#p4 appreciation post

So, I decided to do an appreciation post for each member of the P4. Naturally, I started with my favorite, Gregory Violet. Ever since I got into the Public School Arc, I think Violet was my favorite of the P4. Part of it was because purple is one of my favorite colors and I love wolves. But what sealed it was that Violet not only is a bit dark, something I can respect and relate to, but he also is a talented artist, and he's unapologetically eccentric. The mark of a true artsy type. One of my favorite moments in the Manga (SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T READ THE MANGA YET) is when he makes Greenhill keep a ridiculous pose, so he can supposedly draw him. Yet, of the three sketches he does do, Greenhill is not even in a single one of them! One of them is literally just a maze leading to a cup of tea and a teapot. And when Greenhill finally breaks the pose, Violet bemoans the ruin of his 'masterpiece' and vents his frustrations by chucking a loaf of French bread (which he was using as an eraser for said sketches, no less) at Greenhill's head.

(I'm also a fan of Helluva Boss, so as Loopty Goopty would say, Violet is eccentric and must therefore do eccentric shit!)

Honestly all of these traits, right down to him screwing with Greenhill, quickly made Gregory my favorite Prefect and I can't wait to see more of him in the anime!

i don’t really wanna live in a world where yosuke is less homophobic honestly. it’s interesting? i’d like to live in a world where persona the franchise is less extremely misogynistic (et al), but that’s actually different from yosuke the character exhibiting shitty biases. (are these things often presented similarly? sure, but they’re not at all inextricable. it’s pretty easy to not put teenage girls in skimpy outfits for sake of the camera while still having a character objectify them, as a purely hypothetical example). if you’re gonna rewrite a script to correct one of those things, yosuke being homophobic would not be my choice. it’s like not even his only issue. why not make him less misogynistic and mean and insecure and heteronormative and selfish while you’re at it? the various shittinesses are core yosuke characteristics, he’s a different guy if you get rid of them, even if it’s unpleasant. i think he’s interesting cause he sucks

it was the hungarian gp. you were in the mclaren hospitality. the mclaren kitchen was quite big, and your co-workers were extremely sweet. you mainly cooked for the drivers and mechanics, while guiding the others. you were tasting a dish when you feel a presence behind you. you immediately recognise who it is.

"what is it now, lando?" you ask with a knowing smile on your face. he sits down on the counter beside you and watches you as you work. "i was wondering if you would like to, maybe, just maybe, come outside with me and sit down and talk and get some food you know?" he blabbers

"are you asking me out on a date?" you tease him. "well, yeah. only if you want it to be. its okay if you say no" he says with a sad smile on his face. you cup his face with one of your hands and give his cheeks a squeeze. "ofcourse i'll come, dumbass. now shoo, let me work. you're too distracting"

the smug smile he has on his face makes you blush. "so i am distracting huh? what else am i? you can give me details when we go on that date" he winks at you and walks off. you just simply shake your head in amusement.

the date goes well. to be honest, more than well. you both have the most fun ever. lando is everything that you craved. he was the sweetest boy. day by day, meal by meal, both of you started talking more, discovering each other. one fine night, in his apartment in london, where you taught him how to bake his favourite cake, he surprises you by asking you to be his girlfriend. you say yes without hesitation. you knew he wasn't going to play around with your heart.

it was the brazilian gp. lando had placed P2 again! you were the proudest girlfriend to exist, and the happiest. you were just so incredibly proud as he was doing so good this year.

MOMENTS - 4 (Extras ✨)

(Racing Hearts : VOLUME 2) A/N : If any of you are Italian, I'm sorry in advance..... (I just searched up random things and put that in together) (Also that the last part was inspired by the iconic Adele live) ______________________________________________________________

The interview room was alive with chatter and the hum of cameras as Charles and Mark settled into their seats, visibly drained but still carrying the post-race adrenaline. Both had narrowly missed the podium, finishing P4 and P5 respectively, but their spirits remained light enough to handle yet another round of media questions.

The interviewer smiled warmly, leaning forward. “Alright, Charles, let’s start with you. Your number, 16—why did you choose it?”

