Have you seen the clip of the interaction between Sam, John, and Cait at the New York Comic Con photoshoot? It seemed like Sam didn’t like how John was behaving towards Cait and got a bit possessive.😉 Obviously all was well a few minutes later when they walked out on stage for the panel 😊, but it seemed like a purely instinctual reaction by Sam to get a little possessive of her for a second.

You seem to really have a knack for analyzing body language so that’s why I wanted to ask! Thanks for answering!

I am sorry for the delay. I am in the middle of a very busy week: while it is true I took the bulk of my leftover paid leave and I am currently at home, I also have some very important and urgent things to sort out, so it is what it is.

I think you can find some very decent explanations on some other blogs and I also think @the-sassynach did a fabulous job with her more than clear gifs (https://www.tumblr.com/the-sassynach/764677465702645760/lmfao?source=share).

Particularly this one, if you ask me:

You may think of any number of reasons why that photoshoot looked a bit 'off' (jealousy, possessiveness, uxoriousness, being drunk, being sassy, etc). The fact is that despite the 'look relaxed and spontaneous' brief, they managed to show us the exact opposite. They looked tense and fake, completely unlike what they were supposed to do. Why?

Because you can control many things in life, spare Paul Ekman's facial micro expressions. There are 7 of them: happiness, sadness, anger, disgust, contempt, fear, & surprise. And all of these are universal, which means you can't fool anyone on this planet, regardless of the culture the person hails from - they would get the schtick of it immediately. And they are impossible to control, because they express an emotional, immediate response to an outside stimulus, the person might even be completely unaware of.

The most interesting game would perhaps be to see how many of them can you see in @the-sassynach's gifs? Once you do this, boom: the story writes itself.

I think you, along with many, will find it very useful and perhaps enlightening. And while some might think it's bullshit, let them: reading body language is a core competence in business intelligence, for example. I know what I am saying, because let's say I am no stranger to it.

PaleyFest 2024

TWD DD: TBOC panel. Spoilers alert - non linear thoughts below.

First time at PaleyFest - small venue, I was in the third row. They were quite strict about no pics, but I snuck a few .

We saw the fourth episode of TBOC, and it was much better than I expected. Carol has some epic scenes and some funny dialogue, although I'm looking forward to a re-watch as I couldn't understand some of the non-native English speakers dialogue without my trusty subtitles.

The long-awaited reunion scene happened early in the episode to thunderous applause, Carol met Isabelle for a few seconds the end of all the nunsense, and Genet says au revoir, hoisted on her own petard.

Then a long schlep through the French countryside to meet the older couple seen in clips - you all are going to love this couple, especially the woman (sorry, bad with names!) who takes the time to give Carol a much-needed hug.

Caryl's dynamic was a bit off (and I think intentionally so) as they try to find their way back to their friendship. They'll get there. The parallels between Ezekial/Carol's and Isabelle/Daryl's relationship is very strongly drawn: Laurent is the French Henry that brought these 2 together - they're not soulmates. I know I'm forgetting stuff that stood out to me while I was watching, and I'll kick myself during tomorrow's re-watch.

The panel was fairly typical - everyone seemed in a good mood, nothing really major was revealed. Lots of talk about the reunion, the new type of walker, what it was like to film in France (and Norman really needs a new story rather than repeating for at least the third time about how the French film differently than they did back in Georgia). The host asked the audience if we were sad to see Isabelle die and I'll admit to saying "No" a bit loud.

Chad Colman was in the audience in the first row, and both Mel and Norman were excited to see him there and there were a few exchanges between them.

Mel didn't stick around for signing/photographs although she did stop to sign something and for a quick pic with the family in front of me as she left the theater. I was so glad for them as they had traveled from Germany and were heading to Atlanta to see the sets either today or tomorrow, so I'm sure it was a highlight for them. I saw her leave the building but she didn't stop there either. She looked great, though (and I really loved her boots!)

Paley Fest was Amazing! Also, in Honor of Rio confirmed as Nickys other parents AGAIN, here's a new chapter ;) Agatha Harknesss will always be a lesbian <3 If you really don't get it it's a magic strap or magic fingers.

This chapter is about Agatha talking Rio down from something important. :) enjoy. They're growing I'm so proud. The sext-its continue.

Highlights of paley: Debra Jo stole the show. My wife crutched in between the actors and i was behind her with my walker lol. Thank you to the people who cheered for my wife that was so funny and too sweet "Go crutches girl you got this!" I love you you made her night ha ha. Because we had to use the elevator we walked by Sasheer and girl is SO PRETTY UP CLOSE. We made eye contact then were like awkwardly pretending to not be distracted walking throughlol. Ali talking about mommy issues was great. Kathryn making a face understanding that. Sasheer being a BOSS and maybe a plant for dropping Nicky's parents. Jac confirming Nickys other mom is rio and Kathryn saying they DIDNT NEED DADS -- i swear i need this clip for all my socials it healed my daddy trauma lol. more at bottom.

COntinued. uh, Kathryn dressed in rio green and in Agnes hair! The weirdness of Dolby theater being in a mall and parking 5 levels underground and getting a migraine. Watching an episode on such a big screan with the dolby surround sound was nuts. Omg the queer and gay energy in that room and on stage was magic. THe room was so narrow but so tall! tried so hard to watch the people and not the big screen . took just a few photos that i'm posting on my socials. Pinkpillow19 on twitter, grainsofexcellence on tumblr, realkelpy IG, maybe some tiktok under realkelpy. If anyone finds a video of my wife crutching through please let me know i know she would die to see it lol. oh the grand starecase in the dolby theater was cool. i took a few photos of the theater itself im posting too. Its where the oscars are at every year so that was wild it didnt look like enough space. Loved that they brought up AUbrey multiple times and gave her props loved that Kathryn was so giving to the other actors always letting them answer first and sharing the spotlight. The way she was petting the chair and her leg was very distracting in the beginning tho lol. Went home after and our friends we were staying with continued watching Agatha for the first time so we got more Agatha after paley! The red carpet inside in a basement was sureal. shoutout to the worker who helped our accomodations with the kick ass colorful "attention" glasses! I'll add more if I think of things :) Thanks for reading my little story and showing it love as well!
