Linebeck, Bellum, and Bellumbeck villain squad au

Linebeck is a captain who sails the sea searching for treasure, which includes stealing from the castle a lot and facing the head knight a lot. Meanwhile, Bellum is creature that despises the ocean king and wishes to steal his power and overthrow him. He does not care about the land of Hyrule, or any land really because of the people who disrespect his home, but he does like the people when they fall into the ocean, trapped and alone for him to feast upon their force. Linebeck and Bellum have met a few times, and frustratingly so, Linebeck evaded him many times.

When meeting the villain team, Bellum needs someone to possess to act as his vessel for when he’s on land. He originally has his eyes on the fierce and powerful first knight, but Linebeck ends up saving the first knight and loses his freedom, being forced into a puppet. It wasn’t what Bellum was going for, but he wasn’t complaining. He just hopes Linebeck is a strong enough vessel to keep him alive on land. But Bellum doesn’t know that they both rely on each other with surviving this whole ordeal.

i had a character concept idea of a host fused with a parasite so uhh yeah. his name is vessel and he has a big ole parasite on his back named P. NASTY (vessel calls him that). they argue a lot but generally tolerate eachother

When Rat and I were kids we used to take videos running around his house pretending that we were paranormal investigators and his family were ghosts. Kaydy was my character and the only thing I really remember about her was that I leant my body weight on a grass root while singing Peanut Butter Jelly Time and was surprised that it snapped and I fell backwards.

Caz was just a critter I made at one point, he was basically just Cody but blue. Criminal, because no one could replace my boy Cody.

And Noah. Fuck man. Noah I think was really wasted as a character. He had cool concepts that were kind of played off as jokes. You’re telling me he could come back from the dead as many times as he wanted but he would become less and less himself every time? You’re telling me he would willingly delve into a mind controlling cult so his boyfriend wouldn’t have nightmares? You’re telling me he was so unfalteringly determined to help people he cares about that he’d give away his humanity?? You’re telling me he became a side character and all of that is all fun jokes????? Noah my boy I’m sorry we did you wrong. Come back to me

speaking about the fact that sozo seems the be the only one infected by the unnamed cordyceps-inspired fungus. irl, theres different splits (subgen) of cordyceps and each of them i think can only infect One Type of Host. like irl split subgen of cordyceps that seems to the inspo for sozo's parasite is Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, all of them in this subgen can only infect one tribe of ant called Camponotini, and cannot infect any others. i think?? (due to reproductive isolation yadayada) so i always sorta linked it in my head that "oh its only infecting sozo because it can only infect ants or something like that".

Yeah I sorta wondered that as well!! It could be that the type of cordyceps within game is just extremely specified to ant folk, in which case my theories get even more complicated because then anything could be going on there (the menticide itself causing the infection, a separate fungus causing the infection, the mutualistic stuff I mentioned,,,)

I just wasn't totally certain n didn't suggest it being super specialized since 1)

When I was taught very broadly about cordyceps, we were shown images of various insects getting infected from grasshoppers to beetles, so I wasn't certain how many generalized vs. specialized cordyceps were sporin around hdgKJSHG

and 2)

I'm just Not Sure what to make of this in general
