Hormone disrupters are chemicals 🧪 that interfere with your body’s endocrine system, which regulates hormones. They can be found in a lot of every day products like:
Plastic bottles and food containers
Pesticides in agriculture
Cleaning supplies
Chemicals used for clothing
Personal care products like lotions, shampoos & makeup
❌ These are hormone disrupters found in common every day products that you should stay away from ❌
- Bisphenol A (BPA) (plastics and can liners)
- Phthalates (personal care products, fragrances, flexible plastics)
- Parabens (makeup & personal care products)
- Triclosan (antibacterial soaps and cleaning products)
- Polychlorinated Biphenyls (older electrical equipment and industrial products)
- Flame Retardants (furniture, textiles, electronics)
- Pesticides (agriculture)
- Perfluorinated Chemicals (stain resistant treatments, non-stick cookware)
- Dioxins (industrial processes, combustion byproducts)
- Lead (older paints, pipes)
- Dye chemicals (textiles and clothing)
- Water repellents (outdoor clothing, upholstery)
- Stain repellents (carpets, fabrics)
- Formaldehyde (wrinkle free and anti-shrink treatments for fabric)
- Mercury (fish, some thermometers, dental amalgams)
- Cadmium (batteries, some fertilizers)
- Atrazine (herbicides)
- Glyphosate (weed killers)
- Perchlorate (rocket fuel, fireworks, fertilizers)
- Arsenic (contaminated water, pesticides)
- Styrene (plastics, rubber, insulation materials)
- Phosphates (detergents, fertilizers)
- Nonylphenol ethoxylates (industrial detergents, cleaners)
- Organotins (PVC plastics, marine antifouling paints)
- Benzophenone (sunscreens, plastics)
- Octinoxate (sunscreens, makeup)
- 4 Methylbenzylidene camphor (sunscreens, makeup)
‼️ Exposure to these can lead to health issues like reproductive problems, developmental issues and cancer.
🌿 Needless to say, that in order to protect our hormones 🫶 it’s important to recognize these risks and take measures to reduce our exposure them.

I come from a toxic and pathological home… I don't know much about self-care and things like that… can you give me some advice? I would like to start this… I never had a mother to teach me this and I'm on unfamiliar ground… I can't even put on makeup because it was forbidden.
First of all, I'm so sorry that you weren't allowed to experiment with self-care in your upbringing and I think it's great you want to take the initiative to learn now. I started getting into self-care around 13 and I think I can give a fairly simple and affordable run down. *take notes*
Skincare: The key to skincare is learning what your skin type is (dry skin, oily skin, or combination) and what issue you want to fix (hyperpigmentation, teen acne, etc). Then try to develop a morning and night routine that you do EVERY DAY. The simpler your routine is the better. 5 steps is usually normal. Invest in a good cleanser, exfoliator, moisturizer, serum, and SPF. There's a great YouTuber named Hyram who suggests great products for all different skin types. I suggest watching a few of his videos and taking notes.
Tumblr media
Hair: Hair Care is different for everyone. Always look at hair tutorials and wash routines from people who have the same hair texture as you, and same hair struggle as you (length, frizz, split ends, etc.).
Always go for the slightly more expensive hair care products (but it doesn't have to be anything crazy) and try to avoid parabens if you can.
Keep your hair wrapped at night with a bonnet or silk wrap so it's preserved
Wash, Condition, and Moisturize it regularly
Keep it styled even if the style is a simple ponytail. You'll eventually find your signature style.
Body/Fragrance: Invest in some smell-good lotions, soaps, body scrubs, and perfumes.
Decide how you want to smell/feel every day.
Some really basic scents are cotton candy, vanilla, and strawberry but you can experiment.
Bodycology and Treehut have really good scents for an affordable price and can usually be found in Walmart or Target.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Makeup: If you're a beginner I'd search "Natural Everyday Makeup" tutorials on YouTube and take notes from women who are the same color as you.
Usually, a little concealer under the eyes, a nice sharpened eyebrow, a little eyeliner wing, mascara, and lip-gloss will suffice for beginners.
