Bare-bones/TL;DR: My name is Frog or Froggo, whichever you prefer, I use he/him pronouns and this is a blog dedicated primarily to my practice as a witch. I do tarot readings over on Ko-FI, as well as some on here that are donation-based (You tip if you want, but you don't have to.) Donation-based readings are temporary to promote the paid readings, and I'll be closing requests once I feel I have a decent amount of people interested (or if i find that it isn't working and I'm just instead giving free readings and no paid readings.) My craft:

I've been practicing off and on for about four years, but I've been around witchcraft my whole life. I no longer consider myself a beginner, but I wouldn't consider myself a beacon of knowledge either lol. I know enough to be comfortable practicing on my own, and giving others a few resources. If I ever post something with inaccurate information, something that appropriates any closed practices, or something that is otherwise not advisable, PLEASE let me know!

My interests in witchcraft include Tarot/oracle cards, deity work, crystals, and working with dragons. (Although, that last one is very new to me so I have very little experience to share so far.)

My work as a witch has begun to shape out as involving things that others fear and reject. I personally find this hilarious considering that I used to be so scared of everything.

I work with Persephone, Hades, Medusa, my familiar, Loki, Apollo, Aphrodite, and Khaos. They appeared to me in that order, with Aphrodite and Khaos being fairly recent additions as I'm typing this. (5/12/24) Note that this is a list of EVERYONE I work with at all, and some of them (like Medusa) only rarely show up in my life currently while others are more active.

I have a sideblog about my work with dragons, @officially-other, but it's so heavy on UPG, identity talk, feelings, etc. that I keep it separate from this blog. It's brand new as of editing but I plan on it being completely transparent.

Things to expect from me: An unreasonable amount of witchcraft memes, lots of fun little stories about my guides/deities and interactions with them, general stories about my craft. Much like his owner, Dusk is never in his expected place, running off as soon as he loses interest in any situation whatsoever. Martyn had never expected him to be anything different, their bond only strengthening each time they find their way back to each other again. Many a times has Dusk helped the young lord play pranks on others, and even though Martyn knows well that a direwolf is the farthest from a toy, they both seem to find amusement in their games together. He is loyal, intelligent, and though he might not be the strongest out of the other direwolves, he finds a way around any obstacle without any help needed.

Voice of an angel, can play the lute quite well.

They're not the best at close combat. That said, their fighting style focuses on agility rather than strength, with double short swords and daggers. Ever since the attacks in Highgarden, they'd been practicing a lot more. Their proficiency would be in archery.

Their body temperature is very cold, they gotta be warmed up by hugs i fear...

Speaking of, after the accident they were bedbound for a couple of weeks, and their direwolf Dusk, known for running away a lot, had instead stayed by his bedside the whole time, curling up around him and giving him some of his warmth.

They are terrified of open water and swimming. They always ask for their baths to be scorching hot, and they need help from staff to do something as minuscule as washing their hair. They don't talk about this, or the accident in the lake, but there definitely are rumors going around about it.

The only things that don't make them instantly petrified as soon as they touch water are the hot springs in the godswood of winterfell which, whenever he's home, he visits frequently.

Has been to the Wall before when his father threatened to send him to join the Night's Watch so that he'll learn how to behave properly. Has been beyond the Wall as well, but only for about an hour or so.

They have a sweet tooth. Always seen munching on cakes and tarts and whatnot.

As second son to the ruling lord of Winterfell, Martyn had been brought up just like any other member of the noble house of Stark, if not with less focus on duty and accomplishments. And what else was a lordling to do other than relish in the lack of responsibilities and enjoy their influence? They acted out, played tricks on staff, ran away, no amount of activities could calm their mind. One cold morning, at no more than ten years of age Martyn had snuck out, finding the crisp air after a snowstorm filling his lungs soothing, the silence grounding. Their memories of the next moments are still obscure after almost two decades, only filled in by their family and guards once they woke up in their bed. (hypothermia tw starts here:) They didn't realize they were standing in the middle of a frozen lake, covered by snow. They could still feel the sensation of their stomach dropping as the ground shattered beneath them. They'd never felt that cold before in their life. They're not sure they will ever feel the true warmth of their childhood again. (hypothermia tw ends here.)

