I was tagged to answer these questions by @isthisabattleship

1. The very first fanfiction you read: What, when, why, feelings? What: Been way too long to remember. Actually ... it might have been Harry Potter and The Methods of Rationality (which, wow, some of the stuff in it does not hold up on further reading, now that I’m older and have done more reading). But yeah I think from there it was Harry Potter and the Natural 20 and from there I was doomed. 

2. Do you wear a fragrance? I use a lilac deodorant because I’m told it’s mild and difficult to overload on. I can’t really smell so accidentally using way too much of something is a pretty easy mistake for me to make. Also ... my worst trigger has to do with deodorant so while I’ve (slowly, over years) gotten to the point where I feel comfortable using something mild and light, I might never feel comfortable using any serious fragrances.

3. You are reading a very smutty fic in a public transportation, when suddenly (gasp!) you realize the person next to you is reading over your shoulder… how do you react? Depends on the person and the impression I get from them. Either glare like hell at them or ask them if they want the name of the fic. 

4. You already have Christmas-y stuff up? Nope. And I typically don’t, but I’m gonna be putting it up once I go home for the break, because we’re having my Taiwanese roommate over for Christmas and he’s never celebrated it before so we’re gonna go all out. 

5. Which Hogwarts house are you in? How do you feel about it? I don’t particularly care about this stuff, but if you asked anyone who knows me they’d be screaming Ravenclaw before you finished your question.

6. Share your favourite quick dinner recipe? I don’t really do quick dinners. If I typically put a fair amount of effort into meals, and if I don’t have time I just grab leftovers or something which doesn’t require cooking at all. I’ve got a quick breakfast recipe I’ve made for dinner before though. Toasted bagel + mini egg-loaf (tiny unfolded omelet) + anything pork or beef based + mayo + jam + salt + pepper + seasoned salt. Quick, and fills you up in that wonderfully warm way.

7. Last movie you watched in a theatre? It’s been a loooong time since I’ve been in a theater. 

8. What did you have the last time you went out for dinner? Ethiopian injera meal. Really good lamb and boiled eggs. 

9. Ever shaved your hair (or part of it)? Would you? Sometimes I’ll buzz my hair short. It’s like the only style I’ve found for it that really looks good. My hair is super soft (it’s like a cloud it’s ridiculous) and I love it when people run their hands through it so I want to find a good longer style though. I’m growing it out right now and just reaching that “I definitely need to get this trimmed” stage, but I don’t know what I want it trimmed to be like. 

Oh and I buzz my legs whenever it’s not super cold out because my legs gets ridiculously hairy and it’s like wearing wool thigh-high socks all the time. 

10. Worst job? Door-to-door canvassing for PaintPals. I had a super flaky boss who dropped the ball in ways that really fucked me a couple times. (Dude subcontracted out to some people who fucked up a job, refused to fix the botched job, refused to refund the botched job, and basically told the guy to go fuck himself. Said guy then apparently spread pamphlets throughout the area telling people not to hire PaintPals, explaining his story, and told my boss he was doing this. My boss did not consider this worth mentioning when he sent me in to canvass the area though. Including that house. The aggrieved guy was actually super nice though, apologized for making my job harder and said he was sorry that I’d gotten the job of canvassing an area he’d made hostile to me. He offered me water too, which as a canvasser instantly made me like him.)

(Btw: If you want a canvasser to go away and leave you alone, offer them water. We almost always carry water with us, but we’ve all been left high and dry before and it sucks. If you offer us water we will instantly love you. This has been true for every canvasser I’ve ever worked with or met. And once we like you we won’t bug you, we’d feel way too guilty. Seriously, if you follow up “I’m not interested” with “But do you want water?” there is no chance we’ll try to continue our spiel. We do not get pushy with water-givers.)

End of the journey

Sunday 13th : Paintball and leaving

After a great morning of sleeping and a good meal, we headed to the paintpall, wich is close to the guesthouse.

This was a unique experience, the first shot I’ve received will be remembered, it was not that painfull but yet enough to block me straight. We played differents scenarios, through the game everyone received shot and loved to play it. At the end a shooting stage on Mr Pezy happenned to finish the balls in the loaders, he ended up riddled of stains.

After that, we headed back to the guesthouse, we packed the bags fixed the rooms and leaved.

That weekend was a beautifull experience, but let some of us exhausted like that picture can attest.

“While I tend to meet women in bars, it isn’t a place I’d choose for an actual date.” he clarifies, pondering exactly what he might consider the ‘ideal’ scenario. “If I had to choose, anything that either gets the blood pumping, or at the very least, doesn’t involve sitting around all day. I’d much rather go on a gym date and a casual lunch after, than a formal dinner and movie that most seem to default to. But I’m fairly open to various activities: paintpall, hiking, and the like are all towards the top of my list.”
