What’s rosé doing, love?

She's doing OK. I feel like she might've recently gone through a period in which she was feeling a bit lost and frustrated; with lots to do, but no real direction. That energy is now clearing, and she's way more resolved and calm. With the Queen of Cups at the bottom of the deck, I think the issue lately is that she's been letting her emotions control her instead of leading with her logical thinking, so every little problem translates as a really big deal for her. The Queen of Pentacles and the Hanged Man rx are behind the QoC, so yeah, that confirms what I saw intially. She's finally moving away from this period of uncertainty, and making a conscious effort - I think - to use her head more, instead of (always) her heart.

I think it is exactly what the public sees: each member doing their own thing, exploring more opportunities, chasing their dreams, they're all very supportive of each other, constantly messaging each other with congratulations, advices, "how are you doing?". I think the group is about to end because i got the death card, but their friendships seem to just be renewing, they still tell each other secrets, but they seem to be more far apart in sense of physical distance.

Blackpink Rosé: Quick solo debut tarot reading

Because I really wanted to see what sort of energy is swirling around this long-anticipated debut!

The past and present cards honestly couldn’t be much clearer. 

A few months ago I pulled cards indicating that Rosé was very, very nervous about her upcoming solo debut. I think she was led to believe it would be earlier in 2021 as well, which had the effect of dragging out her fears and nerves. 

However, we have The Moon followed by The Sun, which is a very powerful combination indicating forward momentum. Finally, Rosé is getting her moment in the sun. Literally and figuratively. She’ll be feeling absolutely radiant the moment her music video finally goes live. It will undoubtedly be a commercial success, which will be very gratifying. In addition, Rosé will take a lot of joy in her music making others happy.

We have Seven of Swords reversed in the future position, which is very, very interesting. Seven of Swords upright is traditionally a card about deception/sneakiness. Honestly, YG’s business dealings could make a good illustration for this particular card.

However, it’s reversed here indicating the opposite of deception. When I pulled this card, I got a very strong sense of “nowhere to hide.” Deception will be impossible with this much attention on Rosé. It will be a powerful feeling, but also a bit of a scary one. Although she’s very, very much wanted her debut to come... she’ll find that the actual experience of it is even more intense than she expected. The comeback will rest on her shoulders, and she will be feeling a bit vulnerable and exposed. This card’s position so close to The Sun is also interesting to me. The Sun is one of the more positively regarded cards, but I like to remember it can burn you. So can public scrutiny.

I think in the initial performances she’ll be battling some imposter syndrome. She’ll be inclined to play it safe and rigidly stick to every pre-determined bit of choreography. She’ll get some criticism for being too polished. Something about the Tower being in reverse is also interesting to me (second time I’ve pulled that card tonight despite thoroughly shuffling.) It’s about not pushing through to a breakthrough. This makes me wonder if like .... Teddy’s gonna Teddy. I know this song has more writers than him on it, but I do wonder if some portion of the song will get a plagiarism accusation, or if it’ll get the critique of sounding dated/lacking creativity3? We’ll see. 

I do think the debut will overall go well, because it appears as though Rosé will be very sad when it ends. I think this indicates she feels that art/performing is her calling. In addition, more people will see it, and this debut period will allow her to network and form more connections in the industry. I think she’ll come away from this being unwilling to settle for long hiatuses with limited creative payoff. I wouldn’t be surprised if this cements a belief in her that long hiatuses are fine, but only if the music she creates in the interim is allowed to see the light of day. Rosé will likely start demanding more of her company in the future, and she will probably see the kind of success in this debut that let her get her way.

the story of choi namra began like this:

she was, still is, and will forever be, her parents’ little bundle of joy first and foremost. even if she’s old enough to be on her own.

they had a hard time conceiving a child, that when the news of her mother being pregnant with namra came, they thought it was a dream. well, it was a dream indeed. a dream came true.

they promised to love the child unconditionally, and while this might sound like something cliché at first, namra began to realize that this was what made her so oblivious to the real world. choi namra had a very sheltered life growing up, so much so that she didn’t even know how to live without her parents around.

and even worse, her parents didn’t mind it.

they wanted her close, afraid that if they ever let her go far they would end up losing her one day. namra even went to the local college instead of the ones in seoul—it’s a safer option anyways, she wouldn’t have to deal with much big changes like this.

it wasn’t until the mysterious website came up that namra felt like she could finally have something exciting going on in her life.

at first she sees it as a prank, a harmless one (well, clicking on a suspicious link sent to your email definitely won’t bring you any harm for sure.) and decides to leave it at that. at least that’s what it looks like to namra, besides curiosity getting the best of her.

but when she had sent the link to one of her friends, they told her they were redirected to an entirely different blog. ha, weird.

was she the only one who sees it?

it’s true that choi namra isn’t usually one to take things seriously, but there’s no way she’s been seeing things. and come to think of it again, there have been some strange events surrounding the island that people tend to brush off every time she brings them up.

now that this mysterious website has somehwat found her, she thinks this could be a gateway to the hidden secrets of gwasuwon.