Coming into their adult age, they had found solace in the arts, getting into trouble for having chalk or dry paint on their hands at dinners, and spending their days with their lute composing songs.

Much to their advisors' exasperation, it turned out that Martyn was far too good at charming guests, especially when they came to the North for diplomatic reasons and thus, the lordling had been tasked to attend every dinner to lighten the mood and soften whatever blow the ruling lord had prepared. It wasn't much of an assignment, however it had just enough responsibility for Martyn to not feel so left out of things, and to not feel the crushing weight of duty at the same time.

If they weren't playing on their lute in their free time or helping their father out, Martyn was traveling. They adored getting to see the North as they traveled across it, visit their father's vassals, their cousins in Karhold and White Harbor. But none had they visited longer than they had Bear Island. Martyn spent many summers on the island once he forged a close connection to Alaric Mormont.

The death of their father came suddenly and without any warning, and in the ascension of his brother Martyn helped as much as he could, trying to keep himself busy in order to not be left alone with his own thoughts as the mere idea of that made him feel like he would crumble from grief. He still hadn't processed his father's death yet, even after two years. He doesn't talk about him, only when he's drunk on wine enough to forget about the conversation the next day.

With the crown forcing to have them travel back and forth on a strenuous and dangerous journey south from Winterfell to King's Landing, then to Highgarden to play court, Martyn was always unsettled about, and after the attack that stormy night, after once again having to travel back home broken and distressed, he has had enough. Not soon after they arrived to Winterfell, Martyn set out on the road again, visiting Bear Island for a couple of months where he would train with his dear friend Alaric, having realized that he would have to be more proficient in combat if he believed the whispers about something brewing in the realm were true.

My path began in my childhood, where I struggled with the yolk of Christianity and its cruel, fear bated chokehold. I remember calling to the universe, begging to be taken away from the church and its perverse tactics of belief, not focusing on any singular god. Slowly, I came through my depression, led to freedom by an unseen force, laying a path out of the religious cage that bound me. However, it was easier said than done and even though I became a witch at 15, the PTSD from the lasting wounds inflicted by the church made my launch into paganism a difficult one.

Much of that fear still controlled me and I practiced under the label of a Christian witch for some time. Not out of a sincere belief, but rather out of the leftover fears and control the church had on me. Luckily, the spirits that led me, would not abandon me and slowly but surely would take my hands and guide me through the ridged terrain from which I found myself and slowly I would emerge from the filth of religious torment, blossoming into the creature of chaos I am today.

My practice mainly focus on the chaotic forces of the void and of worlds beyond our own. Hello! I have a DC OC I made and have been working on for a long while. I'd love for it to be commented on. In fact, if some people can make artwork for her and maybe even start a webcomic series with it I'd be so happy! But hey, either way- this is Lois Deus.

*(Lois Deus is a 15 - 16 year old girl with heterochromia, her left eye being Hazel and her right eye being Blue. She wears a pair of Warwick Circular Frame Glasses. Her skin is a dark brown with pale white patches (Due to vitiligo) While her hair is black with blonde streaks. (height is 5'4 - 5'6) Although she appears (And presents) as a female, she's actually gender fluid & Non-Binary. She is a Godling / Demigod.

Personality: Much to many people's surprise- She is a lot more competent than most. In a general description- She is polite, patient, demure, calm, quiet, intelligent, loyal, logical, moralistic and brave- although she has the tendency to be pessimistic or lazy. She is prone to panic attacks and has trust issues, resulting in a tendency to be suspicious and cautious of people and things. She rarely expresses her own emotions and has trouble understanding people's emotions and how they correspond with their actions. [mostly due to her Anti-social personality disorder/ASPD & upbringing she tends to keep to herself to cope with her trauma and problems. She has hyperactive tendencies that are definitely a product of Attention-deficit & hyperactivity disorder/ADHD]

...Alternatively, it's revealed she has an alternate personality. Referred to as "Deus". (Deus...translates into Latin meaning "God") It is a manifestation of her trauma, fears, insecurities and negative emotions.