Charles adjusted his cap, his expression thoughtful but relaxed. “Ah, well, originally, I wanted the number 7. It’s my lucky number,” he said with a slight smile. “But when I joined Formula 1, it was already taken. So, I thought about my birthdate—16th October—and decided on 16 instead. It’s still personal, and now it feels like mine.”

The room nodded appreciatively. A simple, elegant answer—just like Charles.

The interviewer turned to Mark, their grin widening slightly. “And Mark, your number—69—definitely a unique choice. Care to explain?”

Mark leaned back in his chair, his trademark smirk making an appearance. “Well,” he began, his voice smooth and teasing, “no one in F1 has ever chosen it before. Gotta be a trailblazer, right?”

The room collectively stifled laughter, a few reporters hiding their grins behind notepads. Mark’s mischievous glint didn’t waver.

“But on a more serious note,” Mark continued, his tone shifting slightly, “the number has… a balance to it. If you think about it, it resembles yin and yang—opposites complementing each other. Harmony, you know?”

Charles’ lips twitched, clearly fighting back a laugh. Mark, of course, wasn’t done. With impeccable timing, he turned to the nearest camera and threw a wink, the kind that sent fans into a frenzy.

The room erupted in muffled laughter, and even Charles couldn’t hold back his grin this time. Mark was unapologetically himself, and somehow, he made it work.

A few days later, another media event brought them together. This time, the interviewer asked a simpler question. “Let’s reintroduce you to the fans. Tell us your full name and a little about yourself.”

Charles, ever the gentleman, nodded and straightened up. “Charles Marc Hervé Perceval Leclerc,” he said, his tone smooth and confident. There was a subtle elegance to the way he said it, every syllable rolling off his tongue with ease. A murmur of admiration swept through the room.

Then it was Mark’s turn. He leaned forward slightly, a playful glint in his eyes as he began, his deep, resonant voice dripping with a rich velvety Italian accent.

“Marco Alessandro di Salvatore Valerio De Fiore Spencer,” he said, his voice lingering on every syllable, each name rolling off his tongue like a melody.

The room fell completely silent. Even the usual background noise—the faint hum of cameras and shuffling of papers—seemed to vanish. Everyone was captivated, hanging onto every word, the sheer elegance of his name leaving them momentarily stunned.

Charles, seated beside him, blinked. His lips parted slightly, and his gaze was fixed on Mark—not in irritation or amusement, but in sheer awe. It was as though he was seeing Mark in an entirely new light.

Finally, Mark broke the silence with a small chuckle. “Well, that’s Marco in Italian,” he added casually, his teasing grin returning. “In English, it’s just Mark Alessandro di Salvatore Valerio De Fiore Spencer.”

The spell broke as Mark's soft laughter rippled through the room. A few reporters scribbled down his full name, while others exchanged amused glances, still processing what they’d just heard.

Charles exhaled sharply, shaking his head with a faint smile. “Of course,” he muttered under his breath, his eyes briefly darting to Mark’s, who was clearly enjoying the reaction.

Mark caught Charles’ gaze and raised an eyebrow. “What? Surprised I have a fancy name, Leclerc?”

Charles’ smirk returned, but there was something softer in his expression. “Not surprised. Just… impressed.”

Mark leaned back, arms crossed, looking entirely too pleased with himself. "Good. I’d hate to disappoint."

The drivers’ lounge was unusually quiet, save for the soft hum of music playing from the speakers. Mark, draped in his Ferrari hoodie and resting lazily on the plush sofa, tapped his phone screen in an attempt to figure out Instagram Live. He had never done one before but, frankly, boredom had pushed him into uncharted waters.

The live stream flickered to life, and Mark’s face appeared on the screen, brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of the interface. “How the hell does this thing work?” he muttered, squinting at the flood of comments already pouring in. “Oh—wait, someone liked my post.” He grinned triumphantly, completely oblivious to the scale of his fanbase.

“Wait, wait,” he paused, holding his phone closer to his face, “what the heck? 20 million likes? WHAT? When did this happen? I just posted that picture two hours ago!” He blinked in disbelief, his jaw slightly dropping. “Is this normal? Charlieeeeeee!” he suddenly called out, his voice echoing through the lounge.