Chapter 1

It's a gloomy evening in Seoul, and Dahyun has decided to spend the day curled up on the couch of her tiny apartment. She had been watching movies and dramas since she got home from class around three hours ago, waiting for the rain to pass over. The rain had stopped maybe twenty minutes ago, but Dahyun wasn't quite ready to depart from the warm, cozy couch. Scooping up another handful of popcorn, Dahyun shovels it into her mouth while giggling at the funny scene playing on the TV in front of her. She hears the front door leading into the apartment jiggle, and quickly searches for the remote to pause the drama as she doesn't want to bother her roommate. Her heart speeds up and her sweaty palms pat the blanket and cushions of the couch as she blindly feels for the remote. Dahyun's roommate, Chaeyoung, rounds the corner of the hallway leading to the living room, the girl a bit wet from the rain.

"Hey," Chaeyoung smiles, kicks her shoes off and leaves them at the shoe cubby at the end of the hallway. She reaches up and gathers her long, shiny black hair in her hands. Chaeyoung makes a sound of annoyance as she ties it into a low ponytail: her previously styled hair now disheveled from the rain.

"Hi." Dahyun replies. "H-How was class?" Dahyun almost rolls her eyes at herself, frustrated with how even the smallest interaction makes her flustered. She wipes her sweaty palms on the knit blanket draped over her body, her empty hands making her realize she never found the remote.

Chaeyoung shrugs, makes her way across the room and into the kitchen joint to the living room. "It was okay: kinda boring. Would've been better without the rain." Dahyun's head is spinning with anxiety, so she just musters out a noise of acknowledgment. She saves herself the embarrassment of stumbling over her words. Chaeyoung grabs a glass of water and some seaweed chips before announcing her plans to go study. Dahyun nods in, again, acknowledgment and watches Chaeyoung disappear into her bedroom. Dahyun lets out a sigh; the interaction is over but she's still dizzy.

Dahyun's phone, which had been sitting on the coffee table, suddenly starts ringing. Startled, Dahyun slaps on hand over her heart while the other reaches forward and snatches the phone up. "Ah, hello?"

"Hello, Dahyun-ah you sound flustered," its Dahyun's mother on the other end.

"I was talking to my roommate. I didn't expect my phone to ring so suddenly."

"Oh, okay. Finally you're talking to someone. Are you still eating lunch alone?"

Dahyun sighs, her lips pulling down into a frown. She feels a heavy burden settle on her shoulders as her mom starts her daily lecture. "No, mom."

"Why not? What have I been telling you?" Dahyun's mom starts. Her tone is firm, but has an underlying sense of care towards her daughter. "You want to be alone. Hm? You don't want any friends?"

"No, I do..."

"Then why aren't you making any?"

Dahyun's shoulders feel heavy and she sinks back into the couch. Her stomach twists, heart sinking. "I don't know. Mommy, I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize to me, Dahyun-ah. I want you to enjoy college. Study hard, but it shouldn't be the only thing you do. Make time for friends, too, okay?" Her mom reasons.

Dahyun nods to herself, "Okay. I'm gonna go on a walk: its been raining all day and I'm tired of being pent inside. I'll call you tomorrow."

"Alright, go eat dinner Dahyun-ah. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye."

About fifteen minutes later and Dahyun finds herself at a local park only down the street from her apartment complex. As expected, the gloomy weather leaves the park empty. Walking straight through the park, Dahyun follows the hiking trail the runs alongside it, leading deep into the forest at the edge of the park. Dahyun knows the park and trail like the back of her hand, as Dahyun had been brought her a lot in her childhood by her grandparents. The thing was; Dahyun's hometown was about an hour or so away from the college she was currently studying at. However, her grandparents only lived about fifteen minutes from the college, so she was quite familiar with the area as she grew up her every summer. Dahyun thought to herself about how she would have to call them soon, perhaps tomorrow after classes were done.