Her secondary personality at first seems fearless, childish, witty, and quirky, which covers up the more psychotic aspects to it- being unstable insane, sadistic, calculating, vicious, violent, and extremely unpredictable. it seems to have it's limits to who is able to be subjected to her cruelty. Or what are most likely preferences. Deus has no qualms with killing others and using it's powers at it's leisure. Don't get in it's way. Noticeably, when Deus is active, Lois's eyes change into more...intimidating colors. [Her left eye goes from Hazel to Amber- While her right eye goes from Blue to Gray]

Facts: Lois has Claustrophobia (the irrational fear of confined spaces.) and Agoraphobia( fear of entering open or crowded places. likely to cause situations that might cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment.) She tends to crush on people easily, She is Demisexual (She does not experience sexual attraction until she has formed a close or deep emotional connection or bond with someone. It is sometimes defined as one who only experiences secondary sexual attraction.) & Panromantic (Her romantic attraction is influenced by other factors, such as presentation or personality. While she may have a preference for a certain gender identity, gender is not a factor in her attraction.)

She has a satchel [with a snake & apple pattern] that is a Subspace bag Lois carries everywhere she goes. Its capacity is unknown as it shares the same relative terms as the concept of Subspace, therefore it can be assumed it can carry quite a bit. Lois uses this shoulder-bag to hold her weapons [halberd and sniper-riffle] along with other miscellaneous objects [food, drinks, weapons, instruments and entertainment]

Lore: Her mother is Eris, the Greek Goddess of Strife and Discord. While her father is Loki the God of Mischief and Deception. Her parents weren't physically abusive, but were definitely cold and stifling (even hiring bounty hunters to bring her back at some point).

Tired of her life living as a prisoner to her parents, she attempts to escape. And as a punishment, she was disowned and sent to the mortal world. After being disowned and her immortality being altered (So that When killed, she will always return to life, therefore still immortal, but no longer invincible. She can be injured like anyone else...and feel pain. Being unable to die. Ever. Along with her ability to connect emotionally with others, [Intended to make her struggle with making strong relationships.]

Lois, now a young adult had no one left, nowhere to go. And with that, she chose to live a mortal life without recalling her Godhood. In that case she simply appears as a Teenager with no memory or past. Even though she acknowledges that she's a god-like being, she refuses to be called a god and never even refers to herself as a former one. [She doesn't even like to mention Mount Olympus or The Nine Worlds/Níu Heimar.]

Curses: As a result of falling from grace, The form of immortality that she was cursed with is called "Resurrective Immortality", wherein, even if she was to die, she will always return to life and look none the worse for wear. This is also considered a form of regeneration, although she can still be injured- the same as any mortal, however, death cannot hold her soul and her body will always reform. This form of immortality has its pros and cons; for someone like Lois who loves the thrill of battle, it means she will never truly fall and will always be able to fight more, or the fact she can get a higher adrenaline rush than a mortal, able to take any and every risk. However, due to never truly dying, she can be tortured indefinitely without the chance of ever dying, which is much worse. (Subverted, as she has an extreme pain-tolerance.)

Emotional Unavailability: Lois in general has a Distant, cold, or aloof demeanor- A difficulty talking about feelings and emotions. She has an Inability to understand and relate to others’ feelings, often getting Defensive when asked to change or let others in which often results in her shutting down or avoiding topics that require emotional openness. She impulsively withdraws from people or situations that provoke emotional reactions. She struggles with being vulnerable purposely avoiding intimacy and commitment.

