the first couple of times I did the insanity workout I did it with a friend who kept track of the schedule for me, and he always said the month 1 cardio recovery workout was stupid so we never did it, and every time since I've just continued to trust that advice, but since it had been so long I figured I should at least try it -- and wow he was so right LOL i can do some squats and lunges on my own time without being shouted at thanks shaun t.
#idk maybe it's just that his presentation style doesn't really fit with low-intensity stuff but man LOL#could have been listening to a nice korean video :(#likewise i remember the ab workout being stupid#and we substituted it with the ab workout from P90X#but it's been so long since i did the program i feel like i should give it another chance LOL#personal#normal and achievable summer goals by me

Marathon Recovery: Strategies for Achieving Your Goals
Marathon recovery is the crucial process post-race that aids runners in rejuvenating their bodies. It involves a combination of rest, nutrition, and active strategies to heal and rebuild. Proper hydration and replenishing lost nutrients are paramount, promoting muscle repair and minimizing soreness. Gentle stretching and low-impact exercises enhance flexibility and circulation. Adequate sleep is vital for overall recovery, allowing the body to heal and adapt. Ice baths or compression garments can reduce inflammation. Gradual return to running with easy, short jogs prevents injury. Ultimately, marathon recovery is a holistic approach, prioritizing physical and mental recuperation, ensuring runners bounce back stronger.

Finally MMX Time!!! 👊
I have been looking forward to this workout for weeks! Little did I know that there was so many complex moves and freakin’ sprawls! 😳
But that’s okay because I have trained my body to be able to do this! I don’t think I could have done it in January! That’s why I started with P90X and have worked myself up in the last 10 months…to be able to do a workout like this! 💪
I’m still not perfect. I still don’t do the moves at 100% max. And my balance and form still leaves a lot to be desired. But I’m working on it! That’s more than I can say for the “before me” when I was giving myself every lame excuse in the book not to get my ass off the couch and just move!
I was so scared last year when I decided to make this commitment but I tackled this like I have every else in my journey. I start slow, do what I can, and then push forward. If I fall, I learn from that, and keep moving! I never give up!!!
About 2 more months I will have completed one of the toughest fitness challenges of my life! I’m almost there! And I’m already looking forward to what’s next! 😍

Been waking up at 4 am every other weekday to work out with Unfriendly. He's doing P90X, but realllllly modified / truncated because of how C19 has affected him. The last time we did it together was 2015. I'm just out of shape and can't fathom doing a whole DVD workout right now. He's been slowly building up for some months now.
Before I started joining him, I tried doing the jumping jack warm up piece of the kickboxing boot camp I used to go to from 2010-2012. As part of the warm-up, we would do two rounds of 100 jumping jacks. I got up to 50 and by 40 my ankles hurt. Like, what?? That's NEW.
Aging is wild.

Do your exercise and what's your routine if you do?
Lol of course I exercise, no way I'd be anywhere close to in shape if I didn't, let alone how I am now. As for my routine I just stole p90x workouts and try to do at least 3 per week

I didn't even realize it was considered an ED at the time bc I was like "I'm just being healthy" 🙃
God I hate how accurate this is 😭 I was the same exact way and looking back I’m just like… girl you were so stupid for not knowing how unhealthy that was because what sixth grader is waking up at 5 am to workout to their dad’s P90X tapes??? And then my parents were like “yeah we’re concerned so we’re gonna take you to a doctor” and then the next thing I knew I was at Children’s Mercy and they were telling me if I didn’t start eating soon I’d be hospitalized
Noooo that's so bad omg. I at least was still eating but I was just in my Alexis Ren era. I'm glad you got help though

boutta vent about some childhood shit under the cut. cw for eating disorder-related ableist fearmongering
thinking about the time I was in elementary school and I didn't want to eat what they served in the cafeteria that day (popcorn shrimp that stank narsty and tasted worse) so I just ate three apples. bc in my child mind, apples were healthy and therefore a satisfactory substitute. and then later that day I got sick at dinner and had to throw up and when my mother and her husband asked what I had eaten that day I told them what I had for lunch. and I guess they assumed I was starving myself so without asking any more questions they made me go up to my room and they sat me down with a laptop and vomit still in my hair and showed me photos of dangerously skinny women, like downright skeletal and were like "this will be you if you don't eat ^-^"
I still hate them for that btw. I'm actually in town rn I could get my partner to drive me over there so I can put milk in their gas tanks. I could.
also the irony is I literally do have an eating disorder (arfid) but all they did about that was make fun of me for being picky. also those people were so deeply fucking fatphobic like how the fuck are you gonna get on a second grader's ass about eating apples when you're out here replacing your meals with fucking NUTRISYSTEM. bougie ass fatphobic ass bitches. I hope that bald headed bastard throws out his back doing his stupid ass P90X workouts like he's still in the fucking military god I HATE those people I HATE them I hope their house explodes
#personal#sorry for the radio silence btw I am away from home and not looking at Tumblr a lot#hope y'all are doing good

Use Strong Visuals
High-quality visuals are essential in fitness ads. Use professional photography and videography to create visually appealing content. Ensure your visuals are relevant to your message and brand identity.
Leverage Social Proof
Social proof, such as testimonials, reviews, and user-generated content, can significantly enhance the credibility of your fitness ads. Showcasing real users' experiences with your product or service builds trust and encourages potential customers to take action.
Create a Clear Call-to-Action (CTA)
To promote online fitness should have a clear and compelling call-to-action. Whether it's signing up for a free trial, downloading an app, or purchasing a product, make sure your CTA is easy to understand and follow.
Test and Optimize
Regularly testing and optimizing your fitness ads is crucial for ongoing success. Use A/B testing to compare different ad variations and identify what works best. Analyze performance metrics and adjust your strategies based on the data.

By leveraging diverse ad formats, understanding your audience, and focusing on benefits, you can create impactful campaigns that resonate with your target market.