Suddenly, a small black cat runs in front of Dahyun. A friendly creature it was, it comes right up to her and paws at her feet. "Oh," Dahyun gasps, bends down to scratch the feline on its chin. "Are you lost?" the little things collar jingles, and Dahyun reaches towards it. "Ah, your name is Mercury? Hello, Mercury. Let me see who your owner is..."

Miss Celestia, it reads, followed by an address... The address traced back to a shopping center only a five minute walk away, instead of a home address. Dahyun furrows her eyebrows at the strange name. Was it American, maybe? "How am I supposed to return an American her cat if I can't speak English?" she wonders to herself. Regardless, she scoops little Mercury into her arms and heads for the entrance to the park.

Mercury doesn't put up a fight, instead seems to purr and bury it's little face into Dahyun's chest as she is carried. Dahyun runs her hand through the soft, silky black fur. As Dahyun turns out of the park and onto the street, she spots an older woman further down the street. The woman is shaking a small box of kitty treats, and calling out for mercury. Dahyun calls out to her and picks up her pace, meeting the woman half way.

Strangely, Dahyun finds that the woman is in fact Korean; and not American. "Ah," she exclaims. "You found my little Mercury. Thank you so much."

"You're welcome; it's no problem, " Dahyun smiles kindly. She makes a move to hand Mercury over, but the lady reaches out a frail hand and gently touches Dahyun's arm. Dahyun freezes, a small shiver running through her body as she looks back at the little old lady.

"Dear, do you mind doing me one more favor?" She asks, her brown eyes glinting under the sunlight that has finally started to peek out from behind the clouds.

Dahyun shakes her head, "I don't mind. What would you like me to do?"

"Can you carry Mercury back to my shop for me? It's right down this road; it isn't far at all." The woman points down the street, her little hand shaking a bit. "Mercury is stubborn, she won't stay put if I hold her. She seems to like you, darling. "

Dahyun smiles, she thinks the elderly lady is as cute as a button. "Sure, Miss Celestia."

The woman, a bit taken aback at first, looks at her for a moment before breaking into a wide grin. Her little eyes turn into crescents as she looks up at the young girl. Miss Celestia leads the way, making small talk as she tells Dahyun about how Mischievous Mercury escaped the shop. "Ah, she sounds troubling," Dahyun says once the story is finished. Mercury, almost like she knows, lets out a meow.

"Hmm, sometimes she is," Miss Celestia tells her as the two near her shop. "However, I found her after my husband passed. I believe she is a gift from the gods." Miss Celestia kisses the cat's little head, before opening the door into the shop. Dahyun looks up at the sign hanging by the door, reading Celestia's Tarot Shop.Dahyun follows her inside, where she finally sets Mercury down. The cat meows, pretty green eyes casting upwards to look at Dahyun.

"I'm so grateful that you found my Mercury. I don't know what I'd do without her," Miss Celestia comes over and gently takes Dahyun's hands into hers. "Thank you, Dahyun."

Dahyun smiles back at her, the realization that this lady somehow knows her name starts to hit her as the lady turns and rushes over to a tiny table situated towards the middle of the room. "Come, sit. I would like to return the favor."

Shocked, Dahyun follows. She sits across from Miss Celestia, silently watching as the woman whispers to herself. Dahyun looks around the room, inspects the crystals and gems and candles that sit neatly along decorative tables and shelves. Back on the table Dahyun is sitting at, she notices a thick book, stack of tarot cards, and a little pink crystal. Miss Celestia holds her hands out, smiling kindly at Dahyun. "Give me your hands, please, dear."

Hesitantly, Dahyun brings her hands up and onto the table, slowly bringing them to the elderly lady. Soft, wrinkled hands encase themselves around Dahyun. "Because of your kindness, I will grant you a wish." She reaches over with one hand and picks up the pink crystal. "I have enchanted this Amethyst crystal to grant any wish you have," Miss Celestia gently places it into Dahyun's hands. "I sense that you want love and friendship in your life, so I present you this crystal. It will bring them to you."

Dahyun runs her thumb over the smooth surface of the Amethyst, eyes wide and staring at the elderly lady in surprise. Miss Celestia closes her eyes, squeezes Dahyun's hands gently. "Do not stress, dear. You are one of a kind and people will gravitate to you as you are. Carry light and kindness in your heart, and love will come to you." She opens her eyes. "Go on, make your wish."

