there was a room/another exhibition that was purely local artists, it was a bit disconcerting experience because they had so many videos and noise things running at the same time, but i was fascinated by This canvas - an unnamed, unclaimed painting from storage that has suffered severe water damage. i liked it because until i read the plaque i was fully convinced it was deliberately created that way, which i think was the point by showcasing it in the gallery.

another exhibition that was a lot of fun was Pappas Pärlor, a social media personality (pappasparlor on instagram + tiktok) that makes stuff with perler beads/fuse beads/iron beads/Whatever They Are Called. i had seen his videos before and i had no idea he was local!!

i've been walking past this museum for WEEKS and finally took a moment to visit it!!! i feel so revitalized after absorbing some culture again.

one of the exhibitions was like, eclectic groups of works with a specific theme that bound them together rather than a specific style or period ot artist, which reminds me a lot of then a museum in my hometown did an exhibition in a similar way where they tried to take as many paintings from their storage as possible and just crammed the walls full of them. i really liked it.

there was one section that was entirely one locla painter named johan krouthén, and i can see why!!! his paintings are gorgeous and really capture light and in a way that absolutely captivated me.

the door is from a completely different floor of the museum that had Historical Objects rather than art, though i was pretty distracted from the kids tiptoeing around the corners to stare at me (which i soon found out was because they couldn't tell what gender i'm supposed to be :') )