Charles, seated nearby and scrolling through his own phone, looked up in confusion. “What now, Mark?”

Mark turned the camera toward him. “I’m on Instagram Live. Say hi to your fans!”

Charles sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Salut,” he said with a half-hearted wave, clearly amused but too tired to put up a fight.

Mark beamed. “There you go, guys. Charles Leclerc himself! Now you can stop asking where he is.”

A notification pinged, and Mark gasped theatrically. “Yay! Someone started following me!” he cheered, pumping his fist in mock celebration. His excitement was so over-the-top it was hard to tell if he was serious or just playing around.

The comments were already descending into chaos:

“Why is he so cute and hot at the same time 😭😭”

“Someone tell him that he’s literally famous 💀”

“MARK!!! You have 55+ million followers and still get excited over one follow? 😂🥲”

“He’s so unserious, I love him 💀🤣”

“SHOW US YOUR ABS, KING!!”

Mark scrolled through the comments, chuckling. “Show my abs? What is this, a thirst trap competition? Charles, are you seeing this?” He tilted his phone to Charles, who just shook his head, smirking.

Just then, the music from the lounge speakers shifted to a catchy pop tune, and without warning, Mark began to sing along. His voice was rich and melodic, effortlessly hitting the notes. He didn’t even seem to realize how good he sounded, casually leaning back into the sofa as he sang.

The comments exploded:

“HIS VOICE??!?!?! 😭😭😭”

“HOLY SHIT HE’S UNREAL”

“Someone sign him up for a record deal, NOW.”

“The audacity to look like THAT and sound like THIS 🥲”

To make things even wilder, a notification popped up that made Mark pause mid-verse. “Oh,” he said, eyes wide, “Wait. Is that—?” He squinted at the screen. “Oh my god. Sabrina just joined? Are you guys serious?” Meanwhile across the room, Charles' jaw tightened after hearing Sabrina's name.

He laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. “No way, this is insane.” Mark started scrolling through more names. “Guys, Sab is here! My Instagram Live is a freaking concert now.”

The comments begged him to continue:

“PLEASE SING MORE.”

“Mark is ICONIC af”

“He’s unreal… cute, hot, talented—someone STOP him!”

Mark playfully winked at the camera. “Alright, but only because you asked so nicely.” He leaned back and started humming a slower, emotional tune, his voice sending shivers down the spines of everyone watching.

The live continued in chaotic perfection, with Mark alternately singing, bantering, and losing his mind over celebrity interactions, all while fans spammed the chat with increasingly thirsty and unhinged comments.

As the stream finally wrapped up, Mark waved goodbye. “Alright, that’s enough chaos for today. Thanks for making me realize how famous I am, guys. Byeee!” and shot a last wink at the camera.

KURO-SHIT <3

The first item in our Black Butler Haul is a double sided poster of unknown origins. Seemingly drawn by the A-1 anime team that is all the information I have.

My better half @mister-astringent loved both sides of this poster and as we have very little merch of Tanaka I conceded.

Look at him. With his weird little Snowman.

The second and third items are these adorable foam hangers from Book of The Atlantic. I again have very little merchandise of the "mini" Midfords, so here are Elizabeth and Edward ready to throw down with some reanimated corpses.

Bought as a bundle, I now have the full set of Kuroshitsuji Clear Acrylic A4 posters.

These posters were given out as part of a promotion for The Public School Arc in Japan.

The first three character specific posters have a clear window behind their design, but honestly the Sebastian and Ciel full colour print is my favourite.

My fifth order item is this Undertaker Acrylic Standee from Book of Atlantic.

When doing some digging it appears to have been from an Aniplex collaboration with Aimon.

This particular character design of the set really stood out for me, because although they all are pretty to look at, undertaker canonically has stood in front of stained glass windows: in quite an iconic moment of the series.

The background is holographic and honestly the photos don't do justice, for how beautiful the shimmering colour changes are in the light.

A one of a kind item next and technically last.

While browsing for new items to add to the collection, I came across a seller who hand carves erasers (Linocut) for stamping.

