hey, i hope i'm not bothering you (i tried to send this as a regular tumblr message but it wouldn't work) but can i just "#in both the chorus and backstory episodes LOCUS IS CLEARLY IN CHARGE LOL" OH MY GOD THANK YOU i've been saying this forever!! up until about right before the reveal (imo) locus absolutely seems more in charge of the operation which is especially why the 'abuse' plot drives me NUTS. (also this is felixmcshouty, for the sake of keeping fandom shit to my fandom blog lmao)

DUDE NICE LOL, i’m glad that didn’t sound like Utter Tomfoolery when it hit your dash. i’ve been trying to figure out how to word my issue with that in a way that doesn’t just sound like “lol locus is Weak now fuck this”, because that’s offensive as shit and NOT the issue, it just…. literally does not follow that the dynamic would be set up that way and then boop, the orange mercenary was pulling the strings all along!!

tl;dr - you can pull the rug out from people, but show 👏 your 👏 work 👏

First impression: lmao oh god. So I liked him from the start, became completely sold on him after the “I am fucking awesome” line. I thought he was funny and cute (LMAO) and he fit that “snarky cynical asshole with a heart of gold” trope and that’s my jam. He was pretty much my favorite character since Tex had left the show

Impression now: BOY DID I FEEL LIKE A FOOL WHEN HE TURNED OUT TO BE A FAKE BITCH LMAO but it didn’t stop me liking him… if anything it only made me like him more cause you know I’m a slut for villains ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I do think he’s a well-written character, and I really liked how even after the Reveal, his personality doesn’t actually change that much? Like, he’s still an attention-seeking little shit and he still has the same sense of humor, but we also see a much Darker side of him. It’s scary because he’s still able to be genuinely charming so easily, but he can turn that off and become ruthless and vicious so quickly it’s just really cool tbh. Love Felix as a villain

Favorite moment: The entirety of the season 13 opener?? I LOVE that episode Felix and Locus are characterized so well in it and I love how you can understand so much about them just by their movements hh it;s so good. Also any scene where Felix uses a knife cause I uuh have a thing for knives gfdkjg

Idea for a story: I don’t know if I have a story idea for him so much as I have ideas for how his and Locus’ story should have ended, but we’ve talked about that a lot already

Unpopular opinion: I’m actually not sure what the popular opinions on Felix are? I guess if anything, I’m really not a fan of the whole “Felix was manipulating and controlling Locus the whooole time poor Locus” which we’ve also talked about lmao cause like. No sorry I don’t buy it. I don’t buy that Felix had that much control over Locus and more importantly Locus was 100% aware that he was taking part in genocide and he didn’t care. Felix never hid what they were doing from him, Locus knew exactly what was going on and shamelessly slaughtered millions so uum. Look I’m not trying to criticize people who empathize with and see themselves in Locus, but I’m just saying… let’s really look at what was going on here? Locus knew what he was doing and he knew why he was doing it, he and Felix were always entirely on the same page

Favorite relationship: The obvious answer here is Locus. Love me some shitty mercs whether platonic or romantic

Favorite headcanon: Don’t know if it’s a headcanon really, but I always liked the idea that rather than Felix’s biggest fear being Locus turning on him, his biggest fear is being completely alone. Because Felix thrives on attention. Without an audience, he can’t be Felix