With one hand still holding Miss Celestia's and the other grasping the crystal, Dahyun brings her free hand to her chest and holds it tight.

School has been difficult and I've been lonely and depressed. I wish for someone to come into my life and stay by my side; a best friend.

Han Sumin comes to the world quietly. Her chest does not heave. How long can one live without oxygen? She is declared a stillborn the moment she gets pulled from the womb. It is better that way. Don’t get your hopes up.

Her father used to pray before supper when he was a child.  He hasn’t in years, he is a grown man see, he does not truly believe in any deity, but one does not necessarily need to believe to beg the universe for favors.

Miracles don’t just happen.

Miracles, by definition, should not exist at all. and yet, they do.

ii.

Before  she can understand the concept of fear, they move to a country house. They have all the necessities of suburban living; picket fence, marble counters, two stories and the whole jazz. During the winter, her father  stack the fireplace with finely chopped wood, and light it on fire. He  doesn’t allow her to sit near.

When she is four, she finds a white  kitty tangled in the rose bushes and brings it inside. her father  disapproves, but helps her wash it anyway. In some awful way, it reminds him of Sumin. They decide to keep it. When she is five, the summer before school starts, she does what any child her age would; misbehaves. The cat has grown thicker and bigger, and it no longer wishes to play with her in the same manner as before, but that doesn’t mean she won’t try. She chases it around the yard with a spray bottle full of water, merrily  unaware that her actions have consequences. It jumps over the fence in one go. Cats are curious like that.

Memories are like fabric. With time, their color washes away. With even more time, they tear in tiny sections, with holes you can never possibly stitch. She doesn’t remember how she got there. She remembers  engine grease and heavy smoke, a big man holding her accountable with an even bigger tone. “You could have died!” Her kitty is hiding in the underbrush. It is not white anymore. When she reaches out to curl her fingers in its soft fur, they come back sticky with red and goo.

Crying  she tells her father she saw it coming, mentions the way the image came to her over and over again every time she touched the cat weeks before it happened. Her father does not know what to make of it. They bury the cat on their backyard.

Turns out, cats do not have nine lives. They only have one.

iii.

Her life is a series of newspaper clippings stuck in the tragedy section.

Teenager crashes car, saving her own father from getting run over. Teen gets robbed during late night bus ride. Family miraculously survives devastating fire.

She never tells anyone of the things she sees when her fingers come in contact with skin. Images flash by at breakneck speed always illogical and always true.

“It’s coincidence,” she lies to herself each time a premonition comes true, “Just pure fucking coincidence.”

She sees old lady Park’s death weeks before it even happens. Watches her fall into the lake, calling out for help as the life leaves her body. She knows the boy who helps her father will get arrested for burglary far before he commits his crime. She sees entirely too much and never breathes a word of any of it to anyone anymore, never willing to intervene for when she does it leaves a hole, her colors fade. She’s learned that their fate is their own. Her fate is her own.

Sumin takes odd jobs to help her father, handing out fliers, being the mascot for a local restaurant, birthday and festival gigs, a wealthy man’s lap when she’s desperate. It’s all a means to an end.

She doesn’t say much from behind the window as she watches droplets of rain hit the glass with a ‘tap’ and by now she knows better than to light all the dark rooms in her house. No one ever had to tell her anything, she always managed to catch snippets of what was going to happen, yet the sight of her father crying as he was given his diagnosis was something unfamiliar to her, something she would never forget.

This time, there wasn’t much she could do.

How often do we wear smiles that hurt, smiles that tell us we have endured too long? Sumin feels heavy and the worst thing is, she knows the weather of departure; the humid air, the rain pouring announcing that winter is near.

Between gigs, she takes a trip to the tarot shop for a reading. It costs her a coffee but she feels vindicated when the first card she touches is death upright.

New beginnings and change, the woman at the helm assures her, and maybe she should be more embarrassed that it takes a woman in a dusty robe and tacky jewelry to make her realize that she is special, that within her lies a gift and a curse. She tells her of a place, where lost souls with unusual gifts, like hers, can live freely.

And so she roams the island, unsure of what she’s looking for, but sure enough that she will find it.

Rosé is currently looking to pusue a new path with her career - that could mean solo work, venturing into a new field, or simply revamping her image (like a concept change for herself, for example). First, Rumor or Truth? Well, I think they're just (good?) friends that help each other with their point of view about different topics. They can know each other from past life(s) that can make one of them influencing the other. Rumor.

I've decided to add two questions - is the evidence real and why there are rumors.

