a little too much | charles leclerc
a very happy dilf day to jenson button and sebastian vettel!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All week Ruby had been wiggling her loose tooth trying to get it to fall off. Ever since she was told that the tooth fairy would bring her money in exchange for her tooth, she was desperate for it to fall off.
“Ruby, don’t do that. It will fall off on its own, you just have to be patient.” Y/n said to the little girl after dinner. As Charles and Y/n cleaned up the dinner table, Ruby ran to the bathroom and checked her tooth in the mirror.
“Arthur should be the one to give her the money since he told her about the tooth fairy.” Charles joked. He already had money put aside for when Ruby finally lost her tooth and it was his job to slip in a couple of euros under the girl’s pillow.
“You know she told me she’s expecting enough to get that barbie dream house but she wants the one with the pool so her barbie’s can swim in it.” Y/n explained. Apart from talking all week about her tooth, Ruby also had her eyes set on the Barbie dream house she saw weeks ago in the store.
“She already has two of those. My mother got her one and I bought her the other one.”
“She has two because her papa couldn’t resist buying her anything she wants. What was it you said? Whatever Ruby wants, Ruby gets? I love you for making our daughter happy, but she doesn’t need a million toys.” Y/n kissed her husband’s cheek.
“She’s only little for a while, amour, I want to enjoy it while I can.”
A week later, Charles and Y/n were invited to a party by Joris. And of course Charles took advantage of the alcohol. Pascale had offered to look after Ruby so the couple could have a day off from parenting. Ruby loved being with her grand-mĂšre. She even showed Pascale her loose tooth and when she tried to wiggle it with her tounge, she felt the tooth move more than it did before. Seconds later, Ruby spit out her tooth into her hand and proudly showed it to Pascale.
“The tooth fairy is coming!” She ran around the house holding her tooth.
“She is! How much do you think the tooth fairy is going to bring you?” Pascale asked the excited girl.
“A lot! I’m going to buy Barbie’s dream house that comes with the pool and all my Barbie’s are going to live in it.” Ruby explained.
By the time Y/n and Charles arrived home, Ruby was fast asleep with her tooth under her pillow. Pascale had informed them of it when they arrived. She also saw how Charles was being held up by Y/n since he had a little too much to drink.
“Thank you for taking care of my Ruby, maman.” Charles said as Y/n helped him up the stairs.
“Take care of yourself, Charles. I’ll see you two soon.” Pascale smiled and left the Leclerc house.
“I’m taping your hands so you don’t ever have another drink ever again.” Y/n teased.
“I will find a way to drink.”
When the couple finally made it to their room, Charles threw himself on his bed and let out a sigh. He missed his bed all day.
“I’m going to take a quick shower. Go to sleep, I mean it.” Y/n kissed Charles and walked to the bathroom.
While his wife was busy, Charles remembered about Ruby’s tooth. He groaned as he moved to his side to grab his wallet from his back pocket. Then he forced himself out of the bed and stumbled to Ruby’s room, trying to be quiet.
Ruby’s room wasn’t completely dark. She had rainbow night light illuminating her room. He gently lifted Ruby’s pillow and grabbed the small tooth then placed the money where the tooth was. He then managed to make it back to his room without Ruby or Y/n noticing.
When morning came, the first thing Ruby did was check under her pillow and what she found made her extremely happy. In school, her teacher had taught her about money and it’s value so when she counted it, she was 100% sure it was enough to buy her Barbie dream house.
In the kitchen, all the Leclerc’s had reunited for breakfast. Charles was still in pain, but with some painkillers and breakfast, he was soon recovering. Arthur had been teasing him all morning.
“So, how much did you give Ruby for her tooth?” Arthur asked.
“Four or five euros. She’s probably going to spend it on candy.” Charles replied, grabbing his orange juice and drinking from it.
“Papa! Maman! The tooth fairy gave me one hundred euros!” Ruby ran to the kitchen where she found her entire family eating breakfast. That made Charles choke on his drink and spill most of it on himself.
“Ruby, let me see,” Ruby handed her mother the money she was given. After double checking, it was clear that Ruby definitely had one hundred euros. “Wow, the tooth fairy did give you a lot of money.” Y/n glanced at Charles, who frantically searching for his wallet.
“Can we go buy Barbie’s dream house? My Barbies told me they want the one with the pool.” Ruby asked.
“Barbies don’t talk.” Arthur teased. He and Ruby always joked around with each other.
“Not to you.” Replied Ruby. “Ask uncle Enzo. Tour guide Barbie told him Italy is the best place to ask auntie Charlotte to marry him.”
Lorenzo nodded, playing along with the girl. “It’s true. Tour guide Barbie doesn’t lie.”
“Is there a teacher Barbie so she can teach your papa how to count?” Y/n asked.
Ruby stayed silent and thought about her collection of Barbies. Then she gasped. “There is.”

Spy x Family Code: White Analysis
I finally saw the Spy x family movie Code: White!!
It was fantastic. I loved it 💖
Here's what I think (spoilers below the picture 😉):
Tumblr media
Twilight
It's super evident Twilight cares A LOT about his family. As soon as Handler tells him someone else will take over Operation Strix, he's worried and, during the movie, he goes around like a crazy man doing all sorts of crazy things to keep his family. Nevertheless, the biggest giveaway about this happens when:
Twilight puts Anya before his mission!! Yes, you read right: Agent Twilight receives a direct order from WISE telling him that recovering the microfilm had priority over rescuing Anya and Mr. Spy puts his daughter's safety first and goes to her rescue (which eventually led to getting the microfilm back, but still).
Yor
Yor is a total mom here. She protects her baby and plays with her too 😌 She acts like a mom too because she's always trying to keep the family together; she's the one who reminds that to Loid when he's all frantic working. Here, Yor displays one of her best quality: emotional intelligence. And of course, during the movie at the big fight scene she looks like a total badass.
Now about the big Twiyor moment...
Like I mentioned before here, there's a fake and a real Twiyor moment in the movie. The fake Twiyor moment happens when Yor gets drunk and asks Loid to tell her how he really feels about her (!!!)...before passing out đŸ«€ You've probably seen plenty of images about that:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The real Twiyor moment happens later, thanks to the captain of the Twiyor ship đŸ«Ą Anya Forger, who pushes her parents to ride the Ferris wheel alone so they can flirt. Here, Yor tells him (crying) that she saw him with his "girlfriend" and Loid clarifies it was just a random stranger (it was Nightfall) asking for directions. This is when the real Twiyor moment happens:
Tumblr media
Listen, we could argue that Twilight here was being a liar and trying to fix the situation between them "for the mission", but I choose to believe something different. In my opinion, Twilight was being sincere and he wanted not only to reassure Yor but to pour his heart out and reassure himself. Come on, the man repeated their wedding vows! He was getting carried away (it was too much for our shy Yor) and if it wasn't for Yor punching him out of the Ferris wheel, I think this would have ended in the Twiyor kiss we've all been waiting 😆 (maybe one day!).
Something worth mentioning is that when Twilight and Yor get off the Ferris wheel, Anya reads their minds, but we don't get to know what her parents are thinking 😏 she just smiles and that's how she knows everything is okay between her parents. Little sus, right? I am sure Anya knows what's really going on between those two (read about that here).
This happens again, when Twilight rescues Anya from the kidnappers. We all know Mr. Spy is bad at expressing his emotions, so when he's finally reunited with his daughter, he doesn't show much of anything. Anya hugs him, picks her head up and reads his mind. Just like the last time, we don't get to know what Anya reads inside her papa's mind, but she smiles. Funny how this only happens twice in the movie, in both occasions related to his wife and daughter đŸ€”
So now, the big question: Is this movie canon?
In this case, every person who sees the movie can form their own opinion about that. In my opinion, since there was no identity reveal nor anything that would change the plot in the manga, I think it's okay to consider it canon. So, until the author says it's not canon, I'm going to consider it part of it.
Overall, it was a fantastic movie, very funny, with plenty of Forger family moments and that something that makes Spy x family so special 💖

Hi everyone. I've been asked by Heshem (@support-hesham) to share his story with you.
Heshem is a father who dearly loves his family. When the opportunity to evacuate came, he chose to spend every single penny he had to evacuate his wife and 3 children, while he himself stayed behind in Gaza. His family is now in Morocco, while Heshem, not having the funds to evacuate, is still in Gaza. He now lives in a tent with his relatives, including his niece Seham who is injured and requires medical treatment. His uncle was recently shot and had bled to death.
His 3 young children: Katia (11), Nabil (5) and Linda (1), are now separated from their father. Katia is severely traumatized by the horrors she has witnessed in Gaza. She has seen her best friend and her cousin pulled from the rubble, seriously injured from sharpnel and the impact from the bombing, and she is scarred by this memory. Nabil is diagnosed with mild delayed speech, and this genocide has worsened his speech development. The only word he can say now is 'papa', who is trapped in Gaza and cannot be there with him.
The children miss their father a lot, and are constantly worried about him. They are afraid that their father will not survive the bombs, they fear that their father will not be able to find food and water. With the rising prices in Gaza, Heshem struggles to buy basic necessities. But he remains concern for his family abroad because he has no resources to support them. Please help Heshem reunite with his 3 young children!

Can you please write some hc's of pirate Sukuna reuniting with the reader and their daughter. Maybe he happens to raid another ship which they happen to be sailing on.
Okay!
It depends on a lot of things (the daughter’s age, how often he visits them, etc.) but lets just say the daughter is around six years old and even though it’s been a while since he visited (like a year or so), his tattoos are so distinctive that even a child her age could recognize him.
The pirates on the raiding crew are mostly new, so they don’t recognize Reader or her daughter, so the two of them are tied up like the rest.
When Sukuna boards the ship, looking all menacing and intimidating, a loud cry of “Papa!” rings out across the deck.
Two things happen at the same time: Sukuna notices his princess is tied up and the two pirates who did it realize they’re dead men walking. Reader had tried to tell them who she was, but they hadn’t listened.
Sukuna immediately frees Reader and their daughter and has them escorted to his ship while he takes care of the rest. Meaning he slaughters every other passenger without even picking any women for the crew (something he started back doing after Reader left) and guts the two pirates in particular who had the gall to put their filthy hands on his girls.
The whole thing puts him in a bad mood, because he’s went to great lengths to keep them safe but here they are, in danger. But his mood improves when he goes back to his ship, opens the door to his quarters, and his little girl is waiting to leap into his arms.
While he has his reputation to protect in front of his crew, in the privacy of his quarters he’s totally wrapped around his daughter’s finger. She can do no wrong, and there’s nothing he won’t buy or do for her. Reader worries about their relationship, because Sukuna simultaneously spoils their daughter rotten and stays away from her, so it’s not like they can build a strong and healthy relationship (Reader wishes he would send less gold and gifts and instead visit more often).
Truthfully, he’s always thinking of them and would like to see them more, but he would rather live without them than put targets on their backs. He has a lot of enemies. But now they’re on the ship with him and they’re a three week voyage away from where they were going. So this will be the longest amount of time he’s ever spent with his daughter.
He shows her around the ship and she basically has the run of it. He orders a couple of his most trusted crew members to keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t get hurt. They even watch her some nights so that he and Reader can have some time alone.
After the three weeks are up and he drops them off, he won’t admit it to anyone but he misses them terribly. He’s in a sour mood for days afterward. But he does start visiting them more often after that.

The Second Quarrel
🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕
After Jaehaerys proclaims his son will be heir over his granddaughter, Alysanne and he have their second monumental quarrel. Separating YN from her dear friend once again.
🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕
Masterlist
YN skipped around the red keep, having finished her lessons with the septa earlier she was excited to find Daemon or watch him as he practiced his lessons. She wished Gael could come watch him with her, but she was slower with her studies so she had to stay behind. On the way to the training yard, YN had the brilliant idea to visit her father. Deciding that this was a better course of action, YN detoured and hopped her way to her father’s council. Knowing that her mother would be there most likely made her go a little faster.