Powers/Abilities: Shape-Shifting / Mimicry: She can change her shape, size, color, density, texture, cellular composition, and/or atomic composition to mimic qualities, impersonate entities, amplify abilities, and/or traverse environments. The origins of this power play a significant role in her capabilities and limitations; altering oneself on a cellular, atomic, and/or conceptual level will permit varying degrees of alteration; She is more than capable of employing near-indomitable deception into her strategies with her powers. Assuming the identity of distinguished or unsuspecting subjects allows for easier access to prohibited areas, superior persuasion, and potent espionage, depending upon the user's power and skill to imitate likenesses. Matter can exist in different states, generally through solid, liquid, gas, plasma, and other matter states. Because she can control matter, she can manipulate nearly "anything" in the universe. Lois can manipulate matter to transform and revamp the composition of an object from solid, to liquid, to gas, change its size from microscopic to building-sized, or disfigure and reassemble an object's matter into another form. Lois can create and destroy matter; something matter does not usually experience; On an astronomical scale, Lois can manipulate planets, to the universe, controlling everything that contains them, as she is technically a cosmic entity of great power

Equipment: Even though she can create any weapon she prefers to use a Halberd (A two-handed pole arm weapon consisting of an axe portion, a spike mounted to be used similar to a spear, and a blade to the side similar to a scythe.) and / or a high-caliber Sniper-Riffle (That resembles a cross between a sniper rifle and a crossbow. Her weapon allows her to shoot with pinpoint accuracy, up to 6 miles (or about 10 km) with a less-than an inch margin of error.)

When in her heroine attire, she wears a pair of goggles (instead of her glasses), which can be used as the following: glasses, sunglasses, camera, binoculars \ scope, with the ability to activate thermal vision, x ray vision, and night vision.

Frigg’s Handmaidens Pt 1/4

I decided I’ll be splitting up my interpretations for Frigg’s handmaiden up into 4 post(three designs per post) + some head-canons I have for each of the goddesses.

Brief mythology lesson: The 12 handmaidens of Frigg are minor Asynjur (goddesses) in Norse mythology. Sometimes there are only 11 but I’m including Saga in this series. There was some info so I based my headcanons and designs off the info I was able to find plus just some my own personal/universal fan headcanons as well. This post will contain my interpretations of Sjofn , Gefjon, and Lofn.

General headcanons :

-Sjofn,Gefjon,and Lofn are all sisters and daughters of Freyja(since they all goddesses of forms of love/relationships) and the sons of Ivaldi

-This makes all three of them actually Vanir

-That being said they are also the nieces of Sigyn and Idunn

-Sjofn is the eldest, Gefjon is the middle child, and Lofn is the youngest

-They also have two younger half sisters Hnoss and Gersemi

Sjofn (Godess of Romance, Affection and Love)

General info: Sjofn is like a Norse Cupid she pushes people to meet and fall in love. Eventually joining them in marriage. She one Frigga’s handmaidens in Gylfaginning and is described as being the one who “directs people’s mind to love both men and women”

Personal headcanons:

-Sjofn main color is dark blue since in some cases it can be associated with love

-I made her look the most like Freyja since thier both associated with Love

-I also headcanon Sjofn as asexual-panromantic since she more associated with the idea of Romantic relationships then sexual ones and probably would have no preference when it comes to a romantic relationship

-Sjofn has had a few romances but she doesn’t disclose much information about them to others

-Sjofn is deeply protective of those she cares about especially her sisters,family,and Frigg and Fulla

-She was the second handmaiden to find out about Frigg’s and Fulla relationship

Gefjon (Goddess of Unmarried Women)

General info: Gefjon or Gefjun is associated with being a virgin goddess and those who die virgins become her handmaidens. One common myth she is in is from both Gylfaginning and Heimskringla . The myth goes that she disguised herself as a wanderer and gifted King Gylfi some oxen which were actually her sons she had with a giant. Which ended plowing the land so deep it became the Lake Malaren (also known as Logrinn). In Heimskringla she is also said to have married one of Odin’s sons, Skjold. In Snorri, she is accused of being the one the slept with all the gods instead of Freyja. She popularized in both Denmark and Sweden.

Headcanons:

-My interpretation of Gefjon is based off a traditional groom and she wears many wedding rings on her fingers

-The rings being symbolic of the relationship she has with her handmaidens

-I headcanon her as Sapphic and Polyamorous since while she has had relationships with men she’s mainly attracted to women and is in a relationship with several of her handmaidens

-Gefjon visit her oxen sons sometimes and does care for them despite the fact she gave them away

-Gefjon is close friends with Loki and Skjold

-Gefjon doesn’t really get along with her mother or her sisters expect Lofn

Lofn(Goddess of Forrbidden Love)

General information: Lofn is the goddess of Forbidden Love. According to Snorri her kenning are “the comforter” and “loving”. Lofn is credited as the arranger of marriages even if they are forbidden. She often described as a gentler goddess.

