Satanic Panic in the 80s

the first prologue i panic-wrote when i came up with the idea of my story :

"For the first time in two months,Mara found herself in the ballroom again.She could faintly hear the soft music playing,but she could not recognize the melody for the life of her.Her heart beat fast,erratically,so hard that Mara thought it was going to jump out of her chest.

Now she knew what was going to happen.Or did she?Her memory was blurred,broken into fragments,that she found impossible to piece together.

Walking towards the centre of the beautifully decorated ballroom,in the middle of the crowd of people with horrified faces,Mara couldn't help but feel a sense of fear rush through her.Their stares were directed at her,eyes open wide,hands covering mouths, preventing screams of fear from coming out.But why?

Mara had seen this dream unfold many times in the past,but she yet again forgot the reason of why the unfamiliar faces looked at her the way they did.

Slowly,almost mechanically,Mara felt her head move downwards,as if she couldn't control her actions,and looked at herself.She was wearing a long and silky dress,the colour a pearly white,but stained by crimson red blood.The same blood covered her hands and smeared against her face.A sharp dagger was held by her strong grip,its steel blade invisible under the coat of red.

So,so much blood,but no,it was not hers.