First, about the evidence: There can be some things that were/are his? I do see it's a secret for some reason. They might have similar style in some way and that might be the reason there were rumors? I see the fans who made these rumors were overemotional. I also see some sort of tradition, so whatever the same/similar things were such as necklace/s, a hobby, or another thing is probably Rosé's way of finding herself? The first card that appeared for Rosé is the Eight of Pentacles; this card tells me that Rosé is working hard on something right now. She is putting a lot effort into a new project and really doing her best. To me, it seems like this is going to be a project relating to the arts- likely music as supported by the appearance of Page of Cups. This tells me that BLACKPINK might be gearing for a comeback, and Rosé is working very hard right now for it. The Three of Cups tells me that she’s also spending some time having fun and just enjoying life likely with friends. The Eight of Swords symbolize some worry coming from Rosé; I’m getting a feeling that their comeback might be a new concept, and she’s a bit nervous that fans might not like it as much. However, her worries are unfounded since with the appearance of the Ace of Pentacles, this tells me that many will like it and that it will also be financially beneficial for Rosé. It could also be a beginning of even more opportunities for Rosé.

Oh yes, definitely! I’ve been wanting to do a friendship reading for members of a girl group for a while. And this is a very intriguing duo, that led to a very intriguing tarot spread! I feel like I wrote a whole wattpad novel in here, hahaha.

There’s a strong sense of emotional depletion throughout this reading. Currently, Rosé and Lisa have next to no energy for one another, but I don’t think this is permanent. This is because their cards really echo each other, possibly more than any other relationship reading I’ve done thus far. In the sections dedicated to their unique take on the situation, we have the reversed emperor and empress. There’s also a King and Queen, albeit from different arcanas (this just makes me think about how they’re from two different countries but ended up bonding as international trainees in YG.) The Exorcist and God archetype cards also seem symbolically connected to me as well. The bonds here are strong. 

But - like I said - that doesn’t mean life is easy. 

They both have approximately a million projects going on, and Rosé’s solo is imminent. Those factors alone would make it difficult to chill and hangout, but I think there’s a bit more at work here than business. Although Lisa has a lot of traditionally powerful imagery here (she literally has a card associating her with God), a lot of the energy here seems to be flowing to Rosé. She seems to have a lot of the power here. I’m not talking in terms of hierarchy. Rather, Lisa very much seems to value Rosé’s ability to be a truth-teller. It appears as though Rosé will advocate for Lisa when someone is being unfair or unkind to Lisa. She will also let Lisa know difficult truths.  Rosé’s opinions are so valued that they basically become facts to Lisa. However, sometimes Lisa doesn’t necessarily want to hear those “facts.” Sometimes she wants to see what their relationship would look like if Rosé didn’t have such an influence on her. 

Don’t get me wrong! If it sounds like this is saying Rosé is overbearing ... I don’t think so. In this reading, I’m not getting the energy of someone who “tells it like it is” (and “what it is” always happens to be something hurtful.) This comes across as someone who’s gregarious and open-hearted, whose charisma influences you without the person even trying. 

Hilariously, also sees Lisa as quite strong. Lisa comes across as a bit reticent and poised, and in her more emotional moments Rosé wishes she can be like that. She’s also well-aware that Lisa finds Rosé a bit overwhelming sometimes, and Rosé has been trying to dial it back. She might actually be a little too successful at that, actually. Lisa is burned out right now and Rosé has some ideas on how Lisa might be able to deal with that, but doesn’t want to be overbearing. 

Of course, some of that might be because Rosé is also burned out. They both are, lately. ‘Lately’ isn’t the right word, actually. This is a long-term burn out. It’s not secret that their company was chaotic throughout much of their time as idols. Until recently they’ve been in the position of having to advocate for their career in the place of people who should have been advocating for them. Obviously that was exhausting, and they’ve been having trouble letting go of their need for constant vigilance. They can both exacerbate these perfectionist/ambitious tendencies in one another as well. It’s a strength but also an Achilles heel in them both, even if they express their ambitions different. 

All that being said, I do think they’re good for each other. Like I said, the cards complement each other in many places, almost as though this was a creative partnership that was meant to be. Above all, even if there are hiccups in how they communicate and perceive one another, they do generally feel safe with each other. They don’t have to be perfect idols or role models with each other. 

And good times are definitely coming for both of them! It appears as though their upcoming creative works will be well-received and they’ll both be supportive and thrilled for each other!
