It's almost September (WOOO) (very important month in Chile), so I was listening to cueca AND if I like a character, I will make them chilean, so now Ambrosius is chilean and speaks Spanish when I don't write them all in spanish (where suddenly they're all chilean sjsdk)

(Same with Movie Ambrosius, Ballister's eyes are to him like a night sky, and he says so, a night sky when it's full of stars - nevermind that the kingdom is probably very light-contamined ajskda imagine they got starry nights too)

New Year's Eve was more of a mood for Finn to enjoy partying late into the evening. Tonight he chose Cannabites as his location to celebrate, mainly because he volunteered to help Shade out at the bar for a couple of hours before enjoying himself. A few minutes to midnight and Finn had chugged enough beer and shots to properly enjoy himself, feeling right in that sweet spot of drunk that would ebb away faster than the average human. Benefits of being a demon with an accelerated metabolism, he supposed.

Now all he needed was someone to kiss at midnight and Finn scoured the crowd for a potential candidate. His eyes lit up when he found Mateo at the bar and he grinned, sidling up to the thunderbird with his newest beer in hand. "Fancy seein' you here without the greeting of a physical collision," he said teasingly. "Are ye havin' a good night, Mateo?"

Jack was almost sure he was successfully disguising his nervousness. It wasn't that Gabriella herself made him nervous, not at all, in fact when he was with her he felt more like himself than he did with perhaps anyone else. What his worry about, however, was the money thing. Of course, Gabriella had never shown any sign of snobbery, not at all, quite the contrary even.

Jack just wasn't sure that she could possibly be interested in the food at The Lodge or the The Carver Cafe, both of Jack's dad's top haunts, he was tired of both the veggie burgers at those places and he was sure he remembered something about Gabriella saying her family were vegetarians. And he didn't even recommend the fare at the Hotel restaurant he worked at other than the veggie mezze platter. That was unironically gold. So here they were at the fanciest place he could find in Port Angeles.

He cleared his throat awkwardly, "Um... the vegetarian mushroom risotto looks good..." he started, trying to ease his own tension, "... bet it's better than the one I make too" he chuckled. Obviously, Jack, obviously. They're professional chefs.

Mary rolled the slip of parchment in between her fingers, the sound of her heart thrumming with anxious energy. She'd been poring over it all night, ever since it'd been handed to her yesterday afternoon at the quidditch pitch. A slight boy with wide eyes had scurried over as the team headed off the pitch and towards their barracks, fresh off a narrow defeat. Frustrated as she was, she'd scarcely noticed his appearance until he'd tapped her on the arm, muttering something about the minister's box, and pressed the piece of parchment into her palm before hurrying off.

No names, no signatures... but she would have recognized that handwriting anywhere.

Bad influences. A mirthless smile crept along her face at a distant memory. It was what she'd called his future Death Eater friends back at Hogwarts -- Rowle, Lestrange, Carrow -- bad influences. Towards the end, it'd become a heated point of contention, those low lives he'd surrounded himself with at the expense of their relationship. And now here he was, warning her of their presence tonight, urging her against attending.

Mary flashed her invitation at the door. A prim looking witch gave a brief nod and waved her wand over the invitation; a charmed entryway appeared before them and Mary made her way inside. A throng of partygoers, all dressed to the nines, met her on the other end. The Minister's Annual Fundraising Gala was well underway and as a member of the British and Irish Quidditch League, she'd been granted an invite to the premiere event of the year.

She smoothed down the bodice of her maroon dress and inhaled a calming breath; her fist closed over the parchment, crumpling it up defiantly. He hadn't spoken to her in years. And though every instinct in her body was screaming against this course of action, she knew she had to be here tonight. If it was true, she couldn't just bury her head in the sand and allow this all to play out without intervention, not with so many others in attendance. If it wasn't true...

Then she needed to be here to find out exactly why Regulus Black had deigned to come waltzing back into her life.

“I’m coming!” Charles called out from his room before coming into the living room with a black shirt and gray sweatpants. “Do we have to film this today?”

“What a diplomatic answer, Mr. Leclerc. Based on your recent grill the grid video, have you ever thought about standing me up when we were first talking?” Y/N asked.

“No I did not think about standing you up at all.” Charles said.
