Taking a break from painting for Grandfather Nurgle and diving into the depths of the underhive. First up is a test for my Van Saar gang. This is the leader of the gang, as of yet nameless...just like his gang! Faces are not normally my thing, so I followed a YouTube video from Darren Latham. For a first shot at using a new technique I’m happy with it. I’ll stick with this method for faces for the rest of the gang. Practice makes perfect after all!

Necromunda bases painted to match the boards. I used Leadbelcher, Abbadon Balck, Flash Gits yellow, and scrag brown to match colors. The yellow went on as Rakarth Flesh first, followed by a 1-1 mix of Rakarth and Flash Gits, then two thin layers of Flash Gits. I am rather enamoured by color matching Necromunda and Kill Team boards this way. My Delaque gang for Necromunda. The Coven of Wisps. Painted mostly using the recipe from the warhammer tv tutorial. I decided to use the colors as rank designations. Purple for the leader, blue for champions, and red for Juves. Violet for regular gangers. Pretty much all from one slice of the color wheel. I imagine this as a sneaky tactic to make the leader harder to distinguish from the gangers. I will probably find an extra place for the colored stripes. The webgun is a conversion taken from the genestealer neophyte hybrid box.
