People can say what they want about the initial Negaishipping, but my favorite part of episode 2 is how she is completely concerned about Ash's safety when they get Axew and Pikachu beyond impressed and grateful for saving her Pokemon (unlike Misty, who had to save him and Pikachu, who ran to Ash to get his bike back and didn't see Ash and Pikachu's boud at its peak, not that it's bad but it's different and the comparison between both will never make sense to me)

I love Iris and Ash so much (also, in real Scraggy egg, when Ash received it was my first episode, so I caught the 6th episode of BW first and the rerun of the 2nd episode before the 1st in 2012... I can't be more nostalgic than see Scraggy again with Iris and Axew in fact Scraggy's egg showed me Ash's maturity as a trainer seeing how he spoiled Larvitar, how he didn't know how to deal with Panpy, seeing him protect Scraggy and take care of him being a figure of trainer that protects the Pokémon, just right it was so comforting) my boy was literally growing emotionally in this thread BW proved that a lot especially with him training to the extent of Scraggy, I LOVE THE END IT LEAVES THAT TASTE OF FAMILY all characters...) sorry I rambled here

5 reasons I love Negaishipping

1. Iris and Ash’s dynamic

The main reason I like Negaishipping is that Ash and Iris are both playful, spirited and fiery, and you don’t have to change either of their characters to envision them together. They share a similar goal (Pokemon Master and Dragon master - respectively), they’re skilled battlers, both adore Pokemon, and they share a love for travelling and exploring. Whenever Cilan is busy (with cooking, for example), Ash and Iris are seen swinging on vines, playing around or battling.

One could argue Iris is harsh towards Ash, like calling him a kid. I’d like to clarify that her “kid” comment comes from Iris’ insecurity - as shown later in the BW anime. Iris had a bad experience when she went to school - unable to make friends. So when she met Ash, she was afraid to express herself fully. It’s only with Ash and Cilan’s friendship she was able to open herself up and bloom.

Now does trauma excuse picking on others? No! Which is why the narrative never paints Iris as being right in calling Ash a kid. Usually she is seen being just as excited as Ash is - or Ash/ Cilan calls her out on her childishness.

2. How supportive they are of each other

Ash knows he won’t  need a backup plan because he knows and trusts in Iris’ abilities to calm down Dragonite.

This has happened another time too - in BW episode 27. Ash is the only one to trust in Iris’ ability to read Dragon Type’s hearts, even when Cilan and the others brushed her off.

Iris has proved plenty of times that she can take care of herself - and even jumps after Ash when he is in danger. That still doesn’t stop Ash from throwing a protecting arm over her (❁´◡`❁)

Iris happily staying awake to help Ash take care of Scraggy (Axew is helping out, too!)

Helping out by playing with the Pokemon so Ash can help Oshawott train!

Roxie’s fanbase works hard, but Iris works harder

Cheering alone isn’t working, so Iris dresses up and puts on make-up - and drags Cilan along, too! All to ensure that Ash wins the battle!

3. Their cute date in Nimbasa City

I love everything about this episode

Ash rejected an opportunity to battle the subway masters just to go have fun with Iris

They watched a football game

Had a tennis match

Watched a musical

And had ice cream

They were about to head to to the ferris wheel as well, but had to help out a lost Axew. All in all, it’s nice to see them goof off and just have fun together.

4. Their reunion

I love everything about this episode. From how Pikachu was super excited to meet Iris from the get go - and even noticed her scent on the letter she sent to Ash!

5. Their Pokemon

Another bonus of Negai is that their pokemon are dynamic and share different kind of bonds together. I’d say Best Wishes’ strong suit is giving the characters engaging and lively personalities - and Ash and Iris’ pokemon are no different

Since I watch Pokemon mainy for the Pokemon, it’s nice that my OTP has pokemon that also mesh well together (even if they are rivals).

Nice to see that Iris consider Ash close enough to call their pokemon “brothers”

Same do Iris’ Dragonite and Ash’s Charizard

Phra Aphai Mani + Mrs. Chantawadee by Panpi Luang

"Prince Aphai Mani, the hero of an eponymously titled epic poem, "Phra Aphai Mani", was written by one of Thailand’s most beloved and respected poets, Sunthorn Phu. Phu was a royal poet during the early 19th century who wrote many works that remain popular because they speak about Thailand’s history. This particular poem, "Phra Aphai Mani", is today considered a national treasure.

The phantasmagorical plot follows Prince Aphai Mani as he flees from his father, the King of ancient Siam, who is angry about his dedication to magical flute playing at the expense of managing the kingdom. Unfortunately, the Prince flees right into the arms of an ogress disguised as a beautiful maiden, Nang Phisua Samut, who bears him a son, Sinsamut.

Once Aphai discovers Nang is an ogress, he takes his son and runs away, with Nang in hot, murderous pursuit. Aphai and his son are saved by a mermaid who takes them to Ko Kaew Phitsadan (‘Magic Crystal Island’), which is the former name of Ko Samet.

Inevitably, the Prince falls in love with the mermaid on this paradise island and she gives birth to a son named Sutsakhon. Cockatrice

By feeding a golden goose egg to a Toad and then breeding it, a cocktrice is produced. This mob can be Tamed by the player, it has less health than a horse but can glide short distances and takes no fall damage.