As soon as she was within earshot, YN slowed down. Having heard raised voices and seen the guards waver she questioned herself. The eight year old recognized her parents voices and started to make her way toward the room cautiously only to be stopped by the guards who showed a face of concern.
“Best not to interrupt, little princess.” One of the guards kindly said. Though both guards felt bad when YN looked at them with sadness. “Perhaps you can sit outside and wait for the queen?”
“No. I’ll see mama and daddy later.” YN said sadly. Before she went she placed her ear against the door to listen for a moment.
“... If your grace truly believes women lack the wit to rule, plainly you have no further need of me.” YN heard her mother’s angry voice.
Before anyone could leave, YN turned away and started to find the training yard. She stopped when she heard a slamming door and saw her mother storming her way towards her. The angry look on her mothers face made her nervous and made her want to forget about seeing Daemon.
“Mama
” YN tried to speak.
“YN. Get ready. We’re leaving for Dragonstone.” Alysanne told her child as she grabbed YN’s tiny hand in hers. “I’ll tell your septa to pack your things.”
“I wanted to say hello to Daemon
” YN whispered and teared up.
Alysanne sighed at this and ran her fingers through her daughter's silver hair. “Alright. Say your goodbyes to Daemon. Then come to your rooms immediately afterwards. Do not cry my love. I am not angry with you.”
YN wiped her eyes and continued her journey to the training yard. She knew Daemon would be there, since he took his training seriously. If he wasn’t learning the history of their house and of Valyria. YN thought he was very gifted and talented. He was one of her best friends after all. After Gael of course. So she tried to think of all the things she wanted to say to him, everything that was going through her mind. She hadn’t seen Daemon since her brother’s funeral. Her mother and father still wanted to keep them apart. YN never understood why, she loved spending time with Daemon. And assumed one day that he would be married to her older sister Gael as they were close in age and in the tradition of their house.
Eventually, after dragging her feet, YN found her way to the training yard. She smiled at the sight of her other brother Baelon with Daemon and Viserys. Baelon stopped his swordplay with his younger son to smile at his sister. Daemon followed his father’s gaze and instantly beamed when he saw his favorite person.
“Ah YN. Has mother released you to us?” Baelon asked and knelt to his sister, accepting her kiss on his cheek.
“I need to speak to Daemon.” YN stated and walked toward Daemon after Baelon nodded to her.
“I’ve missed you since that day of the funeral. It is terrible that we were reunited under such a sad moment.” Daemon tried to charm. But as usual it went over YN’s head.
“I have so much to say but I don’t know how to say it.” YN said looking down at her hands.
“You can say everything to me.” Daemon reassured. Then was taken aback by YN reaching forth and hugging him tightly.
“Mama and papa got in another fight. And now I’m to go away to Dragonstone.” YN whimpered and placed her face on his shoulder.
“So you'll be gone. Again?”
“I hate being away. But I’m pulled like a toy between mama and papa. I only have Gael.” YN cried.
“You have me.” Daemon pulled back and placed his hands on her upper arms looking at her sad face. “We’ll write. We’ll keep in touch. They can’t keep us apart from each other.”
“You’re one of my best friends. Do you promise to write me? Even if I’m not that smart or interesting?” YN asked.
“I’ll keep you in check of everything that happens here. You can’t get rid of me.” Daemon tried to kiss her on the cheek, but YN unknowingly pulled away and smiled at him. Before he could say anything else, YN walked away from him not paying attention to his intense gaze on her back.
After saying goodbye to Viserys and Baelon, YN did as her mother said and made her way to her room. She sighed at the sight of her septa packing her clothes away in cases and did as the septa said. Staying out of the way and grabbing her toy carved clay turtle. YN asked where her mother was, but got her answer when she heard shouting from another room. Slinking away to the other room and regretting it instantly when she saw her beloved parents fighting once again.
“YOU’LL NOT TAKE MY DAUGHTER FROM ME!” Jaehaerys shouted.
“Why shouldn’t I?! You place no value in women! No value in your daughters!” Alysanne bit back.
“YN is my youngest child! My most precious girl! I’ll not allow you to take her!” Her father yelled.
“So you can force her to marry?! So you can hold her as less than a man?! I know your heart and you care nothing for our girls! You’ve not even asked about Gael!”
Jaehaerys sighed angrily. “I have my reasons for what I do Alys!”
“So do I! And YN is coming with me! I dare you to try and take her!”
“Fine! Take her! Separate her from her father and see how quickly she begins to hate you!”
“You’ll never turn my daughter against me!”
The argument ended with another slammed door. YN silently used the other door to leave. Silently sitting on her bed in her and Gael’s room. Bowing her head down and crying as quietly as she could. She didn’t want to leave. She hated her parents fighting, especially over her. Blaming herself for the fight and not being brave enough to stop it. She hated leaving Daemon, hated being put above her playmate Gael.
Gael noticed her favorite sister crying on the bed. Making her way over and sitting next to her. She wrapped her arms around her younger sister and tried comforting her. Gael was not as fast or as witty as others but she could always be there for her sister. The two understood each other better than anyone.
Humming a song, Gael calmed her sister down. Then hugged her tight.

Phillip Graves x f!reader
PART ONE!
Summary : it’s been 10 years since you packed up and left your small town for greener pastures, but after recklessly deciding to come back after so long you’re reunited with the former love of your life - Phillip Graves
Word count : 3.4k
A/N : as metroman would say, ‘my death was highly exaggerated’. Sorry for taking so long to put something out but hope that everyone enjoys! Yearning part 3 is also in the works <3
Tumblr media
“One day, when we’re out of here - just you and me - I’m gonna ask you out real nice, darlin’.”
It’s August, 1994, nearing the end of high school. It’s a humid Friday evening and the both of you are sitting on the edge of the dock that only the town fisherman knows about. But he’s not here tonight.
You chuckle at him, “Thought you said you’d never consider leaving, Phil.”
He’s got that dorky grin plastered on his face, his dimples visible.
“If it were with you, I’d leave in a heartbeat.”
“I knew you’d say that!” You hit his shoulder playfully and he can only laugh.
It’s your usual thing; sitting together on the docks after school until late as possible. As late as it can get before your papa considers reaching for his rifle to find the troublemaker keeping his daughter out till ‘God knows when’ as he said. So you cherish these childish yet heartfelt moments, even if you’re both 17 and have big lives far ahead of you.
“What? It’s the truth, hon.” He smiles, wrapping an arm around you.
“I wouldn’t have guessed otherwise. I’m not the kind of girl you lie to, Phillip Graves.”
“So does that mean you would?”
“I would what exactly?” You cock an eyebrow at him, expecting a dirty joke of some sort.
“You know.. go out with me. Real fancy, too. I’ll dress up and everything, just for you.” He adds, his hand now reaching for your face.
Your breath hitches at the way his thumb brushes over your bottom lip. You stole your mother’s lipstick for moments like these. Leaving that little red stained mark on him.
He withdraws his thumb slowly, squinting in the dark. You could see the way his smile grew as he examined the smudged rouge on his fingertip.
“That’s pretty, darlin’. That for me?”
What comes out of your mouth is a whisper and you couldn’t explain why; maybe it was the glint in his eyes as he said it, the way his lips were parted slightly as he looked back up at you from his hand.
“Yes.. Yes.” You swallow thickly, your gaze fixated on him and what he could do next.
“Really? Well, I think that answers my other question then.” He’s beginning to get up now and your eyes widen as you frantically get on your feet to follow him.
“What does that mean?”
He stops in his tracks, turning to face you again. He’s still smiling but his arm is now concealed behind his back.
“It means that I know it’s the right time to give you this.”
It’s a small box.
You approach him slowly, your bare feet not making a sound on the wooden boards of the dock. Once you’re finally inches away from him, he flicks it open.
A ring. A beautiful ring is now before your eyes; a small, golden ring with a big, shining gem in the centre.
You could cry, and you almost do as you let out a choked sob but Phillip quickly wraps his arms around you.
“Don’t- don’t cry, sugar.. unless they’re happy tears, I hope.” He murmurs into your ear, hand caressing your back gently.
“They’re happy. They’re so
 so happy, I swear.” You catch yourself between your gasps for air.
He waits a moment, taking the time to memorise the way your bodies align. How perfectly they fit into each other. But when he pulls away, a hand comes up again to wipe your tears.
“I just thought
 even if- you know, you go to do the amazing things that you’re meant to and I end up staying here or there
 That I’ll always be with you. Just a little part of me you can carry around forever. Now, why don’t you try it on and see if I got the measurements right, okay?” He prompts carefully, allowing you to hold out a shaky hand as he slots it into your finger.
“It fits like a glove, Phil. I can’t believe you did this..”, you take a deep breath, trying not to cry.
“Why wouldn’t I? You’re the only girl I’ve ever want to cherish like this.” As he brings his finger away from your cheek, he leans in.
You share a kiss that you could’ve never imagined happening with any boy in that wretched town.
Except, Phillip Graves was the only thing that made staying there worth it.
-
You must have been daydreaming again, playing with the ring still on your finger after all these years.
You run a completely different ship now; miles away in the city, married and thriving.
You would’ve never believed your future turned out like this. Not without Phillip.
A business all to yourself and your husband, and hopefully for your future kids too. A display of pride and joy that you’ve managed to work for and build with your own hands.
You attempt to direct your focus to the ring that your husband gave you instead. It’s silver and covered in small little gems, always sparkling in some way. A way to represent how your husband’s love seems to be only visible in objects. How they won’t stop pestering you at this rate.
Five years have gone by since this much flashier ring was presented to you on your summer vacation.
And now you’re here - surrounded by bustling trains, people and business that you can’t seem to escape.
The rush of the city never seems to alleviate, even if you’re a day away from your vacation that you’ve been planning for weeks now.
No husband. No business or constant phone calls. Just you and the countryside.
Obviously, you weren’t entirely sure on the idea of going back there. Not after that charming rascal Phillip Graves.
But your ma and pa kept calling which made you realise you just needed a break from the city. You needed the hot, dry days and cool, breezy evenings back at the family house. When your pa used to come back after work almost covered in sweat and you’d still run up to him and hug him like he’d just come back from war. The fresh pies you’d try to eat even when they were too hot and you still kept the piece in your mouth because you were so hungry. Those foolish nights when Phillip would knock on your window after hours and you’d sneak out to the wildest places imaginable - it was all such a daydream that you never would’ve wanted to leave.
But, this is where you are now.
You place your coffee cup down a little suddenly onto your desk, raking a hand through your hair.
“Louis? Louis, honey?” You get up and charge out of your office, looking both ways down the hall.
“Louis?” You repeat, calling out to him.
“Yes, baby?” He’s walking towards you at a leisurely pace, phone pressed up against his ear as he lowers his voice to talk to you.
“Do you uhm.. need me here right now?” You bite the inside of your cheek as you wait for an answer - a finger held up to your face.
Wait.
Your whole face seems to scrunch at the sight of it, frowning as he laughs and smiles at his phone.
“Right- yeah, I’ll call you back. No, it won’t be long.” He ends the call, putting his brick phone into his suit pocket.
“What’s up?”
“I said, do you need me to be here?”
“Well, it’s nice to have you around. Always helpful to have a spare hand.”
“Yeah, I understand. But-“
“Is it about your trip? You’re not going?”
You sigh.
“No, I am going still. I just want to get ready now since it’s going to be a long drive and I don’t want to waste time tomorrow.”
“If you say so. But what if I need you here right now? You’re going to be too busy packing for the hillbilly hellhole.”
Okay, your marriage isn’t the most functional. Or romantic.
Louis isn’t horrible - just a little less emotional than you would’ve hoped. Maybe even a little manipulative. But who’s psychoanalysing that, because it’s definitely not you.
It’s very obvious that you’re the only one that notices this behaviour.
You try not to dwell and take another deep breath.
“Well, my parents live in that ‘hillbilly hellhole’ and I’d like to pack all my extra things so I will be going now.”