Headcanons:

-Lofn looks the least like her mother and sisters

-She’s loosely based off a squirrel

-Her color palette is pink since she is a love associated goddess but her pupil is a broken heart due to her being the goddess of Forbidden Love

-Lofn powers allow her to detect forbidden love and she was the first to find out about Fulla and Frigg’s relationship.

-Lofn is more the quieter one of the goddesses and doesn’t speak much

-She comforts those whose relationships have failed or ended in tragedy

-I headcanon Lofn as being Bi-Demiromantic mainly after seeing so many relationships that are forbidden end in possible tragedy she not ready to rush into a relationship just yet till she become close with someone and feels as if she can form a relationship with them romantically

-Lofn is closest with her Aunt Idunn and her sister Sjofn

history.

Anything before Hell is a blur. Hell itself is a blur. There are absolutely no memories in Kiyan’s mind about who they were as a human. With no known beginning to their path of descent, Kiyan had always considered their real birth into existence to have been in Hell. Kiyan certainly had made a name for themself in the early couple of centuries of their existence, causing mischief wherever they went, manipulating humans into committing cardinal sins and crimes, then buying them a one-way ticket straight Downstairs. Their work had become quite the myth over the centuries, though in the past couple of decades they’d gone quiet, preferring a more relaxed lifestyle for the time being. At least, that’s what they tell others. 

The calamitous encounter with a certain witch a few decades from the current timeline had turned their life upside down. Kiyan had their own individual emotional growth over the years, various instances of a desire to be human, to experience mundane feelings. There were also times they had despised humans and their feelings, wanting nothing but to go back home to be around other supernatural beings. It is needless to say that they had their fair share of emotions coursing around in the veins of whomever they’d possessed at the time. They might’ve even been in love before. But no other connection came even close to what Kiyan had with this witch. Their love was a colossal fervor of affection and addiction. And alas, it ended in the most human-like feeling Kiyan had ever felt. Anguish. Their relationship had turned sour and toxic, miserably slowly. Kiyan wished death on the other over and over again, and ended up regretting it just as many times.

Getting rid of such weak sentiments inside of them was a difficult ordeal. They’d even considered returning to Hell. Torturing souls was usually a tedious job, especially for a demon of Kiyan’s age, but in that moment in time, it was exactly what they needed. As a result of their earlier achievements and the reputation they garnered among other demons allowed them to pick and choose how long they spent time in Hell, or on Earth. 

And now, Kiyan is residing in Portum, in a humble condo close to the center of the town. However, with a name so infamous, it is difficult to keep a low profile. Not to mention the instinctual urge to keep causing mischief whenever they go. Although, the latter could be remedied quite easily, as after opening the nightclub Envy brings enough diversity of creatures to have a bit of fun with.

Much like his owner, Dusk is never in his expected place, running off as soon as he loses interest in any situation whatsoever. Martyn had never expected him to be anything different, their bond only strengthening each time they find their way back to each other again. Many a times has Dusk helped the young lord play pranks on others, and even though Martyn knows well that a direwolf is the farthest from a toy, they both seem to find amusement in their games together. He is loyal, intelligent, and though he might not be the strongest out of the other direwolves, he finds a way around any obstacle without any help needed.

As second son to the ruling lord of Winterfell, Martyn had been brought up just like any other member of the noble house of Stark, if not with less focus on duty and accomplishments. And what else was a lordling to do other than relish in the lack of responsibilities and enjoy their complete influence? They acted out, played tricks on staff, ran away, no amount of activities could calm their mind. One cold morning, at no more than ten years of age Martyn had sneaked out, finding the crisp air after a snowstorm filling his lungs soothing, the silence grounding. Their memories of the next moments are still obscure after almost two decades, only filled in by their family and guards once they woke up in their bed. (TW starts here:) They didn't realize they were standing in the middle of a frozen lake, covered by snow. They could still feel the sensation of their stomach dropping as the ground shattered beneath them. They'd never felt that cold before in their life. They're not sure they will ever feel the true warmth of their childhood again. (TW ends here.)

