Could you imagine how bad the Campers' survivor's guilt must be? Like sure, a lot of people that were killed on the islands were bad people who frankly deserved it, but they also saw so many innocent people die, ntm I'm sure they saw all the news articles with death counts from Nublar (Death counts that may possibly be lower than what they are due to the fact that we all know they weren't able to retrieve every body).

Yet here they are, six random kids that managed to survive everything against all odds, despite not only dinosaurs but also grown adults wanting them killed on multiple occassions. They all went through things that realistically SHOULD have killed them, I mean, even the fall off the zipine in s1 was a lot. Ben on the monorail, Sammy with the Scorpious, plus everything else was realistically way too much for a group of 6 CHILDREN to survive, yet they somehow did.

But so many people didn't.

So many innocent people, workers, guests, adults, other children, all met their untimely fate simply because they needed a job or they wanted to have a good time with their family, meanwhile these 6 kids, some of which didn't even WANT to be there, somehow made it. They don't know how, or what they did to deserve it that the other's didn't, but they made it.

I dunno, I've just been thinking about that lately.

i've been inconsistent on tumblr regarding posting content. last time i posted was before 18th june for the exam. then i ghosted tumblr. well, i started to do extensive skin care and self care, and started to invest more time in my career and earning money through private tuitions, hence rarely got time to post anything. the exam went extremely well and then it got cancelled because i live in 'that' country where everything has been associated with multiple scamming projects for the corporates. the re-examination is on august and idc, i'd give the exam out of spite and get the fuck out of this country.

here's however, a glimpse of my work on a book review. this is where i work, on bed, with huge back pain and posture defect, with minimal food and bad lighting and endless distractions [from books around, also i'm neurodivergent] i've been immersed in coffee, red tea and cigarettes for the past 3 days and still 200 pages back. today is the deadline! and i'll be finishing off this fucking work like my life depends on it [it does, i'm getting paid]. back to work. Having been a longtime fan of the Alex Rider books, I was very curious whether or not they would keep the book Scorpia ending. I felt like they either had to go all the way and have that bullet really kill him so as to provide closure for the series, or they would have to cut it out entirely so as to not leave any loose ends.

At first, I was hoping they would be true to the books because it would be such an interesting way for the series to end, but after all of the grief and heartache Alex went through during his arc, by the end of season three I was desperately hoping they would let them walk away and be with the people that love him. It would've felt so heartrending and pointless to have Alex survive everything only to die at Kyra and Tom and Jack's feet.
