kind of a fun shape to look at and i like the way the flecks in the turpoise charm would catch the light if you tilted it. i enjoy the dangling paw mini-charm on riffruff's charm a lot. the frozen melty shape of santid with the divots for the sand would be really fun tactily. and i love when there are smaller objects inside of a larger object it's very visually fun to me so that's bubbloy.

also shoutout to all the sweetflake charms i don't really have a strong favorite from the bunch but the translucent jellylike bits on them are really fun to me.
