paper dolls: does your f/o try to make things for you as gifts?

Oh, John makes something every year for sure. And not just for winter holidays! For any occasion, really. They're very arts-and-craft-y, made of a mishmash of colored paper, beads, glitter, paint and glue. But these gifts are also very creative and mostly functional (as in, useful for everyday life). He can bring new life to thrifted clothes, turning them into bright and bold outfit pieces. Other times, he'd make a collage or a bedazzled picture frame with photos of him and our S/I, but those are great too! It's sooo nice to see how much he cares <3 <3

Oh wow, that was long, haha! For others, Rick also tries to make the gifts himself. Emphasis on "tries", but he didn't get to make something very often, so it doesn't matter. It's the thought that counts! And, of course, Hatter is a hat-maker, so every year he goes out of his way to create a new unique winter-holiday-themed hat for our S/I. And who could forget North, the guardian of winter holidays himself! He makes something new every year, and most of the time it's toys, but he's so versatile that you never know what kind of incredible toy it will be.

gathering: do you have any traditions with your f/o?

Hm... Not at the moment! We're pretty new to selfshipping, so we didn't come up with any traditions with them. Of course, North and Snow Maiden (who we haven't talked about yet, but we will!) spend winter holidays together, preparing all the toys, letters and decorations, but that's a given, right?

We didn't know which one you meant by "christmas", so we picked

christmas vacation: holiday movies you like to watch together?

Oh, you know it's gotta be "Mickey's Christmas Carol" with... any of them, really! Aside from Scrooge, because he's probably heard the story a thousand times and knows the ghosts personally, ahfhdjf. Aaaand seeing his own lookalike on-screen would be a bit confusing. "Scrooge: A Christmas Carol" is another favourite! And we feel like we just wanna rewatch "Polar Express" and "Nutcracker and the Four Realms" just to remember what was in them. North likes both "A Christmas Carol" and "Nutcracker", so he loves seeing different ways these stories come to life, especially if they invoke this special feeling of wonder.

UPD: How could we forget "Klaus"?! We definitely rewatch "Klaus"!

OK. OMEGA LABS ESSENTIAL LORE

HERES A GOOGLE DOC IF YOU WISH TO VIEW IT ON THAT

so some basics. omega labs. scp foundation/lobotomy corporation type deal setting. contain and research weird creatures and phenomena. im still figuring out some things abt the specifics of the company itself but thats the main important part of it, and also that the founder that "died" in i think 1940? is still living as a brain in a jar that is telepathically linked to the current ceo (and every ceo before him). and everything is remarkably fucked up there like just so fucked up. as for the varying types of entities,

the main actual official classes are epsilon, gamma, iota and zeta, with epsilon being the safest, gamma being less safe and having more potential to cause danger, iota being more dangerous than that, and zeta being the most dangerous. theres also two extra ones, omega which is a threat to the company and world (but theres no actual entities with this class..........yet) and alpha which is for entites that are actually different timelines and realities BUT. the main ones are epsilon, gamma, iota and zeta. they've all got item numbers but i'm revising the system i write em by so these might CHANGE!! and also not all of the numbers have lore significance (tho some do) but none are random some are just little jokes i think are funny. MOAR BELOW

under epsilon, theres:

bill dillard (EP-87), midwestern grandfather who "dies" every other friday and springs back to life at the end of the day with no awareness of Anything, with his death having some abnormal effect on the facility (he isn't actually contained, the door to his "containment" is a portal to his front lawn lol)

hell's kitchen (EP-16), deep ass hole in the ground with a tray, pad of paper+pen and menu that appeared next to it one day. menu is that of a pretty typical pizzeria, if you write your order on the pad of paper and send it+payment down that hole it'll send up your order in 20 minutes or less. if there's no money, all of the food is laced with cyanide

the extended universe (EP-30), uhm. i originally thought of this one when OL was for dnd, this one was originally mostly just an inside joke for my friends LOL. but aside from that its SOMETHING on a printed piece of paper that gives you Sustained Psychic Damage the logner you read it. im not certain what i wanna change the paper's contents to yet. some other weird shit that gives you psychic damage the longer you read it