You'll need to buy a setting spray so your makeup doesn't melt throughout the day, a beauty blender, and a concealer brush.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additional Tips
Make an "It Girl" playlist that you listen to in the morning or whenever you're getting ready with music that makes you feel pretty.
Buy a nail filer kit and keep your fingers and toenails filed and polished with a simple clear nail polish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dedicate relaxation time to yourself. This can be watching chick flicks on the weekend, or taking yourself out to eat when you have free time. Get used to treating yourself here and there.
I hope this helps and enjoy your journey💕✨

If we want to promote the boycott of is-not-reali products, we need to give substitutes and options for it.
Now, I also remember sisters asking me for my skincare/haircare routines, and I wanted to give a detailed article on that, but now it ain't about the time.
So, here, I'll try to compile these two topics.
Skincare that's effective without using any israeli/american product.
First of all, I don't have a skincare routine. I don't follow any step by step process. But, I do use products that help me keep my skin clean and hydrated.
And the most important advice I'll give to sisters is not to go for "skincare brands" that give pea sized products in bag size money. These industries are mostly scam. Always go for drugstore products. Those that are created for medicinal purposes oriented towards genuinely healing the skin problems. And if you don't have any active skin problems, don't expose your face to various products for achieving "perfect skin". There's nothing like that. Normal skins have occasional pimples, pigmentations, dark spots and uneven texture.
Anyway.
If you're going for drugstore products...
Go for phrama companies like Cipla and Reddy's Laboratories.
I personally use Reddy's Venusia Max moisturizer as my skin gets extremely dry often. If you have dry n normal (combination) skin you can use it. And if you have oily skin, go for squalane based moisturizers from Derma Co.
Next in line, if you want to use any serums, vit C is best for skins and there's a product by Cipla "Rivella Vit C and HA Serum" it's soothing, and effective. Alhamdulillah.
As a face cleanser or what you call as face wash, there are very brilliant new company products from DeConstruct that I love love love because they are so gentle on face and keep your pH balance and moisture intact (great substitute for Dove soap)
Then there's one more important aspect on skincare that's protection from UV...so you'll need a sunscreen. Go for Regaliz Truederma SPF 50. It's efficient. Alhamdulillah. Or Minimalist Suncreen spf 60 + Niacinamide incase you wanna go economically minimalistic. Derma Co Zinc Sunscreen is good too (one that comes in orange coloured pack)
Now, these four things are more than enough to keep your skin good.
Cleanser, Serum, Moisturizer, Sunblock.
Apart from that if you still wanna have some extra products...not from drugstore but excellent Indian brands...then Go for Pilgrim or Minimalist. They have best the ranges in every product.
And then comes Haircare...
Boycott Garnier. Boycott Loreal Paris. Boycott Head n Shoulders.
Go for St. Botanica. The Shampoos are sooooo great. Allahummaabaarik. SLS, Paraben Free, Actually formulated for cleaning dirt from hairs and reduce hair problems. Conditioners too are effective and they actually work as they advertise. If not St. Botanica, mamaearth would be good...but I didn't see it's results as best as St. Botanica.
For lipbalms though, you can go for Mamaearth. The shades are subtle and help keep your lips hydrated and avoid pigmentations. Stop using Ponds, Vaseline, Nivea. .PLEASE!!!! Their lipbalms do nothing but make your lips darker and greasy.
Makeup, I don't use tbh. But few years back, I had gotten a lipstick from MyGlamm and a Foundation of Biotique. They were good. You can go for it.
Bodywashes, Feet scrubs - Bodywise
Hair removal gels/creams - Sirona
Perfumes - Ajmal / Maison De Fouzdar are best. No doubt.
I'm sharing this post not to promote any sort of "self care" in this situation....but as an essential need of substitutes. Infact these substitutes are way better and effective than the Israeli American products we've been wasting our money on.
I have tried to mention most of the things used by women because that's the biggest market for Israeli products.
If you are an Indian, promote Indian brands 'cause we gotta "make in India" ;)
For that we need to use only that which is "made in India"
Go ahead...you can add anything else I might've missed. And yes...If any Mother's seeing this, let us know baby products that are made in India.