“Alright, if you say so.” He waves a hand carelessly at you. Dismissing you.
You don’t say anything back, you can only bite your tongue and grip your suitcase handle like it’s about to fall off.
It was never this bad at the beginning, but that’s what they always say, isn’t it?
Recently, he’s just been so out of touch with you and your love life but you don’t even want to know why. It could probably break you, or worse.
So now, here you are, packing frantically for that ‘hillbilly hellhole’ that you call home. You don’t even know why you’re so excited, the items seem to fly into your suitcase as you run around the house to grab anything else you might need. Even if the majority of it is still in your old room, waiting for you expectantly.
That morning felt like the beginning of something big.
Getting up at the crack of dawn, brushing your teeth and getting ready for a holiday that you’ll never forget.
Jumping into that car felt like a breath of fresh air as you rolled down your window hastily, not bothering to bid goodbye since you’re too busy hitting the road.
It’s a nice feeling; being able to have your music turned up as loud as you like as you get to look out for all the wonderful sights to see on the journey. It’s a sense of accomplishment, that’s what you declare to yourself as you rifle through your CD album to choose the next one to play.
It’s even a shock when you find some hidden CDs you burnt when you were younger, the sound of nostalgia bringing back memories of your childhood.
The hum of the dingy, flickering bulbs in the gas station seem to be the only thing you can focus on as you slowly prowl the aisles, waiting for something to catch your eye. Colourful, fluorescent wrappers seem to jump out of their display and into your hands as you collect many sugary delights that would make your husband cock a brow at you. But he’s not here, so you pay no mind as you take them to the register and pour them all in the passenger seat before you get back on the road once more.
The roads seem to blend into each other as you continuously drive for what seems like days, when in reality is only a couple of hours. It’s much more tense when you consider what awaits you back home.
It’s been at least 10 years since you’ve left, and you never looked back.
Sure, family would come to visit the city and you’d enjoy that; it was easier being able to forget about what was left behind. Yet it still doesn’t seem completely buried, as if it’s dormant and waiting for you to release it once more.
It wasn’t long until you’d arrive soon. You were beginning to recognise the trails and overgrown trees arching over each other as you drove through what felt like a leafy tunnel, snippets of sunlight peeking through.
The breeze cleansed your skin, airing out the car along with the gentle way it soothed your skin as you drove at a leisurely pace.
As much as you were content right now, you knew it may not last for long once revisiting everything that was abandoned years ago. It’s definitely not ruining the atmosphere nor making you now more nervous than ever.
You’ve made it.
You almost want to stop your car in front of the town’s welcome sign, but decide against it and instead drive even slower to encapsulate the same old views that you used to.
As you look around, nothing has changed.
It’s still the same old town, with only minor adjustments to keep up with the times. It’s as if someone’s polished it ever so slightly, while keeping the same ‘look’.
You could turn back. Nobody has seen you yet, it could be your chance-
No. You’re here now, there’s just no point in cowering away.
Pulling up to the familiar drive of your family home, the fresh scent of washed linen and lavenders waft in the air. Your mother has clipped the washing up in the front yard, just like you remember, and your father has clearly been tending to the garden like he’d promised you.
Ten years ago.
It’s beginning to form a pit in the bottom of your stomach. Maybe this wasn’t a good idea from the start.
Just and you’re about to turn to your car, a voice suddenly shrieks.
“Honey!? Is that you?” Your mother’s hands tremble, the basket of sheets toppling to the floor as she brings a hand to her face.
You didn’t realise she would’ve had this sort of reaction, but you didn’t want to question it at all.
“Mom, don’t cry!” You walk over to her, wrapping an arm around her reassuringly.
“I’m- I’m not, baby..” she inhales shakily, “Oh, maybe I am. Look at me.. crying like this..” she murmurs, wiping her eyes gently.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you.” You whisper.
“It’s okay, dear. Just wait until your father hears.”
Your father was absolutely enthralled seeing you, almost as emotional as your mother as he hugs you firmly.
It’s been too long. Why did you leave them behind like this? That’s the main question running through your head, even if you had the rightful reasons to leave you couldn’t help but still feel guilty for what you did.
After a heartfelt moment of hugging and exchanging ‘I missed you’s’, you finally get to come inside the house.
It’s barely changed, still your dreamy childhood home. The floorboards still creak in the exact spots they used to, reminding you of the way you practically jumped over them when it came to sneaking out at night.
The furniture stayed quite similar, even the new items still referencing to the old ones that used to be there. It felt as if you’d walked into a time capsule.
“Oh, honey, it’s so good to have you back. Maybe we should arrange a small get together. Just to celebrate.” Your mother chimes, smiling as she follows you, still entranced by the same childlike wonder that seemed to come back after all these years.
“We kept your room just the same.” Your father adds, smiling at your excited grin and haste to run up the stairs to what used to be your room.
You almost shriek at the sight of it when you push open the door hurriedly.
It’s just the way you’d left it. Feminine, soft pinks decorate the room as your antique vanity catches the corner of your eye.
“Wow. Wow. Wow- it’s just- so..”, you sniffle and take a deep breath. You can’t cry again, it’ll wear you out at this rate.
You practically topple onto your bed. Relishing in the threatening squeak of the mattress as you sink into your duvet. It’s the same duvet, but smells fresh.
Knowing your parents, they probably washed it while you were away in hopes that you’d come back.
Your mother stands by the doorway, watching with a warm smile as nostalgia floods both of your senses.
“I’ll take that as a yes. I’ll invite all the neighbours, even that Phillip boy-“
You whip your head around, eyes wide.
“Is- is that necessary, ma?”
“Why? Did something happen?” She frowns.
Your father calls from down the hallway, “Do I need to get my rifle back out?”
“No
 it’s okay, pa.” You get up and walk over to your mother, who takes your hands in hers with concern.
“What is it then? I don’t have to invite him if you want.”
You shake your head slowly.
“It’s okay.”
“You sure?”
You nod.
-
The next day had began to eat at you with anxiety before it even began.
You woke up earlier than you were supposed to, waiting under the covers as you listened for any movement of some sort.
Clear.
You get up, open the curtains to meet a dreary ray of sunlight slowly enveloping your whole body as you push them open further. It’s warm, almost welcoming as you smile to yourself.
However, beneath all of this was a growing fear now seeping into you.
It had been years since you’d heard the name ‘Phillip Graves’ and you were hoping you wouldn’t have had to hear it again. But it was clearly inevitable.
You splash a little water onto your face and wrap one of your dainty silk robes around yourself, it’s too early to properly get ready for the day.
This prompts you to sneak downstairs, tiptoeing slowly as if you were in a mine field. You didn’t want to disrupt your parents right now.
It’s almost instinct when you turn towards the front door and unlock it, breathing in the fresh summer breeze. Your shoulders relax and somehow you feel at ease.
Now on the porch, you ease yourself into the familiar swinging bench that used to be your favourite spot as a teen. You vividly remember waiting in this seat when Phillip promised to pick you up for a date in his daddy’s worn out truck.
Memories.
You lean back, wistfully closing your eyes as you sink into the cushions and let the memories take over your mind.
That’s why you’re almost sure you’re hallucinating when an oddly familiar revving of an engine blares in your ears as this clearly imaginary car halts to a stop.
You snap up, blinking drearily as you immediately look in the direction of the noise.
“Sugar, what are you doing here?”
No way.
You don’t move, you can’t move.
It’s Phillip Graves, the former love of your life.
He’s hopping out of his truck, staring in disbelief as he saunters towards you. He’s chuckling, placing his hat firmly on his head as he steps cautiously onto your porch.
“Am I dreaming? Or is your dad reloading his shotgun at this very moment?” He smiles, now seemingly unfazed after a few seconds of processing the sight before him.
You, on the other hand, are not responding very well to this. You wrap your robe over your chest in sheer embarrassment while still looking up at him, slack jawed, from your seat.
It finally takes a second for you to shake your head and say something. It comes out a little quiet, shaky even.
“They’re
 uhm- they’re sleeping. Right now.” You respond, swallowing thickly and watching his every move like a hawk.
“Hm.” He nods, pursing his lips.
“It’s just you and me then, huh?” Phillip leans against one of the wooden beams of the porch railing, eyes scanning up and down your body.
“Yes.” You whisper, tempted to get up and strangle the cocky smirk that spread across his lips.
“It’s been awhile, didn’t think you’d show up again.”
“No.. no- well, yes it has- but- but I mean no I didn’t really think so either
 not so soon..”
“How come?” His responses are snappy, he doesn’t look at you anymore as his eyes dart over to the front door.
“Uhm, I was just going to visit when I got married but.. changed my mind.” A weak chuckle escaped your lips, which you mentally berate yourself for.
“Well, sugar, this has been nice. Tell your daddy that those parts for the fencing have arrived for me, okay?” He questions, cocking a brow at you.
You nod once more, still so shaken.
“I need words, honey.”
“Yes..”
“Good. I’ll see you later. At your little ‘get together’.”
And with that final farewell, he’s turned away and seems to already be starting up his truck when you’ve blinked.
You would’ve thought he’d changed, maybe even softened after your last night together. But it’s shocking how he managed to sober up a few seconds after seeing you.
You can only watch limply as his truck fades away in the distance.
Was he hiding something?

Chasing Fireflies - Chevalier Michel x Reader (Ikemen Prince)
Tumblr media
A/N: Part of the Summer Days Sultry Night writing event I am co-hosting with @violettduchess
Pairing: Chevalier Michel x Reader
Prompt: fireflies and summer festival
Tags: fluff

“Look, Papa!”
The young boy proudly held out his cupped hands to his father; nestled inside was a firefly, its abdomen glowing brightly in the fading twilight sky.
Chevalier smiled softly as he watched his son gaze at the firefly, his face alight with joy, amazed that amidst all the lights and sounds of the summer festival that this small creature captured his full attention.
“What are you going to do with him?” Chevalier asked his son as the firefly crawled along one of his small fingers.
The boy looked up at his father, his attention finally pulled from the tiny insect. “I’ll let him go,” he replied quickly, as if there was no other answer in the world. “I just wish Mama was here to see.”
“Your mother and sister will be back shortly. With a pile of books, I’m sure.” The firefly fluttered his wings before flying away, his flickering light soon disappearing in the distance.
“Goodbye, firefly.”
Something stirred inside Chevalier as he watched his young son wave goodbye to his friend the firefly. Looking back on his own childhood, he couldn’t recall a single, innocent moment like this shared with either of his parents. This. This affection, this connection, this love was everything he had been missing and craving for so many years.
That all changed when he met you.
Chevalier looked up, his smile bright like the firefly, as soon as he spotted your figure approaching. In one of your hands was a small stack of books pressed against your chest; the other hand held a smaller hand, that of your young daughter.
Warmth filled his body with his family reunited, his queen by his side. No longer a strange feeling, it was something he secretly wished would never go away.
“What did you two do while we were shopping?” you asked, genuinely curious.
“I caught a firefly, Mama. But
he flew away before you came back.”
“Oh, that’s a shame. I wish I could have seen him.
Something in the air caught Chevalier’s eye; he reached out, his fingers outstretched, quickly closing into a loose fist. He turned over his hand, his fingers opening to reveal a tiny firefly in his large palm.
“Papa, you caught one!” the boy and girl exclaimed together excitedly.
Chevalier turned to you, proud to present you this prize. He cupped his hands like his son did earlier, careful to not let the firefly fly away just yet. He stood there silently, simply enjoying the childlike joy that filled your face.

five years, one thousand eight hundred and twenty five days

you never forget your first love, and in his case - it'd been five years since he lost her - and she never left his mind, every corner of their home serves as a reminder of a moment they shared, both good and bad ... each moment leading up to the birth of their child maria, now five years old, dominik realized that one way or another, she'll ask about her, yet what he did not expect was for her to ask now of all times.
on their anniversary ...
dominik had set up the living room with twinkling lights, had bowls of snacks on the coffee table; a blanket just in case it got chilly and of course, their special pajamas for movie nights, a tradition he used to do with her, and one he hopes to continue with his little one, as the pair got comfy under the blanket and he proceeded to press play is when his daughter pipes up with the most aching question that he expected.
