i need to write the other awakenings but i'm strugglingggggg,,, i still don't have some personas down for the thieves in my swapped au <(＿　＿)>

everyone who has a persona:

akechi - robin hood and loki

shiho - ching shih (zheng yi sao)

sumire - cendrillon

tenma suki (navi oc) - torpe

everyone who doesn't have a persona (+ placeholders)

yuuki - placeholder as inigo montoya

hifumi - placeholder as moriarty the patriot

i do want to go in order of how they joined the thieves, but unfortunately yuuki is next on the list and i can't think of anyone for him. thankfully hifumi is after shiho which gives me time to think but also it's hard when i have no idea where to start for her. if anyone has any suggestions for them, i'm all ears at this point (´。＿。｀)

^ Redraw of P5A promotional art, I wanted to focus on the relationship between the Shujin Trio here but I've fleshed out relationships in full for all the thieves and so on.

Justice Makoto - Irene Adler (her true persona) I’m not sure about her false persona maybe something like Maid Marion maybe

Justice Sumire - Odile (her true persona) Odette as her false persona - so we get mirroring of how others see her and how she sees herself

Empress Makoto - Hera (Idk maybe it’s something like Elphaba and she’s finally going against those who pressured her to be perfect and stay in the lines so similar to Haru)

Lovers Haru - Gerda (The Snow Queen, sort of how haru ends up fighting for the “shiho” in her life despite all the hardships her fiancé keeps throwing at her)

Emperor Ryuji - Dionysus (not entirely sure on this but i think it fits, maybe ryuji’s resolve as the emperor is to break from kamoshida’s grip and bring all of his victims together to fight back? So not exactly like the cult of dionysus but it’s that gathering of people)

Chariot Yusuke - Something like Icarus (in the sense he got popular with his art quick and Madarame used him for fame so Yusuke got burned when Madarame said he was plagiarising and so the rumours started that yusuke would use almost anyone who was good at art or anything else for that matter)

Lovers Akira - Satine (Ik Satine isn’t like an actual figure but a character in a film but I felt her character fit well with lovers Akira and justice akechi in the sense their relationship was forbidden in almost every way)

Justice Ryuji - Sheriff Of Nottingham - His true persona god I think it’d be super cool! And maybe his false is something like Dick Wittington (or maybe that’s for Fool Ryuji) Justice Futaba - False - Lady Justice - True - Van Helsing (I just really like the sound of Futaba’s true form in the metaverse being really Van Helsing 04)

Fool Ryuji - Dick Whittington (I just love this sm actually)

Fool Ann - Bonnie Parker

Preistess Ann - Nike (Greek Godess of victory!)

Lovers Makoto - Psyche maybeeee not sure

and my first non reblog post of an au is my p5r swap au fanfic link. it is set to where you have to be logged in to view it because ai does comb through ao3, fyi. i'm not taking any chances.

anyways, this is just an out of order oneshot collection where i expand upon this au and experiment with my writing a bit. since this au is still developing, one thing i wrote in one oneshot can be changed in another.

basic gist of the au is the phantom thieves are now the black masks. akechi, shiho, mishima, hifumi, sumire, and an oc are the phantom thieves instead. akechi leads the phantom thieves and many things change. different velvet room, different attendants, different confidants, plus things like mamakechi and kasumi living. this takes place in the royal timeline, as you all can tell.