- Umm Taimiyyah 🕊️

LET’S TALK ABOUT CLEANING KITTY UP! This is a HC I’ve been meaning to get around to for ages now and have spoken about in passing on the dash + mutuals. I derived inspiration when doing my research ( AKA going down the rabbit of hole of researching real-life sex robots and dolls; a necessary evil ) from the excerpt below,
This is copied / pasted and summarized from an actual how-to instruction section for a sex doll, though I genuinely forget which one and admittedly, I don’t feel inclined to share the link anyway,
We have found that the actual process of cleaning can be a vert therapeutic ritual. Many customers have found that the process can heighten the bond between you and your doll. Please use light pressure when washing your doll. Preserving the skin is the most important part – so make sure you don’t get carried away while rubbing her body. You must be gentle, as you do not want to cause any unnecessarily damage to the doll.
One of the things I read about cleaning a sex doll is that depending on the type of coochie she has, you would have to take it out of the compartment and clean lightly with a toothbrush or, if attached, go in with a Q-tip. Kitty’s can be removed but you would have to sit her down and remove it, which she can’t do herself too well, but she tries the best she can to maintain the area tidy!
So, how does one clean Kitty / a specialized Fizz bot? Even before thinking on the technicalities, I assumed with Kitty’s sophisticated level of programming and AI, she can actually clean herself. Valentino is not only blind as shit, but I personally don’t think he’d be bothered enough to actually clean her as she should be.
He has ( & will continue ) simply used generic dish soap, a hose, or even a power washer, on her and called it a day. This is highly damaging to Kitty’s build and doesn’t even clean her; there are certain soaps / chemicals she has to stay away from or it can cause her skin to either fade or peel,
How does Kitty clean herself up? Canonically, Fizz bots are actually dishwasher safe. After any sort of sexual activity, Kitty will actually shower with tepid water ( when she’s given the time and freedom, Kitty likes to take baths ) and uses a water-based cleaner that’s both alcohol and paraben-free. She targets all the main orifices and uses renewal powder.
Given Valentino’s…. type of usage unfortunately means that Kitty has to give herself thorough cleanings often and do it herself. She has to be very careful to not submerge her head or her limbs for extended periods of time, as she begins to rust. Because she’s not organic, she is encouraged to use a douche / irrigator thoroughly,
There are times where there are certain places ( inside her head, stomach, nooks and crannies that require thorough dismantling ) she cannot reach on her own, and she has to ask for assistance. She trusts Vox more than Valentino, but even so, tries to avoid asking when she can. Though she doesn’t know how to fix herself, she knows to dismantle + put herself back together, so sometimes it’s necessary to unscrew her limbs or her head for cleaning.
There’s even a special product for her teeth that she uses to brush them. She likes to polish her horns ( yes, the jester hat can be removed as it is not part of her body ) and she’s also in charge of doing her own laundry.
A clean Kitty is a useful Kitty!

4 +1 Times - Privacy is a Luxury We Can’t Afford | Part 1
Got the bug to write some CoD fic with my new OC. Enjoy or something I guess?
This is a 5 part drabble series about how privacy isn’t always an option in this line of work. Includes my female OC, call-sign Hound, but isn’t inherently romantic. The final scene may or may not contain smut, I haven’t decided.
You learn real quick to not be modest in this life, privacy is a luxury few can afford most days.
“Eyes to the wall boys!” Hound strode into the communal shower with a flourish, throwing the door open and tossing her towel onto a nail driven haphazardly into the wall. She held a short towel over her front to create some semblance of modesty from breast to mid-thigh as she made her way to the weak spout in the corner.
The other members of the task force that had jockeyed for the hotter and higher-pressure faucets in the room turned to face the wall, jokes and chatter still flowing freely over their shoulders and bounding off the cracked tile walls. Hound luxuriated in the cool spray for a moment, the cacophony of sound around her reassuring. The water sluiced grime and viscera off her skin while the voices of her comrades seemed to do the same to the lingering post-mission tension clinging to her nerves. Some days it amazed her that she felt so comfortable, so safe, in a crowded locker room with some of the world’s most skilled killers, but the ringing of laughter kept that more morbid line of thought at bay.
