What is the Hello Puppy show in CKC actually like? Because it has the PA characters in it, but it can't be just a straight adaptation of the PA games because the two events we hear happened in the show are both death events in their respective games

My friend thinks it's an anthology series with each season being a new scenario with the same cast but I think it's just a cartoon where some amount of the cast dies almost every episode but come back the next episode with no injuries and no memory of it happening, what do you think?

man this is a fun question. here's what i'd do if i actually had to make a purrfect apawcalypse animated series that worked in as many "death" routes as possible: for the sake of a continuous plot, rather than die characters are just gravely injured before finding a witty way to escape. some game routes would have to be omitted because olive having several variations of stair-related oopsies wouldn't make for good tv, and some routes are just plain conflicting (like, ginger probably can't skin olive and sparky and expect them to pull up to the good ending without some serious grafting). season 1/pa1: olive and their friends would be quite bloodied, but would make it out of hachiko high school alive.

season 2/pa2: they get stitches and wind down at the grimalkin estate for olive's bday only to face patches yet again. by the end of it maybe ginger could use some minor healing magic to clot their accumulating wounds.

season 3/pa3: people get stabbed, people get pelted by spiky baseballs, patches makes it out with minor injuries, and bapawmet would definitely get summoned. maybe we could witness a vision of all the terrible things they could do, only for patches to do the right thing for once and have bapawmet heal everyone. it ends with olive still somehow finding the heart to forgive patches and the show is cancelled for teaching bad ethics to kids.

i'm. picky about horror i watch. quite possibly a bunch of it is cult classics, indie films, or just really obscure things i don't really think people have seen

for example, outside of like. the child's play movies and the latest scream movies, i don't particularly care for any horror mainstays like jason, freddy, leatherface, ect ect. they're just not interesting to me

HOWEVER

i have Varrying different favorites depending on catagory because i am a freak

favorite anthology;

trick r treat. this has been MY MOVIE since i saw it back when i was a kid. sam is my son boy allowed and i am one sidedly fighting his va for who has the most sam merch (don't ask me about the supposed sequel that's been announced for over a decade i hate the director)

runners up;

the v/h/s series and the abcs of death movies. v/h/s is fun and i LOVE the later instalments (especially 98 and 99) but the first 3 were kinda weak?? and god i hated the first ones wrap around story arc. abcs of death are honestly just really fun!! love seeing all the different ways people can interpret their word they got and can get silly with it (SHOUT OUT TO W FROM THE FIRST ONE AND P FROM THE SECOND I LOVE THE SILLY SHORTS SM)

quarentine. let it be known i AM AWARE this is a remake of rec, i just ended up seeing quarentine first and havent had the time to see the rec movies. i definately want to though, quarentine was a fun zombie movie

ABSOLUTE TIE BETWEEN SAVAGELAND AND THE RISE OF LESLIE VARNOM. savageland is just Really solid and i love the inclusion of the photos and the 3d map and everything OOOOO I LOVE IT!! behind the mask is a favorite for another reason and that is leslie varnom my little freak. i know he's a serial killer but he's so SILLY! i'm putting him in a bug cage to study him as we speak thank you. a bit upset they took away the found footage bit near the end but that ending has me holding out my wallet ready to fund a sequel movie <3

ONE MISSED CALL. i originally watched the eng remake with my dad but gave the original japanese version a go after finding out it exists and OOHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH!!!!!! /pos literally the only reason it's not my favorite is because my father (derogatory) set the ringtone from the movie as HIS ringtone. any time his phone went off he would look at us all worried like "that's not my ringtone..." my dad's a jackass

and because i'm on a roll legally i can say anything by eli roth fucking SUCKS. granted this man is a zionist so he fucking sucks in the moral department, not to mention his movie "green inferno" is his adaption of "cannibal halocaust" but like. his movies are just. so Mean, and for no good reason either. i dunno man i watched hostel too young so anything with his name attached gives me bad vibes

SO YOU HAVE CHOSEN DEATH

Ok ok ok so. I'll go by order of character. Some of them may or may not be mutually exclusive

Olive

A god (of halloween and the dead) similar to those in 90%s other game, Cool Kid Cody. Essentially they can canonically see the hearts above people's heads and are aware of the time shenanigans - they just say the same things each time so that outcomes are predictable. They don't mind dying, and the player is a power they contacted with magic. Theoretically at the end of each game they make a little pocket space in the clouds where they hang out with their friends in semi-god form, but also it's more fun to think no one knows (except patches but that'll be explored in his section). It's even FUNNER to think that they're not keeping it particularly secret, it's just that no one has asked so they didn't say anything. Olive is the shortest aside from Angel. Their house is in the god realm which means in the normal realm they're technically homeless which is why Coco had trouble contacting them in PA2.