"papa, what happened to anya?" asked maria curiously, as she was sitting next to him.
a brief wave of silence washes over him, how on earth was he going to tell his five year old daughter that her mother had passed away mere hours after childbirth. "uh ... erm." he visibly gulps, pausing the film to gather his thoughts. "she went to heaven."
maria tilts her head, confused by his words. "why?"
dominik groaned inwardly, "i ... she ..." he grabs the water bottle; takes a big gulp then proceeds to continue. "when god blessed us with you, he asked your anya to come to heaven."
"oh?" maria said, "but why couldn't she stay? all the other children are with their anya's but not me." she murmurs softly.
"that's cause ..." dominik pauses, his eyes brimming with tears as he remembers that very day he lost her.
__
"promise me," she murmurs, her hand weakly reaching over to interlock his hand in hers, "promise me you'll move on and be happy."
dominik grunts under his breath before he replied with a shaky voice, "i ... can't, you know i can't." he wiped his tears furiously, "why did this have to happen?"
she gently tugs him close, then whispers. "god has his own plans, we can never control our fates, besides." she sniffles, then murmurs. "i won't truly be away, i'll watch over you two and ensure that you don't let our little angel down."
a choked sob escaped dominik's lips as he said, "what if i fail? what if i fail her?"
"no," she interjects, pulling him for an embrace as they both sob softly. "you won't fail, because you've been the best support system i have ever had, you didn't miss a single appointment, you endured every class and spent nights talking to her before she came, when i tell you that you'll be the best father in the world, you will be the best father in the world."
dominik sobs in her arms, "i don't want you to leave me." he whispers.
"i have to my love, ... in another life, we'll reunite." she whispers, kissing his forehead.
__
"god needed new angels," dominik sighs, pulling maria close to him. "and your anya was the best angel there is, she ... uh." he gulps then exhales, "she was my biggest supporter when i first started playing football."
"nagymama said that you've known her since you were little." maria recalled.
dominik smiled sadly, and nodded. "yes, i did ... your anya had moved to my neighborhood when i was your age, and while your nagymama's were chatting, i approached your anya and i was so shy ..." he chuckles.
__
"hi ..." the five year old curly haired girl waved at him.
dominik waved back, entranced by how beautiful the girl was - her curly locks framing her face in a way that made her look like a princess - he approached her and extended his hand. "i'm dominik."
"nice to meet you." the young girl said and introduced herself, "wanna play with me and mister bubbles?" she gestured to her dog.
their mothers, who were engrossed in chatter paused upon hearing the giggling sounds of their children playing in the front garden, dominik's mother smiled. "looks like they've gotten along rather quickly."
the other woman smiled in response, "they have, why don't you come in for tea then? we can let the kids play."
__
"when did you tell her that you love her?" maria asks her father with a gentle tone.
dominik exhales, once again recalling the very moment he confessed his love to her - it had happened just as the pair moved to germany for her to study, and him to pursue his career further in rb leipzig - "it was right as we moved to germany together, your anya was studying to be a nurse, and while i told her she didn't have to move across the world, and that i'd come to visit her, she insisted." he smiled.
__
"baba?" dominik asks in confusion as the pair proceed to push the boxes inside their newly rented apartment. "what's this?" he gestured to the box.
she pops her head out from the kitchen, her gaze falling on the box dominik was gesturing to, "oh these are my sketching tools." she replied nonchalantly.
dominik raised a brow, "why do you need sketching tools?"
she rolls her eyes then walks over, effortlessly picking up the box then placing it on the counter, she proceeds to open it and pulls out a sketchbook, "listen, if you utter a single word about this, leipzig will not see their new player, are we clear?"
dominik chuckles, "yes ma'am."
she opens the sketchbook and gently slides it over to him, "go on."
confused by her behavior, he flips to the first page and that's when he realized why she made that threat, within the first page was a rough yet clear sketch of a football pitch, and a group of kids playing, one of which had scored a free kick. "is that ...?" he trails off.
she blushed, "your very first free kick! keep going." she prompted him.
he flips to the next page, this time it was a rough sketch of a male holding up a football shirt. "what's this?"
"when you first signed for liefering, i watched the press conference and i couldn't help it, i was just too proud to see you make such a big step." she smiles.
he flips to the next page, and the other, and the other ... each rough sketch representing a big notable moment in his life, and upon reaching the last page, a broad smile appeared across his lips. "your fifteenth birthday." he murmurs.
"you gave me my first kiss, and it was the best moment of my life." she smiles, "in fact, the best after you scored that goal for me but sti-"
before she could continue, dominik pulls her in for a gentle yet passionate kiss that lasted for about a minute before he pulls away and whispers, " i love you."
__
"so the drawing of you two in my room? she drew it." maria smiles.
dominik nods, "uh huh ... i have the others stored, and will hang them up in your room soon."
maria grows silent for a brief moment before she piped up, "so if you told anya you loved her when you both moved to germany, when did you ask her to marry you?"
dominik grins, it was during leipzig's fantastic dfb-pokal win - the adrenaline rush of reigning victorious had pushed him to finally take the next step, "when we won the domestic cup in germany, your anya was there, and our families too ... when she came down to celebrate with me, i couldn't wait any longer."
__
"baby, you won ... you won!!!!" she squealed embracing him then pulling away, "look at you, i am so proud of you."
dominik smiled then pulled her in for a kiss, "i couldn't have done it without you baba, you've been there for me in every step."
she smiled, "it's all you baby."
dominik's teammate dani olmo approached the pair then said, "so, did you do it yet?"
she raised a brow as dominik's cheeks became pink with sheer embarrasment, "i haven't" he whisper shouted.
her lips curve up in an amused smile, "dominik?"
dominik breathes out a soft sigh, "remember when that weekend when i said i went out with the boys to relax?"
"yeah?" she said.
"well, i went back home to speak to your father and ask him for his blessings." dominik smiles sheepishly.
her eyes widen, "his blessings?"
dominik proceeded pull out his chain then gently tug on it to remove what she now sees as a simple yet beautiful ring. "i've been holding onto this for eight months." he begins shakily, "and now more than ever is the perfect time."
she gasps as he proceeds to get down on one knee, "dominik." she whispers.
"from the moment you and your family moved in, when i ..." he smiles tearfully, "when i saw you playing with mister bubbles," he chuckles taking a moment to gather his thoughts. "i knew that you're the one for me, and i want this to be forever, i want us to be forever so ..." he wipes his tears then says, "will you make me even happier than i am now and be my wife?"
she took a brief moment before nodding tearfully, "yes ... yes, a million times yes."
__
"we got married in a small garden in our hometown, with only our friends and families, then ..." dominik trails off as he exhales a deep breath, "god blessed us with you."
"were you happy?" maria asks.
"beyond happy." dominik smiles, "your anya was sneaky, when my team and i won the dub-pokal again, and i came home ..." he trails off.
__
dominik walks in, "baba, i'm home!" he calls out for his wife before gazing down at the ground and noting the dried up rose petals scattered to create a path leading to the living room. "baba?"
he proceeds to walks in further to the living room where he found his wife of two years standing in the middle of a heart created by the rose petals, with a soft smile he asked her, "what's all this?"
she smiles, "open the letter ..."
he takes the folded letter from her, raising a brow before he unfolds it to read.
"my dearest dominik, words betray me when i wrote this because i cannot think of the proper words to describe just how much i love you, you're the best blessing i could have ever been given. before i met you, i was the little girl that barely spoke to anyone, preferring to be alone rather than meet new people and the minute you walked into my life ... you made me a better person, you made my life more meaningful than it could have ever been, i guess what i want to say ... i can't wait to see what you will do when our blessing arrives. yours truly forever."
dominik raised a brow once more then looked up at her, "blessing ... wha-what do you mean?" he asks with a shaky voice.
she smiled tearfully then gestured to her belly, "congratulations papa." she whispers.
dominik strides over and embraces her, "you're pregnant ... you're ... you're actually pregnant!" he exclaims gleefully. "we're going to be parents."
"i love you." she kissed him, "i love you so so much."
"i love you too." he murmurs.
__
"papa, why are you crying?" maria asks, gently reaching over to wipe his tears her hands.
dominik embraces his daughter, "i'm not crying sweetheart, i'm just happy because ..." he sighs, "you look just like your anya when she was little."
"i do?" maria smiles.
"down to the last detail, so if you ever feel like you miss her, do what i do ..." he whispers, stroking her hair. "look out the window and you'll find the moon, that's when you know that your anya is watching over you, over us."
dominik wipes his tears, i hope you're proud of me, and know that i'll never forget you. he utters silently.

New Years
A week has passed since Christmas. The Christmas decor was stuff up, but it was going to be taken down in a couple of days after new years. It was New Years Eve and you all were excited to go into the new year together.
The last year brought a lot into your life. You met new people. Make more friends. You were reunited with the love of your life. Your daughter finally got to meet her dad, his friends, her papa Mav, Penny, Amelia. You got to marry Bradley. You live with him. You guys got a dog for your daughter and best of all, you welcomed two little boys. Expanded your family. Moved to a new place.
The year also brought a lot of hardships. You had to be away from your newly husband just after a month of marrying him. You had to leave your best friend behind. You nearly lost your husband. You went and are still watching him make his recovery and baby steps towards his career. But, all in all. This year brought you so much more purpose in life.
Bradley was at work getting some paperwork done for his officers. Jake, Nat, and Austin were getting ready for the night out. They asked if you wanted to join them for a couple of hours, and Phantom and Evelyn offered to watch the kids for the night. But you opted to stay home so you could give kisses to all three of them.
Austin, Nat and Jake came down the stairs all dressed nicely for their night out. Nat came from behind the couch and wrapped her arms around your shoulders.
“You sure you don’t want to come with for a couple of hours?”
You laughed and patted her hand. “No you all go ahead. I’m going to stay back with the kiddos and wait for Bradley.”
All three of them gave you a kiss on the cheek. “We will all see you in the morning.” Jake squeezed you a little tighter. “Happy New Year, Y/n.”
You patted Jake’s arms and smiled. “Thank you, Jake. Have fun you guys! Be safe!”
The three of them went to go and say bye to the kids as they played. You watched as they picked each of them up and kissed them and wished them a happy new year.
The three kids were playing on the floor. The boys sitting in their half donut pillows to help support them as they sat on their own, played with their toys. Leia was laying on her tummy reading a book from school. You were sitting on the couch watching them all play as you watched TV and drank some tea.
———-
Bradley’s POV
I had been stuck at work all day trying to finish up paperwork for the new year. I couldn’t wait to leave and go home to spend time with my family. I looked over at the clock in my office. 1845. “Damn I’ve been here for nearly 13 hours.” I stood up and stretched my back and looked out my window to the tarmac. A couple of the officers were down there doing their last checks on their planes before leaving for the day. There was a knock at my door.
“Bradshaw? You in here?” Phantom came in as he knocked on the frame.
I turned and smiled. “Right here, sir.” He came in and shook my hand. “You leaving for the day?”
He chuckled. “I’ve got another hour before I head out. Would you like some company or help with anything?” He sat at the chair in front of my desk.
I made my way around my desk and sat in my chair. “I should almost be done. Just going through some last minute changes for some routes the pilots are gonna fly in the new year. But the company will be nice as i finish it out.” I laughed as i continued to read the new route routine.
“You and y/n want Eve and I to watch the kids tonight?” He sat back in the seat and made small conversation with me.
I chuckled. “No, you, Eve, and the girls don’t have to do that for us. Y/n and I planned on staying home with the kids tonight.”
Phantom picked up my little model f-14 on my desk. “Awh the boys first new years!”
I nodded. “They’re getting so big now. And it is their first!” I signed a couple of route routines and put all the paperwork away. “Finally finished.” I neatly stacked all the worksheets and papers i had gone through in a pile.