smolder (EP-90), spark's missing father whose body is also made out of fire and is kinda just a dude (also spark is Lower down here. lol)

tutorial entity (EP-01), d20 that has an abnormally high chance of rolling a 1 or 2. used for training

dynamite and flashbang (GA-79)- my beloved ocs dynamo and jenny :) but worse! tv head and camera head husband and wife 70s tv personality duo. but worse! they get jealous if other entities in the same department as them get worked on more than they do and go into a fugue state and start blowin shit up

plague doctor (pending name) (GA-17)- ayup thats a plague doctor :) has a bag of various liquids that can heal injuries. will attack if asked to heal people too much in a day

paperdoll- (GA-85) two girls formed out of a huge sheet of paper that can forge documents at the cost of your Temporary Mental Stability

omega mask (IO-70): mask worn by former omega labs CEO Dean B. Crewe during his time as ceo in 1945-1970. allegedly has some kind of mind altering affects when worn, but hasn't been tested since mid 1970. in reality it doesn't have any anomalous properties aaaand im gonna make up some lore for it

legacy (IO-33): robot soldier thing that's a manifestation of another character's fear of letting down his family. haven't figured out much for this one yet truth be told

spark : 16 year old girl made out of FIRE. holds immense hatred for omega labs, inc and likes to Stab Employees. honest to god shouldn't be contained (same with her dad) and thats for Extended Lore Reasons

star and eclipse: 'nother portal to a place that technically isn't contained, this time to a child (star)'s bedroom! where if you wake him while he sleeps (which due to time zones, always falls during work hours in the facility this portal is in), Large Bipedal Creature (eclipse) will rip you to shreds

water lilly: HUGE ASS SEA MONSTER DISGUISED AS AN AQUATIC FLOWER. ANGLERFISH STYLE!!!

and finally zeta:

listening thing (ZE-92): bone and flesh shapeshifting lizard. contained in a room with a steel wall separating two parts so it is never able to see any humans. absolute silence is required when working with it. shapeshifts into humans and creates approximations of their clothes out of flesh and (initially imperfectly) imitates people, but the more people it sees and hears, the more it develops its sense of language and what a human is Supposed to look like so it eventually becomes its own person and fully integrates itself into a local community. and then it fucking EATS PEOPLE and RIPS PEOPLE TO SHREDS to give itself ORGANS and can SLAUGHTER A WHOLE ROOM OF PEOPLE IN ONE MINUTE (allegedly. supposedly. ok MAYBE its only when it feels threatened. but like still we gotta keep it behind 2 metal walls that are a foot thick. just in case)

Chronoraiel (ZE-07): literal time god. gets jealous and needy easily and rings a number of bells throughout the facility based on its current needs, until said needs aren't met and it escapes and wreaks absolute fucking havoc. can eat people and taste sins. ate the omega labs ceo in 1939 (arvin fenwick) (he killed union organizers. btw) and says it was "the best meal it's ever had"

WORLD19999 (ZE-999): self-made shambled together mess of wires and metal and rust with a keyboard and broken monitor; used to be a security protocol at old omega labs corporate headquarters. dont tell anyone this but it still has control over some aspects of security at its current facility and can let out Everything at once. but it wont. thats what it says at least.

Holy Vapor (ZE-30): airborne particles that, when inhaled, fester and grow inside a person's lungs over a few hours until they form big ass shards that sprout from their chest and create more spore clouds to Spread Itself. needs to be contained behind 3 doors under uv light and can only be handled with a hazmat suit behind all 3 doors. i realized after writing this that it can be described as "turbo asbestos fungi"

DAWN EYRE and STEREO MIKE (ZE-96): counterpart to dynamite and flashbang (tho theyre not in the same facility) who, when threatened, send an emergency broadcast sent out to everything that can receive emergency alerts in the facility and outside in a local, small radius about a fake impending world ending disaster coming at any minute; anyone who acknowledges the broadcast will either go "every man for himself" and try and Kill Everyone, take someone who hasn't seen the broadcast and flee from society, or spread the warning online, further broadening its reach. was upgraded from iota to zeta in 1992 because of the vastly increased availability of technologies that could spread the broadcast

null (ZE- ): NOT no man's sky null i made this null like several months before i started playing nms. name DOES jumpscare me tho. large mass of Matter that absorbs shit, anything absorbed by it will be wiped from history and all memory. this includes people!

