This lovely summoning witch with her spell book and familiar (cat) from @darkswordminiatures is complete! Nerissa dazzles at the cabaret with her singing and dancing but there few know understand her true nature. She is a summoner, a witch of reasonable power and tentative control. She’s learned by doing rather than by anchoring herself to any mentor, master or guild. Nerissa is not a fan of owing debt, being under someone else’s thumb, or at anyone’s beck and call. The risks she takes often put her in mortal danger but the rush when a new spell succeeds is unlike anything else. Her cat Hex is no simple domestic feline. Alastair the Saint Bernard is a pewter mini from @darkswordminiatures. He’s a dependable companion always on the lookout for danger. He has an uncanny sense of direction always able to pick out the safest route. Plus there’s his super duper resistance to cold that can come in handy. Two more completed minis! Sluggort the Goblin Warrior from @darkswordminiatures was such a joy to paint. He’s super cool and has such detail and character! Gave him a cute base of some dirt/soil with a couple wee ground shrubs. He’ll be in my Etsy store shortly (link in bio). Then this Nolzur’s mini of an Aasimar fighter for my daughter based on her vision for it. Turned out pretty well. Now that my swap partner @vpwall has them I can share them without ruining the surprise. Thanks to @the.bearded.goblin for organizing the swap! I was a bit worried about the sword and tail making it ok through the mail but it seems I packed them well enough because they did! A challenge for me in this round for me was the reflection of the cloak in the shiny gold armour. I’ve not really done a lot of reflection work before. Turn out pretty good I think. A few items that made it into Christmas stockings this year.