“You done for the day, Brad?” Phantom placed the f-14 back in its place.
I sighed and nodded. “Finally. I’ve been sitting in this office for the last 12 hours finishing and pushing paperwork.”
Phantom started to laugh. “How do you like being a senior officer?”
I smiled and laid back in my chair. “It is a whole lot of paperwork, but it is a nice change of pace.”
———-
When we finally left the office, it was 1915. Phantom and I said out goodbyes and wished each other a happy new year.
“See ya next year, Rooster.” Phantom waved at me before hoping into his car.
I laughed. “Yea, see ya next year.” I shook my head and smiled. I got into the truck and headed to the store. I went in and grabbed a couple of New Year’s party hats and crowns. I grabbed a couple of bottles of apple juice and apple cider. I also grabbed some poppers and a couple of noise makers for the kids. I loaded the bags into the truck and headed home to you.
1950. “Finally home.” I got down from the car and grabbed the bags from the back. I opened the door. “I’m home, my loves!” I set the bags down and started to take off my shoes and hung up my hat.
“Daddy!!!” Leia came running through the house and jumped into my arms. I covered her in kisses.
“Hey my little love. I missed you today.” I started to make my way over to you. You picked up both boys and walked over towards me. “Oh baby, don’t pick both of them up.” I let Leia down and grabbed Luke from you. “Hi, baby. I missed you.” I gave you a kiss and then kissed the boys.
“I missed you too, Brad. How was work?” You smiled and wiped your chapstick from my lips.
I grabbed Bradley from your grasp and held both boys. “Busy as usual, honey. Just glad to be home.” I smiled and kissed the boys over and over again. We all made our way back to the couch and we all sat. Leia in between us and the boys on my lap. I looked around and listened. “Did the three older kids leave already?”
You started to chuckle. “Yes, our three eldest left already to go out.” You rested your arm on the back of the couch and laid your chin to your hand. The other reaching over to fix Luke’s tag coming out from his shirt. “They asked if we wanted to join again.”
I laughed and laid back as I watched the boys play with each other’s hands. “They just miss being with us, is all.” Brad put his fingers in my mouth. I gasped and munched on them gently as he started to laugh causing Luke to laugh too. “You boys are so big. Stop growing already.” I grabbed their little hands and gave each of them a kiss.
I leaned over and placed a kiss on Leia’s head and on your cheek. “I’m gonna go and clean up, sweetheart. Get out of this uniform.” I smiled at you as you nodded. I placed the boys back up against their pillows and headed up stairs.
———-
As I finished cleaning up, I looked at the time again. 2030. The time was flying by. I headed back down stairs in some sweats and a white t-shirt. You were getting dinner ready for us. I came into the kitchen and grabbed you from behind. I placed kisses on your neck. “What you making, mama?” I placed my chin on your head.
You giggled. “Leia wanted some Mac and Cheese so I’m making that, along with some chicken and rice.”
I took a deep breath in and smiled. “That is my favorite. Need any help?”
You turned around in my arms and shook your head. “I’m okay. But you can try and feed the boys their rice cereal today.” You poked my chest and smiled.
I nodded. “Yes ma’am.” I gave you a kiss before going to get the boys. I put their high chairs next to each other and went to get the boys. I placed each of them into a chair and put on their silicon bibs that had a food catch. I gave each of them a toy to play with while I got their food ready.
“Leia Rey, come and get your Mac and Cheese, babe.” You had a bowl ready for Leia. She ran over and grabbed it and then went to go and take a seat with her brothers.
I went into the fridge and grabbed one of their bottles that had your milk in it. I poured the whole bottle into a bowl and went to the pantry to grab the tub of the boys rice cereal. I brought it back out and started to scoop some to put into the bowl of milk. Then I mixed it and nuked it in the micro for 45 seconds. When it came out i tested it to make sure it wasn’t too hot for the boys.
“Alright boys. Let’s try today. Can you both eat this for daddy?” I said in the mushiest baby voice I had, causing them to both laugh. I placed the bowl onto the table and sat in a chair in front of the both of them. “Baby brother first.” I scooped some with he spoon and blew on it.
“Here we go Bradley boy. Open wide, babas. Here comes the fighter jet.” I started to mimic the noise. My mouth mimicked the movements little Brad’s mouth made. He spit a little bit up but i scooped it and put it back in his mouth. My eyes went wide.
“Babe! babe! He ate it! Bradley had his first dose of solid food!” I gasped and you ran over. “Now Lukey-Bear. Open up big boy. Here comes the airplane!” I mimicked noises again and my mouth mimicked Luke’s. He ate the whole spoon in one bite.
“OH MY GOSH!!!!” You and I jumped up in unison. Our baby boys had their first dose of solid-ish food. You and I hugged and Leia ran over to join. Leia gave her brothers kisses. I kissed your forehead and wiped your tears. “They did it, babe!!”
———-
2330. This was the latest all of us had stayed up in a long while. We were all practically falling asleep on the couch waiting. Leia was cuddled up on you, the boys both cuddled into my chest. Our kids were fast asleep. You and I were in and out of sleep as we patiently waited for the TV to show the ball drop. Frozen was playing on the TV as we all fell asleep.
———-
Phoenix’s POV
Austin, Hangman, and I stumbled back into the house around 0115. We were laughing because Hangman had just tripped up the drive way and fell face first into the front patio. Austin and I couldn’t breathe as he started to get up. We opened the front door shushing each other so we wouldn’t be loud.
I grabbed Hangman by one arm and Austin grabbed the other. We held him up because he was laughing so hard from falling.
“I feel like such a dumb ass! I hope the neighbors didn’t see that!” He barely whispered through his laughs.
We all walked over to the living area and the lights were still on. Austin went and grabbed us all water from the fridge. Hangman and I saw that The Little Mermaid was playing on the TV. Then we looked down on the couch and saw all 6 of you sleeping on the couch together. Leia cuddled up with you. Bradley with the boys cuddled up on his chest. Gunner in the middle of Bradley and you.
I gasped. “Oh my gosh! How cute!” I said in a whisper. Austin came over to see what the commotion was about.
“That is so precious. They fell asleep before the New year.” He handed us our waters.
I snapped a picture and went to grab blankets. We placed blankets onto all of you and gave everyone kisses. “Good night you guys. Happy New Year. See you all in the morning.”
Jake turned the TV off and left a couple of lights on for you all. The three of us went upstairs to change and get ready for bed. The three of us opted to stay downstairs with you all and sleep, just in case if you guys needed the help.
———-
Your POV
The next morning you woke up and saw you all had fallen asleep on the couch. You stretched slightly and sat up. You saw Jake, Nat, and Austin sleeping on the floor in front of you. you started to laugh. You laid Leia down on the couch and covered her with the blanket. Bradley heard you stirring around and he woke up. He looked around and looked at you.
“Did we fall asleep down here?” He was shocked.
You nodded and laughed. “Yes we did. And before the new year.”
Bradley started to chuckled. “Of course, we did, sweetheart.” He puckered his lips and you went to give him a kiss. “Happy New Year, my love. And the many more to come. I can’t wait to see what this year holds for us. I love you, forever, honey.” He smiled up at you as he continued to hold the boys on his chest.
“Happy New Year, Bradley. I love you, always.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy late new year besties! I hope you all enjoyed ringing in this (late) new year with the Bradshaws! (Kind of 😂) I hope you all have had a blessed and great start to the new year! I’m so glad you’re here ❀ Would you have spent the New Year at home with the Bradshaws, or would you have gone out with Jake, Nat, and Austin? I’ll see you all in the next chapter! đŸ«¶đŸŒ
Sword gays showdown, round 4 of bracket two
*Camilla fanart by @friendamedes, used with permission
Propaganda:
For Camilla:
she prefers dual-wielding two short blades but can fight with pretty much anything. she's ambidextrous she's autistic she's even sex-repulsed ace. she sighs longingly when reunited with her weapons. she's from planet academia and dresses like an off-duty librarian. literally one of the most iconic moments of the entire series is when she gets challenged to a duel and absolutely wipes the floor with her opponent even though she doesn't even like rapiers that much. 'swords don't lie.'
OK I’m sure you’re getting just about every character from The Locked Tomb but Cam is my favorite. She's a nerd AND a jock. She is in this deeply intense and loving and unhealthily codependent soulbond partnership with her best friend second cousin and prince. She is smart and deadpan snarky and fights like a grease fire and I have never been able to get that line out of my head.
For Haruka/Sailor Uranus:
She wields the space sword, one three talismans. She's also in a canon sapphic relationship with fellow sailor soldier sailor neptune and later is raising a child with her and another sailor, sailor pluto. Their daughter calls her papa because she's also a genderqueer icon.
A Secret Darkness
Idea by Stardust948
Part 2 Part 3
Princess Emi of the Fire Nation had always been a happy ball of sunshine. The first born child of Fire Lord Zuko and Fire Lady Katara, she radiated a different type of light than the world had been seen before her birth. A happy baby, Emi began smiling and giggling at two-months-old and rarely stopped since.
For her parents, their eldest child lived up perfectly to her name, meaning “blessing”. After losing so much to the One-Hundred-Year War, both mentally and physically, Emi was the light of their whole worlds right from the moment Katara found out she was pregnant.
Zuko in particular vowed to himself the moment his daughter was born that he would protect her from all of the darkness of the world. Whether it meant spoiling her beyond belief, indulging in Emi’s every whim and dropping whatever he was doing if she as much as called for him, or instinctively picking her up and taking her away from any place or situation that could be considered even the least bit dangerous. Zuko was a protective girl dad through and through.
This protective instinct was often extended to the people Zuko was cautious of letting into his child’s life, including his own family.
Azula hadn’t been a large part of Zuko’s life following the end of the war, having been put in a psychiatric facility almost immediately following her loss during Sozin’s Comet. During the entirety of Katara’s pregnancy with Emi, the Fire Lord assumed his kids would never meet their aunt. Thankfully, his sister had recovered enough to be discharged when Katara was five-months-pregnant.
It was a long process, but Azula’s weekly therapies and regular medication really helped stabilize her mind, they eventually got to a place where Zuko was more comfortable gradually letting her back into his life. Soon enough, when Emi was three-months-old, Zuko finally introduced his new bundle of sunshine to her aunt. Since then, Azula has accepted the title of “cool aunt” and was quite good at it. She loved her niece and prayed to Agni above that she never lost that light of innocence in her eyes.
Despite having been reunited with his own mother, finding her alive with a new husband and 10-year-old daughter, Zuko hesitated on introducing her to Emi until she was around a year old. Even so, Ursa barely had a relationship with Emi, too focused on her new life and her youngest daughter Kiyi. It was that, along with other things, that led Zuko to decide to go low contact with his mom. He refused to let his daughter go through what he did and would not trust anyone with her if they were not going to be a reliable presence.
Then, there was Ozai. Zuko had been adamant from the moment he and Katara started discussing the possibility of having children that his father would not have anything to do with his kids. This was one thing that the Fire Lady had no problem with, knowing just how evil Ozai was and would always be. So, Emi grew up for the most part believing Iroh was her paternal grandfather, calling him “Papa Iroh”.
As Emi grew older and started getting more curious about the world around her, Zuko’s protective levels started going into hyperdrive. This wasn’t helped by the fact that, since having her, he and Katara had expanded their family by two, with his wife giving birth to their second daughter Kya (named after Katara’s late mother) when Emi was two, followed by their third child and first-born son Kallik just a few years later. How was he supposed to keep his eye on a rambunctious little girl, a toddler, and a newborn while simultaneously keeping up with all his duties as Fire Lord?
Unlike the Fire Lords of the past, Zuko made it clear that he and Katara would not rely on an arsenal of nannies and servants to raise their children. This meant the royal couple did the majority of the childrearing themselves. While they did have Iroh, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee living at the palace to help on occasions where both he and Katara were super busy, it wasn’t like any of them could be at multiple places at once.