Dr. Edward Crow Boccaccio (33), my BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL creation of 6 years. head of research department at this specific facility (0505). 6'1 bundle of nerves who has been working here a while, despite his every doctor and also his husband saying he should quit for the sake of his health. oh well!! :P

Cyrus Reid (28), head of safety following in a long long long long line of his family also working at omega labs and would love to leave but like where would he go after that right. like he started working here straight out of high school right. but like he's chill about it. cause he's so chill about everything. so its ok guys

Monica Tempest (29), head of control and also security who applied years ago along with her 2 girlfriends, thinking they would all get to work together. she was unfortunately the only one accepted making all of this far, far less enjoyable than it could be. takes her role as Head Guard Captain Woman seriously while she's here, but recently she's been trying to get the paperwork through to resign. and by recently i of course mean for the last 7 years. bureaucracy!

Zinnia Perthyra (42) manager of facility 0505 and proud mother of 2 daughters who will never ever ever ever ever ever ever work at omega labs as long as she's alive. has spent much of her career trying to improve the shit working conditions and safety precautions inherent to the facility, only to forever be ignored by anyone with the power to change such things.

CEO Ezekiel "R" Riorin (55 i think), current OMEGA Labs, Inc. CEO, and by "all" accounts is doing an alright job of things (especially after the last CEO, what a havoc he always seemed to cause!). his face looks off.. he's always smiling waayyyy wider than anyone should, it never falters either.. why is it that he looks so off? nobody knows!*

*(it's because he stuffed his soul inside a computer in 2008 and his body is now just, like, a vessel without an actual soul)

Former CEO Wendell Lestat (no idea how old he is. I'm gonna say 70s), former CEO from 1970-1999 who tortured a celebrity couple until one of them died on live tv, killed the other one, hid the evidence and then RAN for PRESIDENT against REAGAN. and of course LOST the REPUBLICAN CANDIDACY. and then NEVER TALKED ABOUT IT AGAIN and is now living in luxury during his retirement, dodging questions about his involvement in the death of Tom "Iron Dynamo" Caldwell Delaney and his wife Jenny "Cam Flash" Dunn Millard in 1979

Former CEO Dean B. Crewe (DEAD AF), former ceo from 1945-1970 who. uh. he started a cult! he definitely started a cult based around the founder of omega labs and it got pretty big in the US. and then he committed suicide. and some people followed suit. neither the US nor omega labs inc has recovered from that time the ceo started a cult and was a cult leader for 2 decades

Former CEO Arvin Fenwick (ALSO DEAD AF), former ceo from 1939-1945. infamous union buster and loved nothing more than to murder union organizers and not get caught. this was abruptly put to an end when above mentioned entity Chronoraiel came down from the heavens and literally ate him. ripped out his chest and ate him and remarked that he had the most concentrated taste of greed it'd ever tasted and it was DELICIOUS

In the catalog this outfit is all one piece, and there are differences in the length of the sleeves A belt was added for the paper doll outfit. But the plaid pattern is the same, the time period is spot on, and the collar is borrowed from the dress right next to the plaid one.

...so it turns out the ⁂ symbol isn't actually a dinkus (it's an asterism, a dinkus is * * * in a row) but anyway. wanna see some gay little headcanons? i swear the ⁂ is relevant

one: by and large i don't think skrael is really a makeup kind of guy. gender yes, presentation no. but he's old, and if not particularly vain (at least in appearance), he stillcalls himself a god; i think he'd probably clean up pretty good, especially if he's trying to look fancy.

two: bellroc however. hot shit. knows it. striking looks, even when they think they're unusually (unsettlingly, unpleasantly) tall. loves adornment of all kinds: clothing, jewelry, makeup.

but what if some of that makeup was a very ancient design? things they remember from beyond a lifetime ago, from a little village that was the biggest city in its world. half trends from their town, half styles they saw from their mother. swaggy eyeliner bc humans is the same. flower-petal drops to fill out their brow, elegant and arching but never quite close enough to meet. safflower tint, just a hint of red on their lip, to complement and heighten the framing brightness of their hair.

