"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 (NIV) There is so much to reflect on during the Easter season; so much happened in such a short time that literally changed the course of history... which was all part of God's master plan (His-story) for humanity. And as we reflect on all this we realize how much God truly loves US..... "While we were still sinners"---these are powerful and amazing words, yet convicting and heartbreaking at the same time. God sent Jesus Christ to die for us, not because we were good enough, but because we were never good enough and He loved us that much! Wait, how much do we mean to God? We literally mean Jespus Christ to God, and so He chose to sacrifice His only son who would take our place, face and endure the cross, so that we could be in relationship with God the Father. I know, it doesn't make sense but this is God's love and it is unconditionally and freely given to us. Whenever you feel uncertain about God's love for you, remember that He loved you even before you turned to Him. "While we were still sinners" separated from God, maybe not even aware, or maybe we were and chose to follow the wrong path anyway... Christ still chose to die for us! If God loved you then, in your darkest of times, imagine how much brighter the days ahead can be if you choose to rely on His strength and love Him more and more everyday. There is nothing you can't overcome, nothing can stand in your way. Seek His presence in your life, if you haven't already, and watch things change in ways you never thought possible. God loves you, so much more than you'll ever fully know. Jesus paid it all. You might be lost by looking at this image; trying to figure out what on earth is He trying to say with those two items. Am I trying to advertise? Yeah sort of but not the t-shirt or pillow but something priceless not because it is cheap because it is beyond our ability to attain it. Many people are living their life based on yesterdays events, past mistakes, sins, guilt, addictions..etc. The Good news is Jesus paid it all for us on the cross by shedding His blood. God love the sinners; and hate sin in them, in fact no one is or can be good without Jesus Christ. That red t-shirt symbolises Jesus blood, which has spilled in order to make us righteous; holy before God. And the heart shaped pillow illustrates a new heart of purity, which is a new life with fullness of love, peace, joy, rest; freedom. As the word says "I'll give you a new heart, and a new spirit." I can't say I'm much of a fan of this day. I don't much like the idea Jesus undergoing so much suffering at the hands of the unworthy. But Psalm 22:2-3 reminds me, today and every day, that there is always a sovereign power in charge, and that the pain will be washed away (3 days hence). Time for Change?

I am ready for this semester and all of it’s challenges! We’ve entered week two and I am already ahead of schedule! Classes and lessons are off to a good start and I’ve found myself to be much more on top of my game as well! I started my first day of proctoring the Music Therapy Office today. It was awesome because I’m the only one in there for hours with my Macbook, a Desktop, and my iPhone surrounded by instruments. I was able to listen to my music as I got further and further ahead on my school work which is hard to do at night when all we wish to do is cuddle up under some warm sheets with our Bible and Starbucks! Note to all, Warm Bedding + Bible + Starbucks = a Heaven on Earth! ;) Anyways…. The day went great, the classes were swell, and we had a beautiful night of worship rehearsal. So all is well! Something big however did happen. By day end I made a very big change in my life. I don’t know where it will take me but I pray and hope it is the right choice. Some things just need to be done for the good of others. I pray for them and bless that their lives be as wonderful as they are. So I’d like to close today’s post with a little prayer and a short verse. 

Father, I thank you for all that you have given me. For all that you have given my friends, family, campus, and world. For you gave your Son who died on the Cross for us. I know You would never deceive my brothers and sisters for You have a plan for us all. You are the Infinite King and You alone deserve all of the Glory. May we be Your tools for Your use. May You us to show other what You’ve done. Father we are blessed in Your presence. You love us like no other. I pray that You help my friends, family, and the campus find peace in all of their unrest. Father I know that You would never give us something we were not strong enough to get through without You. Through You we are strong and through You we are blessed and loved. I pray that we will look towards You and You above all. For You paid it all, and All to you we owe. In your name we pray. Amen.

In these times I mention to you what has been said in 1 Peter 4:8 “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