Plus, Emi was starting to get really good at sneaking away undetected for long periods of time. While she thankfully never went beyond the palace grounds, it was still a frightening experience as Zuko would be frantically searching every corner of the palace and beyond for his missing daughter, only to find her hiding in some small corner of the palace library with a smile on her face, eating a freshly-stolen box of cookies from the kitchen.
While it usually wasn’t any more than that, this habit of exploring places throughout the palace that she wasn’t allowed to be in often led to some close calls. Catching her before she got too close for comfort.
Unfortunately, on one fateful day, it happened.
Emi, now six-years-old, wanted to play with mommy and daddy, but unfortunately, they were too busy. At the moment, Katara was feeding the five-month-old Kallik and Zuko was stuck in a meeting with his council, leaving Aunt Azula to at least try to keep an eye on both her and four-year-old Kya.
After several hours, Azula thought she finally got the two young princesses down for their nap. But, the minute she left the room to fetch the girls some snacks and juice, Emi woke up and escaped her Aunt’s suite to once again start exploring the unchartered places of the large Fire Nation palace.
After a while, she found herself downstairs, below the grounds of her home, down in a place she had never seen before. It was mostly dark, except for the flickering of fire light from the torch flames that lines the walls. Emi knew she should go back upstairs before someone realized she was missing, but her naivety and strong sense of curiosity got the better of her. She kept slowly walking through the narrow hall, her big golden eyes looking all around her with such wonder.
Suddenly, the little princess stumbled upon a dark cave marked off by chains and a sign that read “High Risk Prisoner, Under Strict Lockdown, No One is Permitted to go Beyond this point without the presence of authorized staff”. While most people would read that and immediately turn back, Emi didn’t really know how to read anything beyond the level of her picture books and fairy tales.
She was completely oblivious to the darkness a person could possess. She grew up believing everyone and everything was all happy and bright. That even those that were bad at first would eventually become good with just the right help and encouragement. That just a bit of kindness and forgiveness would enough for people to change. She had no idea just what she would find when she got her little body past the chains to see what was on the other side of the cave.
Emi walked slowly down the path. As she approached the end, she saw an old man behind a wall of clear metal. Who is this man?, she thought. His hair was light grey, long and disheveled. His eyes were locked to the floor, devoid of any emotion. Sitting with his back against the wall, his body crouched over like an old hermit just passing the little time he had before death finally took him. Emi kept her distance from him, but her curiosity kept her from running in the other direction.
Suddenly, the man slowly turns his head, looking right at the young princess. Emi cautiously takes a few steps forward as the man’s eyes widen. “Azula?,” the man finally speaks. The child doesn’t answer. Instead, she cocks her brow, confused as to why the man just called her by her Aunt’s name.
Emi did resemble her father a lot. She had his ember-colored eyes and midnight black hair. But, her skin tone was only one shade lighter than her mother’s natural mocha shade. Her father, in comparison, had a light ivory skin tone, just like Aunt Azula. So, Emi didn’t know how this man she had never met before could confuse her with Azula or how he knew of her aunt in the first place.
The man speaks again, louder this time, “Azula! I’m so glad you came to visit. Have you heard what your brother has been doing?”. The man knew her father. Curiosity getting the best of her, Emi decides to play along and not reveal herself to the man. “No. What?,” she asks the man. He scowls as he begins ranting, “Your good-for-nothing brother has decided to completely destroy our bloodline. Not only did he marry that retched waterbender from the south pole, but now he has gotten her pregnant. Can you believe it? The heir to the throne, without the pure ivory skin of Fire Nation royalty. It is simply an abomination!”.
Emi didn’t know what to say to all that. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Clearly he was talking about her parents, and the “abomination” he was referring to could only be her. She had never in her life heard anything like this. “Wh-why is it an abomination? I mean, how would it reflect on him as a leader?,” she inquires, hoping to find out more.
The man cackles madly, “My child, Agni above has blessed our nation to be superior to all others. The Fire Nation is the greatest nation in the world and our bloodline is the purest in the land. Your brother tainting it with some tribal whore just proves that he doesn’t care about his country.”
Emi’s heart drops hearing those words. Did he just say Aunt Azula was his child? Is this man Dad and Aunt Azula’s dad?, her mind races. But, that’s impossible. Papa Iroh is dad’s dad. He’s my grandfather. Surely, daddy would never lie to me about something like that.
“I swear, the spirits are going to burn this nation to the ground and damn us all to the pits of hell for this disrespect to Agni
 Either way, thar bastard child of his will always be half-water tribe. By that alone, our family tree will be tainted with impure blood. Agni help us all that child becomes fire lord. But, I suppose you already know that, Azula.”
Emi takes one step back, growing scared of this man. He continues to rant as the child slowly walks backwards, every word he says seeping into her brain and being internalized by the young, innocent soul.
“Don’t worry, soon enough you, my golden child, will take back the throne from your traitor of a brother and his snow-eating whore of a bride. I know you, Princess Azula. My little prodigy. You were born lucky, truly gifted in your abilities as a firebender. And once you finish the job from that Agni Kai, all other nations will fall and you and I will rule as supreme leaders of the world!”
The prisoner starts laughing like a mad man and that’s when Emi couldn’t bear to hear another word. She turns around and runs out of there as fast as she could. Thankfully, the man was so wrapped up in his own laughter and delusions that he didn’t notice. His deep, evil laughter echoing off the walls as she ran back through the narrow dirt pathway.
The princess felt an ache in her stomach as she began to run up the stairs. She felt the tears picking at the corner of her eyes, threatening to fall. She held it all in as she made it up to the top of the stairs and rushed over to the family wing of the palace. Even as servants called her name as she quickly passed, she didn’t answer. Finally, she made it back to her room, going in and slamming the door shut.
She takes a few deep breathes before her lips begins to quiver and her eyes water. Emi runs over to her bed and leaps forward, landing face-down onto the mattress. The now-terrified princess buries her face in her pillow as she begins to cry.
The Fire Nation’s innocent ray of sunshine had just seen the secret darkness of the world. And things would inevitably never be the same again.
Hope you guys liked this. If you want me to continue this and write a part 2, please let me know.
A letter from Maximilian Worthington to Frederick Worthington:
July 8th, 1817
Often, I am haunted by the fear of judgment for expressing my emotions so freely, save for you alone am I truly able to confide in. Today was extremely hard for me because it would’ve been Mama’s fiftieth birthday. I remember her death so clearly in the back of my mind, just as if it were yesterday. I returned from my daily ride, shortly before the usual dinner. I picked Mama a handful of daisies hoping to lift her spirit as she had been so melancholy with the loss of my dear sister the year prior. I hastily walked up to her chamber, knocked, and received no answer. Knocking once more and still hearing nothing, I entered the room, only to find her lifeless body limp and sprawled across the bed. I screamed for Father, who rushed from his study, and upon seeing his dear wife, collapsed and was immediately consumed by tears. His scream was heard all over Ivyhurst, as Isabella came immediately from the drawing room. We were all overtaken by grief, and sprawled on the floor in our despair. Miss Hurst, Bell’s governess, gently took the poor desolate girl away from the scene. I attempted to console my dear Father and it seemed my mind had gone blank. I don’t know how long I sat there with him weeping into my arms, perhaps it was an hour or two because when I looked out the window the sky was pitch black. Papa refused for anyone to come near her body, and told Reverend Smith to be damned to the depths of hell. When the funeral furnisher and undertaker finally arrived, he could not part with the corpse of his beloved Phia and therefore attacked both men who tried to get her. Because of this, he was given one last night alone with her, and he didn’t sleep. He held her in his arms and wept into her bosom the whole night, begging God to do the irreversible and take him instead. He said it wasn’t right that a man's sweet little daughter and now his beloved wife must go before him. I sat with Bell the whole night who cried herself to sleep in my arms. I didn’t sleep and had no more tears to cry, so I just sat there with my right leg joining my heart in numbness. At the crack of dawn, Father called us to embrace Mama’s lips and say a last farewell. I knew this kiss would be the last I should ever bestow upon on the woman who held all my affection. In the evening, she lay in the chapel with all the servants and the few people she held dearest to her heart around her coffin. The only person missing was you, as Papa blamed the entirety of your household for her demise, thus you were forbidden from coming. The daisies I picked for her were placed into her hands, and that was my final gift to my mother. She was taken to Thornfield before nightfall, to be reunited with the vessel of her daughter just as her spirit had been. Papa refused to watch her be put into a grave as he said he would jump into it with her, and Bell and I knew our hearts couldn’t handle that same sighting we saw less than a year ago with the death of our Elle. I watched the hearse head for the gates, and before it left, I kept telling myself that it was a nightmare. I hoped it would return with haste and bring back my nurturer, my savior, my most cherished Mama-but it never did.
National Anthem
retired!Agent Whiskey x latina!Reader
Tumblr media
"Red, white and blue is in the sky.
Summer's in the air, baby, heaven's in your eyes."
Summary: it's the fourth of July and Jack is enjoying the holiday with reader and their fraternal twins at his ranch house.
Warnings: fluff, mentions of smut towards the end (18+, minors dni), age gap (reader is 30, Jack is 48), no use of Y/N, y'all just prepare yourselves for papi Daniels.
Word count: 2.7k
“Jack! Jimmy! The hot dogs are ready!” You called out while carrying the large plastic Tupperware full of freshly grilled hot dog links to the picnic table.
Just a couple of steps behind you was your daughter Rosé counting her steps as she skipped cheerfully to the table with the plate of warm hot dog buns in her tiny, yet firm, grasp.
Meanwhile on the other side of the ranch, Jack stayed knelt next to his young spawn and continued working on the mechanics to the pyro machine. “Jimbo, how ‘bout you go make us a couple of hot dogs while I finish setting up the fireworks?” Jack smiled lovingly at his son.
“Okay papa! Can we watch them on the trampoline like last year?”
“O’course son. Now go on and tell your momma and sister I’ll be there in a sec.”
Once Jimmy sprinted in your direction off in the distance, Jack took a moment to watch his family join together with smiles on their faces and love in their eyes.
Never in a million years did he think he would be given a second shot at having a family. After losing his sweetheart and their unborn son a few years prior to meeting you, Jack was sure that was it for him. Despite being involved in random one-night stands for a mission or to just fill a lonely night, life just wasn’t worth living without her. Jack would often find himself wishing the next mission would be his last just so he could be reunited with his family again, until you came along.
---
Both Jack and Agent Tequila were on their next mission of tracking down another famous musician at a rock concert. The two separated into the crowd and Jack bumped into you by accident, spilling your beer all over your new outfit.
“¡Ay quĂ© chingas! Thanks a lot, bud.” You groaned and furiously wiped what was left of the beer off your blouse.
“My apologies, sugar. Didn’t see you there.” Jack pulled out a napkin from a hidden pocket inside his leather jacket and handed it to you.
You reached to snatch the napkin from his hand but the sudden little static shock you felt when your skin touched his own made you finally look at his face. Your anger immediately melted away only to be replaced with sudden nervousness and a smile that couldn’t disappear no matter how hard you tried.
“No, i-it’s fine. Accidents happen, right?” You giggled.
“Right.” Jack chuckled nervously. ‘My god, she’s beautiful.’ He thought to himself.
In that moment it seemed time itself had frozen because neither you nor Jack felt the strength to move. Your hands were still connected with only the napkin in between. The rest of the arena that was still filled with people fell silent. Even Agent Tequila practically screaming in Jack’s hidden earpiece couldn’t break his trance from you. The friends you arrived at the concert with had disappeared to their seats the moment Jack bumped into you, knowing damn well he was exactly your type.
“My name’s Jack.” He finally cleared his throat, bringing you both back to reality. “Can I buy you a drink, sugar?”
---
Five years, one marriage and a set of fraternal twins later, Jack had a life worth living for again.
“Como la flooooorr. Con tanto amoooooorrr. Me diste tĂșĂșĂșĂșĂșĂș. Se marchitóóóóó. Me marcho hoy. Yo sĂ© perdeeeerrrr;” You and RosĂ© sang along to the music dramatically as she stood on top of the picnic table to give her best Selena impression. Once the music started and Jimmy joined in on the fun, you put RosĂ© back down safely on the soft grass before the three of you began dancing Selena’s dance moves.