other pieces of it, though. they never adopt quite all of what ren wore as a married woman—bellroc, after all, for a very long time would consider themself neither. but parts of it. maybe things ren would have worn at the closest thing to "marriage" she and beril had. a cheeky bit of line, done in henna, visible only by carelessness, just below the bottom of their ribs. (it dips down to their navel—how scandalous!) nails colored with plant dye and then with magic. dimple-marks, to highlight their mouth, and advertise beauty.

Hello! It’s time for another “Take a Taste”! The series is about delicious food with my two paper dolls. And today, it's my 29th birthday 🥳🎂 ! And what better way than the king of burgers, Burger King 🍔👑 & their icon hamburger known as the "Whopper"! Mmmmm, whopper! And don't forget onion rings & a refreshing iced-tea!😋

• Here's what looks like between the wrap & unwrap version of the Whopper. Damn, I never knew that the burger itself is BIG! 😮You know what, I'm a big boy now & I could eat my first ever whopper! 😁Don't worry, I'll be burning some calories right after this. 🏃🔥Meanwhile, my paper dolls love a big burger, that's enough portion to share.🙂

• Alright, time to try their onion rings 🧅, another of Burger King's iconic menus. First bite! *munch* Mmmmm! Delicious! 😋 When I go back to Burger King at any branch, this will be my pick rather than fries. My Paper dolls agree! Now, what if I combine onion rings & whopper? Hmmm...🤔

• Well, I get the whopper onion rings burger (w/ ketchup)! Yay! 😄 Good thing I have a few pieces of my whopper before I shove it down w/ a refreshing iced tea! And damn, it looks so good! 😋But wait, looks like I'll save this piece for my paper dolls because they want it as well, even though they don't have mouths.😅

Overall:

• I'm so happy with their whopper burger 😊🍔🔥, and this is the first time I have ever tasted the authentic flame-grilled patty unlike any other! Not to mention their onion rings & Iced-cold drink of my choosing. Okay, I don't know why I put that on the latter, but hey, I can't eat without a refreshing drink, right? 😉 As for the price of ₱407 ($7 in the US) (delivery fee included via Foodpanda), I would say, for us, it does not scream affordable when it comes to fast food, but, despite the portion size of the burger, and side & drink choices (depending on size), well you won't disappoint. Unless, if you want to go smaller size, then go with the "whopper jr.". Other than that, since it's my birthday, I would say totally worth it! I'm satisfied with my appetite! 😁👍

what do you think about the current creative direction of agent provocateur vs. back then (2008-2016)?

The most recent campaigns are so badly styled and boring and have 0 imagination. The designs don’t captivate me like they used to. Im usually so loyal to AP but lately I find myself attracted to so many other labels and purchasing other designers because of the beautiful styling, colors, and details of other brands. The quality and designs do not look and feel luxurious or exciting and it’s incredibly disappointing. You may remember the soirée collections stopped and that was also sad. I actually do like the idea of the all hours line to broaden the audience a bit but it was executed so badly with the campaign. The collections feel uninspired and predictable but the price points are the same! I do not get excited for the annual sales like I used to 😢 You can definitely see that there was s shift in their marketing, styling, talent, design team and maybe more.

On a lighter note some of the signature lines in other colors is so fab (Lorna, Lindie, Tanya, Mercy, Zuri, Essie) and I wish I didn’t sell my classic bodysuit and other older pieces of AP sometimes. I still want to collect some of the classic corsets and wedding lingerie. They need a fresh new look soon. Yes, I do post the newer campaigns here only because I want to keep the archive I suppose!

The “Yes” Girl

I was recently told I was too much of a “Yes” girl in a relationship that crashed and burned in a drastic way. And up until then, I didn’t think of it as a bad thing, but apparently it is.

In this relationship I was wanting to explore and experiment with things that would make me less “vanilla” in my sexual explorations. So I would say yes in all suggestions no matter how out of the box they were for me. I even said as much throughout the relationship. I mean that was kind of the point. 

