Day 1 - 15 days of Productivity

Today I woke up at 6.30am, ready to go for a swim but scrolled YouTube shorts until 8am 😤 no worry! I managed to put on my app block, plus the Forest app. For added motivation I had some chocolate that I told myself I could only eat after I'd studied for 60 minutes. It worked, plus I was able to study for 100 minutes afterwards easily.

So far:

348 study minutes

Made a timeline jpeg for my greyhound ban essay.

Put some old documents and rubbish into a trailer that will eventually go to the tip.

Dropped off some boxes to the charity shop.

Made dinner and did some chores.

Didn't finish my essay, but I'm super happy with how it's turning out.

Got some sad news that a friend of mine's dog is going to the vets tomorrow to pass away, was super sad about this. Feel like I need to add this in here - things come up in life at random times that really affect us, and it's good to have a cry about it.

She was beautiful, always gentle, always getting up to mischief even in her old age. I'll miss her.

Day 1 of 2 for the move. We'll be going to the building next door for the ground floor apartment, so that's good. Today, I move what I can, by myself, in between getting Sean to and from dialysis. Tomorrow-I will take Moxie and Ringo to the new place and safely ensconce them in the bathroom while the movers come to take the heavy stuff. Today-Ringo is playing in any empty box till I fill it. I'm struggling to get started. This is such a difficult task, but it must be done. Hello!

I know not many people are going to be viewing this blog; at the moment I am in exam season and I can't seem to get myself motivated! Argg! It's Sunday night right now, and I need to start holding myself accountable. My last exam is 15 days from now, so how does 15 days of productivity sound?

Thing is, I don't just have exams, I am also moving house at the moment, plus I am looking at opening up a small business to sell my paintings!!! I am getting super overwhelmed, and this is resulting in me simply not doing anything but doomscrolling through YouTube shorts. Priorities need to be made; schedules need to be written. So whoever is reading this, would you like to come along for the ride with me?

My goals for the next 15 days:

Make daily goals either the night before or morning of

Make daily reflections on what I acheived

Get out at of bed before 8am

My commitments:

Studying for 2 assignments and 1 exam

Moving house in 11 days

Things that I do for my mental health:

Painting and drawing, writing

Swimming (pool is only open 5-8am, which gives me an excuse to get up in the morning) and/or going on a short hike

Planning my small business ideas

Day 3 Review - 15 days of Productivity

So day 3 was pretty crazy. I got about 5 hours of sleep and woke up knowing I had a million things to do. My family friend came around at 12pm, and we worked on packing boxes for the house until around 3pm, which was honestly a lot more work intensive than I thought.

Things I/we did on day 3:

Packed a glassware cabinet, including all the charcuterie boards and platters.

Packed the bathroom, which involved going through every product, surprised that they were still in their best before date and playing Tetris with everything so that it only fit in one box.

Packed my sister's room (she is currently overseas). I put her on the phone for an hour and I showed her some things that were awkward to pack into a box, and she gave permission if she wanted them in storage or not.

Repaired a broken plastic piece on a curtain rod with superglue.

Submitted my essay! Finally!

I was completely exhausted around 8pm. And when I say I was exhausted, at around 7pm I couldn't even focus on a tv show we were watching - I was trying to scroll through Tumblr and my eyes couldn't focus on the words lmao.