Jack couldn’t hold back a smile if his life depended on it. He cherished these family moments more than anything in the world. To think he would’ve missed out on this if he had chosen not to retire the moment you found out you were pregnant with the twins four years ago. There’s no telling where he would be right now, but he was certain every day that you, Jimmy and RosĂ© saved his life.
Once he had set up the last firework, Jack leaped to his feet and turned to anxiously meet his small family on the other side of the ranch. Jimmy was already sitting down and stuffing his face with a hamburger while you and RosĂ© were too occupied dancing to the music until her eyes met Jack coming from a distance. “¡Papi!”
You watched with a smile as she ran as fast as possible into Jack’s embrace, leaping into his arms before he picked her up and spun her around. “Hey there princess! Looks like you and your momma were havin’ fun.”
RosĂ© quickly nodded. “Uh-huh. Are we gonna watch the fireworks now?”
The sun had set enough to where the sky turned a bright shade of orange-ish pink, still too bright for a firework display.
“Not yet, moonshine, we gotta wait for the sky to get just a lil' bit darker. Maybe once we’re done eatin’.”
“Okay papi.”
Jack kissed her temple making an audible smooching sound and she giggled in his arms as his mustache tickled her skin.
“Mami, I’m thirsty.” Jimmy mumbled with a mouth full of his hamburger. Mustard and ketchup smeared on either side of his mouth.
You chuckled and reached deep in the bottom of the cooler to get him a bottle of root beer. Just like his daddy with an actual beer, Jimmy refused to drink his root beer if it wasn’t ice cold.
“Here you go, mijo.” You placed the bottle beside his plate and grabbed his napkin to wipe the condiments off his cheeks. “And remember don’t talk with your mouth full. It’s dangerous and bad manners.”
Jimmy nods while swallowing his food. “Yes ma’am. Gracias, mama.”
 “De nada, mi amor.” You smiled at your son and kissed his now clean cheek. Gently ruffling his dark hair and turning to meet Jack by the cooler once he sat RosĂ© down.
“No kiss for me, sugar?” He smiled at you.
“There’s always a kiss for you.”
Jack gently grabs your hand to pull you into his arms with your own snaking around his neck, closing the gap between you two as much as possible until your lips met in a tender kiss. You couldn’t help but giggle at the feel of his facial hair scratching at your skin, but even that couldn’t distract you from feeling his hands slowly slide down and grasp at your behind over your red sundress.
A slight gasp turned chuckle escaped your mouth at his grip only for Jack to instantly swallow the sound with a deeper kiss.
“Jack,” you teased in between kisses. “The kids are watching.”
Both you and Jack opened one eye and turned your heads slightly to see the twins looking at you two in disgust, turning to each other to point their fingers to their throats and make gaging noises.
“Ew! Dad’s touching mama’s butt!” Jimmy gagged.
You and Jack stood there laughing at the reaction of holding each other. “Son, one day when you’re older you’re gonna love someone like I love your momma and you’ll understand.” Jack said.
“What about me, papi? Will I understand when I grow up?” RosĂ© chimed in.
You raised your eyebrows and looked directly at Jack, trying so hard to hold back a laugh when you felt his hands slide to your upper back while shaking his head at his daughter’s question.
“No, moonshine, you won’t. Daddy’s not letting any boys touch you, ever.”
-
The twins had finished their dinner before you and Jack could even sit down to enjoy your first plate of freshly grilled food. Their anticipation to watch the firework display became so thin that Jack resorted to giving the twins each a sparkler to keep them entertained for the time being. Once you finished eating, you and Jack cuddled next to each other on the picnic table bench and watched both the children and the sunset while drinking a beer.
Tennessee Whiskey began playing on the speaker, making your heart melt at the memory of your wedding night. It was the song that played during your first dance with Jack as husband and wife.
“May I have this dance, sugar?” Jack stood up and held his hand out for you to take.
“Anytime, cowboy.”
Once your hand slid in his, Jack slowly raised it up to peck the back of your hand, keeping eye contact with you and making you blush. It amazed you how even after five years Jack still knew how to make you feel like a teenage girl in love. A mutual feeling for him as well. For a man pushing fifty-years-old, you made him feel young. Hell, in his mind you’re still young at pushing thirty-one. To this day he can’t seem to figure out exactly what you saw in him the night you met. A pretty young thing like you deserves to be with someone like his former partner, Agent Tequila, or someone closer to your age like Eggsy. No. Instead, you fell for him: the whiskey drinkin’, pussy eatin’, southern playboy spy Jack Daniels. God only knows what he did right in his life to deserve you, you’re far too good for him, but he thanks the man up above every day for his little family.
“You’re as smooth as Tennessee whiskey. You’re as sweet as strawberry wine. You’re as warm as a glass of brandy, and honey I stay stoned on your love all the time.” You and Jack sang along while swaying to the music and staring lovingly into each other’s eyes.
“Can you believe it’s been four years since we got married?” He asked.
“I know.” You turned your head to look at the children playing off in the distance. “Ay, how time flies.”
“And you’re still just as beautiful.” Jack smiled, never taking his eyes off you.
“Oh Jack.” You blushed and smiled back at him.
“Papi! Papi! It’s time for fireworks!” RosĂ© called as she and Jimmy ran as fast as their little feet would allow towards the trampoline.
Time really does fly fast when you’re having fun. The fireflies were already making their presence known off in the distance and the once orange-pink sky had turned a darker shade of blue.
“We’re coming, moonshine!” Jack intertwined his fingers with yours, picking your hand back up to connect with his lips once more.
As you two walked hand in hand to the trampoline, you rested your head on his shoulder and smiled while you watched Jimmy and RosĂ© jump and laugh amongst each other. At the same time, you were being careful not to smudge any makeup on Jack’s white button-up shirt.
Even in retirement Jack always wanted to look his best, mostly for you. He was almost never just a t-shirt and sweatpants kind of guy unless it was for bed. Before Jimmy and Rosé were born, Jack preferred to sleep naked or at least in boxer briefs, but that all changed a few months back when thunder scared the kids awake. Just as you and Jack were about to start making love, the kids had burst into your room and forced their way to sleep in between the two of you while you both desperately tried to keep yourselves covered and awkwardly stared at the ceiling all night. After that, you both agreed to start locking the door and not sleeping naked anymore on the nights you weren't 'busy'.
You chuckled out loud at the memory.
“What’s so funny sugar?”
“I was just remembering what happened on Valentine's Day. That’s all.”
Jack chuckled, needing no further details. “Crazy kids. Next time we’ll get your momma to babysit.”
-
“Mama, I wanna sit with you.” Jimmy said as he waited patiently for you to settle yourself on the trampoline.
“Okay mijo. C’mon.” You smiled and patted your lap.
He carefully made his way over to sit on top of your lap while Rosé jumped in the middle as Jack was trying to get comfortable.
“Careful moonshine. Daddy ain’t young anymore.” He chuckled before finally sitting upright.
“Sorry papi.” She giggled before landing her last jump with her whole body and rolling next to her father. He didn’t hesitate to let her sit on his lap and placed the large remote down in front of them.
The four of you took turns pressing the buttons for each firework until the kids became too distracted and watched while Jack took over the controls with one hand. The other snuck up behind you and gently caressed your back and exposed shoulders.
“¡Mami, mira los fireworks!” Jimmy smiled and pointed up at the display.
“Sí mijo. They’re beautiful, right?”
“Just like you, mami.” Jimmy looked up at you and smiled.
You looked down at him and gasped as your heart melted. Smiling and hugging him tighter while you placed multiple kisses to his temple. He giggled and squirmed in your arms. “Eres el hijo de tu padre.”
You both looked at Jack with big smiles. He winked and returned the smile to his son. “Attaboy, Jimmy.”
-
The rest of the display was spent staring up in awe and comfortable silence. It didn’t take much longer before the fun finally caught up with the twins as they yawned and rubbed their eyes to stay awake for a little longer, but it seemed like the more they tried to fight it, the sooner they fell asleep.
Once the display was completely over, Jack carefully slid off the trampoline and helped you down from the other side. He handed you Rosé gently before picking up Jimmy in his arms and letting you lead the way back into the ranch house. You both changed the kids into their pajamas before tucking them into bed, giving them one last peck on the forehead and turning on their nightlight.
“¿Papi?” RosĂ© mumbled, her eyes trying to open as she looked for Jack.
“Yes moonshine?” He smiled at her.
“Can we go horseback riding tomorrow?”
Jack chuckled and sat down next to his daughter, gently rubbing the top of her head. “We’ll see, moonshine. Okay? For now, just get some sleep.”
Rosé smiled and nodded in his direction. Jack kissed her once more on her forehead as she yawned with her eyes fluttering closed.
“G’night, baby girl.”
“Night papi.” She mumbled before finally drifting into a deep sleep.
-
You were brushing your long dark hair over one shoulder in the master bathroom when you felt Jack snake his arms around your waist and attack your neck and exposed shoulder with light nibbles and kisses.
“Are the kids asleep?” You chuckled as you fell back into his embrace, tilting your head to the side to expose more of your neck.
“They sure are, and I already locked the door.” He whispered seductively in your ear.
“Well, what should we do now, cowboy? I’m not the least bit tired.” You teased.
Jack growled and sunk his teeth into your shoulder causing you to moan. His hands claiming your body with one hand pushing down the top of your sundress to massage your bare breast while the other gently teased your clit over your clothes.
“Whaddya say we make another baby?”
You couldn’t hold back your smile at his suggestion. He didn’t know this yet, but you had been thinking about having another baby lately. The only reason you kept that to yourself is because you weren’t even sure he wanted more kids, so to hear him say this made you excited in more ways than one.
“You want another baby?”
“I do. Seeing you with the twins today got me thinkin’ about it.”
You grasped at his hair and pulled his head back far enough to where your lips connected with his in a passionate kiss.
“So whaddya say, sugar? Wanna ride into the sunrise on a real cowboy?”
“As long as I get to name the baby this time.” You teased.
Given Jack’s history, you thought it would be nice to give him the opportunity to name the twins. However, with his obvious sense of humor that you adored so much, you should’ve known he would pick alcoholic beverages to name them after.
You shrieked and giggled uncontrollably as Jack spun you around and picked you up, wrapping your legs around his waist and holding yourself up. Kissing each other passionately as he carried you to bed.
A/N:
I hope you guys enjoyed this! It's my first time writing for Agent Whiskey Jack Daniels. I was planning to have this out sooner but I literally got the inspiration while listening to Lana Del Rey and watching the firework display on the fourth lol. It's still July so it still counts.
A Star fallen upon Us
The coldness of Snezhnaya matched the Tsaritsa's cold, but soft heart that's covered with layer upon layer of ice. The falling snow was a common sight in this nation, bringing peace to those reuniting with their families after a long time of being apart.
Unfortunately, it didn't bring peace to the certain Harbinger that he usually felt upon returning home. Not when he's holding a newborn in his rough, gloved hands that was stained in blood of countless people. When even was the last time, he even held a baby in his arms? Probably when Teucer was born, but that couldn't match the feeling of holding his own child in his very arms.
Childe looked all over the face of his daughter, that was snuggled up against his chest for more warmth. He can't help, but feel guilty for bringing her into this world when the time isn't right. Guilty for her, having a father like him. He's not made to be a father, not with the way he lives, the danger he brings with him wherever he goes.
He abandoned the thought of settling down long time ago, he's a warrior in his heart, body and soul, his place is meant to be on battlefield. He's a Weapon of War for the Majesty The Tsaritsa in the upcoming battle against Celestia. The day he returned from the endless, mysterious Abyss, he didn't bring Ajax with him, he abandoned him and his innocence to become a bloodthirsty monster.
