After the news exposed Peter as Spider-Man, and a warrant went out for his arrest for the murder of Mysterio, it wasn’t safe for him to live with May anymore.

S.H.I.E.L.D. started the Temporary Guardian (TG) program and recruited several candidates that they thought would make a great guardian to him; specifically, those who would do a good job at hiding him from the FBI.

Of course, this responsibility fell on Nevermore's shoulders (the one person out of all the candidates who never wanted kids).

Nevermore would never admit this, but she grew fond of Peter, and he’s like a son to her.

Unfortunately, after Fury identified her as a threat and fired her from the Avengers, Nevermore got kicked kicked from the TG program, losing custody of Peter.

But, that didn’t stop May from insisting on letting Peter visit Nevermore’s new home in New Asgard. (Thus, her son he remains~)

Would it be possible to add a parason feature which the sims can take out on command and carry it while they do other tasks like walking? Kind of like the bouquet in My Wedding Stores. I apologise if it doesn't make sense.

So basically, Cruelty Squad is a tactical immersive sim set in a grim corporatocratic future where everyone can come back from the dead for the low price of $500. This has reduced the value of human life so much that indiscriminate murder is a regular facet of everyday life. This has caused various dedicated wetwork agencies that exist solely for economic stimulation and just to make everyones' days a little less boring. Our player character, MT Foxtrot (AKA Empty Fuck), is an agent for one such organization, the eponymous Cruelty Squad. Your task each mission is to kill various targets all across the world in order to avoid a fate far worse than death: entering crippling debt.

Mechanically, this game takes after late-90s immersive sims like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Thief, and Deus Ex. Missions in this game are open-ended, allowing you to approach them in all sorts of ways. Take the second level, "Paradise." This mission has you going to a neighborhood to assassinate a bunch of worthless tech bros for wasting all their grant money on funko pops. You could just walk in through the front doors of each of their homes, kill all the security guards, and shoot them where they stand. However, with the Grappendix upgrade, you could swing in through their windows like Spider-Man, avoiding the guards altogether. You could also shoot out the aforementioned windows and fire one of the many poison/nerve gas weapons into their rooms, killing them the slow and painful way. You could even stop and visit one of the many landmarks in this beautiful neighborhood, including a pizza place, Osama Bin Laden's Compound, and a shed belonging to history's favorite anarcho-primitivist.

There are tons of cool unlockables and secrets to find in Cruelty Squad. Most of the unlockable weapons are your standard FPS fare (shotguns, flamethrowers, sniper rifles, etc.). However, a select few of these are quite strange and sadistic, such as the Parasonic C3 DNA Scrambler, which turns your enemies into horrific flesh homunculi only capable of feeling pain. That not your speed? Check out the ZKZ Transactional Rifle, a rifle whose power is tied to the stock market! Additionally, you can also unlock various body modifications to make wetwork much easier. Items like the Gunkboosters allow you to double jump by vomiting through your feet. The skull gun, meanwhile, allows you to shoot bullets directly from your eye. Alternatively, the CSIJ Level V Biosuit acts as body armor and has "no apparent downsides." These are only a handful of the awesome tools at your disposal.

You may be wondering "How do I afford these wonderful and not at all gross upgrades?" Well my friend, there are many ways for someone to make money in the world of Cruelty Squad. For starters, performing well on missions will net you a reasonable sum of money. This game also has a robust fishing minigame you can use to find and sell fish to the market. Furthermore, you also have the option to harvest the organs of targets, as well as any civilians who got in your way, and sell them on the organ market for quick and easy cash. Finally, there's the stock market, which works exactly how you'd expect it. Just remember not to spend all your money in one place- if your debt is too severe, you may be turned into a horrific corpse-consuming beast incapable of experiencing emotion.

Now, I've danced around the subject of Cruelty Squad's presentation, as it's easily the game's most controversial component. I can understand how a game with a color palette consisting entirely of unpleasant gradients and a soundtrack made of chromatic notes on cheap 90s soundfonts might be a bit repulsive to some. However, I think there's a unique beauty to this stylistic approach. The thorough commitment to making this game look and feel like binge-reading Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff after taking yak tranquilizers gives this game a unique feel that no other game in the universe has. The same applies to the music, which has indirectly inspired a small musical movement called "Slurpcore." Also, despite the grossness the game has, the presentation is remarkably clear; the HUD and sound effects clearly convey everything that you need to know. I never feel like I'm unable to see important info - something that certain modern shooters could still use some work on.

TL;DR Please play Cruelty Squad, I need someone to talk to about this damn game.