Coming into their adult age, they had found solace in drawing and painting, getting into trouble for having chalk or dry paint on their hands at dinners, and disappearing for hours on end to spend time sketching the architecture of the castle, or the woods.

Much to their advisors' exasperation, it turned out that Martyn was far too good at charming guests, especially when they came to the North for diplomatic reasons and thus, the lordling had been tasked to attend every dinner to lighten the mood and soften whatever blow the ruling lord had prepared. It wasn't much of an assignment, however it had just enough responsibility for Martyn to not feel so left out of things, and to not feel the crushing weight of duty at the same time.

The death of their father came suddenly and without any warning, and in the ascension of his brother Martyn helped as much as he could, trying to keep himself busy in order to not be left alone with his own thoughts as the mere idea of that made him feel like he would crumble from grief. He still hadn't processed his father's death yet, even after a year. He doesn't talk about him, only when he's drunk on wine enough to forget about the conversation the next day.

They are known to seduce as many people into their bed as they can. They had been the reason for the departure of many a staff and guard, not because of a souring relationship, but mostly because they were found out.

Voice of an angel, can play the lute quite well.

They're not the best at close combat. That said, their fighting style focuses on agility rather than strength, with double short swords and daggers. Their proficiency would be in archery. Their talents in warfare lie more in strategy.

Their body temperature is very cold, they gotta be warmed up by hugs i fear...

Speaking of, after the accident they were bedbound for a couple of weeks, and their direwolf Dusk, known for running away a lot, has instead stayed by his bedside the whole time, curling up around him and giving him some of his warmth.

They are terrified of open water and swimming. They always ask for their baths to be scorching hot, and they need help from staff to do something as minuscule as washing their hair. They don't talk about this, or the accident in the lake, but there definitely are rumors going around about it.

The only things that don't make them instantly petrified as soon as they touch water are the hot springs in the godswood of winterfell which, whenever he's home, he visits frequently.

The idea of an independent north intrigues him very much. Above all, family is everything to him. And he does think that a free north would be best for his family. However he strives for a clean break from the south, with the least bit of bloodshed. Some might call him naive for the idea, but he thinks it might be possible, with the right compromise.

Has been to the Wall before when his father threatened to send him to join the Night's Watch so that he'll learn how to behave properly. Has been beyond the Wall as well, but only for about an hour or so.

They have a sweet tooth. Always seen munching on cakes and tarts and whatnot.

Preferred Pet Names: Loki appreciates a thoughtful term of endearment, usually if his partner leans towards a more common one or something unique, he'll embrace it willingly.

Opinion on True Love: Loki's not so certain about true love. He does believe in love and making connections with someone, but he doesn't exactly believe the whole 'predestined, fated to meet and fall in love' thing.

Opinion on Love at First Sight: Loki might feel attraction or interest at first sight, but I think it would take a lot more than just one look to convince him that some was the one.

How ‘Romantic’ Are They?: When he is committed to someone, that is when his more romantic side comes out. He will put more effort into doing things for his partner or go out of his way to surprise them or show his love for them. But, he still finds time for the more quiet and intimate moments together. Loki is less of a 'grand gestures' person and more of a 'consistently showing up' type of lover.

Ideal Physical Traits: There are many different traits that Loki finds attractive, but no qualitative mix of said traits will be the 'perfect person' for him.

Do They Have a Type?: Not particularly, but if we're going based off of who the mun ships him with, it's either another dark haired sass-master who can match his wit in equal measure or a blond goody two-shoes who's not really all that pristine once you get to know them.

Average Relationship Length: Given his longer than usual life span, Loki often tends to look for longer term relationships. He doesn't like to commit into a relationship unless he knows that there is some level of deep commitment.

Preferred Non-Sexual Intimacy: Spending quality time with his partner, whether that's sharing a glass of wine over a conversation about their day or being out and about together. As long as it's with them.