The longer he stared at his little one, the more simlilarities he saw between both of him and Lumine. His messy, ginger hair, Lumine's beautiful golden eyes that he adores, soft cheeks, adorable expression on her face. She was a perfect mix of both of them, an embodiment of their love and longing for one another. And Childe swears to defend this precious gift that Lumine has given him, from every kind of danger to the end.
Despite still having mixed feelings about him being a father and taking care of a child, he devoted himself to his baby the moment he saw her. It's seems that she already had him wrapped around her finger from the start, just like her dear mama. At the thought of that he snickered, trying to prevent the grin appearing on his face.
He couldn't believe that he could create something so innocent, holding it in his stained in blood hands. She didn't deserve having a bloodthirsty father like him. He even can't stop thinking about the consequences of her birth, what will Tsaritsa feel about this?
Her Eleventh Fatui Harbinger becoming a father when they're on the verge of a war, where she would need him the most? Especially that he shares his child with The Traveler that's surely is not a friend to their organisation, isn't this some kind of... betray to the Fatui? Having a child with someone, he will in the end stood against in their final battle, someone that sabotaged their plans and stood in their way?
Not to mention the mocking words of the other Fatui Harbingers that will appear upon learning he has a child with the golden-haired Traveler, saying that Lumine has domesticated him. From a warrior that's name is feared on the battlefield, to papa holding a bottle of milk instead of a weapon in his rough, gloved hands that spilled the blood of many.
His lifeless, blue eyes darkened at the thought of them hurting his baby. He won't let any of them lay their dirty fingers on her, or let them think that they can hurt her, without their blood being spilled out on the snow. Even if the little one was not expected any time soon, she's still his little girl that he would gave his life for.
Before he could think of many ways to murder all of them, he heard the tired, but familiar voice behind him calling his name, at the sound of it he immediately was brought back from his murderous thoughts. "...Childe? It's late..." The tired voice exclaimed, while letting out a long yawn. There she is. Lumine, standing in the doorframe in all her glory.
He looked all over her. The messy golden hair from sleep, weary expression on her face, sleepy eyes, oh Mighty the Tsaritsa, it is quite a sight to see. In his eyes, she still had the same glow that she had when carrying, despite her being exhausted now. Childe really should stop staring at her like that if he doesn't want to make holes in her body.
"Go back to bed, printsessa. I will keep watch over her." Harbinger reassured her with a small grin on his face at the sight of her pouty face. Lumine scoffed at his weak reassurance that didn't work on her anymore. "You keep watch over two weeks now, you should rest too." She said while walking from the doorframe towards him.
Before Childe could shrug her concerns again, she quickly took their daughter away from his hands, while giving him a glare that says, to not argue with her. He didn't expect that Lumine would just take away their baby like that from him. She's always full of surprises, isn't she? That's one of many parts of her that he love.
She always keeps him on his toes, and not just in battle, making his heart beat in more ways than just for bloodlust. "...Don't be like that, Lumi. You need much more rest than me, you just gave birth not so long ago." Childe retorted back with a serious look on his face.
If Lumine wants him to agree to that then she better have a good reason for it. There's no way that he will let her stay late when she's recovering. The fact that she's as stubborn as him doesn't make it easy for both of them. "Don't treat me like I'm made of glass, Childe and don't 'Lumi' me. I'm really glad that you took care of her when I couldn't, but..."
Lumine sighed at the end of her statement, mindlessly caressing their child's cheek. He really is getting on her nerves lately, treating her like a vase that could fall any time from the table. It's not an easy task for both of them to make peace with being parents, but she doesn't want him to go through it alone. She just wants to get through it, with him by her side.
"...I don't want you to lose your sleep because of that, I want us both to go through it, through the long nights of cries and screams. You shouldn't be doing this on your own, and besides..." Lumine stated with a long sigh, staring right into his eyes with determination to prove that she's right.
"...I want you to warm up the bed for me." The golden-haired Traveler added while carrying their baby to her crib. The crib that her papa build with his own hands for her. Harbinger let out sigh of his own at her stubborness, this woman really will be the dead of him. "That's all I am to you? A heater? You hurt me, pryntsesa."
He exclaimed with a pout on his face, placing his hand on his chest, feigning how much her words hurt him. Lumine couldn't care less about his antics when something so tiny demands her attention. Before giving their daughter a goodnight kiss on her forehead, she made sure that baby was covered with sheets.
She still couldn't believe that she became a mother, much less that she gave birth to something this tiny and innocent. Lumine actually never thought of becoming one, especially not with the way she lives. It is in her spirit to travel, to experience adventures with Aether by her side, it all made her not want to settle down.
Even though she has seen her fair share of women being with a child through her travels, it still was a lot to take in when she learned about her own pregnancy. Though, she and Childe both tried to be careful as neither of them wanted a child, but it seems that fate had other plans for them.
Yet, knowing that he too, is still struggling to make peace with parenthood, makes Lumine feel more at ease that she isn't going through it alone. That both of them will go through it together. The familiar feeling of scarred arms wrapped around her, shook her thoughts to the back of her head.
Tartaglia held her like she was about to disappear at any moment into the thin air. It made Lumine's lips turn upwards at the feeling of having him close, having knowledge that he's safe and not bleeding out on the cold snow. "She's... really something." He whispered, looking all over their child in the crib. He wanted to make sure that she's safe and sound, that nothing will bring her harm.
The blonde-haired Traveler let out a quiet snicker at that, their daughter's only a few days old and she already captured her papa's soft heart. Even if Childe doesn't know about it yet. After a while of silence, he withdraw from Lumine with a sigh. His face took a serious turn as he still was contemplanting her reasons.
"...Alright, I trust you that you're feeling fine by now. We both will be taking turns, but rest should still be first on your mind. Are you agreeing to that, malenÊčkyy oslyk?" He exclaimed defenseless, defeated by her begging and pouty face that his heart couldn't take.
For Lumine though, it was a victory that made her smug smile appear on her face. The same smile that appears everytime she fought her way through something. "I'm glad that you trust me with this, Ajax. It really means a lot to me." She responded, shooting his way her soft gaze that always works his heart the right way.
Childe watched as Lumine returned to their bed, waiting for him to join her aswell. He shoot the last look on their child, trying not to show how he's still uncertain to the feelings he has for her. He doesn't want Lumine to worry about him, knowing well that she herself struggles with it aswell. She needs rest and peace, and he needed to give her that.
malenÊčkyy oslyk?- little donkey
Jace and Rheanyra meeting his twins children for the first time, Aegon watches it all.
Aegon watches like a hawk as his wife reunites with her family and introduces the twins who cling to her.
"Hello." His daughters voice is small as she clings to her mother's skirts.
His son doesn't say anything from his wife's arms as she pets his hair gently.
"They're a little shy around new people." You had remarked, smiling softly ar your mother and twin brother.
Aegon came up behind you, his hand on your back. "It's lunch time, lovely." He took his time to kiss you, reveling in how your cheeks reddened, as well as how his sister and nephew glared at him furiously.
"Papa!" Both twins proclaims, scrambling for his attention.
You were his, nothing could change that.
Fire and Salt chp 3
🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕
YN just wants her family together for her nameday. She was sure if everyone had reunited then the foreboding feeling in her stomach would end.
🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕
Masterlist
YN skipped around the castle trying to find her father. She knew he would and could never deny her, so with hope she planned her request for her nameday. Her quest for her father left her unaware of the stares from the people who watched her run. YN’s efforts were rewarded when she saw the familiar head of her father.
“Papa!” YN hugged him from behind, causing Laenor to smile slightly and turn to pat her head.
“YN. Are you alright darling?” He sounded slightly sad to the girl.
“I think I know what I really want for my nameday.” YN said, holding his hand as they walked to his rooms.
“Oh? And what is that my darling girl?”
“I want Rhaena and Baela to come here to Westeros. I want to spend the day with them.” Her request made her father pause and kneel down to her height.
“YN. It’s not so easy to just bring them here. There’s a reason that they are in Pentos and don’t stay in Westeros.” Laenor sighed, trying to reason with his daughter.
“But that's all I want. Please papa. Please talk to the king and ask him to allow them to come for only a fortnight.” YN pleaded. “I just want to play with my cousins and see them face to face again. I want to show them around dragonstone, and maybe high tide.”
“Why don’t we both travel to Pentos instead? Like on your 7th name day hm? Wouldn’t you like to see the Essosi countries again?” Laenor tried to bargain with his daughter, but he was only met with a pout.
“Please papa, please find a way to bring them here.” Her eyes begged him.
The man sighed, kissing the top of her forehead and standing to his height. “I will see what can be done. But if it's not possible to bring them here, then will you consider the option of going to them?”
“I will, but I;m going to pray to any and every god I know of to make them come here.” YN relented and they continued onward.
Laenor hoped his daughter would wish to go to Pentos. Essos was closer to the StepStones, and closer to the war brewing. He hoped to fight again and though Rhaenyra commanded him to stay with her, if YN was to go to Pentos with him he may be able to answer the call to battle. And his daughter may see the seas at battle.
“When we arrive at Dragonstone, I will write the necessary papers and show them being sent off for you.” He said, sitting in the nearest chair.
“Papa. May I write Aemond when will live at Dragonstone? He doesn’t have many friends and he might get lonely without me here.” The girl asked, smiling when he nodded his head absentmindedly.
With that she ran out of the room to find her uncle and tell him her goodbyes. Once again, she found him in her favorite spot, the wall overlooking the water. His silver hair covering his sullen looking face as the sounds of the waves did nothing to soothe him.
“Aemond!” YN shouted and ran to his side.
“I hear you and your family are leaving for Dragonstone.” He pouted not looking at her. “It was the fight that caused it wasn’t it? If we hadn’t caused it, maybe you’d stay and I wouldn’t be losing my only friend here.”
“I don’t know if that’s what caused it. Maybe it’s a bunch of things that the adults don’t want to tell us.” YN tried to assure him, standing next to him to watch the waves. “But, my father said I am allowed to write to you. So we’ll exchange letters as much as we can, updating each other on our lives. You’ll tell me when you claim a dragon, won’t you? And I’ll tell you when I’ve either claimed a dragon or a ship.”
“When I’ve gotten my dragon YN, I'll fly to Dragonstone and present them myself.” Aemond promised, both locking pinkies to solidify their vows to each other.
With a tight hug, YN left the boy staring after her when she made her way to her mother’s room. As got closer, she had found Ser Harwin as he had finished preparing to leave for Harrenhall. She was not there when he said his goodbyes to her mother and brothers, believing they deserved a moment together. But now she didn;t want him to leave without her own farwell.
“Ser Harwin!” YN ran forward.
“Little princess?” The man asked, taken aback when she wrapped her arms around his frame in a tight hug. Her eyes pricked with tears.
“I’m going to miss you. I know you were closer with my brothers, but I will always see you as a friend and protector. I don;t want you to go.” the girl said, battling her own tears.
“We will meet again one day, princess. When you are strong and tall. You and your brothers are very dear to me, and I am sad I will not be there to see you become a fine woman.” He tried to calm her. The girl may not have been his child, but she was a kind person and he was just as close in his mind to her as he was to her brothers. “Now buck up. Be strong. You are strong.”
“If we never see each other again, I promise I’ll never forget you.” YN hiccuped. He gave her a final hug and pulled away.
“We’ll see each other one day, princess. When you’ve amassed a whole army of ships under your command.” He smiled and went to his horse.
It felt like a member of her family was dying or being exiled. The pain cut into YN’s heart and left an empty feeling in her stomach as tears ran down her light brown cheeks. Her plump lips tried to stop quivering as she went back to her mother’s rooms. She knew that if she had Rhaena and Baela and their mother here it would feel like her family was cracking. Soon they’d all be together and happy again. But the gnawing feeling in her stomach would not end. Not even as they made it to Dragonstone.
Eventually the feeling took hold of her emotions again as two ominous ravens delivered letters to her parents. Death seals on both. Her stomach ached at the news. She would not see Ser Harwin again. And her cousins were coming to Westeros, but they were bringing a corpse with them.