They had a ton of designs from various series available, so naturally I had a good look through all the Black Butler ones; I found this P4 one early on and fell in love with it.

The stamp is incredibly detailed and impressively carved, something I appreciate as someone "Arts and Crafty".

BONUS ITEMS: Unfortunately, I cannot open them to give a better look yet as they are joint gifts for Xmas, but we are going to be exchanging the Groove Inc Pullips of Robin and Tutor.

So expect mass postings of their details probably in late December or the New year.

I can tell you though, that their eyes are stunning, and the details that have gone into them are gorgeous to look at. The boxes designs are cute as hell, with all of their extra items laid out around the dolls and it seems like they also seem to come with little collector cards as well.

...One of my many merchandise collecting weaknesses...

~A quick little side note though~

WHO WAS GOING TO TELL ME!? LIKE ACTUALLY!!!

These dolls are massive! Both me and @mister-astringent thought that they would be around the 9 or 10 Inch mark.

However, we just did a rough measurement and Robin is 12"ish and Tutor is approximately 14"!!!

P4 roommates!au hcs

since we're getting a season 4, i wanted to celebrate with hcs i had in my notes for quite some time but never posted :') i'm so excited to see my babies gjfjgkdkd 2024 is gonna be a hell of a year

・bathroom shelves sharing : 40% gregory's make up tools, 40% edgar's shampoos, 20% lawrence and herman's basic stuff

・edgar takes way too long in the bathroom it's criminal

・"tHis cAsTLe iS in UnAcCePtAbLe cOnDiTiOn" — lawrence every 3hours

・gregory lets his art supplies lay literally everywhere in the apartment. eventually the others got tired of telling him to tidy the space and got along with it

・movie night every saturday

・ they all agree on dead poets society to be the Sacred One™

・and disney. they like disney.

・edgar is the official driver since Lawrence drives like an eighty year old, herman has no chill and Gregory doesn't have his driving license

・they go to the library all together at least once every two weeks. they're well known and appreciated by the librarians

・that weird period of time no one is allowed to talk about is when ed and law flirted so hard and yet so obliviously it became awkward for the whole flat-share

・herman and gregory are like kids when halloween is coming. they're the once who put on decorations and buy candies. they even go for a candy tour on 31st. law and ed are tired parents

・they all have such different music tastes their common playlist is a huge mess

・they all agree on classic, jazz and slow rock tho

・ed and law insisted on having an entire wall covered with book shelves. they were the happiest when it happened. precious moment

・gregory is the medic. and he's also the one that gets sick the easiest. beat that logic

・gregory somehow managed to convert the others to billie eilish

・herman is basically bob the builder, when there is a problem in the flat he's in charge

・they just randomly welcome lost pets until their owner shows up

・herman often cooks for them four, he likes to make his friends eat some healthy food

・gregory can listen to the most cheering up sped up tiktok remix songs ever created with a completely straight face

i can't wait to see them on screen, they're so precious <3

thoughts on yosunao / shiromura shipping?

I actually rather like the ship! It's one of my favourite ships in p4 tbh- I feel like it's got so much potential. Yosuke and Naoto are probably the brightest members of the Investigation Team up with Yu, and I think they might disagree with each other at first but would come to a comprehensive understanding of the other.

Plus, Naoto's more strong-willed and high-strung, while Yosuke is very laid back and easygoing (on the surface). They'd balance each other out. Naoto would probably be able to appreciate Yosuke's intelligence, while also probably making fun of his grades (while helping him study). Yosuke would probably also tease Naoto back, while being aware of when to back off (later on... I think that it would take a few incidents of Naoto secretly getting offended before Yosuke realized he needed to read Naoto's cues a bit better).

And they both have the prince title! And wind spells! It'd be hilarious in canon for Yosuke to start dating Naoto- one of the most popular people at Yasogami dating the one of the most hated. The Investigation Team would definitely ask what Naoto sees in him.

I also love Souyo and Kannao and Naorise, but Shiromura is such a rare pairing and I can't get enough of it. I'm actually writing a fake dating fic for them rn- if anyone wants to ask about it ;D