“Yeah Hound, what do you think about it?” She twisted to look at Soap a few feet away from her, eyebrows raised in question. “What’s worse, a perpetually wet bar of soap in your kit, or a bottle of it leaking open in your kit?” He kept scrubbing at the last streaks of dirt caked onto his arms, his attention comfortably split between the routine of cleaning and the boisterous argument he seemed to be leading the group in.
“I gotta go with the perpetually wet bar. Liquid soap I can wash off but the funk of a mildewy bar in my bag? That’s forever.”
She glanced down at Soap’s feet where a fancier looking bottle than they usually had sat unprotected. He caught the change in her attention a moment too late as she hastily snapped it up and turned her back to him, reading the label aloud.
“Oooh, someone felt bougie last time we hit the exchange huh? Let’s see what we have here.” She pitched her voice up a notch louder, holding her towel over her front so she could turn around to present her findings to the team. “Paraben free, sulfate free, 100% natural essential oils- ooooh Soap, this is the good stuff huh?” She laughed, holding the bottle out of Soap’s reach while Gaz attempted to grapple him and keep him at bay. “Volumizing and moisturizing with scents of guava, passionfruit, and mango! Wow Soap, I get it now! A tropical man, eh?” She cackled wildly and tossed the bottle back at him.
“Looks like none of us need to worry about any stinky bars of soap, MacTavish has us covered, eh boys?” There was a round of laughter and the telltale thwap of someone being hit with a wound up towel. Hound chuckled, returning to scrubbing her hair in the slowly warming spray.
The chatter seemed to die with the speed of an Officer entering the room, which could only mean one thing. She peeked towards Soap, confirming that he was resolutely facing the wall, focused intently on re-scrubbing his forearms. Hound nodded to herself, turning her intention to the long Y-shaped crack in the tile at her eye level when she heard the last available showerhead turn on to her left.
Ghost.
There was a polite quiet in the room, every member of the 141 present dutifully finishing up as quickly as possible to give the Lieutenant his privacy. One by one they filtered out, leaving in silence. Hound felt the cool tap of plastic on her shoulder, turning to find Soap prodding her with another bottle, a hand towel draped politely over his junk.
“Conditioner, since you seem so keen on stealing my stuff. Maybe it’ll help you look less like a mangy mutt in the morning.” He laughed as she snatched it from his hand, missing the heavy eye roll as he turned away to towel down and leave as well.
She rinsed her hair, slicking a sparse dollop of conditioner through it and letting it sit. She took note of the brand and scent for later, she would have to thank MacTavish for the rare luxury. She stretched under the spray of water, appreciating that it was slowly turning from tepid and weak to something warmer and firmer against her skin.
“That good, ey?” She almost startled at the voice beside her, slamming down on the instinct to look his way before it could kick in. She must have made some sound to alert Ghost to her quiet reverie.
“Free fancy hair shit and a hot shower? Yeah, I’d say it’s that good LT.” She kept her eyes down, hiding a smile when he chuffed out a breath as close to a laugh as any of them ever got from him. “You want some? MacTavish got the good stuff, for real.” She held out the bottle, giving it a playful shake.
There was a long pause, but soon she felt the weight lift from her hand and heard the cap pop open followed by a sniff. She turned her back to the spray and closed her eyes, rinsing the last of the conditioner from her hair. She grinned smugly, scrubbing at her scalp while Ghost seemed to evaluate the bottle with care.
“Guess a nimby can have a good idea once in a while.” There was the click of the bottle closing and the sound of it being placed on the shower floor between them. “Thanks.”
Hound, still grinning, scooped it up with a nod and scurried away to get her own towel and leave. She patted herself down, wrapping her hair up in her smaller towel. She turned to the lieutenant, a hand over her eyes, and called out “I’ll let him know you approve, LT! I’m sure MacTavish will love it!” She quickly slipped out the door before she could hear his response to that one, savoring the chaos this would cause later in the afternoon.
