Great example of everyday noragi (work clothes, worn by farmers for ex.) from Taisho period. Note the makisode sleeve shape, offering freedom of mouvement!

You can see the close-up of the weave, made from asa (bast-fiber like hemp or linen) and kamiyori (twisted paper thread). Despite its "rugged" materials, weave is delicately interlocked with regular black stripes.

The coat also presents geometrical sashiko (white quilting), both reinforcing easily worn areas (collar, hems, inner center back), and decorating the garment.

PSA for writers: please please please don't put characters doing manual labour in "silk" kimono. I'll be forever grateful ;)

Sims 4, most base game compatible (Cute Bed requires City Living / Dreamy Bed requires Seasons. 37 items. Most items have extra swatches added by me 💗

Always suggested: bb.objects ON, it makes placing items much easier. For further placement tweaking, check out the TOOL mod.

LAMPS: My note for now on all lamps is that they need the brightness turned down in game for them to look normal. I have an issue in Blender with the vertex paintbrush just not working, it paints/refuses to paint wherever it wants no matter what I try. It's something I'm always looking for the answer to, and any other creator who likes any of the lamps is welcome to add vertex paint to them. I would update the file and add a credit to said creator. BEDS: Most beds are made with the cot as the base (or other very simple bed object), it's difficult to find something to "work" with the ACNH mesh. I haven't yet 100% hashed out how to make them *perfectly* functional in TS4, but the sims will sleep on top of them.

Type “acnh dreamy" into the search query in build mode to find quickly. You can always find items like this, just begin typing the title and it will appear.

saw your modern au piece where you tagged 'scenthound' and it just made me think about vasco in the original story after machete dies and how he'll never smell and take comfort in whatever unique smell machete had ever again and whoops I made myself sad

O- oh...

To be honest I don't know if Vasco's sense of smell is significantly better than a non-scenthound dog's (I mean maybe a little? Since scenthounds tend to have large nasal cavities and more room for olfactory receptors than a dog with shorter or narrower snout? But it's not really relevant in this context).

The way I see it, dog people's sense of smell is more acute than ours, but not as overpowered as that of an actual dog. Scents are more meaningful to them. For example, when you spend enough time with someone, your scents start to blend together, and smelling like your partner/family is an important part of bonding. I'd imagine that it plays into grieving process too. Even if you held on to the belongings of the deceased, their specific scent will eventually fade away from them as well.

Expect a lot more experimental pixel brush art full of symbolism for this jester, because I'm obsessed with him and projected on him to hell and back

#got so so inspired by all the cool pony art full of symbolism #managed to kick away my fatigue and headache to suddenly draw this with just a vague plan in mind at 1 am #i put a lot of little details everywhere #tried to make the fur of his neck look like his poncho #the hole where his body is separated shows the void instead of gore #his ears and tail are like his jester hat #the chaos heart behind him has green for its host #the faded text is his speech right before fighting Super Dimentio #the fox trap is green because Luigi is a fox #the trap was for him #but Dimentio caught himself in it instead #how ironic #a fox and a hare #yet the real danger here isn't the predator #my dear hare in fox clothing #trying so hard to pretend to be something he's not #fighting back so hard #trying desperately to ignore the fact that deep down #the only thing he wants to do is RUN #fighting back against his nature #using his teeth instead of his legs #only to bite off more than he can chew #and paying the price #what a tragedy #but who's to blame really?#HB draws #tw beheading #dimentio #super paper mario #tw eyestrain
