imagine getting a parrot hybrid that turns into yandere! parrot hybrid because you started stroking it all over instead of petting 😂😂😂 and by stroking i meant like when you see something so cute you go 'kuchi kuchi koo ur so kawaii desu ARFARAFARAFAR *peppers kisses all over and explodes*

you don't know what the stroking does to him but he looks like he really enjoys it! his faxe gets all red and he starts nuzzling into you like you're his everything! haha! stroking your parrot all over shows that you want to be their mate btw

plus he's so fluffy and soft, how could you not want to touch him like that? you just get so much cuteness aggression with the poor boy.

The only instance where the "River is a Cop" joke is funny is using it in the context of Johnny being pissy about it, which should probably tell you how low hanging that particular fruit probably is.

AH this is previous anon, sorry for being a little stupid; i guess i kind of assumed that you are like cool with cat breeding bc i have seen you rb from ppl who have cats from breeders, which in hindsight, is maybe a questionable thought process. i know you don’t breed cats! sorry lol i feel very goofy.

i guess i’m just curious on your thoughts on the issue as someone who essentially runs their own cat rescue; i just thought you might have interesting insight! but also like obviously you don’t have to share ur thoughts with me, Internet Rando

You're fine, I didn't take offense at your question, i just didn't really understand it.

I don't want to get too into the nitty gritty, but in general I don't support cat breeding. There is such an over abundance of cats in shelters in the United States that I can't fathom wanting to add to that problem. But, I also don't think buying a well bred, healthy cat from a responsible breeder automatically makes you a bad person. Well bred and healthy being the key words there.

There are specific breeds and animals that I'm firmly against breeding. But also I've been involved in rescue / vet med since 2014. I've seen actual neglect and abuse. It's hard for me to look at someone who buys a well bred cat and try to claim they're a bad person, even if I don't agree with that choice.

And since I will never be able to say it enough times, parrots are not included in animals I can look past breeding. All people breeding parrots for the pet trade are going to have to fight me.

Description

Venus is shown trying to stop her lover, Adonis, from embarking on a hunting trip. She coquettishly raises her leg to tempt him back, as Cupid hovers above.

Venus’s fears were fulfilled when Adonis was slain by a boar. Where the earth was stained with his blood, anemones sprouted. It seems probable that the painting is by an artist from Northern Italy, perhaps Piedmont. There are some affinities with the artist Guglielmo Caccia, Il Moncalvo (c.1568 – 1625). The prominence of the parrot, which is painted with a surprising naturalism, and who does not appear in the story, is unclear.

27/31 amigurumay | Clever detail

A clever little detail I learned to use in my amigurumi is embroidery.  While making birds I found out a lot of them have subtle gradation of colors in their feathers, something that's very hard to do while crocheting.  You either make one stitch grey, or the next one white, there is no in between.  Well, that was until I taught myself how to embroider.  Now I can make what looks like the white tipped feathers of an african grey, or the complex feathers of a green-cheek conure, just by embroidering!