Brownie

A chubby lil' corgi. Goes to parties and has a somewhat rough relationship with her parents because she keeps going off and doing things. Her family's rich. She paid for the milkshakes at the end of PA1. She's only marginally taller than Olive. She's a great negotiator, and has the best danger-meter of the group. She could be a powerful manipulator but really just prefers to be funny and cool. Has lots of connections. Might grow up to be a lawyer-

Sparky

Sports guy!!! Plays hockey but also does track and baseball. Has a sports scholarship. Tall as fuck (taller than Patches, even) and is constantly restless, balanced out by the sports. Known as the humble cool dude in his team. The guy you'd trust to hold your drink. Has good self-restraint and strong morals, but is not immune to temptation. Fairly good self-esteem, usually.

Coco

Such an older sister. Values honesty and reliability - would keep a promise if it killed her. Naturally volatile, but likes being kind and getting compliments. Her love language is gift-giving. She pays the bills by doing magic jobs. Her parents are dead (rip) and Angel is all she has, and the main thing she lives for. Before murdering Hachiko High, after finding out Angel was dead, she cried for six hours straight before wrecking her kitchen and crying for 12 more hours.

Angel

He has an inferior twink body and used to wear his hair in a braid. He has low blood sugar and has trouble eating, but Coco helps him. He likes sweets and books and blueberries. He's bi for men and enbies. He has memory problems from being resurrected, and mourns all of himself that he's forgotten. Prone to cute things.

Patches

His mom is dead and his dad fucking sucks so he likes to stay at Olive's house. The first time he went to their house was right after PA2 when he was in Angel's body and collared, which was also when he found out Olive is a god. Olive made him have fun and take care of himself. He hated it. Still has a craving for blood, and each of his friends have a different way of helping him with it. Sparky likes to spar, Angel urges him to write, Brownie gives him snacks (eat a snickers you're not you when you're hungry), Coco beats the shit out of him, and Olive hugs him until he feels better. On a few occasions when Olive has accidentally gotten hurt, Patches has drank their blood. Olive is okay with this. Patches listens to mother mother.

Let me know if you want me to elaborate on some things or ramble about other characters I'm so fucking excited by this game

Nelson in General:

Nelson (especially in-between PA1 and PA2, but he's been having these since becoming a Puzzle Agent in the first place) has recurring nightmares about being stuck in his office while people scream just outside the door.

Most of the time he can't move. Hands stuck in the same folded position. A prayer to a god that can't hear him.

Sometimes he can move, but he can't actually do anything. The door is locked, the window can't be smashed open...no matter what he tries, he can't get out.

He's not sure which is worse.

Post-PA2, his eyes sometimes glow green when he's mad or nervous.

He knows most of the FBI Building's vent systems by heart.

His hands are...constantly cold. It's been like that since he was a kid though, so it's probably fine.

Wildcard AU + On The Trail AU:

In the event where either Jim or Guybrush goes missing or loses his brain or some secret third thing that may or may not imply death, Nelson just loops around to...flatness. Or more like a cold hostility. Point is, he'll stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to either rescue his friend, or at least find out their fate.

The "forever weed brownie" meme happens in both AUs between Nelson and Guybrush.

Wildcard AU:

Sam & Max gave Nelson Psi-Blast Training in their mindscapes. They tried it the old fashioned way for a few minutes, but then they switched to Plan B (giving Nelson an empty gun and telling him its loaded) and that worked.

(I don't actually think the Psychonauts would let Sam & Max come within 5 miles of this guy but I like to think about it)

Eventually, Nelson's mindscape becomes a little more...nicer?Mental versions of people he knows live in the Scoggins part of it, so it definitely becomes a lot less desolate. Sure, there's always going to be parts where the woods that seem like they can devour you whole...but...

It's going to be alright.

On The Trail AU:

Nelson's immune to mind-wiping apparently? Specifically, just the Scoggins incidents. The Hiddenfolk tell secrets that the human mind cannot easily forget. But trying to does daze him a little.

This is one of the reasons the FBI kept him as Agent Superball's assistant rather than outright firing him or ignoring him again.

Speaking of which! He has memory-wiping sunglasses! He absolutely refuses to use them though.

He isn't immune to hypnosis however, but give him a piece of gum or ~10 minutes and he'll snap himself out of it, no biggie.