I did things that I never would have thought of. Some I would try again. Some had peaked my interest and I even found myself telling the other person of somethings that I would be willing to try. Things I’ve never told anyone else before.

There was an agreement to wearing things inside the bedroom that was way shorter and sexier than I would have ever wear in my past. But in public I would wear things that was more acceptable in a more presentable fashion. More acceptable for the public eye so to speak. 

I found that I was finding my self-confidence growing in these type of dresses and blossoming under the attention the outfits provoked. Which was pretty big considering that for the most part in the past, you was lucky is see me in anything that even showed off my ankles or even mid-calf. A few years ago, I went as far as to moving my hem line to my knees as I in dabbled into the pin-up world. 

I mean who doesn’t want to dress a certain way to please the man in our lives?  I bought this most daring shiny, black dress for him for Christmas, complete with opera length latex gloves.

 Sexy ….RIGHT?

Topped it off with a sexy stocking and garter one piece that he bought me, a one inch black choker and these fabulous PaperDoll strappy, platform pair of black stiletto heels that was gifted to me. He finally got to see me in the outfit shortly after New Years. The results.....probably was what you can image. 

This wasn’t the first time I dressed super sexy for him. I even found myself buying lingerie. Then I decided that I wanted to surprise him with a few super sexy dresses for Valentine’s day along with a new latex garter and some new seamed stockings from yandy’s. 

Unfortunately for me, he only got to see me in one of them. I was only in it for maybe  20 minutes total. In the pic above it is shown as black, mine is a medium royal blue. The other two remain in their packaging's.  And as you can tell there is no photos of me in any of these.  

But now they all are resigned to living buried in the bottom drawer of my dresser to probably never to see the light of day again. I just can’t bring myself to throw away $100+.  So much for surprising him. I was the one who got the surprise shortly afterwards just after Valentine’s Day a few weeks later.

Now I’m back to be a nothing to anyone. Basically a waste of space and air. I have basically given up and it’s the loneliest feeling.  I just wanted to be wanted and maybe loved by someone. Only to be told that what I was doing would be unfair to the both of us. And was called a “toy”. Just because I was willing to try something new. 

Unfortunately this “Toy”  has feelings and the way things went down was “better done this way - a clean break is easier” was not at all kind. Easier for him maybe, but did he once consider what he did to me? No probably not and now they won’t even be my friends. Their house was my “happy” place. Their friendship was something I was hoping to develop on a deeper level. 

It still hurts, but that is my cross to bear. This is why I don’t extend myself to the world around me. This is just an example of a lesson I go through every time I leave my corner. It just not worth the risk anymore. 

So I just build my walls back up again. Making them higher and higher, tighter and tighter then what they were before. It seems to better to live in my darkness then to let the light in for the light just brings nothing but hurt and heartache.

“Oh you have to be kidding me, you piece of crap car..” 

A huff of frustration left her lips as she clenched her fists. An effort to stop herself from hitting or punching the heap of junk.. The heap of junk she’d had since high school and was actually very attached to mind you. And why shouldn’t she be attached to it? She’d had some great times in the car in question.. In a way, she’d grown up with the car. She wasn’t sentimental. At all. Nope.. It was just- why should she buy a new one when this one ran perfectly fine. Well, besides the weird clunking sound it had been making the last couple of weeks. Which she had convinced herself that it was just the oil. Logan, the asshole, hadn’t agreed.. But then, when did her husband not agreeing ever stop Madeline? Spoiler alert: Never. 

He’d told her it would probably be a lot more than the oil, but Maddie had flipped him off and popped the hood anyway. Two hours later, and she was beyond frustrated, and realizing she was in a little over her head in this car fixing idea. However, she wasn’t the sort that admitted defeat easily, or admit she was wrong, least of all to her husband. Speaking of which, she could feel his presence behind her. Even now, after so long, her skin still hummed happily whenever she could feel him looking at her. Now was not the time for the gross romantic junk, however. Rounding on him, she shoved a finger in his chest. “Don’t you dare start. I swear to God, Loagan, if you dare even think about uttering ‘I told you so’ I will hurt you.”