The cockatrice will attack mobs and players the rider attacks while the player rides it, being attacked by the cockatrice inflicts the victim with Anchoring, a new status effect that limits jump height and speed.

If the cockatrice is attacked by the player it will fight back

Kelpies

Kelpies Spawn along river banks

Kelpies will attack any player they see, inflicting them with a status effect called suffocation, which causes them to drown on land, forcing them to say in the water as they do not drown normally while under this effect, while on the water the kelpie is faster and has more hearts

If a player can saddle a kelpie without being seen by it, the kelpie will be Tamed

Kelpies can be used to ride across the surface of water, doing so is faster than a boat, but kelpies can hold no items and can only carry one person

Kelpies are as fast as Horse on land, but get a speed increase over water

Dragonflies

Dragonflies have an exaggerated size and come in the colours blue, green and purple.

Dragonflies drop Dragonfly Carapace when killed:

Dragon fly carapace can be used to graph the elytra to a chestplate, giving both the advantage of flight and and protection

(It can also graph the Unicorn horn onto a helmet)

Loch Lurkers

Loch Lurkers are the rarest mob, spawning in lakes very rarely.

Loch Lurkers act like underwater horses, are able to carry two people and hold inventory space like a Donkey or Mule.

Loch Lurkers cannot survive on land and must remain submerged at all times

Loch Lurkers come in the colours Black, Green, Blue, Grey and Lime

You're wrong, it's ponds.

Ponds, lakes, lava pools. They all suck in Minecraft, they end up just being big holes in the ground with nothing interesting about them that make the landscape ugly and hole ridden

Now you might say “Ivy, literally no one cares” and to that I say, wheesht and accept my ramblings ya donut

So, how do we fix Ponds? It's simply really: make ponds generated structures.

Ponds would now be generated structures taking up one chunk, with an actual human made design to make them, you know, look good. There would be, say, 100 or so different designs to stop them looking to samey (they'd be so small that something like that would be feasible)

Lakes would be done similarly, only with the key difference, they would be made up of 4 chunk “cells”, each making up a corner of the lake.

ponds and lakes in plains or forest biomes would be made of blocks like mud and dirt.

Ponds and lakes in deserts (or oases if you want) would be made up of grass and sand

Ponds and lakes in tundras would be frozen over on the top layer of the water and with clay spawning around the water

Now, let's see some things that can be found in ponds and lakes:

Frogs

Nothing new here, frogs and frogspawn are most common ponds, pond frogs also only come in the green frog varietie.

Perhaps the oasis can have a desert rain frog variant that gives a purple frog light

Toads

Toads and toad spawn can be found in lakes and ponds in forest and plains biomes. Toads emerge from toad spawn in the same way frogs do. Toads have an exaggerated size, being double the size of the frog

Toads come in several colours (Green, Brown, Yellow, Orange and Lime) but these colours do not harbour any game mechanics (in other words: sorry but there are no toadlights)

Toads will eat all mobs with wings, that being the Parrot, Chicken, Phantom, Bat, Bee and the player if they are wearing an elytra, so watch out.

All the aforementioned mobs are scared of Toads, making them and effective deterrent to phantoms in particular

Cattails, Reeds, Rice, Algae and Papyrus

I'll just do all the plant life stuff at once (these will generate dependent on the pond or lake cell)

Algae is a new decorative blocks that can be placed on water

It will connect to other blocks, creating an unbroken surface across the water

Algae has a bright green hue and can be found in both ponds and lakes with the same frequency

Papyrus is a new plant that spawns naturally in the oasis, it is used as a more efficient way of making paper as it can be bonemealed and only one papyrus is needed to make paper

Rice is a plant that grows in water in lakes and ponds spawning in cherry groves.

Rice can be used in two recipes:

Rice Bowls:Putting rice, a bowl and any meat together will craft a rice bowl

This food source that can be eaten twice, eating the meat and then the rice

Sushi: putting rice, dried kelp and one fish into a crafting table creates Sushi, a foodsoarch that can be eaten instantly without playing the eating animation, not very nutritious but good in a pinch

Cattails are a purely decorative plant found in ponds and swamps

Reeds are more common around rivers and lakes, being a fern like plant that grows two tall.

Reeds can be used to craft a new item: Pan Pipes

Combining 3 reeds and 3 string will create pan pipes, these can be played to draw passive mobs towards you so long as the button to play them is held down.

Pan Pipes can also calm neutral mobs like wolves, iron golems and bees, but doing this instantly focus the Pan pipes into cool down

Pan pipes have a cool down double that of the Goat Horn

Bagpipes

By putting Pan Pipes, 3 iron nuggets, 3 red wool and 3 green wool together you can make Bagpipes.

Bagpipes have durability on top of having the same level of cool down as Pan Pipes. Bagpipes cannot be enchanted.

Bagpipes have the ability to PERMANENTLY pacify all hostile mobs in the chunk the player is in.

Bagpipes will break after 10 or so uses

Willow and Palm

Willow and palm are new wood types, Willow spawns around lakes and ponds and Palm spawns around oases.

Willow has a dark Bluish-green colour, complementing mangrove, where as Palm is a desaturated pale white
